This Pharmacy is classified in the category of Hospital.
Everyone harps on the health sector, but people need to realize that the health sector could be a whole lot worse than it is; we should be happy we have one as good as we do.
All I can do is pray because nobody cares!!!! Just shut up put your mask on and follow the rules. The doctor would not help me because he didn't know me. left a message for patient relations, hope something can be done for our future health care system because this is abuse!!!!! I think maybe some of the staff has mental issues and should be treated before treating our community. in other words “the blind leading the blind” great help guys you should be so proud you are better than everyone ✌️
Repeatatly have to keep coming here, the wait times are ludacris... 3 hours of waiting just to move to another room to wait for 3 hours? Still have not had my medical issue resolved... seems you need to be at deaths doorstep to get looked at here...
Nice And Great Service Staff Thanks
Out of the 5 or 6 times I’ve gone to the ER here, I’ve only had 1-2 decent experiences. The nurses are awful.. I have complaining that I was having trouble breathing and my boyfriend went to go ask a nurse to check on me because no one had talked to me in hours.. and he said “oh, you mean the girl in there who is breathing just fine??” No one had come to check on me in HOURS. After the doctor came in, he determined I was have an allergic reaction to the new medication I was on, and WAS having trouble breathing as a result. An awful place.
Great place to go if you need emergency medical service.
Big Pharma drug death trap .. run by folks that are there for the money. There is another option..take care of your body! You only have one. Prevention is the best form of medicine...something the system does not want us to consider.
I cut my leg open very badly it took 4 hrs before I finally got seen in the emergency and it wasn't very busy in there
It depends on which doctor you get. Usually the night shift nurses are rude. They need to document what you said exactly. Otherwise diagnosis is missed.
Thank you so much for the great care ❤ the nurses and doctors are so caring helpful and friendly. And thank you for letting my husband and my 6 month old stay with me the whole time. Really great hospital ❤????
My son died in ICU due to medical incompetence on Aug 31st, 2018. The Dr in Emergency did not offer proper treatment. He was only 45...my only son.
I just had a baby via c Section and I loved all of my nurses. I felt that I was being cared for so well and I have zero complaints. :)
Very nice staff thank you so much to my nurse Taylor on the 3 rd floor and all staff who helped me after my motorcycle accident. You all are making my recovery a lot easier. Also thank You to dr storey and dr. Page for your fast response and amazing work.
The staff here were very compassionate, kind and professional. I was initially afraid to seek medical attention, but the team that helped me always went out of their way to make me feel comfortable through a tough time. If you feel like something is wrong, please let these amazing people help you!
The bloody wait times r fricking terrible here, ecspecaly the Emergency!! i belive its do to our helth care (Dr Pay) & people abuse (Comin in 4 coughs, drugs, bord)Etc.
You couldn't wish for better docs and nurses here in this hospital!!
If it was possible to give zero stars I would. The only reason that I gave one star is for the fantastic male nurse who was attending to my brother. My brother completely broke his left humerus (upper arm) and by any other hospital's standards he would have gone in for surgery to reset it. He was put in a cast and sent home with Percocet and told to call the orthopaedic surgeon on his own time. Thank God our mom is a paramedic; she will be transporting him to Calgary to get proper care and go in for surgery.
We went in today for pre-op assessment our experience was excellent from everything to registering to medical imaging to the assessment staff, the nurse, the doctors and the lab, not to forget cardio. We were very pleased with how we'll organized the whole procedure is. ????
I had several stays at the hospital over the last 3 years. For a variety of maladies. From a quick emergency room visit to a 3-day stay . I have been in hospitals in other countries. I have been to many hospitals in Canada. That being said the Chinook regional hospital and their staff excelled in all aspects of healthcare. I want to see a special mention to the food. This isn't your daddy's hospital food. The doctors and support staff nurses orderlies were very professional and compassionate. The emergency room is well thought out, comfortable and well-appointed . There's an information screen listing wait times. Everything's computerized it's brilliant. Other provinces could learn a lot from Alberta. I have one negative to make. I had one doctor nurse combo that was less than sympathetic to my situation as I was homeless , in pain , scared, and was met with hostility . I was made to feel like I was just in the hospital so I can have a place to sleep I don't go to the hospital unless I'm injured believe me. Other than that the services I received were exemplary. Keep in mind we are full throttle into an opiate crisis this hospital does not only serve Lethbridge but all of the surrounding communities. I've seen Lethbridge EMTs desperately trying to revive someone who's just overdosed on drugs right there on the sidewalk. I've seen people refuse service angrily even though they were injured. and a personal story I had a bicycle accident and I was severely injured and EMTs who showed up put my bike and me in the ambulance and brought it and me to the hospital . I have no way of securing my bike so the EMT went to the store and bought me a lock so I can lock my bike. I'm sorry but that is way Beyond job description and an incredible to see such dedication to the art of service to humanity.
