Waited at the Cosmetics department for 20 minutes, only to see that the cosmetician was talking to her friends. Once I finally got some help, I asked her for an opinion on a product and she told me what I already knew. I went to Shoppers Drug Mart in Cobourg and they were a lot more helpful.

In short utterly worthless. Haven't been in more than 3 times in the past 4 years cause they tried double charging for my prescriptions (which is illegal) but earlier today I had to use the post office in the back of the store which was closed for all of its posted hours "due to rain" yet the instore cosmetics sections and the massively overpriced instore starbucks were both open, now tell me which is more important? bearing in mind that the post office is staffed by pharmasave employees NOT canada post! so the trip wasn't completely wasted I did buy some coke zero advertised at "2 for $8" but at the cash register they did a bait n switch on the price charging $3 more which is also illegal. Avoid this scam outfit like the plague. Theres plenty of other drug stores in town that DON'T rip you off every chance they get.

Pharmacy seems effective, especially if you reorder on line. Typical over priced regular items for sale, just like Shoppers Drug Mart before them. Did find out you can rent crutches from them at a pretty good deal. So at least your not stuck owning them if you only need them for a short while.

I have been in and out of Pharmasave many times, and I can't help but notice a huge change in demeanor with the staff. Especially at the post office. I couldn't tell you the last time I dealt with a friendly face when doing my postal errands. Maybe the store is under new management, maybe? I said that with hope because there is no way people could possibly be seemingly sour every single day. I gave 3 stars only because of things like, - the store is clean & kept well stocked. - the cashiers up front have been super kind and courteous, even with all the struggles going on. I have only encountered the not so pleasant cashiers, MAYBE a handful of times.

For the most part, this is a great place. It’s got very friendly staff and a nice selection of products. It’s VERY frustrating however, that such a large store closes at 8pm. There have been many times where I am unable to get my prescription until just after 8, and I cannot because they have closed. They should at least be open until 9 like all other large retailers.

Like other reviews have mentioned the prices here are 30-50% more than other Pharmasave and pharmacy locations. For example a small bottle of Ombrelle sunscreen was $18 (normally that’s normally the price for the large). We didn’t have any and needed some so we had no choice. The pharmacist was very helpful though as we had a wasp sting to deal with and he pointed us in the right direction.

The pharmacy side is great. But otherwise the regular prices are too high...I believe you achieve higher sales when you have competitive prices. I only buy sale items here. Many businesses think higher markups make sense ... Sucessful ones find a balance.

very clean and organized store..I am always welcomed by a friendly face and smile in the cosmetics section as soon as I walk into the door. The pharmacy staff are also amazing, they consistently get my prescriptions done on time. Recently I was served by one of the pharmacy girls (unsure of her name, I think I overheard Mandy?) who was exceptional. She was beyond patient and empathetic while discussing my prescriptions with me-she made me feel at ease and made me experience that much more enjoyable. I look forward to all future trips in this store

You can get everything here. They even have a British section with all sorts of candy, chocolate, cookies and drinks. Gift ware and cosmetic sections are substantial. Small grocery section. Starbucks inside. Love going here even though I don't live close to it.

I was in the store and the customer service agent, Jenn, was not very friendly. All I did was ask her to help me find something in the store and she sighs and rolls her eyes. Then on my way out after picking up my prescription the same lady is doing the cash and she doesn't smile, say hi, or even look at me. Wow, why would you have such poor customer service? If you dislike your job that much then leave, don't take it out on the customers. I will never go back here. I've already switched my accounts to Shoppers Drug Mart were the staff is friendly and welcoming.

Phoned in prescription at 8:15 a.m. to be ready for pick-up at 9:00 a.m. FINALLY ready at 9:35. Only when I showed up did they start to prepare it. VERY BAD Customer service.This has happened almost every time we phone ahead.WHY OFFER this at all?

My wife and I had a very bad experience talking with the pharmacist. He didn’t seem to have time to listen to the symptoms that my wife is experiencing at the time. He was short with her and more than a little rude. He turned around and walked away even before she was finished talking to explain her symptoms. I would drive an hour out of my way so I don’t have to go back to this location!

i was there to order some drinks at 5:44pm. i was on the line no one in front of me but no one willing to say hi and take my order. i was waiting on the line there was a guy at the cash stand there and doing nothing. no hi or how can i help you anything. 1st time to this location but i always go to other ones. i always get best service form starbucks but after this i am not going to go back here anymore.
