I am a physician that has worked along side this pharmacy for the past 4 years and have the utmost respect for their team. I also am aware of the sensationalism that has surrounded this recent news article by a misinformed reporter. Due to the opportunistic media headlines, the persons who believe it and thus writing a poor review, a grassroots small business has been affected. Please think twice before reviewing a business you have never had the pleasure of visiting. Speak to the thousands of local patients and hundreds of physicians that use their service before passing judgement.

Diverting Covid vaccines during a pandemic is not a good look. Nor is setting up a pop up clinic in a private country club in West Vancouver (outside of Fraser Health). Why if you didn't have the proper facilities give the vaccine to another pharmacy in New Westminster that could service the local population. Vaccines should be alloted to health regions and their communities based on population/risk factors especially as the supply chain is unpredictable. Not at the whim of a pharmacist, which goes against the AZ roll out. Fraser Health is the hardest hit health region.

Has anyone reported the pharmacy and/or pharmacists to their College? This is completely unacceptable. The pharmacist said he did this "because his clinic lacks the space necessary to properly distance people after they have received the vaccine and are under observation." If that's the case, then the pharmacy should not have signed up to administer vaccines in their clinic in the first place. The pharmacist also stated this was due to having extra vaccines left-over but on their website, it said there would be no further vaccination appointment bookings as there were no supply left. These discrepancies are confusing and seem suspicious. I hope the College of Pharmacists are looking into this.

A New West pharmacy intended to serve New West residents and the surrounding community reaches out to a private country club in West Van to offer vaccines to its members...and then posts on their website prior to the planned event that they are out of vaccines for the general public. As a New West resident, I feel like you’ve done us a real dirty... Instead of claiming “lack of space” to physically distance inside the pharmacy, it would be better to take accountability that there was a lapse in judgement here.

I can't express enough the efforts and length Indigo made when the compound facility out east had unexpected lengthy delays in formulating my medication. Indigo took the time to listen to my concerns and understood the issue at hand. They then took the initiative to contact my allergist to help build a contingency plan for me. The pharmacist then called the compound facility to negotiate compensation for the unexpected lengthy delay, of which they were successful at getting. Other larger/major pharmacies would never had gone to these lengths. Indigo kept me apprised of the situation over the weeks before the arrival of the medication. Thank you very much for helping with mitigating the situation which could have been much more stressful.
