It's quite tidy inside, there's a notable selection of cruelty free products and items produced in Canada. The pharmacy is usually very busy, once spent over 50 minutes waiting for a prescription, when I was told 25, the lady was pretty crabby but I assume it was just because they were stressed. I often find nearly rotten onions, sad cauliflower and bruised fruit. The only other issue is the que, since the store traffic is now laid out with directional arrows, the ends where the aisles are close to the tills are virtually impassable. Quite often other patrons couldn't be bothered to scootch, so you have to go down the wrong way lol.

This Safeway in convenient for the location of the household but being Indigenous I always feel judged and the people at the self checkout make it a point to not say goodbye, this is why I prefer to use the self check out to keep away from the negative energy. Way to make your Indigenous customers feel like they don't matter.

I'm a long time Safeway shopper so the stakj know me Today, in the meat department, I was given advice on what to BBQ and the best price. You still get your bags packed which is worth the extra you pay. Why did you stop charging for shopping carts? I did my own survey and people are so cheap they would take the cart back for 25c: now it's free and the carts are all over the place. But staff and produce is usually great. Thanks Safeway.

Avoid if you have asthma or allergies. Cleaner they are using is turpenoid based and an irritant. Before this whole pandemic thing, we stopped buying produce or meat due to continued reactions. They even stopped carrying egg-free pasta, so I have to travel halfway across the city to get safe pasta. If they didn't stock the one known safe brand of tinned tomatoes, we wouldn't shop there at all.

Ever since Soby's took over it has gone downhill. Fewer selections, some items discontinued, and sheer numbers of items reduced. Produce is hit and miss as far as freshness and availability. Will be shopping elsewhere .

gas bar is a pain, they points, rewards, or discount program they use has changed about 6 times since this store opened. currently, you have to have your receipt from buying groceries to get a fuel discount. As it is, you need to stand outside at the pump typing in what seems like a 20 digit number to get 5 cents a litre off. It is stupid.

Produce section always looks very sad to me; I think it's mostly poor lighting, but lots of their produce is limp or past its peak. Barely any organics (except their own Safeway brand organics, which is not on par with my expectations) and the aisles feel cramped. Only go here when I have to.

Never get any friendly smile or a need to say hello to you. We're not racist but, seems like lots of people in that store are. They always say hello to other people who seems to be more like them and they make us feel we're different and not appreciated. Besides, never get helped at the Western Union money transfer stating that they are busy with customers. Are WE NOT??? Always get sent to another place for Western Union. They should close it then. Products and price are good though cause they can't judge us by our colors.

The store is bright, and usually tidy. When they have sales, their prices can be OK, but I generally find them a little on the expensive side (though not always). Plenty of free parking is available, the shopping carts are also free, AND the Safeway liquor store is right across the street. ;-)

Terrible service. Spent over $20.00 on fresh flowers and was denied flower food by 2 different employees. Was told that "if it didn't come already attached to the flowers than those particular flowers didn't need it" . All cut flowers need it. It's a preservative for the water! I am unlikely to go shopping there for flowers again.

Selection was fine, but experience was ruined by the checkout experience. Those dots to stand on for social distancing — apparently you’re not to use them! At least at the checkout we went too. Both the cashier and the previous customer freaked out when we did, even when she’d paid and packed. Sent to stand in an aisle 3 times, while other lineups used those dots, and customers kept taking our spot. We were told to wait till she called us up, but the cashiers weren’t doing that anywhere. We were ready to walk out when the cashier was replaced, and wondered why we hadn’t stepped up. Will be a long time before we come back, if ever.

Safeway is a very safe and easy store to shop in with a wide variety of different products to choose from especially if your health concious or have any dietary needs there more than happy to help you with that all I can say is I have been a customer of there's for 20 years and I will continue to be a customer of there's for many more years.

My go to grocery store for most things. Selections are fairly good. Prices are average. Establishment is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. If I was to suggest any improvements I would recommend starting with the parking lot as it's terrible to push a cart on.

This is a good grocery store to buy your food. Some foods are well priced, while others are just ridiculous. The cashiers are always very kind and polite. One of the cashiers bagged my groceries like an professional. He got a whole basket of groceries into one of those reusable bags. I was impressed.

The staff are very helpful and courteous. I am amazed at how helpful and nice the staff is in this store. The cashiers attend to your needs, NEVER talk over you like you don't exist and apologise if they need to discuss an issue with another cashier or clear the aisle of carts. Very impressed with their professionalism and respect for the customer. I never give 5 out of 5 because I believe there is always room for improvement, but here I made an exception. Great job by every staff member I have had to deal with!

This location is clean and usually has what we need. The bakery and meat counter closes pretty early and they often run out of items on sale, especially on the first Tuesday of the month. Some staff have been very helpful and pleasant, but there are a couple of cashiers that are really not. When our air miles coupons don't work (happens often) the cashiers can't fix it on the spot and we end up having to wait at the customer service desk for someone else to come and fix it.

Very disappointed in the prices! Just purchased a condiment there and the price was marked up by $3.00. Went to Superstore here in Lethbridge and couldn’t believe the difference in price. They were both listed at regular price as well. This has happened several times at Safeway. Will be returning it. I can understand a variance in pricing but don’t approve of such an increase. Vivian

The building is dark, something that's shared by a lot of Safeway stores, but this is too dark. It felt like it was closed when I visited, but the staff was friendly and the groceries were mostly great save a pack of steaks that were bad before their sell by date.