Terrible hospital. Nursing staff in the OR were rude and insulting to my condition. The surgeon Dr. Lavins was very late for my operation and totally botched the whole thing. Failed to treart my condition and made it much worse with his poor skills. Ive been left in chronic pain and have spent a small fortune at this point trying to find relief from the pain that man has left me in. Worst experience of my life.
At labour and delivery area nurses don’t know anything. My sister was in labour for 8hrs asked to push until babys heart rate went down. Had to to emergency c-section.They have a 0 skills. They are the meanest nurses in the whole world, talks behind your back, eye roll and mostly they are there only for money. They don’t have any humility. They sit at nursing area talking and when you ask something looks each others face. Rudeeeeeee!
5 star service! In an out within an hour with 5 tests, to go meds, and a prescription in hand! You Albertans don't know what you have!
Had surgery was there 5 days . Nurses were excellent , food you couldn’t choke down . An to top it of got a staff infection there !!!
In response to the person complaining about having to wait when emergency waiting room wasn't busy...Just because there is no one in the waiting room, doesn't mean they aren't busy in the back. I found my care in emergency excellent. I also found my care while in hospital exceptional. The nursing staff were very compassionate. The food... well... it's a hospital for goodness sake, what do you expect??
Save for Covid-19 restrictions but emergency room took over an hour..It could speed up the service a bit
Are hospitals is always so clean and such nice good caring people that work they. They all now there jobs well. We are very lucky to live in Canada. My brother moved to Zambia Africa. You don't want to even know. We need to just all realize how great we have it and be nicer to people that are helping us.
The ICU and 3rd floor nurses were fantastic very friendly and helpful the service was excellent I would like to thank them all
I had two emergency visits over the last few months and was treated promptly and with great care. More recently I was admitted for an urgent hip replacement and I can’t praise the efficiency, friendliness and care enough to say nothing of the quality of the food (very good) and help from the hospitality staff. Keep up the great work
Absolutely awful experience here on multiple occasions, the wait just to see a doctor in emerg is ludacris, expect a 3 hour wait. However I feel as tho the nursing staff has always done well in my eyes treating everyone respectfully. I feel the need to voice my awful time here because nothing changes, every time it's the same wait. FIX SOMETHING WHAT YOUR DOING DOESNT WORK!! CHANGE SOMETHING!
This place improved a lot. Very happy with the changes. The staff seem genuinely helpful. 110%
worst hospital yet. my grandmas been stuck in there for days with poor treatment. she’s not allowed to go to the bathroom more than 1 time in 2 hours even tho she’s connected to IV and forced to drink a lot of water along side. she even …
Needed to confirm they had mailed some paperwork to vital statistics. Nobody knows anything. The only thing they know how to do is transfer you to someone else. Health records really needs to shape up and get a better tracking system in place.
I spent two weeks in there last Nov / Dec. Got nothing but good to say about it. Sure, hospital experiences are never fun, but the doctors and nurses were really good to get along with. About the only bad thing I can say was about the nurse who accidently yanked on the tube going to my catheter. EYOW! Normally the people with bad reviews were asking for it by their actions. Sure the wait times get long sometimes, but a lot of that is the fault of people who come to the ER instead of going to see a doctor.
I was at the Emergency department, for what turned out to be nothing too serious, thankfully. The whole process was very smooth, reasonably quick considering the business at the time, and the staff was very professional from start to finish.
We just had our baby boy on April 20th due to covid restrictions we were worried about daddy being able to come and go they were very well managed, I can't say enough good about the Doctors, nurses and staff at this hospital especially the NICU staff!!!
I went to an emergency ward because my ear was bleeding swollen from inside but but they say you have to wait for 3 1/2 hours for check up
I have had many visits in the last year for a few different things and have barely had any problems. Wait time was good. Nurses can have a bit of an attitude sometimes, but so can everyone. Especially when nearing the end of a long day. Most of the doctors have been caring and actually listened although I've had some that just want to prescribe and move on. It really depends on when and who you get, on how your experience will be.
