They have good sales and good prices, also helpful if you have a PC Optimum card to get the points for discounts. Good grocery store, with all your basic food needs. I just think they could expand the line for checkouts. There should be a line for self-checkout and one for regular cashier checkout. Rather than waiting in a long line when you are making a quick visit to the store and purchasing just a handful of products. And sometimes there is limited staff whether at the checkouts or throughout the store (maybe bc of covid). They could really improve on these things. But all in all always a nice trip to make and I get everything I need.

If you are a professional shopper you find you have to visit four or maybe more stores to find the best of whatever you need at the time. For instance, you might have to go several kilometers for a food store with a bakery and another for the best produce and yet another for meats. No frills specializes in no name yellow label foods and lower prices for the average food shopping order. Many say they will not be over under sold but if you are the shopper in the family you know the most expensive stores like Superstore, Safeways or Save on have the same items for a much higher price than Nofrills! I spend 70% of my food dollar here. I find there are plenty or at least exactly the right number of Frills! Parking is within 5 m of the door. During the pandemic they have always been open and they have not had a breakout among the staff. Being at risk, I always check by asking around. They also have points and a gas station at the West side store which has the least expensive gas in town including Costco after your points have been applied. At the North side store you will find an amazing liquor store not associated with Nofrills that will save you another 20% on booze! Pretty hard to beat!

I moved here from Ontario and the No frills here is way more expensive for every. The prices here in the other grocery stores are very similar and particularly Walmart is cheaper for produce and meat than No frills. It's not a bargain store for groceries over here in Lethbridge or maybe all of Alberta, not sure if the prices are same all through the province. E.g. price of the rice we usually bought in ON was $7-8, here it's over almost $14, onions paid less than $2, here almost 4. This is what the price difference is on everything pretty much. Very significant hike.

This is a big store with lots of selection - but if you frequent no frills you know the drill. Not a ton of choice on produce and less attractive vegetables, as well as a restricted range of upper-tier products and luxury items. As No Frills locations go, this is a nice one. I can't be the only person that thinks the Crossings No Frills is more of a curse than a blessing. It's so close to my house that drive across the west side/across the hill just to avoid there terrible staff and lack of visa acceptance feels silly. However, 7 out of 10 times they don't even have what I'm looking for. I can honestly say I've never left No Frills feeling remotely accomplished.

Let me start by saying that is refreshing to have another location on the West Side of Lethbridge to buy food besides Safeway and Save-On. For the majority of my post-secondary career, I lived near Paradise Canyon area and it made it very difficult to get groceries. One thing I have to applaud the City of Lethbridge on is the fact that they've designed a Bus Route that can drop you off and pick you up near this location. Even if you don't drive, you can take Route 35 (Bus Line) from the University Bus Loop to pick up groceries from No Frills. No Frills offers a ton of selection of everything. I will say that the price is higher than Costco or Wal-mart, but you can save money for if you sign up for their PC Plus card (which will be combining with Shoppers Optimum later this year). Final Note: It's disappointing to hear that Loblaw's (the parent company of No Frills) was recently discovered in a Price Fixing scheme on Bread. I'm not joking, Google it. Honestly, that's the lamest corporate crime I've ever heard of (which might be why it went under the radar for 14 years). If you have a major issue with this, I recommend that you go to the Loblaw's website and register for a free $25 gift card from January 8th - May 8th. You can use that $25 to buy whatever you want.

