Best Sobeys in the city in my opinion. It is a spacious and large store with a clean and modern design. Has a larger selection than other sobeys too I find. Also has both regular and self checkouts which is nice. Only complaint would be trying to get in and out of the area is a nightmare but that's more a complaint about traffic in the area rather than the store.

I've enjoyed shopping for grocery items at Sobey's Tacoma for my whole life in Woodlawn which has been my entire life. The Sterling Silver brand of beef products is unrivalled by any competitor. The runner up would be Gateway Meat Market because their prices are better. If you want to show your dinner guests a thing or two about taste then you'll choose Sterling Silver. The local lamb from Cumberland county is also the head of the class. I know people that like Costco Lamb from New Zealand...it doesn't hold a candle to Cumberland lamb. Cumberland lamb is milder and juicier. I often times find my choice of actual grocery, shelved items on sale but I'm not generally that picky about choosing an alternate when it comes to processed food. Staff is friendly and helpful, always. It's just too bad we can't see their smiles while we're wearing masks over 2020/2021.

I don't shop at this Sobeys often but when im in the area I do. Great size especially since everytime ive been there it was packed or semi. Good customer service by most. The only down fall I have is that almost each time im there the ladies bathroom has a not on the door saying out of service when it really isnt out of service. If it is then it needs to actually be fixed and not closed off each time. There is great parking and close to other shops if what your looking for isnt in the store

Staff are grouchy and poorly trained, the layout is all over the place, spill clean ups are slow, as is restocking. It’s not the worst but the whole place just feels understaffed, underpaid and completely disorganized. The prices are quite high for a grocery store also. You can get similar service for 30-40% less money by driving 5 minutes up the road to Walmart in Dartmouth crossing, which has a better stocked fresh produce section. The one section that does well in this store is the premade food section, whoever is running that show should be praised. Salads and sushi are fresh, and everything in that area is stocked and clean, consistently. The rest of the store should take notes.

My sister in law and I stopped in Sobeys this morning for breakfast items. When we saw the watermelon on sale we just had to have one. But put of the hundreds of watermelons there how do you choose the best one.? Then we saw Donnie (Store employee) walking up with a Giant box of Watermelon. When I asked Donnies opinion on how to pick the best tasting watermelon he handed me the ugliest watermelon he had and said this was the winner. I question Donnie. There were a lot of beautiful looking watermelon. And he couldn't have found a more yellow looking fruit. But I should trust the man who was seemingly in charge of the watermelon. He offered to cut it in half a wrap it so we can see. We declined and decided Donnie was the pro we should trust him. Well DONNIE WAS RIGHT. This is probably the sweetest juiciest watermelon Ive had in a long time. Thank you Donnie for your professional advice and in the future I will remember to never judge the book by it's cover. I told Donnie I was leaving a review please pass along the job well done!!!

On two occasions, Sobeys has advertised in their weekly flier a product (fresh Atlantic salmon fillets stuffed with cold water shrimp and cheese) that hasn't been available at our local Sobeys (Tacoma Centre Dartmouth NS) - the first excuse was they couldn't get the cheese and the next time, the excuse was they couldn't get the shrimp. My message to them is to stop disappointing their customers.

I stopped here on my way home from work because this is a conveniently located 24hour location. It was approximately 11 pm and the self serve checkouts were shut off and there was a single cashier open. The line extended well past the checkouts and down into the deli isle. Needless to say corporations should be more concerned with the customer experience and less with cutting corners to save money.

I think that for every $421. I'm grocery today and got just 1 game card I think if you are spending that you should get more than I game piece my teller was very nice I found everything I was looking for they only thing up set me was just getting one game piece

Had wonderful service from the guy checking us out. But no decent details. Asked if they would price match a bag of toilet paper that they wanted DOUBLE the amount I could get it somewhere else. They advised no sorry dont do price match. That's fine. So I keep my flipp app open though the store so I can insure I'm not spending double or triple the amount I could get it else where. Come to find out alot of what I needed was double the price. I will be avoiding this sobeys from not on. Sad this use to be my favourite store !
