Sobeys is the 2nd worst grocery store to go to for realz. The layout doesn't make sense it's dark and feels like the lobby of an old folks home. and the prices are whacked out. 4 bucks for a bag of Tostitos? Give me a break. Superstore is 3 bucks max and Dollarama around the corner sells them for 2.50. I guess it's good if you don't mind tossing away your cash or being confused about where the salsa is. Save yourself and go to superstore.

Everything at this store is good, only bad experience was a few days ago when I bought their day old Boston Cream donuts for 2.99$ for 4, and they were not as soft or as moist as I was hoping for when I bit into it.

I always choose Sobey for the clean stone, I can't buy my Families food from somewhere that doesn't look or smell very clean!! I do however find this location you have some of the employees that are just pain rude or don't really care to be there, there is way to many times I have had items broke from being pack with other things they shouldn't be with. I really did think all Sobey's were the same until I stopped in at one in Bedford and it was terrible! Ours in Lower Sackville (this location) definitely has friendlier staff, and it's very clear that the team here takes pride in keeping the store clean, tidy and accessible. Produce is always great quality, and the bakery often has a lot of stock of a variety of items. Im a baker and their red velvet cupcake is my favourite!! My only recommendation for this store is that the hot food bar is often really low on food choices and I wish there was a wider variety of hot, ready to go, or take home and cook options like some of the larger stores.

I cannot stress enough how poor the produce at Sobeys is. Anytime I buy 'fresh' produce, it seems the next day I'm throwing it out because it goes bad overnight. I never have this issue with SuperStore, and they will be getting my business now. Dec 2018 update: Thought i would give Spbeys a try again. Bought some berries in the evening and by morning they were moldy. I cannot stress enough that their produce quality is atrocious.

Being english visting sobeys while i was in lower sackville remined me of a uk store called morrisons. Prices in sobeys were good espically the afterbite cream i needed after visiting windsor ns and being bitten by mosquitoes my friends were less covered than me yet the mosquitoes thought u was lunch. This is one of the best Sobeys stores. I was shopping there when it was a smaller store.The staff are really helpful. I'm saying this because my sister has worked for the store for over 20 years. The store is always clean which helps when you are in a wheelchair. The aisles are clear enough to get around and staff always very helpful with my needs. ????

Was wondering why garbage containers were removed from all sobeys properties on sackville drive went to a few stores didn't want to throw litter in parking lot but was really annoyed to see garbage blowing around and had to carry my garbage around when I asked at the stores they said the garbage cans were taken away ! Sobeys push using reusable bags, making people pay for paper ones and then self servingly brag about putting half the cost which notably is all paid by their customers into planting trees. Now they still use the reusable bags when they said they would not be during Covid 19. They also said customers would not pay for the paper bags during the pandemic and that is not true either. I seen both these things happen on Friday so there is dangerous use of reusable bags plus grabbing extra money taken from customers. Honesty does not appear to be something demonstrated by Sobeys when it comes to actually practicing what they say.

Friendly and helpful staff, plenty of selection (fresh fruits and produce, to-go food, pantry staples, packaged food, etc.), and very clean customer restrooms. There's ample parking outside in the plaza and strong COVID protocols in place (gel and disinfecting wipes at the door). All in all, a convenient and great grocery store in Lower Sackville!

I had just returned from getting groceries at Sobeys and noticed an error on my receipt that resulted in my bill being just over $30 more then it should have been. I had used the self scan and had entered a produce number wrong. I returned to the store and the employee I dealt with was extremely pleasant and quickly refunded my overpayment. The store lighting was terrible, felt light I should be in an old dingy nightclub... the prices were reasonable considering the Coronavirus situation. Produce was fairly fresh so no complaints there! Did seldom check out which was nice but no plastic bags.. bought two brown bags that ripped apart before I made it to the house... broke half of my eggs.. this is why you get only 3. I'm great for saving the environment to, but pay your hydro and let us decide what types of bags we wish to use!