I had given this store a 5 star previously, but recent events have caused me to change my review. There is currently a restriction due to COVID where people who come in have to wear a mask. It doesn't matter whether you personally hate the restrictions or support it, but if there are restrictions in place, it is the responsibility of the store to follow them. This store had an employee wearing a mask that did not cover his face and while there, we saw a family of three not masked at all. My wife spoke to the manager asking him to address our concerns. If the employee was unable to wear a mask properly for health reasons, at least have him work in the back. If the entire family was unable to wear a mask for health concerns, have just one of them do the shopping while the rest wait outside. But the manager did not even bother asking the customers to wear a mask, he just said it was fine and to not worry about it. He also said the company policies said that it was fine to leave the employee and customers as is and not talk to them. He then said we could comment about our concerns on their feedback survey, but we would be negatively impacting the business because it was an independently owned store and they depend on positive feedback. He didn't actually care about my family being uncomfortable with their policies, but he did care that we leave a positive survey. I have shopped at Superstore and Shoppers during the pandemic and No Frills seems to be the only one that doesn't care about the comfort of their customers, so I find it hard to believe that the official Loblaw policy regarding the pandemic is "oh well, it's probably fine." So sorry No Frills, if you don't care about following the regulations that I'm forced to follow and if you don't care about my comfort, I don't care to keep shopping here.

I do respect that this place has some of the best prices in town, and that is great. I also know that they make the claim that these prices are due to them having "no frills." I would think that they would be able to hire enough employees that they can take the time to take spoiled food off the shelves. I have found processed meat here that is moldy and months past its best before date. I have also found buckets of dates that have gone mouldy. If you are going to shop here, check the best before dates and make sure there isn't mold. The prices are hard to beat, but make sure you are actually getting good products. The staff are always friendly here and they always take the spoiled food off the shelves quickly when I point it out to them.

I was impressed with the quality of fresh produce. The prices can be impressively low. You do have to pay for your own bags and pack your own groceries. They have the option to us free boxes which can be a nice alternative to bags. You have to pay a dollar for a shopping which can be an unnecessary burden because you need to have change to get a cart and some people use cards to buy things so they don't have much change on them. They mark down some of there items when they get close to their expire date. This is very nice because you save a lot.

Place is great, but have called on many several different occasions and I have literally never talked to anyone over the phone due to no one answering. I live out of town and the last thing I want to do is drive in to find out they don't have the item im looking for in stock forcing me to drive even farther across tow. If you work in customer service, that also means answering the phone. Figure it out

Was horrible!! Have never been told you cannot take cart into self check...go to North side all the time. 2 (two) cashiers on!!! Went into self-serve n was Rudely told you cannot take a cart in!!! Long line up going slow!!! Left our groceries and left our stuff walked out. Also the rude individual got my dollar in cart!!!!!

Some employees are really good, but countless times they do not have what's advertised and tell you to phone later in the week to see if they received it, and when you phone they still haven't and don't know when they will. I don't understand their modus operandi. If at least they gave rainchecks, that would be less frustrating, but we have better things to do than phoning regularly to ask if they received this or that. We now think: if it's on sale, they won't have it. I tried to address this issue with the management and nobody returned my call. It gives me the impression that the management doesn't care about the customers. For that reason, I would give it 1 star out of 5.

Customers are not impressed that your plastic bag sales are more important than the environment. People loved using recyclable boxes for free to carry there groceries. Once plastic is banned are you bringing it back, or are you going to be ahead if the game and start now? Big disappointment.

If you are minority and shop at Nofrils and expect to get the shopping done in leass than half an hour, do not check out at the cashier who is a white, short-black-haired and middle-aged woman, with a pair of dark frame glasses. Sorry if they have a name tag, I will put her name here. I checked out with her assistance twice, one time she overcharge me for an item I did not purchase. And second time today she deliberately make me wait for half a minute to give me my receipt after my debit card payment went through, by chatting with the customer behind me. And she totally ignored me and no greeting while she started to talk to a lady waiting behind me. Such arrogance and rudeness is disgusting to deal with. I hope this tip will help the other people like me so their trip to this store would be better. Thanks

Some things are a good deal some things are not like fresh meat. It does have a lot of ethinic items at the cost of other canadian staples so just beaware. The parking is nice. The store is clean and shelves tidy. Its nevery a long wait.

Does not take Visa. Plenty of options in every grocery category. Bring your own bag or box for groceries or use one of the cardboard boxes they offer you there at checkout. Not always the freshest exotic produce, but always a good, fresh selection of normal fare. Name brand paper towels and toilet tissue are mostly sold in bulk. Good employees. No frills.
