I’m sorry to say that! I’m shopping there more than a year, atleast once a week. But I never find the staff are helpful, I was ignored most of the time. The other day I went to self checkout and scanned a whole basket of groceries and tried to pay three times. Every time the machine got frozen. The SCO lady and her coworker were looking at me the whole time like something suspicious. But not a single time they offered help until the 4th time. The lady asked me to try inserting card again.But no hope! Then she asked me to go to another machine and start all over again!! She told me this is the second machine got frozen today like this!! My point is, if she know the system had problem from that morning, why would I waste my whole time trying instead taking me to an other till and help me to do so. No apologies nothing from her side. It was so disappointing and frustrating experience…how come people are so ignorant and don’t know the meaning of customer service nowadays!!

This Sobeys is always clean and tend to have things in stock when I go there. The only down side I've ever had was it seems that a lot of the workers weren't up to date on coupon policies. Also not everyone follows the same procedures that the other Sobeys do and it's a little confusing. I used to go here a lot but I changed my stores due to this. Dealing with different managers wasn't worth the hassle as they didn't know me. I get people aren't always honest with their coupons so I don't stress too much about it, I just go to a store where all the managers know and trust me!

Overall, an ok Sobeys. Friendly staff and clean. Decently stocked. My main issue is their produce section. This has only been a recent issue with the last couple of visits, but it seems their produce manager is asleep at the wheel. Rotting fruit that's not even marked down on the aisles, and last week, I bought sprouts (I was in a real hurry, so I wasn't paying much attention), that were already expired. It was hard to tell in the package, but when I brought them home, I then noticed the expiry date was same-day, and I paid full price for them. Standard produce (like apples, oranges, bananas, etc.) seem to be fine, but beware any exotic or less in-demand produce - it's not fresh at all and you will still be paying full-tilt! :-(

Got to witness a young man without a mask on loudly verbally harrass an elderly man in the produce section. Employees watched and did nothing. After even confronting the employees about the situation and the fact they did nothing, they said they aren't able to do anything despite their constant loudspeaker announcements that all customers must wear a mask. I don't think I'll be going back to this Sobeys and possibly others after this experience. If people don't want to wear a mask, there's always online ordering and pickup through their service Voila. There is no excuse for this incident.

This Sobeys is decent. Not as good as the 24 Hour Sobeys on Tacoma but still has lots of selection. The NSLC is conveniently located next door. I wish their produce section had more selection. The staff is always really nice and the cashiers are usually quick.

Regularly see a few addicts looking through vehicle windows throughout the parking area looking for goods to steal. I am a senior & feel very uncomfortable in the parking lot. Also usually a few homeless, aggressively begging at the parking entrance. Changing store because it feels very unsafe there.

sobeys wyse rd. is a very nicely kept and clean store . the layout needs a little help but all in all i enjoy shopping there . if i got questions there's always someone that can answer for the store. on the down side some of the cashiers need some help in the greeting department . someone forgot to tell a few of them if your having problems outsdie the store leave them there . DON'T BRING YOUR PROBLEMS TO WORK. IT not only looks bad on you but it will also give people the impression there's issues in the store . get it together youngsters we're all watching

It's a good Sobeys, usually good quality produce and good in store deals. Pricing is a bit higher than no frills most of the time, but they are close enough to visit both to get the best deals. I wish it had a proper garden centre in summer though. Some of the covid arrows can be confusing, but they do their best to ensure safety.

This was a busy night and all the stores ran out of products due to the Hurricane that is on the way to hitting us. No water no bread and no batteries. However this was not their fault. The entire city is short.This is a nice store. Only complaints is they DO NOT HAVE A CUSTOMER SERVICE desk. So no one to go to ask questions. Cashier does her best. However they are not aware of stock and answers to a wide range of interest from the clients.

