I am pretty irritated with the Save on Foods pharmacy here. I booked an appointment for the flu shot several weeks ago. The time and day I chose was bookable, despite the clinic not having enough vaccines available. Today, when I called to confirm my appointment for tomorrow I was told that it was cancelled due to there being no vaccines in stock. I shouln't have had to call in to find this out with less than 24 hours notice. If you do not have the stock available, do not make the appointment bookable and do not wait so close to the appointment to inform me. I could have booked elsewhere and have gotten it done already. I had other appointments I scheduled for different days to accomodate my flu shot for tomorrow, so this was highly inconvenient. I have had health issues in the past that mean the flu could severly impact me, and I am in contact with others with compromised immune systems, so it is important I get this done ASAP.

normally great service but had a very bad one the other day. The cashier was on his cell, did not acknowledge my presence for a delayed period of time, could not find the code # for the item I wanted to purchase made a feigned attempt to call someone but did not , attempted to look up code and could not find one, asked for assistance and no one came and then just let it go. The manager addressed it by saying he would talk to his entire staff about customer service #FAIL...what about the lazy cashier, his cell phone and latest facebook update, and piss poor service he provided to me? Should I just accept? not impressed at all.....

Ok so we have been on the road for 10 days. Whitehorse was our designated place to re-stock. This Save On Foods did not disappoint!! It had everything we needed, well stocked, open and inviting, clean, and friendly staff!!

It has better cheaper options that Safeway, they will special order for you, Safeway says no without even checking, save on foods doesn't see why not, also the meat is fresher, with better deals.. I can barely even talk about Safeway meat without getting grumpy, better bulk and ethnic food... Safeway has more square footage with less variety

Great friendly staff, amazing selection and a very Clean store are only a few of things you will be saying on your way out. I do all my grocery shopping here. If you have a keen eye you can some pretty exceptional deals! The instore made food is amazing compared to any other grocery store i have been to. Definfinitely try the wing bar and chicken pot pie, then end it off with a frozen Yogurt for dessert!

This is very well stocked store with a good variety of items. I am new to town and it has been nice to be able to just rely on this one store for all our needs. The staff has been really helpful and friendly when needed. Special shout-outs to the chatty cashier from Newfoundland that let me know about the pineapple and lime Crush from the east coast and Jocelyn in pharmacy who was super patient, nice and helpful when I was switching my prescriptions from another pharmacy on a Sunday morning. Since I work from home I don’t get to interact with people in person very often and trips to this store are a highlight of the week.

We decided to try out the new online ordering feature on the Save-On-Foods website. That ordering feature is amazing and it saves so much time just going up to the store parking in the parking lot and it would be brought right out to your car.I will definitely be using this option again as it'll save so much time as I can do all my shopping from home sending the order and then just go pick it up. Instead of having to walk around the store like I usually do for an hour on end. I can continue doing other things well I'm waiting for my order to be shopped for me.

I always enjoy this store. The staff are so friendly and the Manager can regularity be seen greeting customers. The store is clean, organized, and well marked. The grocery pick up service is always on time and well selected. Over the Christmas break, I had my two nieces. We went to buy some snacks. After we had paid For our stuff, a lady from customer service walked over and said “you look like you need something to do tonight” and gave us a cookie decorating kit. I almost cried as I was overwhelmed with her kindness. Thank you. I appreciate the gesture and have always loved the store ????

Save On Foods is got Wonderful desserts for Choaclate Pies in Coconut Pies If looking for anything from steaks too pastas you'll love the deli shop as well in cooked foods for fast meals that still taste like fresh homemade salads Greek salads one of mmmn y favs in olives are a great added touch as I mozzarella in croutons for your Cesar salads I love ice cream after a fantastic meal in Chocolate Pie...Trying there cooked chicken wings are yummy !

Pretty standard as far as Save On Foods stores go. The produce is usually pretty fresh and the meat quality is great. One concern is I find expired or very near (same day) expiring items on the shelves far more often than other stores in town, which should not happen. Nothing worse than getting home and realizing you need to make a trip back for a return on an expired item.

You know what? I've done the survey time and time again and reported issues that are shared by others about inattentiveness by the employees in the deli. I've received rude and incorrect statements from employees and I've watched a worker zone out while doing compost bags and ignoring me for 5 minutes. I've had it. I'd even say thrifties downtown is better and I hate that place.

Save-On is the only place I shop for groceries now (and for the past few months), because they, and their customers, do whatever they can to keep us all safe. The seniors' shopping hour in the morning is also hugely appreciated, and is when I usually do my shopping.

