great place in brockville for buying veggies and anything fresh. The store is always clean, and it happens but its rare to find rotten fruit/veg on the shelf. the baked goods are great here, even the day olds. the prices on packaged food are higher for no reason, go to wallmart or food basics for canned/packaged food. be careful which cashier you get, because some of them are truly done with their job and they behave like it. throwing things down the line, bouncing beers down the conveyor belt, squeezing baked goods etc. There is a large heavy set older man, and an unattractive overweight middle age woman with blond hair and a scowl on her face those two are worth avoiding. There is a pharmacist who is pretty judgmental, but I just go to shoppers now whenever I need something in that area. everyone else in the store has been great!

It's large, especially for the size of Brockville. There is a lot of selection, staff are nice and sale prices are good. The regular prices are steep but this is a much needed grocery store in Brockville. There is a Wine Shop inside. The price match so get the Flipp App to compare prices.

I would always grab a shopping cart when I came to the store, and buy more then what I came in for. Now that you have carts that need token, if I do come in I get just what I can carry. Or I go to Walmart. I don't think this cart deal was thought out, when you have a Walmart Super store next door. I also can find the same items at Walmart cheaper

Horrible customer from the hot Deli employee I went in for a quick lunch from the start this particular employee made me feel as if I was an inconvenience for even asking for service this is not the first time this employee has done that To me no customer should ever feel that way when spending your hard-earned cash especially not for food the employees demeanor was cold rude and this should not be tolerated by any customer! I was very specific with my order and the employee completely disregarded my request I took the food as I was still hungry and needed to eat right away but feel the need to write this review afterwards as I do not think this organization tolerate this type of behavior to its customer I could be wrong we will see. There's definitely a lot more information about this incident than I would have loved to add but it's too much to typing.

Has everything we usually need except carts that only require 25¢... This place requires you use a $1 to 'rent' a cart. We tend to due the bulk of our shopping elsewhere as we rarely have change in our pocket as we use debit. Our last visit was also unpleasant as the woman at the checkout was rude, barked at us asking 'do you want the daily deal!?' and seemed frustrated and annoyed when we asked what she was talking about! She also stopped serving us in the middle of ringing through our items to interrupt the cashier one isle over when she thought she heard her say something wrong. VERY rude employee. Needs retraining at the very least. We prefer to go to Walmart just down the block. Free carts, better prices (most days) and no attitude at checkout.

Vegetables never last, not fresh most of the time. I have complained, but it looks like Brockville is the last on the delivery chains. Also this buy 2 for discount is UNFAIR for SENIORS that just cannot consume excess purchases. Why not give Seniors a Senior card to get the price benefit that families get instead of calling the manager every time to get the better price. Frankly this would be a better way to save Manager time.

I just came back from trying to buy two ice-cream products only to find out that they made every customer line up in one line to cash out. I was in front of the self check out and was told that I had to line up in the long line. Needless to say I did not stay, but gave it to customer service and left totally frustrated and disgusted. My husband and I went there before masks became mandatory and we only lined up behind each individual cashier. Now we seem to go backwards as mask become mandatory and we line up like cattle. Nobody else seems to be playing this game. Not planning on returning until they decide to get back to the real world!

The cart thing is a bit of a pain. I always put my cart back and usually straightened things up a bit while doing so. Likely the day I go to get a cart and I don't have a loonie will be the last day I shop there. Never heard about the token thing. Once again, someone likely lost their job or gets reduced hours as we do the work. Some prices are good, but I find you do have to watch best before dates, many items are near expiry. They lack variety, limited cuts of meat, lots of one item but not all varieties. Seem to carry only the most popular of items, so if you want something different, go somewhere else, but be warned, walmart is the same :( The staff is great.

Self Checkouts kill jobs they say. If I wanted to bag my own groceries I would have used self check out. We used to use this grocery store weekly but stopped because they basically toss bags at you and sit and wait while you do it yourself.

Not the way I would run a buisness, poor produce. They keep reducing selection of grocery items, a lot of brands not stocked, sales are poor, you have to buy multiple items to get a sale price, not good for seniors and small families, meals ready to eat are extremely expensive compared to other grocery stores.

Convenient location but always busy. I find their prices on some items a little higher than other stores. I had a problem one time where their debit machines all went down and every cash register forcing you to remove cash from their ATM with a $3.10 service fee attached to it. There is beer and liquor available in this location along with clothes cookware Pharmacy Etc. I definitely only visit the store for necessities and quick visits. There is also a smoke shop attached to this location. There was also another occasion where they had 50 20% off stickers on items and they didn't honour them, I had to review my bill after the fact once I got home I think I lost six or seven dollars.

If you compare this store to others, say the independent in Carleton Place or Kemptville, I'd say both the selection and quality fresh food is far inferior at the Brockville store. It just seems the focus is on merchandise other than fresh food. I'd recommend metro if you're looking for quality vegetables and fruit, the Butcher Shoppe for meat, and drive to Ottawa for fish.

Gave the raincheck.. th whole time chatting back and forth with a customer a few tills away about their plans that night and where they were going to go drinking and til what time. Everything was fine. EXCEPT the cashier had the worse cold, hacking and coughing on all the items I bought. Everybody else's items also were being contaminated by this sick person at the cash. Management should not have let her work or forced her to work because they were short on staff. Just what I want for Christmas & New Years a bloody cold from Superstore. Thanks a lot for the great parting gift. Let sick people stay at home.

Staff is immediately available to assist you in whatever you need. Their vast array of food items makes it easy to keep your cupboards at home well stocked. They also carry non-food items, however, because I use a walker, I have yet to make it to that side of the store. They have an elevator for people who are not able to use the stairs for times when the downstairs washroom is occupied.

