The store is a great place for savings but today one of the managers was not at her best. She was assisting a cashier with some pricing while blocking us from bagging our groceries, while not wearing a mask. Come on you expect the customers to wear a mask! Unacceptable

I've had only good experiences at this store. Each time I have gone the clerk was very professional, friendly, and asked me if I had found everything I was looking for, which I had. Some things are cheaper than other grocery stores, some things are about the same. They have an interesting selection of international foods, for example, carrot juice from Poland, Indian naan bread, and Irish tea. Also, their grocery bags are much stronger and more durable than the average grocery store's bags which generally fall apart if you try to carry them more than 100 meters.

New to Kelowna, we've given Freshco a couple of tries. Their flyers say they have the lowest prices and I'd say they really do have great prices. The store is clean and well laid out. 5 stars from us.

Decent place. It's not mind blowingly cheaper than alternatives, but it does offer good pricing on some things. Cat food is very cheap, so are household items. Some groceries as well. Meat selection is atrocious though, don't go there if you need some grilling done. Also chicken and eggs when prepared smell like fish. And I bought organic eggs and almost threw them away because smell was bad. Usually happens when chicken is fed cheap fish waste instead of normal food. But the place is clean and organized. Staff is friendly. For what it's worth i go there regularly but watch what I buy.

Fresco now open under Empire Company. They are putting competition with Independent and Real Canadian Superstores. A good place for basic needs at the same price as the larger grocery stores. But much smaller than these huge mega grocery stores. You will find a lot but not everything that you may need, like international foods or larger size containers of foods.

The carts outside require quarters, but they have them sanitized and in the store waiting for use no $ required. Clean store, helpful staff who were friendly. Good selection of produce, with all of the basics covered. I appreciated their deli selection, as that department can be overwhelming and confusing in other stores. Clearly marked directional arrows on aisles. Terrific pricing, with price matching. Pleasant music that wasn't too loud or quiet. I enjoyed my first shopping experience here, and will definitely return in the future.

I was coming here quite often and always enjoyed my shopping experience, however after today I will no longer be coming to this store....after being accused of stealing while using self checkout. I paid for my item, and left the building. One of the employees comes running outside yelling for my attention to see whether I paid for my item or not. Maybe spend less time having private conversations with your coworkers and you would've known I paid!

Hi. I have read some of these reviews. I shopped here today for the first time with my mom (Senior) and I have to say the service and the management were amazing. Yes the store is clean, to be expected as it is a rather new store. I only grabbed a few items, however I was overall quite pleased with the store. Great job!

Extremely disorganized and low on stock! Cashier also made snide remarks that she is “actually from here” when we asked if they have bags - which has nothing to do with needing a bag so we were confused why she felt the need to inform us of that in the first place. We live in West Kelowna and just stopped in on our way back from doing errands….definitely won’t be returning.

Seems very disorganized. Not even the staff seem to know where anything is. (I get that it's a newer store so hopefully this improves). Lighting is really bright, almost to the point of headaches/eye strain. Also what's with the ugly green/yellow colour scheme? Prices seem about the same as any other grocery store these days. We only really go in here if there happens to be a sale on some of our usual groceries.

Very friendly staff. Excellent pharmacy staff. Never too busy or crowded. Doesn’t have all of the unnecessary, made in China extras you get at superstore to waste money on. Always fresh fruit and veg. And they try for as much bc grown as possible. Much cleaner than superstore. Very easy parking.

I honestly think that people come here because of FreshCo's green-coloured store theme—it's a newly-opened store in Kelowna and the green colouring scheme makes it look "fresh". It's not necessarily cheaper than Costco or Superstore but they have more varieties, especially when it comes to international foods/snacks. They have international snacks you can't find anywhere else. Price wise, however, I wouldn't go to FreshCo for groceries (exception: they sell the cheapest surgical masks at $15/50pcs!)

there should be a deli and roasted chicken like safeway before ..like ready to eat chicken in retail ...this is what the consumers need as no time to cook after work..we still go to safe on foods to buy ready to eat chicken like wings breast yhighs and also whole toasted chicken and pork ribs cooked..thank you..vegetables should be cgesp compared to Superstore be as freshco says cheap lower prices..thank you 4% but ig you gave these ready to eat chicken parts and whole roasted chicken your rate will be 9%

We shopped here for the first time. Wanted to see if it was worth the further distance we would have to drive. Was very disappointed. We bought all of our produce from here, only to find it all go bad days after we brought it home. More then 60% of what we purchased was unedible 6 days later. We'll be going back to the Superstore from now on.

Their stated policy of "Guaranteed in Stock, or we will give you a Rain Check and 10% off" is simply NOT TRUE. Dairyland butter is currently in their flyer, on sale, but not in their Kelowna store. When I asked about getting a Rain Check, I was told that they won't issue one because they had stock problems from Vancouver. What?!?!? After a bit of argument, staff offered Compliments-brand butter, but still no Rain Check. Obviously, Freshco doesn't live up to its stated "policy" of Rain Checks.

Prices are great but on atleast 3 occasions now I have bought chicken from here that was 2-3 days before expiry date but when used later the same day I could tell it was clearly more like 2-3 days past expiry date. Also the last time I was here all the chicken appeared to have a yellowish colour and smelled a bit. I will never buy meat from here again as it seems to be a regular practice to sell meat past expiry and change the expiry date on it.

I went to Freshco this morning looking to purchase some deodorant. I was wearing cargo shorts and a tshirt and was carrying my work uniform in a reusable bag as it was 34 degrees and I usually change at work. I could not find any deodorant and so I decided to leave, the colleague working at the self check out lane asked if I had found everything okay, I said that I had not. She then asked me if the bag I was carrying was empty. I told her that it contained my work uniform. I am deeply offended as that question can only imply that she thought I was stealing and was passively accusing me of such. I sincerely hope that not every customer is treated or questioned in this manner. It is even more unfortunate that I have shopped at this location several times in the past and have spoken to this colleague previously (all those meetings were quite pleasant). Needless to say I will no longer be shopping at this location and I hope that staff are taught to use better judgement when dealing with your customers.

Why is this store not doing more to enforce the mask mandate? Every time I come in here there are no fewer than 4 people wandering around without a mask on, and the clerks are wearing face shields that are not approved by the PHO mask mandate or Work Safe BC. Your staff and customers deserve to be safe and not have to strategically grocery shop because some selfish individuals choose to act like there is no pandemic.