Great place to find special groceries. Famous for always fresh produce. Really helpful and friendly staff. Great sortiment of European sausage in rhe Deli section, if you ask they will pack it for you in brown paper instead of plastic. The only place in Quesnel to buy Avalon milk! Nice and freah sortiment of flowers. Free pieces of fruit for the kids (I love it!). The only place in town to buy German bread from the Lac LaHache Bakery.

We flew into Yukon for a small getaway and this place was a lifesaver! We were staying in a cabin and had to organize our own food - so knowing that we could get everything from Save On's was just perfect for us. They have a lot more Indian-favorite snacks like Kurkure and Maggi noodles, which came as a surprise to us! The place is HUGE and has pretty much everything you need, at the competitive prices you'd expect. Happy to have found this away from home.

I don’t like the fact I need a member card to take advantage of lower pricing - nothing like marking up for you to get a membership. Besides that, prices are astronomical and no real incentive to shop there. As long as I’m selective I can pick up my groceries from a couple different places in town, get the same quality and save money. I will say the presentation of their products are terrific, clean store and bright.

I do have a suggestion and I always do....some and not all of the staff need to learn how to greet and make customers feel welcome such as a simple hello how are you today....and smile if your not happy to be working there I don't want to shop there! Acknowledge people they are helping to pay your wage...they grumps could take lessons from Pete Meaner, seriously????

Save-on foods has an ironic title. It's a pretty expensive grocery store. The quality of their produce isn't the best. They have great cookies and bread from the bakery, however. I go here when my regular grocery store isn't convenient, but I try to limit my visits here because it's expensive.

Really enjoyed my shopping experience here. Colleen the cashier was so great and friendly. I’d gladly go back to this store again. I was so surprised at the selection of meat and seafoods!! The only downfall is some citizens of MH and area don’t wear masks in the store and don’t care about the health and protection of others as we go into a 3rd wave. Shame on them... Save On is great though... good for them for offering delivery and contactless pickup when citizens aren’t following public health guidelines.

I am giving the store a one star rating for their Covid19 procedures. I was in there today and there was a lady not wearing a mask. I asked the lady where her mask was, she stated “for medical reasons she didn’t have to wear one” I responded then you have a doctors note for that. She said “No” Nobody from the store asked her for her doctors note as it is painfully obvious that nobody wanted a confrontation with her. The other obvious thing is why wasn’t she wearing a shield if she can’t wear a mask? I am immune compromised and idiots like her and lack of leadership from management make it far more difficult for me to shop here. Also I used to see the carts regularly sanitized but I don’t see that happening either.

Usually decent service but was extremely disappointed today at checkout. A clerk named Varna was Rude, unfriendly and ignorant to me for no apparent reason other than I suppose she wanted to be somewhere else. That for me is the last straw and I will go OUT OF MY way to go to another grocery store. Very upset and will make a point never to shop there again if A-holes like that are being hired.

Love the specialty isle and the selection for eggs is great ,also I believe they have the best deli meat section of the three major stores hear . I find the staff to be super helpful and very friendly ,I've noticed a trend in alot if stores of pointing to the area your looking for and leaving you to find the item yourself ,not so here ,I've witnessed several employees take the time to walk the customer to the isle and take them directly to the item ,this is how it's supposed to be done ,thank you Save On !

This newer Save on Foods is a very friendly location. You will find that at least two or more staff will greet you in a single shopping visit. The Sushi counter is my favorite spot in the store. Joy will make you up a sushi treat that will keep you coming back. Her sushi is the best in the city I think! This isnt the biggest Save on Foods and sometimes they don't have the variety I am looking for, but they easily make up for it in their warmth, customer assistance and pleasant atmosphere.

The name doesn’t reflect prices. I have never been trained on self checkouts & the rudeness & confrontation from staff that have because my ineptitude interrupted her phone time, made my first & only experience there unpleasant. This was on opening week. I will not be back.

I was waiting in line at 5 pm with 1 full checkout and one xpress check out open. 2 other full check outs had closed signs, but we're clearing out the line with customers. Horrible service model imo. While my back was turned, and after a full 7 minutes of standing in the only line for full orders, I turned around and saw the first two check outs open again, and full of customers. Nobody told me, nobody made any effort to take the longest waiting order, I know because it was me or the customer in front of me. This is the worst example of customer service I have experienced in a long time at any grocery store, obviously the management there is clueless, or simply useless. Tore up my save on card, never will I support this level of ineptitude. My money will go to Thriftys foods, where they seem to value customers, rather than insult them, or Superstore, which also has horrid customer service but much lower prices!

Very clean store with helpful friendly staff. Not everything is a deal. Prices for cleaner less processed foods is higher then other stores. Produce, deli and bakery always have fresh delicious options. There is an eating area and Starbucks in this store. Public washroom's are at the front of the store and back by the cold meats. Produce is well cared for and there is usually someone close by to answer any questions you may have.
