Well there are many things I can say about FreshCo. It used to be the old Safeway but, I think that they have done an excellent job of renovating it. The prices are very competitive, I usually shopped across the street but the prices at FreshCo have been much lower which has made me shop here more and more. The front end staff are excellent, always go out of their way to make sure you feel good and say hello. I would like to single out two areas of the store that I have to say that they are going up and beyond their regular duties. First are the 2 girls who work in the lottery booth ( so friendly) and if you have a special coin, the older lady loves to collect them. I almost feel bad saying (older) cause she got a smile of a 20year old. Finally to my favourite place in the store, the Pharmacy. If you have a chance to visit the wonderful ladies in this small space you will find that they always have smiles on their faces and have been to many pharmacies and this has to be the best one in Kamloops. So even if you don't have to visit the Pharmacy if you walk by say hello to all the wonderful ladies working very hard. Stephen Wells

Used to like shopping there apparently the staff on express can't count I can understand a couple items but a full cart counts as 15 items while the express line is halfway down the aisle and two other cashier's with there tills open for full cart shopping bloody ridiculous and this is the third time. I can understand if there's one cashier but I'm done and if your the manager check your store cams Sunday the 26th if you think it exaggerated .

We love the store since moving here a month ago. Great deals. Friendly staff. Fantastic ethnic ingredients and ready made items. The only negatives are no deli, no fresh seafood/fish, you must pack your own groceries which can be a huge hassle when you are making a very large order and have disabilities, and each time we come here there are riffraff panhandlers hanging out right outside the door and that can be a bit intimidating especially at night. My senior mother wont go in the store and do her shopping because of the panhandlers (which ironically sit under a sign that says no panhandlers or solicitors LOL) as she says they freak her out. Freshco may want to do something about that as my mom can’t be the only one who is bothered by them. Otherwise great store.

Pretty underwhelming. It's small, cramped and the prices are not anything special. The "bakery" is terrible, and there is no self checkout if that's something you're looking for. I really can't see this place luring anyone away from where they already shop. Very disappointed.

Good sales on currently as due to opening maybe trying to lure in business. Good selection of products in the International and Asian food section. Has a Pharmacy.

Freshco has been open since May 2020. I didnt realize it was even there until the beginning of July. Freshco is definitely the 1st place I'll go to buy my groceries because of the deals they have, example would be the blocks of cheese for 5$ or even the 9 piece chicken breast I got for 11$.

I was convinced then to pay the appropriate price but the deal was so great I had to let the honoring be honored. What was it I've been asked? I find the produce is decent and prices are good on some items. I did not like having to buy cloth bags or more pricey larger reusable heavy plastic bags with no option to pay less for a plastic bag that we can recycle. The check out cashier was friendly and provided fast clean service. I do not find the selection of products to match what I tend to buy.

Surprisingly happy with their selection of international foods. Store carries a selection of organic products. Noticed some items were lower than save-ons without being on sale. Store is bright, clean, well organized imo. Greeter gives hand sanitizer at door. Store laid out with single direction stickers for aisles during pandemic. Will be returning.

Great prices and products. Produce guarantee - if you're unhappy with your produce, they will replace it and give you your money back. I just wish they would bag the groceries as they scan or offer a self checkout. It's so awkward trying to bag your own groceries at the regular checkout after they have piled it all up.

Great prices and a wide variety of products, fresh meats, and fresh produce. Excellent selection of international foods, mainly middle eastern, Indian and Filipino. Some items are missing from other big name grocery stores but they make up for it with their low prices and variety. The only downside sometimes is the staff. They can sometimes come off as rude, extremely judgey, and like they just don't want to be there.

Freshco. Clean and Green! Always a pleasant shopping experience at Freshco. Employees are helpful and welcoming, store is clean and organized, and the shelves are always stocked. They do still use quarters for their shopping carts but the last time I forgot my quarter the floor manager was kind enough to provide one! We make Freshco one of our weekly grocery shops because of the great service we have received there!

I live on the Northshore and decided to check out the new FreshCo, at first glance was impressed, until I hit the meat department and the shelves were empty and nobody was restocking. We bought some Maple Penache Breakfast sausages, and a package of Pastrami. We went shopping on the 13th of August. When we got home we stuck both items in the freezer, lone behold we go to go take out the items for lunch and breakfast and the date on both items where August 11th overdue and totally wasted my money. I guess the Freshco isn't so fresh , check your dates people because obviously they don't.

I don’t know if it’s the store owners wife or sister, but she was being very passive aggressive to customers and the employees. It’s sad to see that management treats their employees like that. Besides that bad experience, there’s nothing special to the store. No bakery or deli, just a bunch of freezer and refrigerated stuff. Hopefully in the future they’ll learn how to properly treat people.

We tried to support small local businesses like Freshco but I guess it ended today. Spent nearly a thousand dollars every month here for the last four months, today 2 staff members required me a flyer from another shopping center to price match an item and I only had their website for local stores. To be honest, if I could go there to grab a flyer, why would I go all the way back to shop here? Should I not value my time than a few bucks? That's it, another Safeway.
