This Safeway is pretty good. They're clean and the produce and bakery are good. Skip the deli lunch items. They're served in Styrofoam and their combo drink options are limited to off brand soda. They also use plastic grocery bags still, so an F on sustainability.

Safeway has a selection park meadow sausage, which is what I went there for. It is delicious and I have only ever been able to find it at farmers market before safeway started carrying it. It is gluten, dairy, and chemical free. So yummy. Thanks Safeway!

Great store, I live on the Southside and usually shop at the Southside Safeway... but this time I was looking for 54 cupcakes with only a few days notice... the south Safeway did not sound confident they could make that many on such short notice, when I called the westside one, she said she would make it happen, so I went out of my way to go to the Westside Safeway because they were willing to get this done for me!!! All cupcakes were ready for me when I got there and they were super good!!!

Safeway is really handling the pandemic with grace. They have a person designated to just say hello and remind customers about the arrows on the floor all the time. There's sanitizer for customers located in the entry/exit for public use, and the staff are friendly. The only thing I would suggest in these times is maybe a way of disinfecting the tills between customers, or even every few customers. I understand however that the cashier would have to do a lot of walking back and fourth to make this all happen, giving that they are behind the till. Maybe an extra employee could visit the tills and wipe everything down when they can? Thanks Safeway for you prompt and friendly service. Keep it up!

It is a good store. The employees are all very friendly and helpful when you can find them. Sometimes it would be nice if you could find an employee walking the isles. Many times I’ll search for an employee and end up going to a till to have them announce for an employee to go to a specific isle. The products are really good quality. They have the best doughnuts in town. All the fruit is always high quality. The flowers are great. The bakery bread is awesome.

Their in-house “Conpliments” brand is usually really good, no complaints there. The donuts and cakes are very good, some I subjectively think are better than Timmies donuts. 11pm??? Stop lying to customers. Different departments close at different times. That's lunacy and idiocracy at its finest. Maybe if you would have been honest about your hours from the start, Sobeys wouldnt have had to step in and bail out your stupid stores. 11pm is 11pm. Not 630 for this department and 8pm for that department. 11pm!!! Get your act together, understand that cleaning takes time AFTER you close, and additional wages must be paid for that or, schedule staff so that there are people to clean AFTER you close. Wont be back to this sad excuse for a grocer ever again.

We received an excellent service from Cecile this morning. After she had scanned all our groceries, we could not find our wallet. She offered to put them aside and keep them fresh until we came back to the store. We eventually found our wallet, but she remained calm and cheerful while we were looking for it. Just had a run in with a very rude cashier today. My fiancee went up to the till today and started unloading our groceries when the lady told her to unload from the back of the conveyor. We completely understand this situation and did as she asked. After this she was spouting off about social distancing, even though she is completely covered by a protecting wall. She continued to throw our bag groceries to the end of the till. After I paid up and told her to have a good day, nothing was said.i understand the times we are in but this attitude is unacceptable. The sign on your door reads sonething like "if you can't keep a good attitude then you will be asked to leave".you should do the same to your employees...

There were unmasked people (customers) in the Safeway with no masks handing produce and other unpackaged foods. I asked an employee why they are allowed to be in the store, and there answer was that they were instructed to allow it. When Safeway allows unmasked customers to openly cough, sneeze, breathe etc on people’s food, i definitely see a problem with this. Why Safeway doesn’t enforce these mandatory restrictions setout to protect our health is ridiculous.
