It's a nightmare, much like the layout of all Sobeys grocery stores. Not a fan. The staff are great and store is clean. Just grocery shopping has been taken to the next level, by literally making it a scavenger hunt. If you're feeling adventurous, grab your compass and your GPS, cause you are in for a wild ride! On a side note it's not nearly as bad as the Sobeys on South Pembina.

When I first moved to Henderson and adapted to my surroundings. My first visit to this sobeys was traumatic. It seemed dark and dingy. The clientele were ignorant and rude. The staff were too busy personal shopping to want to help me. If its your break, disguise your uniform, I'm only human. The quality of the food prep was kind of unsettling. I did not buy and fresh cut fruit. The vibe from the staff made me think they didn't care. Therefore is would reflect in the food. The rest of that trip was a disaster... from not having everything I needed in stock to the uncomfortable checkout. Going forward a little over a year, things have changed. I really like the manager( don't know her name). And the staff have gotten a lot happier! Its kept fairly clean. I have not used their washroom. The stock has been good. Sometimes their sale/airmiles tags are unclear or missing. I feel maybe they are going through some growing pains, but they are on their way!

Bought a pack of cherry tomato today, it was MOD at the bottom!! Can’t believe how the Sobeys control their product quality and how can they even didn’t check their product before they put it out on the shelf??? Unbelievable bad quality. A fancy supermarket sell mod fruit? Who would image this happened? I was there this afternoon and wanted to buy a box of strawberry, can’t even pick up a nice fresh strawberry so I chose the cherry tomato, and I feel very disappointed, I would never come back to this store ever again!!

I was at the Henderson Hwy location. Staff are always pleasant and friendly and willing to help. This store is always clean and well stocked. I strongly advise patrons to be familiar with the normal pricing of items. Certain items that I purchase regularly, are cheaper at other stores. ie: Walmart, Superstore and Costco. So I definitely do not do all of my shopping store. at one store.

I avoid this shop since they renovated last year. They must've borrow the layout from casino designers. It's impossible to walk-in, pick up what you need, and go directly to check-out. Customers are funnel through the entire shop, except I can't find the cheese.

I have been going to this Sobeys for 3 years, for its produce selection and freshness. Service is great and the team is caring. I have had a few items that either needed to be returned or I had questions about. At all times their customer service went out of their way to find a solution. Late last night I came in to return an item, and even though the manager wasn't around, and while I was shopping, the manager was called at home to find a solution, I was shopping and they came down to find me and let me know that they have figured out how to proceed. This way of going out of their way, and going the extra mile, is the reason I went out of my way to write a reivew on this great service, as I really enjoy going to this Sobeys.

Staff was quite helpful and polite. Was looking for a particular item thinking it should be near the cheese and deli area, bit could not find it. When asked if I needed help i was immediately shown where to look. Tills were a bit backed up when I went to pay, and within moments they opened extra tills and filtered people through quickly.

She completely ignored me while I was talking and then stuck her nose up at me because I wanted to put an item back, i spent 100 dollars there today only her to be like that to me a customer on top of that she had all the other customers waiting because she didnt know how to work the co puter. Have had two bad experiences here in the last month or so. I usually stop by here after work to pick up a chipotle rotisserie chicken as they make an awesome and easy dinner solution. I come in around 5:00 PM and can see they are out of chickens and this is not uncommon. I don't understand how you can be out of them when you guarantee them for another 3 hours. So I noticed with the guarantee that the next time you will get a free one. I went over to "Customer Service" which is a joke as the woman acted as if I was completely inconveniencing her. Then she pages a Manager who comes and tells me they will be ready in 30 minutes. He offers the coupon but then begins to lecture me as how I won't be able to use it today, and I can only use it at this location. I ended up leaving because I wasn't in the mood to be talked down to by someone in Jr. Management on a power trip. Now last night I come in with a friend just to pick up one quick thing and it's about 20 minutes before the store is closing so you can tell the employees want to go home. My friend places his item down; while being completely ignored by the cashier "Katrina" who is busy having a conversation with another employee. She asked him how he was paying and he told her. She goes back to her conversation once again ignoring my friend. She has yet to process the payment and turns back to him with the snottiest attitude "how are you paying!?" Maybe if she had been paying attention to the customer (doing her job) she would have heard the first time. It's a shame people like this are employed in Customer Service positions, because it makes me never want to come back here.

