I bought a over the counter baby teething medication for my daughter and for like a week and an half never used it so I decided to bring it back for a refund, When I got to the store I was told by the cashier that she need to ask the owner of the pharmacist permission for that so I was ok with that. She came back telling me that after 48 hours pharmacy stores are not allow to take back sealed in their package over the counter drugs which I found weird cause it wasn’t written anywhere in the receipt I asked if that is a policy for all pharmacies or something she said yes but they don’t write it on the receipt. So, I left the place and went to another Familiprix on Boulevard Provencher and ask one of their staff about that policy I was told that there is no such thing. I understand that as an independent pharmacy you are not required to have a return and/or refund policy. If, however, they do have such a policy it must be clearly written on the receipt. They try to act if I was dumb to believed that for a second. You probably thought you are so smart to come up with something that absurd.

Thank you for taking your time to explain and I do understand your point regarding the safety of over the counter medecine. In fact, I worked for a well-known pharmaceutical company for years and it's known for a fact that pharmaceutical medication are stored for years before releasing it for distribution to insure safety and quality of the product as part of Canada (GMP) guidelines. The only problem I had is the way the cashier was explaining the so called 48 hours policy to us and at the same time couldn't explain clearly the matter as I explain before it was not written in the receipt she was clearly avoiding further questions that I had about your 48 hours policy as to get rid of me as soon as possible and from your previous reply you said that there is a sign behind the cashier that states your 48 hours policy, I don't know if it's a good idea to have that sign in that location if you want to let people know of your 48 hours policy as I didn’t noticed and neither your cashier cause she clearly didn’t know as to go ask first when I was there. If the sign was visible to everyone I wouldn’t have bother to show up.
