Very convenient, but easily one of the most expensive grocery stores in the area. No Frills in Spryfield is cheaper. The Sobeys in Spryfield is cheaper. The Atlantic Superstore on Joe Howe is cheaper. IOW, don't waste your time; go somewhere else.

My go to sobeys due to bring located beside walmart. This is convenient for non car users since you can shop at both with only 1 taxi. Store is generally great, but a bit smaller than other sobeys. They have great samples Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, around supper time... great way to try out new things and find something you like. Doesn't hurt to have a nice snack on the often given treat or two too! (Just be respectful and take only 1 of each though of course). Staff are mostly all helpful and nice. Might be a little smaller than others but I can't help but recommend this Sobeys.

Although conveniently located, this just is not a good sobeys. I find it doesn't offer a large selection and it often runs out of a lot of products. As well, it doesn't have self checkouts and the cashier's they do have tend to be a bit slow.

Very busy Sobeys, probably the busiest one I've been to in the HRM. Plus the traffic around there is always knotted up and it can be a pain to get to. On the plus side, they keep themselves well stocked Nd the staff is friendly. Also if you frequently use the Halifax transit system, then this location could be ideal for you because it's situated near a transit hub.

I've been shopping at this Sobeys outlet for more years than I have got fingers and toes. I think that it is a darned shame that they've installed self-checkouts. I know a lot of you folks like this idea - but all I can see are more entry level jobs being removed. I had been greatly cheered by the fact that Sobeys had been one of the grocery outlets that HADN'T followed this trend. I like dealing with real people rather than machines. I haven't used one of these rigs yet, not in any store that I go to. Sure, someday I might have to, but I'm not in a hurry to get there.

They sell food and have good variety. Their prices are inflated and their staff sirly and entitled. There's nothing about shopping at Sobeys that makes you feel good. If you need a one stop shop, they work. If you want personal, custom, homemade, or special... Go somewhere else. This is a big corporation run by greedy people who don't care about the community other than as a check box on a balance sheet.

Shop here somewhat regularly and get consistently good food for favorable prices. However the reason I'm writing the review is I went to get meat so that I could make some beef jerky. The butcher behind the counter was extremely friendly and well informed. He also went the extra mile to shave off some of the excess fat (fat being something that needs to be trimmed off for jerky) and asked if he could slice it for me. He was kind enough to weigh the meat before, shave off the fat to get closer to the amount I had specified beforehand, and then only billed me for the meat after he shaved off the excess. Great service overall, I'll be shopping there more often

Extremely awful experience, went their a few days back was in self checkout scanning my items and there was cashier lane in front , and in there was black woman getting her order scanned and she was trying to use a coupon which didn't seem to work and was trying to look for a coupon in her phone while she was doing this white manager came and brought those "security guards which are at the door " who was white too and got him standing next to the lady like spying on or like if she has not got enough money, seemed like she was ready to kick her out. Please don't visit the store

There's one cashier I avoid, mostly because she throws everything Willy nilly into my bags, regardless of what's heavy, breakable or soft and can be squished. She's usually complaining, also. But since she's literally one person and the rest of my experience with this sobeys is positive, it's still a 5 star. I find everyone pretty helpful, love that the butcher remembers what I order from visit to visit and is sure to ask how it turned out. A few times my air miles haven't gone through on my receipt, and customer service takes care of it quickly and efficiently. Even the cart guys are friendly, if course this could be because I don't leave my cart in the middle of the entrance since I'm not too lazy to walk the other 5 or 10 feet to put it back where I got it from.

This is a typical Sobey's with all the essentials, but none of the nicer products that some of the Sobey;s fancier neighborhoods have; consistently lacking a selection of good bread like baguettes, chabatta, etc. Also the baskets they provide for putting your stuff in are really dirty, and they don't pick out the garbage out of them before stacking them back up at the door for you, kind of disgusting really..

This Sobeys has been understaffed for a year. They closed the customer service desk until 9am with one cashier open. Ridiculous for a Sobeys around so many businesses. The produce is non existent and their ready made wraps and salads are made with old produce but marked fresh. The cashier in the morning who has been there since 1988 is rude and made a hurtful comment towards my partner not buying my items and told me to leave him. I wish I had better things to say.

The prices are probably some of the higher from the various grocery chains around Halifax. However the fresh fruit ad vegetables are usually the best outing the chains as well. Also no need to worry about 0arking. a good sized parking lot, proximity to the bank of you are with BMO and other stores make it one of the better places grocery stores in town