If you like to shop early, expect to fight your way around pallets of items in the isles while they stock shelves. Other than that it's a clean store with a good selection. Prices tend to be higher than other stores unless there is a sale.

We came here for just a few groceries on our way to Grand beat. It is a very large clean and impressive place. But I find the prices at this sovies just as I do for other Sobeys are very very high. So it's good for picking up a few things here and there but I wouldn't want to do my weekly grocery shopping here simply because it is very expensive. This is especially the case in contrast to Superstore. Of course you get to shop in a really huge clean modern place. We didn't receive any help from any employees so I can't comment on customer service.

I shop here purely out of convenience. The cashiers deserve a 5 star rating as they are always great. The lay out of the store entrance is a ridiculous maze with narrow choke points crowded by the deli counter customers. There is never any help to be found in any of the aisles. If you are able to flag someone down, good luck trying to get any helpful information out of them.

I like Sobeys, even if they're more expensive than Superstore because the stores aren't ridiculously big, the push carts aren't friggin enormous, and there's less people to annoy me. I always end up having to go back for missed air miles, customer service is a little curt at times, and the parking lot is the worst. Let's be honest...if Sobeys wasn't three blocks from my house I wouldn't go out of my way for it. But they haven't pissed me off enough to make me quit them.

OMG, whenever I come here to p/u the odd 1 or 2 items I'm shocked at the amount of people that shop here. The prices are exorbitant compared to many other grocers & the way they set up the store a year or 2 back defies logic. It's a maze which prevents one from getting through to the next department & it forces customers to endure a much longer, frustrating shopping experience! Don't these consumers know that almost ALL other grocery chains (except Safeway- same company as Sobeys) offers price match which will considerably lower your grocery bill in today's higher priced market.

This is the first time I have been here since the renovations. I don't live in this neighborhood but I was visiting my mom and stopped in to get groceries, on my way home. I HATE HATE HATE the new layout. It is very hard to get around and find what you are looking for. It does not make any sense. I only had 6 items on my shopping list and only left with 3! Your lactose free selection is a joke. Milk and one yogurt and one brand of ice cream!? Seriously? The selections of brands of other items was very slim.The prices are way too high. The staff was rude when I needed help finding the simplest things and my cashier was rude. I won't be back. Thankfully I dont live around here anymore and don't need to rely on this store.

This grocery store is bigger than I thought and different from other Sobeys in regards to their take-out/home food. Their sushi station is a bit more advanced and even features donburi and ramen dishes made on site! Have not seen another Sobeys that has a ramen station unless I've missed one driving around the city.

We shop here regularly, mostly for items we can't get at our main supermarket. Prices are not that great for most items, unfortunately, so we don't normally get staples here unless we need them in a hurry. Good selection of hot sauces (which changes from time to time), and they started carrying Pic-a-Pop a while back. Staff are generally helpful.

I am finding myself liking this location less and less. Everytime I seem to be shopping there, checkout lines are long and few. When you go to superstore or even Safeway down the street on a Saturday or Sunday, I find their to be much more lines and way shorter. Whether this is due to each site having self checkout can be up to debate. I will say that Sobeys tends to have fresher produce than superstore (particularly fruit) but that's all they tend to have going for them at the moment.

Purchased cut Glads. A customer service rep asked me if I knew the 'trick' to ensure that the Glad blooms would open. Since I didn't, she shared the trick and boy was she correct!!! The blooms have opened and the Glads are gorgeous!!! Thank you!!! Trick: snip off the top few unopened blooms. This will force the 'energy' of the Glad to be funneled into opening the blooms rather than into 'growing' the Glad stock taller.

The only reason I shop here is because I live SO close to it. What I don’t like about it is that it puts out dated food on sale. I had three dinners ruined and had to quickly change course which included wine pairings because I opened the package to a rot smelling product. And don’t get me started on the seafood section. They do however return my money graciously. Getting tired of this store and Co-Op Store is outrageously expensive as an alternative in the area.

So many are struggling to keep their jobs etc. There are so many stores I will never shop at when this is over because they are so rude and act like gustapo since covid. Always a reliable stop for replenishing the diminshed supplies in fridge and pantry. I have found the staff here very helpful and accommodating. With reasonable prices -- do remember to comparison shop, though -- they are worth the trip for special weekly and/or monthly bargains. Shopping here is always less stress than a trip to Superstore, but, as already said, mind the prices to optimise your budget.

