For clarity, this review of Forbes Park Pharmacy does not reflect in any way on the Doctors, Nurses, or Staff of Forbes Park Medical, all of whom are lovely and very capable. This review is directed soley towards the Forbes Park Pharmacy in the same building.
I would not recommend this pharmacy to any patient who values their privacy.
While waiting for blood test by the capable and discrete Forbes Park Medical staff, I decided to go to the pharmacy for a flu shot. With 5-6 members on staff, it was chaotic. thre was a whole lot of, "You do it," "No, YOU do it" going on, before someone was actually assigned to give me the shot. Then, it got worse.
A staff member settled into the back corner of the pharmacy, typing into a laptop, while calling out questions to me over the din of other staff members talking and answering phone calls. It was more than a bit frenetic. The staff member kept calling out questions, asking me to shout back very personal details about contact info and medical history, for all to hear, including other patients.
It broke every possible rule regarding patient privacy, and could have been so easily managed had a staff member simply come up to the counter to ask me the questions privately. I bailed early in this process, entirely disgusted with it.
I would not recommend this pharmacy to any patient who has the slightest care for their personal privacy.
I would also recommend that people seek out other, more professional sites to get their flu shot.
