I give this store two stars because the bathrooms at the front of the store are dirty almost every time I good in there. The toliet paper holder was broken last time I went in and the side of it was hanging down. You could see tape was placed on the top to try and hold it in place. They should redo those bathrooms. Most of the staff that works there are great and helpful.

This walmart as his high and lots of lows. Had twice a issue with discrimination and all that because a employee told there was a guarantee on the product when in fact there wasn't , so bought it for nothing. Another fact food wise, found three times rotten meat underneath counters. But has good quality fruits and cheap clothes for underneath budget or low incom. The bathroom are not very clean unfortunately.

Very nice plaza, but shady neighborhood. Black market sellers approach you while looking for parking. Walmart has very nice staff, probably nicest I have ever seen in Walmart, but a lot of the food and cosmetics packaging is damaged. People just come in, open products, eat some and then leave it like that. It is a bit gross. Also, one must be careful with cosmetics products as customers simply open products take half of it out and leave. I have seen that happen before, but never to this extent.

Definitely not a supercenter, they don't sell any fresh meats and have a small selection of fresh veggies. They do sell dairy, cheese, hotdogs etc, with a mix of dry goods and frozen foods. Staff is always friendly with good customer service. A bit on the smaller side so it gets crowded very quickly

This is a great store to go shopping at because it has everything and its all at a reasonable price. The tills get backed up alot though. I know quite a few people who worked there and they liked it. The only downside is how many people are outside smoking around the doors and going near the shopping cart areas you get asked for money to buy smokes from bums.

Very disorganized and hard to find what I was looking for. And there was no staff around to ask. When checking out they had too few cashiers on that the lines were so long it forced people to use the self-checkout (which I don't like using). But even that was disorganized and the worker was just standing there rather than helping people, showing them where to line up or which station to use.

I usually walk into Walmart expecting bad service and almost never surprise. I was in for a treat when i went there looking to acquire a blow up mattress. Asked a sales woman where i could find one. (Usually i get a "somewhere on that side of the store") but the lady took me right to them, asked in detail what kind i wanted and what she recommends to be the best. I was very impressed with the service. If they hire more people like her, walmart would have a better reputation. Otherwise, keep it up.

It is good place to get some deals and get shopping done fast and at the time i am posting this they are adding more treadmill checkouts to help with all those people who come and are bulk shoppers. hopefully they have people on them and dont let them sit empty or that wont do much good. There is also one of those picture places in this location so if you need a passport photo or hunting license or even just a good old family picture they can handle that. They also have a McDonald's in this location to so if you are ever hungry or just want a snack before you go shopping so dont over buy on junk and other stuff they can do that. The only real problem i have is the parking lot there has at least been twelve or more times when i have been harrassed for money or for someone to put my cart away and the infamous can i have a smoke it is even worse if you do smoke because those things aren't cheap.

My go to walmart because of convenient location. Easy bus route from downtown hamilton. Just one bus. But this walmart doesn't have a very big selection of items and often out of stock. Also one of the smaller walmarts. I've never had a problem with the employees. All seem friendly and helpful.

This is the smallest Walmart In all of B.C, if not Canada. This is a fact. Almost every photo taken and shown above are from other Walmart Supercenters. Lower your expectations when entering the Powell River location. The selection is much less. This store sells food, but don't expect to do your grocery shopping here. It only has a few essentials. It's not an actual grocery store. Expect everything to be smaller here. This is not a large location. Please report any and all photos above as incorrect if they do not represent the "Powell River Location". There are many photos that have been posted from other walmarts and are incredibly inaccurate. For those having trouble accessing the store, you must enter from Ontario Avenue and go down a little incline to the main entrance. During open hours of the mall you can also access it from within the mall.

We shop here quite a bit for odds and ends, they are pretty organized and the staff is usually friendly and helpful. Chirstmas time it's a gong show but otherwise it's a great location. In the summer we shop alot at the outdoor section and there prices are very fair compared to there competitors.

It's a good store. Most of the staff are mostly friendly. Sometimes there's a few standing around chatting when a cashier would be really handy to get check out lines moving. And the shelves aren't always stocked to the fullest. Alot of times I've gone to pick something up that isn't there and "isn't coming til next week" kind of thing. All in all tho. It's convenient and I find it to be alright.

It is really a good store to buy grocery and other stuffs. But only problem is that it has only one halal section in the entire store and sometimes it goes out of stock as well. Not a constant selection. Items removed and replaced with Great Value, (Walmart brand). Perhaps people prefer what they usually purchase, NOT, the Walmart brand. I like Quick chocolate mix. Customers seem to be the main problem with Walmart keeping up with covid rules. People are not giving each other space while walking through the store and now when it's more important that you return your cart to a cart return spot so it can be cleaned before use for the next customer people are still leaving carts in the middle of parking spots. Walmart is the best place to shop for general wares in New Liskeard, though I must admit Im having some problems with it. I absolutely hate that they expanded self checkout when a lot of the time I just wanna pay with cash, and it leaves employees with less jobs! (I assume they did this as a result from being short staff as I've heard they were looking for employees before this) They added a temptation isle in order to get to the checkout which I find personally disgusting as it shows how far this Walmart is willing to go to milk their customers. I understand it from a business perspective but that doesn't make it right. On the plus side, their electronic department has been very helpful with helping me find a potential new phone and the clothing is quite nice here and there.

