Great customer service
The pharmacist who worked this Friday morning is not very professional. Every customer should be treated fairly, and not the pit of prejudice remarks that can be overheard by paying clients. After 7 years of my business here, I think its time to change pharmacies.
UPDATE: There's an extremely rude and arrogant pharmacist there named Paola Frengul. She seems new. She's the opposite of other employees that work at the Pharmacy. Being condescending with customers is not the way any customer wants to be treated. I've never been back since my bad experience with her. PAST: It's about time I spread the news about this JC! There is a cute, short and friendly cosmetician there that always smiles and brightens up my mood every time I come in. I've been to several JC's in my lifetime but have never felt so appreciated as I do in this one. That cosmetician finds a way to speak to you as if she's your friend and is always helpful whenever I have questions about my skin. Not sure of her name but she's short, flawless black complexion and friendly. I hope you hire more employees like her. The Monkland branch isn't as friendly in the cosmetics department, and always seem as if they are half asleep. As for the Pharmacy, there used to be a rude man there but I believe he left or changed JC's because I never see him anymore. The staff at the Pharmacy are always ready to help and always have an answer to my questions. All-in-all, great JC and I hope you win some kind of award for customer service!
Tiny and clean pharmacy with decent selection of bath products, snacks and other nick-knacks. Helpful and courteous staff as a bonus. Recently renovated too.
Was just there. I got a lipstick that was on sale for $5.99 but the cashier charged me the $9.59 if i remember it right. So i went back & told the cashier that a mistake was done She called a supervisor who is short and doesn't know good customer service. I told him i wanted to keep the item but instead he gave back the whole amount to me which is $11 something. He then went out to speak to a guy outside w/out saying anything. Told the cashier i told the guy i wanted to keep the item. He just continuously spoke to the guy he was with outside and asked me to wait. I just told the cashier forget it, i won't take it anymore. I was the customer he was talking to first and just left without saying anything coz even the cashier doesn't know what to do. I told that guy he doesnt have good customer service considering he is the "supervisor". I will be buying my stuff from pharmaprix from now on. Not pleased at all.
They helped me to by a present.
i have been going there for the last 6 years... 2 stars are for the staff on the floor, they alone deserve 5 stars.... It has to be the pandemic, but the pharmacists and technicians behind the counter in the back are asking some real ill-mannered questions. First time - I pick up medication for Rosacea. One pharmacist advised : "Don't go in the sun while using this". I replied I don't because of my Rosacea. She replies back: "Well you like someone that goes in the sun, you're red".... YEAH! I have rosacea!!! Second time - Pick up some antibiotics for a tooth infection. When having my pills handed over: "For which infection are these for?" I replied: "What do you mean for which infection?" I'll keep going but there's no caring and discretion. I'll be on my guard.
Disgusting service. They open late. Doctor tried to call in prescription was kept on hold 3 times 20 mins at a time. VERY long waiting periods. Completely inappropriate.
My regular pharmacy. Efficient. Helpful. Occasional great deals on assorted sundries & side items.
(Translated) This is a neighborhood pharmacy. The staff is always motivated to help the customer. The cashiers are polite. Even with this pandemic and despite the staff shortage caused by this shortage, customer service remains the number 1 concern of this establishment.
BAD management! small and messy pharmacy with horrible selección of products.
(Translated) The customer service at this pharmacy is simply exceptional! Rarely experienced. Personally with the manager, Mr. Switzman, on a file as banal, but essential, as simple toilet paper ... Let the other JC be inspired by it. Thank you again Mr. Switzman. Encore merci M. Switzman.
Excellent custumer service.
Good pharmacists. Odd but friendly cashiers.
They put on good specials.
(Translated) I have never been so badly served in my life by the pharmacist on duty. He even insulted his colleagues who had previously served me! What a lack of empathy and collegiality! What a bad attitude for a professional!
Friendly and very helpful service. Good selection of products at the usual pharmacy prices. Clean and organized location.
My pharmacy for many years.... Very professional....very accessible....
Has everything including Travel items. DVD's, Pet food, snacks, and of course. prescriptions. Travelling in town near NDG on Sherbrooke St. then you can swing by.
I really LOVE this place. The pharma staff are unbelievably compassionate and friendly, and have warmed my blackened heart on more than one occasion. The rest of the staff is great, as well, but they haven't had to put up with me crying (more than once). Even though this place is very small, somehow they always keep an eye on their inventory levels, so when something is on sale, they keep replenishing the stock and I have yet to miss out on anything. I think he is the manager, but there is a guy there with glasses and a beard (or the beginnings of one) who is one of the nicest people people I have ever met, and he always has his sleeves rolled up (metaphorically speaking), busy doing something in the store, yet always happy to help a customer with whatever. A+
Pharmacy to pick-up your meds as well as perfume & magazine with health concern...
Friendly staff Pharmacy is extremely attentive Thank you
OK
(Translated) Nice place next to my house. But the rigidity of one of their many pharmacists discouraged me. Things had to be complicated, and I was blamed for not picking up a prescription on time. In the middle of a pandemic while we are overwhelmed. Well done gang. And for a long time several clerks were hyper demotivated at the counter. Not to mention "bad" service here .... this is an establishment to be avoided. With the margins practiced by the field of pharmacy, we expect to be VERY well received. So I took out my account to go to Mr. Bertou's Proxim on Décarie. They do the delivery and try to help us instead of complicating things.
