If you treat your employees so bad that they can't provide decent service and polite interactions with customers put some self checkouts in. I've shopped here for the last 3 years but after being treated the way I was a week ago I will never shop here again. I'm no delicate flower but if your employees are unable to do their job either fire them or close your doors. I'm really saddened by this and hope to see your doors shut soon, you do not belong to this community nor do you represent the Canada I know and love.

John's is my favorite grocery store in the Valley, and I live 25 mins from Comox! I regularly drive all across town, over the bridge, and around the dyke to get my groceries from here. They have great deals, a good layout, and friendly staff. Definitely check them out!

First time here, visiting from the lower mainland to see friends. Went inside to buy some groceries, decent size store, I thought there was good selection foods and items. Staff were very nice and things ran efficient. Lots of parking available outside as its connected to the mall.

Pretty much the same as the Superstore, they do have a better sandwich or what you would call meals ready to eat section. They make a great little sub! The store is always nice and clean with a great staff working there.

Great location for me. My favorite grocery store. Large selection but not a huge store. Makes for quicker in and out. Staff is friendly and efficient. Quality of produce is great. Not a huge selection on produce but the quality is good. Prices are a bit higher than superstore but it's not superstore so it's worth it to me to shop here.

Bathroom can be nastier than you'd hope to see in a grocery store. Owned by behemoth corporation Loblaws (kings of the bread scandal) so expect produce at the same low quality as Superstore, but without the lower prices.

Today I was shopping and witnessed three shoppers maskless. It wasn't a case of staff not noticing. One maskless shopper was speaking to staff at the Customer counter, and another maskless shopper went through the checkout shortly after I did. I realize it may be uncomfortable to ask a Shopper to wear a mask, but it is necessary. I will start shopping elsewhere.

More than just a large grocer, John's has excellent customer service, great selection of fresh produce, in store bakery, so if you need those 4 dozen fresh hamburger buns, you can request them the night before. Great in-store specials and they price match most of the competition. My local grocer

Oh, it looks pretty but check the prices and not just the sale items. Just like at Thrifty's you are paying for the glitz. The same products are available elsewhere in the Valley and at a lower price. It's unfortunate that the prices are so high especially when the majority of the shoppers are seniors on a fixed income.

Often good for grocery shopping however they are sometimes poor at re-stocking. Bad experience on New year's eve when I bought brown bread without checking its date and it had blue mould all the way through. Unfortunately I hadn't kept the receipt!

Loblaw's chain grocery store with everything you need to stock up. Also selling organic foods, fresh seafood, kitchenwares, some minor electronics, pharmacy, and a small delicatessen. A bit pricier than the 'Superstore' BUT this location has easy parking, free shopping carts, and employees who really care about local service.

The reason I am giving the store three stars is due to the lack of local produce and dairy products etc., I feel that we are very fortunate here in the Comox Valley, with a great selection of cheeses, yoghurts and organic ice cream to name a few items. It would be nice to see more local fare at this store.

Often is unorganized, shelves are in dissaray, produce is the worst quality and the most expensive in the Valley. Recently picked up 3 avocados for dip and were all black inside! Had to throw out and take a trip to QF. Sorry other than milk I'll not shop here again.

Nightmare place to shop right now - especially if all you want is a quick sandwich! You collect the sandwich but have to walk through half the store to finally be allowed to pay for it! I know there are Covid restrictions, but this is simply ridiculous. Queuing system needs to be re-thought out.

It's nice to have something local and they seem to be making a better effort in their produce but their produce and butcher lag far behind thrifties. Cuts of meat are rough and sloppy. Greens are never sprayed enough and are always wilted. Everything else is pretty good. Their organic selection is decent.

As you enter the store , a high pressure sales person tries to have you sign up for a mastercard, the sales person follows you and continues to try and get you to sign up , even after you tell him NO three or four times. When you phone for the manager , you will be told he just went out but he could contact you. You might get to talk to him after you tell the customer service person,.. that you will not be shopping there any more until the credit card sales person is gone. The manager will tell you he will take care of the situation, I wonder how many customers John's will loose. They're not independent in the true meaning of the word , the manger has no control of store rules , I will not shop there again untill the sale of credit cards is over . i may not return at all

I used to like shopping here. The mini superstore as I put it. But the pricing does not match that at superstore what so ever. Pretty steep for only two small bags of items. Definitely won't be back the staff are all nice and the facility is in fine shape but yeah the pricing. If you can make a trip elsewhere I guess to save some money

Grocery store is great and I can utilize my PC points which is nice. Good selection of all the normal stuff but not as large of a store as some of the others in the area. This isn't a complaint however as the store is layed out nice and shelves always seem well stocked. The hot food area is a great place to grab lunch for a reasonable price. Chicken and sides are good and if that's not your thing they have sandwiches and some other items as well.