As far as Walmart's go, this is a rather large Walmart. Much more space. More shelves with many products not found in other smaller Walmart's. Even in produce and dairy. But it is the busiest of any Walmart I've been to. Parking lot is huge, but limited spaces, since those spaces are shared with the other retail outlets in the immediate area of the plaza. The parking spaces seem a little smaller than normal. Keep the sports car at home. Bring the beater. A go-to place for anything you need at prices that are lower than you expect on most items. Great value!

Parking has never been an issue in the plaza. Mostly friendly and knowledgeable staff, they're fairly good at pointing me to the exact place where the products I look for are located. The products have been in great order, I hardly ever see anything misplaced on the shelves. They're also pretty cheap, but quality items; I tend to buy more than I think I need. The issues come when you try to return things; it's not that it's too hard to, but the staff working that desk don't appear as friendly as the ones walking around, and I find myself thinking the issue is with me, rather than my product - this might be the only location that asks me why I'm returning something, rather than simply taking it back and giving me a refund or exchange. The area around the McDonalds in-store seems rather random; it quite frankly doesn't seem like it ought to be there. It doesn't seem as clean and the lighting (or the choice of flooring and furniture) appear to be a bit darker than what I'd call 'warm'. In all, I recommend this location.

In so many words, it's Walmart. They have a lot of food in small packages, and sell it for a reasonable price. They come up with cheap knockoffs of products others spend a lot of time coming up with. They sell electronics way over priced, yet people still buy it from them because they believe Walmart is a trusted brand. They have 20 checkout counters, yet they never seem to have more than 4 open at a time, which makes for long waits in line. They move around products daily, which makes it take a long time to re-find a product you like, then when you miss it the first time (because it was put behind a random pillar in the middle of the isle) you have to go through the store again. So, it's what I expect in a Walmart.

I love this Walmart and especially the girls at the Fruits & Veggies and I give them a 5 stars. I will not purchase any electronics there though, I get frustrated with the lack of knowledge of the staff overlooking that section. I will not go to McDonald there. 20 minutes for just a french fries? Always the long line up at Lunch and they are never prepared. I have seen so many people leave because of that. Overall a good store with great price. Cheers!!!

I always shop at the south Wal-Mart for location convenience. I live almost an hour from town. Over the last 2 weeks they have a whole new set of clerks. I have now been charged over 10$ more for them double scanning only one item. This is frustrating considering it it the $8.00 or the more expensive item. If they cannot train their staff properly then I guess the thousand of dollars i spend will be spent elsewhere. I always watch and should not have to check and recheck my grocery bill before I leave the store!!!

Quick stop to all my needs. Has everything you need and never has been super busy that I had to wait long. Always in and out quickly, unlike in the big city you go to Walmart and your there for few hours shopping and seems your waiting longer in line. Employees are nice, and were helpful when I asked.

Used to work there in the penticton area and managers there are nothing more then scrooges themselves.... My bf has not had a single christmas day off from walmart and they refuse to let him have this christmas off.... theyre nothing more then hipocrits and two faced, back stabbing no forgoods, i would not recommend anyone to work there ever, the managers garronteed get christmas off not to mention they work there associates to death and expect it all to be done within 3- 4 hours. Not to mention they put shame on those whom are not physically fit enough and tell you to lose weight in order to work faster, its happened to a few people i know of and even myself and HR does absolutly nothing about it.. Just a "ill look farther into it" but in reality it goes in the ear and out the other .. And they wonder why there mark is the worst in BC for unhappy associates... They treat you like dirt.... If i could leave no stars, id definetly do so but because i have to, only one star is given for the worst company i have ever worked for.

Unfortunately, our experience in the Walmarts in Toronto is never a pleasant one. The staff are unpleasant not trained well with service dog coming to their establishment. Just a nasty place for people with a service dog. I do believe that you deserve this guy because he is not a pushover.

I give this Walmart three stars solely because of the lack of entrances and exits into the parking lot. One entrance/exit being shared by two big box stores, Tim Hortons, Boston pizza and several other retailers is nowhere near enough. There is always a line of cars waiting to come and go from this parking lot. After a local man was hit by a car last year they announced that a second entrance was coming sometime in 2018.

We , me and my son needed help to find a sound box for the Playstation remote and the employee was actually very nice and friendly , she was all smiles the hole time. Unlike the one male who i hate to say but smelled BO very badly as I said sorry and just walked away from him as I was gaging, even with a mask on . Welcom to Ontario Canada, and congrats on the new job. Here its ok to spend as much time as you like in a shower morning and night . Everybody will be a lot happier and more approachable. Unless you don't like people then thats a great way to not meet new people.