Admitted in January for heart related issues. Must admit, I was quite frightened. The staff made me feel at ease from the moment that I got there. Because of the horror stories that I have heard in the media, I was not expecting the professionalism that I experienced. I am very grateful to the doctors and staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
I have been to this hospital many times and they refuse to treat me. I have gone in with broken bones and tons of other issues. In over 50 visits I could not even get a blood test even after I asked for one many times. This is the most pathetic hospital I have ever seen. The doctors just leave me in a room alone for 9-12 hours then discharge me without running a single test. My health has been declining badly over the last 3 years because they refuse to help. DO NOT GO HERE
Just had our first baby here and all the nurses have been, so helpful and friendly with everything having a newborn involves.
I felt like a number Among MANY hope my injury was taken serious I didn't feel I was Treated serious
2nd time here and waiting time is longer than the check up/consultation time. I had to wait for 2 hours and had to wait again when I got in the emergency room. Other patients are complaining already and all they can respond is they don't know how long or why is it gonna take too long. We're getting impatient and we need at least estimations or explanation somehow.
Quickly through emergency, less than an hour. A little disorganized when we were being admitted, but our situation was unique. Everyone very friendly and helpful.
My brother went to emergency with a blood clot in his lung and leg (he has a blood condition and has been in the hospital 3 other times with clots, nearly losing his life each time). Dr. Bilal Mir asked him what the problem was. He was explaining his history with blood clots and told him that he had a blood disorder that causes clots. Dr. Mir yelled at him saying in so many words,(why didn't you tell me that? I don't have any charts on you). That's what he was doing when he got yelled at...explaining his situation...duh!! Then he couldn't be bothered to run the proper tests to determine if it was a clot. All he did was take an x-ray in which he explained there was something there, but he couldn't tell if it was old or new. Obviously it was new...THAT'S WHY HE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL IN THE FIRST PLACE! When my brother asked if he should go to work with a clot in his leg, the doctor told him he wouldn't give him a note because he didn't have proof that there was a clot. I wonder why he didn't order an ultrasound or CT scan to find out? If he did his job properly, he would have proof that it was a clot. CLOTS CAN BE DEADLY! A doctor's job is to save lives, not send patients out the door when an event can take their life. He told him to go back to Sparwood and have them take care of him there. The reason he came to Lethbridge in the first place was because Sparwood Hospital is small and doesn't have the proper equipment. He thought he would be taken care of here....boy was he wrong. I would hope if Dr. Mir read this, he would take a look in the mirror and ask himself if he is doing his job to the best of his ability and with care and compassion for his patients. He needs to work on his bedside manner. My brother did mention that the rest of the staff was kind and helpful.
When came wait time was 1 hour and 14 minutes after waiting 1 hour 50 minutes the only answer I got was just check the screen What ever the time says on and the time on it was changed to 2 hours and 15 minutes so maybe will have to wait again for another 2 hours. Had surgery 4 days ago and was not able to sit for long.
They killed our mom. After any heart attack you should give hypothermia treatment. Instead the gave our mom a antibiotic she was already known at the hospital to be allergic to and then fentanyl and other drugs. If you want your loved ones to die, come to this dump of a hospital.
Amazing Staff, both nurses and doctors. Doing their best to get people in and out and taken care of properly.
Having a constant pain in my chest. My physician set me down to ER for xray ECG and blood work. The female that hooked up my ECG told me to lay down and hold still. I had an attack which shakes my body. The females bitterly ripped the cords from the sticky pads and walked out, my ECG was not done. This female should not be in RR. People don't come to the ER because they want to. They are there for a reason!
If I could give zero star review I would. Lethbridge emergency is a absolute joke. Second time being here. Five years ago came in with bad chest pain at 2am, sat in triage for four hours because I looked to young for heart attack or serious complication. Ended up being an infection around my heart. Last night come in with severe leg and back pain, ct scan and blood work showed blood clot, drugged and sent home. Come back in this morning with bad pain, sit in agony for three hours not to be seen. Good thing blood clot in a leg is not a big deal. If you can make it to Calgary I suggest taking the drive, Lethbridge emergency is absolutely horrible
Had my first surgery here and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The doctors and nurses were very accommodating and the staff was upbeat even when it was busy. The PACU nurse was a total sweetheart. I thought I would have anxiety about the procedure but I didn't because everyone ensured I was as comfortable as possible.