Went to buy some groceries today, with my baby in the stroller. Was extremely frustrated to find that they have removed all hand baskets from the store. Could not buy my groceries. Good thing there's another grocery store down the street. I will not be shopping here anymore. Extremely short sighted of management. What about single moms with babies and people in wheelchairs? Those with wheels beware- do not shop here. Edit - this appears to be all Sobeys in the area, not sure how widespread this new policy is. More reasons to shop somewhere cheaper

Newly renovated/opened Sobeys in Dartmouth. In a great location, with an NSLC attached. The store is very clean, well organized and modern. A large selection of whatever you might need, a standard Sobeys. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Parking is fine, but getting in and out of the store on Wyse road can be tough during peak hours.

I was just at Wyse Rd Sobeys, where I normally shop. On the weekend I have a routine of taking my boys over for strips and taters from the deli. Today I get there and two workers are doing other work and I am told I am going to have to wait while they package up food for the deli display. I was a bit frustrated at this wasn't something that was going to be short, and that a customer would be told to wait as opposed to serving us and going back to your work.. as a former employee I understand the process. But then a 3rd person showed up and stepped in and apologized and immediately served me and explained these were both new trainees. I completely understood and was grateful for the service. When I got home I even had an extra piece of chicken in each box. Great customer service goes a very long way and I felt I needed to share this as I am always very happy with the service at this store that I've been going to literally since day one of its grand opening.

Great new convenience store in a new building. It has a self-serve Shell gas bar and a nice selection of in-store products. It is co-located with an NSLC Express, as well a Tim Horton’s, and an A&W, both with a drive thru. Located on the corner of Wright Ave and Wilkinson Ave in Dartmouth Crossing.

I shop here at least 3 times a week for my family. Usually the experience is great. But in the last few months I am constantly followed by their floor walker/ secret shopper. Its very disappointing that he has seen me weekly come in, shop, and PAY for my items. He sticks out like a sore thumb with his no frills basket...at sobeys. You're not showing anyone bud. I assure you, I'm not stealing but am constantly harassed as if I am. I know he's just doing his job but if he was good at it, I wouldn't even know who he is. Hopefully its just me and he doesn't do this to other people. Other than that the store is great

The prices are higher that other grocery stores; however, it is worth it as Sobeys has great, fresh produce and high-end bakery selections. Sobey's customer service is really good. It is really nice that they are giving productive roles to people that have disabilities as well.

Overall the Sobeys itself is ok, but 'Julianne', who works as a cashier, has not been anything but ignorant, rude and short with me and any other customers I've seen her interact with. Miserable human being, always makes my day a little worse when I go to get groceries and I happen to be at her cash. I now try to actively avoid her. Hire someone friendlier.

I always find sobeys a bit expensive, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Along with good customer service, I definitely recommend this as your local grocery store.

Bakery people are way too rude ! I hope Sobeys has some code of conduct and regular coaching for associates who don’t know how to treat customers . She doesn’t know how to do her job and write on cake is a big task fr her which she is not trained for. Hopefully this will be taken care of

900g cheese whiz almost 8 bucks hungry man frozen dinners over 5 bucks . Cheese whiz at Walmart just over 4 bucks hungry man frozen dinners at Walmart 2.97 each . Why the heck is it that much Moor ?? I walked out! Would rather keep more of my hand earned money in my pocket and shop at a place that treats thair customers fairly . just my opinion .

produce is constantly overripe or near expiry. This sobeys never carries fresh produce. Even if it seems okay at first it will expire in just a day or two. costco produce is much better.

Very well laid out. Produce is extremely fresh. There was not anything cluttering the aisles. Staff are friendly, no lines at the cashiers. But make sure you tell them at the register that you would like to use your airmiles. And unfortunately, I had to bag my own groceries, even though i had my recyclable bags ready for her. If I wanted to pack my own stuff, I would have used the self-checkout. Also, this Sobeys is definitely not pedestrian friendly , be very careful walking. Though, as I was leaving, the cart attendant thanked me for putting my cart back in the right place. I love Sobeys but so much more expensive than the other grocery stores.
