Great location and generally good pharmacy. However, the revolving-door of newly graduated pharmacists has resulted in inconstant service. Some of the pharmacists are excellent, but others will treat a 75 year old longstanding customer like they're a street level drug dealer when they try to renew their blood pressure medicine. Like so many places, staff turnover is a major issue. It is certainly not the same place as when Dave Hill himself was the owner.

My son had a milk protein allergy as a baby and Dave Hill really helped us out with the cost of the formula he needed. In Edmonton, the can of formula (which lasted only 3-4 days) cost $85. I think one year it cost us almost $12k for the formula. At the time it was not covered under Alberta Health, but it's what the doctors used in the Stollery to treat my son and prescribed it to him to take thereafter. Thank you Dave for helping us out. I can't imagine how much more it would have been if we paid full price. ???? And, thank you for ordering it ahead so we would be able to buy it when we ran out. Thank you so much for caring about him. -Eve

The website says that the store delivers, but when I called at 6pm on Friday to request a delivery to my adult daughter who lives in Fort Mac, after being on hold for 10 minutes I was told by someone who seemed confused that the delivery guy wasn't in until Monday. I would have given less than 2 stars but it appears that in General Drug Stores in Fort Mac don't deliver. This was a surprise for a guy from Ontario where every Shoppers Drug Mart delivers for free within town or city limits. Store needs to update their website.

Just gotta be so awesome, and fast. I miss this pharmacy. Every other pharmacy is so f*ing slow. But 5 stars and Dave is so awesome... why da hell he retired.

Love this place. They are fast, super friendly, they can whip or stuff from scratch (diaper rash cream), and they double check the doctors calculations! Free ice cream is a nice touch. We go no other place now and this is not the closest pharmacy to our home.

Best place I ever worked at. Dave gave me a chance and helped me flourish and fine-tune skills I never knew I had. I love watching him interact with his patients, treating each one like his own family and looking after their well-being. I never get tired of hearing him remind customers to "Watch the Eskimos game tonight!!" and hearing him whistle out the window to the next customer in the drive through. He also lets me whistle when I feel like it and never tells me to quieten down:)

This is the best pharmacy I have ever been to!! Prescriptions are filled very quickly and easily (you also get a free ice cream cone!). They have an onsite prescribing pharmacist so I don't have to go to the Doctor or Emergency to get a prescription for a common ailment (ear infections, cough, etc.). They are super friendly and make you feel welcome. They are also so sweet with my little girl every time I go in there. I won't go anywhere else now.

Always great customer service. We live closer to several pharmacies, but we feel valued and are treated like real people at Dave Hill. We came half hour after they closed without realizing, the cash registers were already shut down for the night, so he gave me what my little guy needed and asked me to come back to pay the next day! Dave and the team truly care. Quick, caring and professional, you can't ask for more than that, but on top of that they have a excellent hours and a drive thru, so when you or your kids aren't feeling good you don't even have to get out of the vehicle!

Asked to get an inhaler for my asthma that I felt I may need to get through the night Teva-Salbutamol. I told them I could bring my old one in to show them in fact I need it. They told me to go see a doctor or go to the hospital! What a joke ! Will never be bring my business to this pharmacy ever again! Thanks Guys thanks for you help!

Waited in the drive through with a sick child to have 2 people look at me and walk away. Not even busy inside. Acknowledge you have customers. Service without Dave Hill being there all the time has gone down hill. That was my last attempt to give them my business.

These guys don't answer there phone. Are they short staffed? Over worked? I will be taking my business elsewhere. They received 1/5 stars, cause i couldn't leave a zero. And that's exactly what i think of Dave Hill's pharmacy located in Thickwood Fort McMurray.