(Translated) Just fine (Original) Simplement bien
Must do a count of meds. I was shorted half of my prescription, paid for full, they fixed it but said you have to come back right away. Don't they audit their own med counts to measure discrepancies? Sort of serious error, IMO. After Covid-19 I found them incredibly helpful. I updated my rating to a 5. Before Covid-19 sort of agree with the poster below, you felt exhausted after leaving, and at times you get the feeling no one cares and then one person makes an extra effort and hooray. The store is so confusing the staff sometimes don't even know where things are. I asked where the toothpaste was and he said he was helping someone else at the moment, and I asked if he could just tell me what isle it was in and he said it was in isle 6 when it was actually in isle 2. It is a very slow store and they don't seem to care how long it takes for a person to find something or to fill a prescription completely. Another time I get a prescription filled on a Saturday, I was told it would be ready in an hour, I go there and someone at the pharmacy said they didn't have it in stock and they could phone Monkland then it turned out my prescription was actually ready after all at this store, though they didn't have enough in stock and said they would get the rest on Monday and they would phone me. Of course I had to pay for my full prescription even when it wasn't completed. I waited all day for their call on Monday. I phoned them and he said they would phone me back. On Tuesday I was phoned and was told it would be ordered from another supplier and it will arrive Wednesday morning since it had been back ordered, and I already had some, as if the uncertainty and inconvenience created by this shortage shouldn't have mattered to me. Then around Wednesday at 4:00 PM I go to collect the prescription and they ask if I had been phoned. Then they actually put ithe prescription together and they apologized for the wait.
Great customer service.
Friendly not fast... If you want to speak to a pharmacist give yourself 30-45 minutes you’ll need it.

This is a great Jean Coutu. The staff is great. The pharmacy and Pharmacist are helpful! Very patient and insightful answering questions and offering information. :)
Jean Coutu at 5815 Sherbrooke Street West in NDG. Young female staff member decided to follow me around a bit because I had a bag of groceries after shopping at Esposito, figuring me for a potential shoplifter. Came within a few inches of me. I don't need that, we're still in a pandemic. Won't be back.

It's just a jean coutu
Always patient, nice, efficient. Speedy service at prescription counter.
Staffs are wonderful and kind
Well stocked and always courteous and helpful staff and pharmacy counter Very clean.
Friendly staff
Extremely helpful staff, parking is annoying though.
pharmacists are very nice and helpful
(Translated) the service of the person in charge of the store is really disrespectful ...
Amazing experience with this pharmacy. I currently have the flu and they kindly suggested that they pick up my prescription and bring it back to my place. Shout out to Marie-eve in the pharmacy, along with the pharmacist who was working today, I sadly forgot her name. Thank you!!
For a pharmacy, the staff has always been friendly every time I’ve been there, the place is clean and you’ll find what you need. Edit: If I could give 6 stars I would. The manager just ran outside in the pouring rain to give a customer a purchase they forgot at the counter.
At check-out, the cashier asked-me if I wanted a bag for my numerous purchases, I answered yes and then she tells-me the bag cost 5 cents. It's not the nickel but the way they trap you into buying-it; If you tell her you don't want-it anymore, you're cheap! I don't think it's not the cashiers fault, she's probably forced by management to say-it that way since I've seen this exact technique used by Bureau en gros. They should simply say: Would you like a bag for 5 cents?
I always receive great customer service from the cashier who works on Saturday evenings! Great job!
(Translated) I picked up on March 1, 2021, medicine the day before an operation and the pharmacist who served me was terrible. The pharmacy is a short walk from my house, but since then I prefer to go somewhere else. He calls 2 or 3 names at the same time, (mine among others) and I stand in front of the counter alone and wave my hand and he looks at me from a distance and asks me with a confused look: what? (I don't know what he expects when he calls names at the counter people approach) I tell him my name and tell him that he just called me and he comes over and throws my 3 medicines on the counter (I mean THROW, because I don't see the need to throw them away with so much contempt, instead of placing them calmly on the counter) don't bother explaining to me and give me the medication description sheets. I pay and once again with a sort of disgust and bad humor, again throw the receipt on the counter over my description sheets and my meds, don't offer me a bag even though I had several things to carry and tell me something thing quickly quickly on one of my drugs while moving away that I did not understand because it was moving away. I ask him to repeat and FAR (therefore 0 confidentiality) repeat it to me, despite that, since he was no longer looking at me and had already started to do something else, I ended up not understanding . I work in customer service, so I understand when sometimes the employees are not always in a great mood or are tired, I only expect a minimum of respect, I buy what I need and I quit . The treatment of this pharmacist has made me feel disgusted, his contempt and disrespect for customers leaves a lot to be desired. I had to buy other things at the pharmacy for the follow-up of my operation and I would rather go away from home than go back.
It'a nice Jean Coutu as the staff are friendly and helpful. For being a major pharmacy, it tended to be compared to Pharmaprix, especially for this store, the one on Sherbrooke West street near Cavendish street. The price of the former is more competitive than the latter but the latter had more variety of products. Also, the aisles are tight which can be an issue if someone crosses the same aisle.