Any time you have a question or head up to the "Customer Service" desk - you have to deal with one of these 2 sourpusses. Really amazing that upper management would think "I know... Lets put the 2 most miserable people we can find at the customer service desk... That will be really great for the customers."!! ... Seriously?! I mean.. .I don't want to judge why a person may be miserable. Everyone has their problems. But I used to work in the service industry - and I know its a hard job - but your first responsibility is to be happy and friendly to the customers. Not miserable and bitchy! Your job is to be friendly! Not to bring the whole place down with your misery. Do your job - be friendly and put a smile on you face. I find myself going a further distance to another Sobeys or the Safeway down the road - just to avoid these 2 miserable people. I suggest upper management reminds these 2 what customer service is supposed to be all about - or replace them with someone who can at least muster up a minimal smile.

My one issue with the layout of the newer Sobeys is they're not covid friendly with the directions. If I miss one thing on my list I have to cart around the store for another mile till I get back to it. Two frustrating experiences I will now be avoiding any newer Sobeys layout.

Awesome Sobeys. One of the nicest in town. Makes your average safeway look like total crap. All the normal groceries plus fresh bakery, fresh deli and foods like soup and pasta, sandwiches made in house. Also fresh bento sushi bar in house fresh sushi daily. Great staff.

Excellent store new layout makes you feel like your a mouse in a maze that has to pay for its prize too. Dollar days are good and they make sure to never let themselves sell anything that isn t fresh. Their prices are medium to high. You need to find a better way for people to choose what kind of bag they want. I waited behind a family for ten minutes in line buying 7 things because the cashier and the folks had to make a life decisions on buying bags. So I tried moving to another till, nope, gotta unfold the paper bag and reach deep down because those things are deep and must be packed just so, I had to leave my purchases because I could not wait any longer.

Absolutely the worst Sobeys in the city of Winnipeg. Displays and shelves in all departments are almost always empty or picked over by 4 or 5pm. Only thing they are always stocked up on is chips. Customer service is hit or miss - either it's amazing and perfect or terrible..there is no in between at this Sobey's. Edit: do not use the curbside pickup service (voila) there is no way to tell what is actually in stock or not, And if your experience is anything like mine, multiple items will be missing. It doesn't make sense to do curbside pickup for partial groceries and then have to pick up the rest myself anyhow. May as well just go shopping!

The shopping experience here was okay but nothing special. They do offer a wide range of products so if that's important to you definitely check it out but I feel they try to accomplish too much in a very chaotic way. The salad bar by the deli usually contains old wilted items that look like they have been there for a while and the service and the deli is never prompt. Windows store first opened up and it still had a lot of hype behind it everything was maintained and was much smoother. Just an average grocery experience now

It's really small, they hardly have any isles open, the selection there is super basic and you can't find anything interesting outside of some pasta. The Asian isle is like a few selections of rice and that's it. The deli is nice, the bakery is good and the pharma is quick. Otherwise it's a regular store with no real appeal.

Deli has a nice selection of meats. Cinnamon rolls used to be amazing but have gone downhill lately. Artisan breads are nice. Butcher is not that knowledgeable, was looking for a specific cut of beef and was told that it did not exist. Pulled up a picture of all the different cuts of beef and they maintained it is not real. Vegetables are not very fresh. Good for getting Deli meat and milk.

The service here is usually very good, the store is always well stocked and clean. On this one occasion the thing I didn't like is the young cashier was spraying the belt with sanitizer. The belt was wet and I didn't want to put my groceries on there. She said oh it's gonna dry. I had things like broccoli, peppers, etc. I did not want to put them on the sanitizer. I also did not want to use a plastic bag for everything because of concern for the environment. I put my shopping bags down and then laid my groceries on top of the bags. After I did that she was not very polite. I thought, " these are my groceries, I'm paying for them and I'm going to be eating them so please be respectful of that!" Thank you!

I loathe this place! It has the worst set up of aisles I've ever experienced! You may be in one section then to get to another you have to backtrack to the front of the store to go thru to other aisles. It defies all logic. Super expensive too. I'm always actually shocked the amount of people who shop here, getting ripped off. They also removed their self checkouts, another negative as they usually have lineups & I've just popped in for the odd item, (then often discover they're out of what I want & I have to buy something else!).
