Nurse and security lady were nice! But room 27(office) ‘s staff, maybe Indian, I’m upset with him. I asked where should I go next( for X-ray)? But he said “ No, no more. Bye bye” He didn’t even answer my question! I can’t believe this attitude. Just so dissapointed

Christina French

Worst hospital ever with the longest wait times and most of the staff sits around talking

I've been here lots over the last few years for various procedures and treatments. The staff and nurses are always a pleasure to deal with and the doctors are no nonsense and are excellent at finding the source of the problem.

I go here all the time for different doctors, a bit confusing but good hospital.

Although not the newest hospital around, I've never really had a bad experience getting good health care here. The place is quite accessible, though parking is paid. It can be really confusing to get around but there are maps, signposts and helpful volunteers wearing red vests standing around everywhere..and if you're still lost just ask pretty much anyone passing by. There's sometimes a farmers market out in front of the Centennial building so check their website for the most up to date scheduled. They also have a decent food court.

Had surgery recently and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was amazing. Big thanks to the doctors and nurses and all the pre-surgical floor employees. Everyone seemed to make my experience pleasent and the wait time for each step was almost non existent. And a big thanks to Teresa at the gift shop who made my day with her positive attitude and the cool chick who took my blood and made me laugh.

Dr Shuba and team did a great job on a difficult cataract surgery. Was well looked out for!

I went there because I have a injury I'm bleeding and they denied me medical service from a public building because I wouldn't do the China 1984 even though I'm healthy except for my injury they told me to find another place to get treatment they violated my civil rights even after having an appointment it still took them 2 hours to even see me which I still didn't get service this place sucks!.

Andrew Townsend

The best health care providers but the facility is too old and needs to replaced.

William MacCulloch

Been there twice in the last six months and every experience was too drawer. Nurses, Doctors and all staff were excellent.

There has been talk of tearing this place down and replacing it with something newer, requiring less repairs and renovations, etc...has been around for at least 30 years. However, it survives and is a VITAL part of our health care system in Nova Scotia. For a building of this age, it is surprisingly well maintained, and the staff are quite wonderful. You can complain all you want about long wait times and such, but health care in Canada is FAR better than in our neighbour to the south, in a number of very important ways. Its not perfect but its much better than many of the alternatives.

I was so scared to go down there because of the virus but they had everything so sterile as you enter the hospital it eased my fear a fraction I still wore to masks and gloves while I was there.

Excellent hospital. All that I would expect from a top level medical care facility.

Around the Wolrd In 80 Days!

By referral from our son's PEI physician, we had to wakeup our boy at dawn to arrive at Victoria General on time, they refused to give us a late appointment, and after many visits without any progress, we've found out that the bad Victoria General urologist was experimenting on our son in the front of his trainee for inserting a Catheterization camera in our son's penis without Anesthesia, our baby son's screams made us deadly worry, with deterioration in his health and mode. We insisted to be enlightened about what is going on? and what is the end of this?, the bad Victoria General urologist refused and called the Child Protection Services | Prince Edward Island to intimidate us. The worse is the Child Protection Services | Prince Edward Island responded in his favor even if our son will die in his experiments and sent their squad to confront us at the health center while we are checking there on strange swing on our son's response, our son developed AUTISM the same day. Can You Forgive a Devil?

I tried for an hour to contact the hospital to inquire about a patient. I was transferred six times, even was told there was a phone in his phone which I was connected to. HOWEVER, I know this patient does NOT have a phone in his room. I asked to be transferred to the nurses' station, which I was. However, I was transferred BACK to the patient switchboard AGAIN, even though I explained the problem. Not impressed.... Wouldn't it have been easier to just get an update from whomever ??

Diane Jakubiec

the staff here is awesome. they treat everyone equal

Kyle Cousins

Patients are allowed to have a support person as of Feb 27th......but they still refuse to allow a support person..... I hope more people cause scenes in your hospital for not following the rules set out by the NSHA.....I have a few choice words I'd love to use but won't.

Terrible experience with one of the night nurses. Too bad one can ruin it for all. Very unprofessional conduct at a very trying time.

The staff is generally friendly. My biggest issue is with the age of the building and its condition. Compared to the Infirmary, it is outdated and in need of fixing up. My dad is in long care there and the rooms are depressing and the many corridors look like they haven't been touched since 1950.

My cousin has been in the qe2 for 5 weeks know, she is deteriorating more every day and the doctors still dont know whats wrong with her. She has fallen going to the bathroom unable to walk probably and waited 2 5 hrs for a nurse to come and help her up. Very poor care know they have her in a corners, not eating or drinking, no IV, no meds, no nothing . My heart is breaking and beyond frustrated with our medical system something really needs to happen. They havent even bathed her for 3 weeks know until i did yesterday, unaware of this care. I go in as much as i can to help take care of her. Just font understand, i pray that know one else has to go through this horrible treatment

I went for an exray which I had made appt online. When I arrived at the hospital there was alot parking available. I arrived 5 minutes prior to exray. After getting screen in the lobby, I took elevator to xray dept. I registered and within 5 minutes I was called. I was not in the hospital more then 15 minutes and I was out the door, exray completed. Good job it would be good after Covid gone if.they keep same type of booking it worked great for me no waiting and waiting to be called for appt.

This hospital is a great place. The doctors and other health care support are one of the best in the country. I am here alot. And every time I come for appointments they just make you feel good. If you are ever feeling worried. They give you hope and real honesty.

In and out. Staff were knowledgeable and polite.

Great hospital with a lot of elevators and many floors. Residents eat a lot of jello. Kiosk based self check in is wonderful. They keep the cold ones in the basement so unless your appointment is on a bottom floor you should be fine. Talk to you doctor about how to access medical blueberries.

Never had any bad experience staff are friendly and helpful the nurses and doctors are spectacular very caring and go beyond their calling thanks for the great service I received during my 4 days love you all and thanks again

My son has been a patient since December 2018 and we both agree that the staff on 8A are above exceptional, they have become our family after a long stay so far from home. They go above and beyond and when facing life threatening issues these are the people you want standing beside you. I do have a few minor complaints and they pertain to the porter services and clerks in the blood collection services. A little more professionalism and less complaining about your jobs in front of patients would be appreciated. They really don't need to hear it, they have far more pressing issues to think about.

John Doody

We got into emergency. It was busy. There was a bit of a wait. Expected for the Canadian health care system. However, paramedics and staff went out of their way to get my mom looked after.

Robert Lumpy

Twice I left my table in the cafeteria with a new drink on it during quieter hours for just a few minutes and both times the staff threw it in the trash. Trash is left all of the floor of the cafeteria but it’s my newly bought drink that’s the priority. Thanks for wasting my money! God knows I paid enough with the dreadful parking

I have been a patient at the cancer clinic since December of 2015 and have been treated with great kindness and respect. Every person (working there) with whom I have come in contact has been exceptionally professional and caring. The staff at the IWK Women's Health centre, the nurses at the VG. chemo department, the technologists at the radiation centre, the oncologists, the surgeon and their nurses have, without exception, been extremely supportive and careful to protect my dignity. This is especially important when one is feeling vulnerable and scared. Although some of the buildings are old, the staff at the cancer clinic is amazing. Thank you.

It's a hospital. What more can I say.
