REVIEWS OF Purolator Courier IN Northwest Territories

That Guy

Forcing people to drive out to Kam Lake after not even attempting to do a delivery is brutal business. Especially when Purolator is supposed to be a premium courier service, at a premium price point. Maybe if they get enough one star reviews they will reflect on the way they do business.

terrible, staff doesn't seem to know what they are doing, I went in the other day and the guy was sitting there watching videos on Facebook and kept watching and doesn't do anything to help. Sure he was nice enough, but more than a little useless. I asked for something to be held for pickup at the location, and he writes down on a post-it note in such a way that nobody in their right mind could read it, I write to Purolator's customer service via their chat service this morning, and am again told it will be held for pick up, what happens? it goes out for delivery. Purolator is stupid, and should be avoided. They also have stupid hours, and nobody answers the phone.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Basically said, it isn't my problem you don't have a car to come pick up the package we made no effort to deliver.

I had a package shipped to my office, which was occupied all day 8:30am-7pm, and I still didn't receive my package. They said attempted delivery but the office was empty (I can assure you it was not). The only explanation I can think of is they went to the office next door which is vacant... but that is still a weak excuse since the name for my office and the logo are very visible in the hallway and only a few feet away. If you are going to go through the trouble of saying you attempted delivery, at least make it believable.

I had a similar experience as katie

Their pick up hours are annoying.

I do my best to avoid purolator in Yellowknife. I live in a house and I watch the van pull up, the person jumped out notice in hand and stick it to the door. I was shouting out to him and he drove anyway.

The business lies about their attempt to deliver and when they are called on it don’t follow through. Lousy customer service.

Do not use these people, needed a package sent quickly and paid $82 and they completely failed and sent it ground delivery instead. I should have listened to others on here. They also will not provide refund as they've "suspended all guarantees". Go with Canada Post, these guys are a trainwreck.

On Tuesday I found a package notice stuck to the front window of the apartment building saying Purolator came by Monday at 12:30pm to drop off a package. I had no phone message saying they tried to reach me, so they came to the apartment, stuck up the notice and left. The notice said to pick up said package at Purolator between 2-6pm Monday-Friday and it would be held for 5 days (Canada Post holds for 2 weeks I believe). Wednesday after work, I got a taxi to and from Purolator (total cost $34) which is out in the industrial area tucked away. My package was in acceptable condition and was obtained quick and easy with the notice and my ID. The woman at the front desk was very nice and offered delivery to my work address in the future if I call them and let them know (she and the package being in good condition are the only reasons I'm giving a 2-star instead of a 1-star review). This will likely add on a couple days delay on delivery she said, but in my opinion, it's better than paying $34 taxi + ~$30 shipping for a total of $60-70 shipping on a $60 product and spending 1 hour to pick up the package. When the work-delivery thing happens in the future, I will review again about how it worked. Overall- this company delivers during work hours when few people are home, does not seem to even try to contact you when they deliver (as evidenced by a lack of a missed call/call record on my cellphone), and is non-accessible by those without their own vehicles without paying out the nose for a taxi. IF you have a vehicle, it's more of just an annoyance rather than the expensive and time consuming process I had. Only positive: package wasn't damaged and the woman at the front desk was nice, prompt, and let me wait inside in the warmth for my taxi.

Terrible hours 2-6pm pick-up Monday to Friday

I had a number of packages shipped though Purilator in each case they claim they attempted to deliver to package odd that I have never recieved a notice yet, even when I have re routed the package shipping to where I work they claim no one is there even though it's staffed all day

Zackary Podzorski

Attempted delivery with no notice left

Shadows Listen

I didn't even get a call and they stuck a notice on my door very annoyed I don't have a car so not impressed.

The hours of operation are very limited 2-6 pm Mon-Friday and they are out of the way in the industrial park which makes it a challenge for anyone who doesn't have a vehicle. Their attempts at delivery are not the best as they don't call the numbers given to them nor do they come to the apartments. Finally, they don't have a debit machine. Obviously, they have a captive market here or they wouldn't be in business.

I try to avoid using Purolator as much as possible. The pickup office is way outside town on Kam Lake and they have very uneasy business hours. They don’t seem to bother with apartment building and simply leave a delivery card at the door. Many time I found this card at the door and I know I was home at the time of the delivery.
