Fish selection is great.

Service not efficient you can stand around in the same spot looking as if you need help and no one comes to ask if you do need help they just blindly walk past you. You have to go find someone and tell them you need help. Beta fish area is gross water is disgusting along with a few dead beta fish still on the shelf that have been there for a few days. Live fish tank area is gross tanks still look dirty even though they look to be recently cleaned along with multiple dead fish in the tanks. Would think a company like PetSmart would have tasks for employees and things to check on in order to bring people to buying their pets.

I like the store. The staff are great. But every fish I've gotten from them has died within a week. Same since I live out of town I'm not going to freeze my dead fish to take back to the store work the receipt. I like the prices there. But I might pay more and shop elsewhere from now on. One more try possibly.

Terrible experience at the self-grooming station. Nobody around and we'd been told when we paid at the front counter that if we couldn't find anyone back there that it was pretty self-explanatory. Since we have a large reactive dog we went in to the wash bay area to get started as we had also been told that there would only ever be one party in at a time and it was empty. Eventually someone showed up but didn't speak to us-rather they talked to another party that had shown up. They then thought they would let the other party in to the second bay even though they said they weren't "technically" supposed to do that. We indicated we have a reactive dog and so it wouldn't be a good idea. We were not offered towels-luckily we had brought our own. We rushed the job because someone else was waiting and as we left after trying to sweep away any of the oversprayed water to the floor drain (that was clogged with hair from a previous dog) the attendant just glared at us. If we somehow breached some hidden protocol they could have let us know but we just followed the instructions on the wash-station. What a horrible experience it was through and through as we were made to feel so unwelcome. We won't be back to spend any money at Courtenay Petsmart.

We had our 2 small dogs booked in for grooming a short while ago. It was the worst job I've ever seen. The girl shaved off one dogs eyebrow right down to the skin. The other had random long pieces all over the place. She boasted about how fast she did the job and honestly I wish she just took the full time that we paid for and did a good job. If I owned this business and this was the quality of work that employee was boasting about I would fire that employee immediately. We'll be taking our pets back to the other groomer in Cumberland. It's a longer drive, which we were hoping to avoid, but this is ridiculous. I think we paid $135 total and it was a total waste of money. What a mess.

Abusive and lazy staff. Avoid this company and all its stores at all costs. They don't even respond to comments because they know they are true.

Great service on Duncan's first cut. Friendly staff, helpful service in grooming. If you think you're paying to much, or you want to make a change, try Petsmart. My coton got a great first cut and looks great. The groomer took the time to interview me about my dog, and did a great job.

Went in to look around and got lost looking at everything ???? found some great sales and a Halloween costume for my dogs ????. A dog dish at 75% off ???? and the birds and fish are awesome. They have dog training on site, I didn't like the way strange dogs came in barking through the middle of Isle ????. Besides that, awesome day.

We've been overwhelmed with the new puppy. I went in one day with a long list and asked a staff member if she could help me find all the items. She did! She even helped fit all the various collars and harness. Her wonderful assistance was very much appreciated! Every time I(we've) gone in, the staff has been very helpful.

My husband bought a beautiful baby albino guinea pig from here and he wouldn't eat properly, I found out that he has severely bad rear teeth problems. They told me they had all of their animals vet checked (clearly untrue), all they told me was that because his 2 week warranty was up they couldn't do anything to help, and they said the best they can do is take him back to basically put him down. I will no longer be buying any animals from this or any petsmart, they are rude and disrespectful to animals of any kind!!!!

3/10 for recent grooming of standard schnauzer. feathers were uneven, asked not to cut beard, just trim. they cut beard, all in all job was rough with grooming clipper tracks still showing a day later. When store opened we were told 65.00 for groom. Bill was 85.00. We will not be back.