The nurses were just fantastic all service we got was absolutely the best may God bless the hospital
Calling from Dallas Texas for my elderly Mother. No patient phones!! Wow! So sad that our Healthcare has become such a business instead of preserving life and providing for care both Medical and psychosocial needs. Nurse had to check to see if I was on the list in the chart. Protection of privacy but all I had to do is give her name and the operator told me her Birthdate! I had to confirm yes or no! We have nurses walking to patient rooms for phone calls- really? Sad
This is the worst hospital that I know the nurses are inexperienced rude and disrespectful no mercy they treat people like animals and the doctors aren't any better whatsoever it's all about making money for them or for the hospital please don't go there you won't get proper care anyway go to a hospital near by
I had a horrible experience at this place. I came in for a CT scan and got bad radiation poisoning. I've heard of similar cases from other patients.
Horrible staff. They don't even feed you give you blanket. The nurse that takes blood has tantrums. Very poor bedside manners.
I was in the ICU from June 26 to July 13 of this year. The Doctors (specialists) nursing staff and all the other staff that I was in contact with were very kind, professional and took great care of me during my stay. Although that I was not happy to be there, ( and who is when they have to be in the hospital) was glad they were taking care of me.
They saved my life on more than one occasion and always provided excellent service!
Doctors and nurses are good, reasoning for one star is, my husband walked in today for his foot its completely swollen and he can't even walk at the rate of its swelling. Any who he walks in, only gets to check in about after an hour and then he waits for 4 freaking hours! He walked out. Normally the wait time dont bother me, but the fact that other people walked in after him and got seen right away is what tops the cake. So thanks for nothing
Line ups as usual for a hospital but friendly and helpful staff
Worst hospital I’ve ever been to, the nurse don’t know what they’re doing at all and are just plain rude and the doctor in the ER was rude, incompetent and just trying people through without addressing the problem or even willing to help find a specialist. Plus wouldn’t even try to get to the bottom of the issue when this has been a recurring issue, I would rather go get treated at the veterinarian than by these horrible people
Have lived in Lethbridge most of my life. Numerous visits to this hospital for family, friends and myself. The nursing staff seem to have a holier than thou attitude. They seem to think they are above everyone. From 1 nurse to the next they don't seem to communicate and know what is going on. Most drs are ok here however A Dr we recently had the pleasure of dealing with accused my wife of leaving to do drugs when she was a patient there. She offered up a urine test to prove him wrong. She and to leave to go to school and the nurse also didnt believe her and wanted to call the college she was attending. The Nurses are who give this place a bad name. If they dont wsnt to work with people and help them to get better why are they here?. The prejudice towards minority's is openly apparent. Most not all nurses are very rude and tend to talk down to the patients my wife as well as others we viewed in the same area. If you are not in dire need make the drive to Taber hospital or anywhere else. The nurses here need better training and people skills. They need to drop the attitude. If it was at the end of a long shift I'd get that. But to be that way all the time while working with patients creates a atmosphere no one wants to be in. Very disappointed with the nursing staff. If you do go and a nurse gives you attitude do not stand for it. Make a complaint and do not allow a nurse to be rude or ignorant to you or your family. You do not need the added attitude to with what's already ailing you.
The attending nurses in emergency were great, they get the only star. We were attended to by Dr. Bilal Mir and absolutely discussed with his level of professionalism. He may know his stuff...? But perhaps he should should consider an alternative area other than ER where little to no interaction is needed.
Calgary's South Health Campus hospital is like going to a Lexus dealership and Chinook regional Hospital is like going to Canadian Tire. No professionalism. They treat you like lint or bottle cap. The reason two stars PACEMAKER CLINIC is close to the parking lot.
Very dirty hospital napkins with blood on them laying on Emergency room floor. Workers very rude and nasty wish I could give it 0 stars
Had great experience under the circumstances. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who know
Went in today for my girlfriend having a head injury we believed to be a concussion. We were intially confused by the process but just go to the first window called triage before registering. The wait with half full room was very quick to go through. Between the first and the second waiting room we were able to see a doctor within 20 minutes. Dr Ryan greeted with a joke that we did not get but the friendliness came across. His check for her concussion was proffesional and he made us feel comfortable with natural conversation, questions, and a smile. He asked all the questions that should be asked. We were given a resource of further things to do along with his instructions via a website he says his helpful. Appreciated a soccer game being on in the first lobby and overall for a hospital it was quick and painless. Hope you have a similar experience.
I wouldn't send my dog to this place. No one in triage to help you. No one in the waiting area and still you have to wait. No one in emerg being looked after and still you have to wait to see a Dr. This place is a joke. The lack of care that they have for fellow humans is questionable. To leave a person on the floor in pain then get mad at them for laying on the floor says a lot about the nurses. If they hate the job so much why do they bother to stay and cause us their employer so much distress?
Good covid protection still have to wait 2 to 3 hours to see a doctor so many sick people there should be more doctors
I understand the hospital is a basically a training facility i was told by 1 of the head nurses to keep my personal belongings my personal belongings close beside me as there was thievery going on this is very alarming last time I was there the guy next to me was missing his wallet and car keys he went through emergency no one could find his stuff too many students coming and going
I recently experienced a medical situation requiring a trip to the ER. I was taken in quickly and saw Dr. Orr. He was beyond kind, thorough and I genuinely felt like he cared. Th ER nurses were also very kind. During my 3 day stay, the nurse checked in on me regularly and were very compassionate. A few weeks later I was taken back to the hospital again. with the same problem. Dr. Mir and the triage nurse were quick to help and very kind. It was helpful as I was very nervous about the situation. I really have no other words to describe how awesome the staff are at the hospital were to me.
Being 30 weeks pregnant I went into emerg with shortness of breath, people who had coughs and were puking were getting seen before me and when we asked the nurse we were told because the triage nurse didn't put us as a priority. So when we finally got called back we were talking to the nurse and she said there is an influenza outbreak, cool so let's have the pregnant lady sit there among all these sick people to get sick. I also should have been sent to the maternity ward to have my baby be checked, that never happened. If I can avoid it, I will not be having my child at this hospital!
Well I had a good experience with the beautiful nurses in the delivery word. Couldn't ask for more compassionate and knowledgeable staff in the delivery ward. But can't say the same thing for maternity leave word. I would recommend a …
Appointment to see Dr. Anderson Went well all staff fantastic with covid-19 protocols. All wearing masks.
Failed to ask the most basic questions in triage and I was not even spoken to once I got a room to actually be questioned about what was going on with me. Just a doctor that came in, told me “good luck” and wouldn’t even refer me to a specialist after failing to diagnose me with a dangerous infection that I was hospitalized for 5 days later. Nurse in ER also failed to help a man laying on the floor unable to move because he “wanted to be there.” I was in genuine shock. Do NOT go here. Wouldn’t take someone’s pet hamster for healthcare at this “facility.”
Only reason it gets one star is some of the nursing staff is incredible .
visiting from Calgary my mother ended up being in chinook regional for 1 1/2 weeks. Cannot say enough about the excellent care she received at the hospital. From the paramedics to the emergency staff,ICU,and 4c staff. They were attentive, caring and could not do enough for her. The hospital was very clean. It was so nice to see coming from a big city where that kind of care is not always seen.
I sent my family member into the ER by ambulance, she had over medicated (A one time thing and my GUESS). She left nearly unconscious and incoherent. 8 hours later I get her back, somewhat conscious and pretty damn incoherent still. No confirmation on why she's so out of it. No suggestions, no nothing. Your tax dollars at work...if work was asking me why she is so out of it and doing pretty much nothing.
My nurse megan from labour and delivery truely made the most horrible day of life more bearable! I couldnt be more thankful for the support and care she had for me! Truely the best nurse ive ever had in my life!!
The care my brother has received in the Lethbridge regional hospital is sub standard and worse. Colonoscopy bag never emptied ,the sheets dirty his room is dirty, the food tray is dirty and then wonder why he doesn’t eat. We were told my brother had stage four cancer along with other health issues , my brother is 59 years old and started out at 180 lbs he ways 90 lbs today. We were told he had weeks to a couple months. My brother has a high loving family that loves him, a week ago they took out the salin they have let him become so dehydrated, he got thrush and is emaciated we don’t know why the salin was cut off I am so sad for him. There is no dignity in death at the regional hospital in Lethbridge . They should all be sued for what they have neglected to do or communicate. I love my brother and he will die but much sooner than need be again thanks to the Lethbridge regional hospital,. For gods sake go to calgary
I have taken up space here on several occasions, and all I can say is thank you to everyone who works here, they have a tough job to do, and they do it with a smile, patience, generosity, and cool heads, even during difficult times, each one person there has a job I don’t know if I could do, so my hat is off to you, and a special call out to the individuals from the orthopaedic department, between the nurse (Marsha) and a gentleman (Hugh, recently retired) who have made my trips there bearable, and funny, plus the Doctors (MSK clinic) who have worked tirelessly to help me, you are all amazing.