Nice to go to the Superstore in Brockville as opposed to always going to Independent Grocer in Prescott. Superstore's prices are a bit more reasonable and they have a better selection. Huge aisles so it's not crowded. Good sales. The loyalty program is so worth joining. I usually end up using some of my points every few weeks, which is nice. Lots of parking and large entrance. You now need to pay to use the carts (which you obviously get back once you return it). Staff is usually friendly and welcoming.

Very disappointed to see the carts with coins. The cart station are no where near the disability and family parking and make it a chore to retrieve the coin. Walmart still packs bags and offers online service and brings your groceries to your car for three dollars. Is it wise to make this move. It will mean less shopping for me.

Update, Feb 28. Went to early to pick up their family sushi special for lunch hoping to get before sold out. When asked if they had any the sushi lady barked back she was too busy with special order and come back later in day. Wow! Lost stars on this. They have Cashiers!!???????? Unlike Wal-mart next door who turfed their cashiers for self checkout, friendly cashiers waiting to smile and serve us. On weekends when I shop all lanes are open!! Woo hoo. I haven't switched all my shopping to here but i will gladly pay a few cents more to have a cashier check me out! Gave 4 stars not 5 as the shelf stockers blocked me a few times with their skids and lifts in produce.

Roast beef and steaks on special are usually very poor quality. I bought a 5 lbs prime rib roast for Thanksgiving and we had to trow away more than half of it. It was full of fat and grissly. Bought steaks that didn't look too bad then got home unwrapped it to find out the hidden side is again all fat with connective tissue. Very disappointing. ????

They used to force coin carts before covid. Often clogged laneways make it harder to shop with cart. Bananas will be green forever here!!!! I believe management installed a machine to eat a bit of your soul just for supporting them.

Poor customer service!! Sunday March 26. 2:30 pm I myself am in customer service and understand customer relations. Apparently today's manager does not. Please read on. (Sorry for the length of it, skip to the bottom for my recommendation) The store has recently switched to shopping carts that are locked together, requiring a loonie to unlock. Not having change in my pocket. I proceeded to do my shopping with a hand basket. Limiting what I got. On the way out I stopped at "customer service" to make a friendly suggestion, and as I was speaking with the nice lady behind the counter, the manager came by. I recommended to the manager that they install a change machine near the shopping carts. The manager was the least receptive "customer service" person I have ever delt with ! ! He was more interested in telling me all the costs for the new carts, the problem with all the old carts, the theft of shopping carts ( was he implying that I would steal a cart !?), telling me that they were the "largest retailer in canada", yada, yada, yada... I really wasent concerned with the reasons but I did agree with him that I understood the the thought process to switching to the new carts. He did not take my suggestion graciously, he disregarded it, he was argumentative, and his demenior appeared rude as if I was pestering him... ..all I was trying to do was make a suggestion to help him help his clients. There was apparently no interest in my friendly recommendation. He was more concerned with justifying his position than openly taking constructive feedback back from one of his clients. I went and finished my shopping at Walmart. Which is right next door to "the super store". You should do the same.

Very upset as a regular shopper at the superstore that the only way they would give you a token for the carts was to make you donate two dollars to their charity. They gave them away the first week. Customer service in this store has always been terrible and when asked if they would rather you shop elsewhere the response back is suit yourself. Metro is a great store with much better customer service, and Prescott has a great grocery store as well. I will be contacting head office regarding this incident. I always donated to their charity, I no longer will, and at every opportunity take my business elsewhere.

The store shelves are not as full as they should be. My understanding is that they are about to renovate and expand the grocery area and specifically the ethnic food section. Prices are good and depending on the day and time, you can get through cash pretty quickly.

Also, Canadian. No Betty bread or sealtest milk though. Nobody’s perfect.

My main place to shop for groceries in Brockville. The staff are helpful, there are good sales & clearances, there is good product selection, everything is well organized. I particularly like buying the PC (President's Choice) brand of products as it offers quality for a good price. Within that product range there is an organic product line (PC Organics) as well as a low-cal line (PC Blue Menu) besides the regular PC products. More recently I've been enjoying the PC Optimum points benefits. The shopping carts are also large enough to hold enough groceries for an average family, but there is a smaller cart size for fewer groceries.

Very very disappointed...our 2nd family cooking class was last night with autism Ontario.. We so very much enjoyed the first it was an excellent event that we attended again instead of our Christmas banquet. Yesterday though you overbooked ...you booked a birthday party in the cooking class room and sent our group of 10 children(obviously some with autism ) and 5 adults to a break room 1/4 of the size of the cooking class room...with no sink and no room for each of us to sit...not even 1 chair per person and only 2 small tables and was not planned or structured at all ...all children and adults are to be able to make their meal..the space only allowed maybe 4 or 5 at a time to participate...this created meltdowns...some children had to leave...some went and sat in theif cars because this waa not how it was supposed to be...we are very disappointed and did not enjoy our evening at all ...left having to go feed our family of 6 as soon as we got home at 7pm..you should really make this right and invite them all back again in the right room with chef Michael and show them what a proper family cooking class experience ! We will be contacting autism ontario to enaure they get a refund. And will be contacting supervisory staff at your location to fix this as well...

Checkout was absolutely insane, such a long wait. Cashier got upset that items were put on the belt... made us take them off but did not sanitize.. less then 20 secs later we were allowed to put the items back on the belt? Made absolutely no sense.

I went shopping today at around 3 pm. Most staff are still very nice, but a few don't take the "wearing a mask" to seriously. Also there is no social distancing unless you stay in front of the checkout. The female dark haired older cashier they sent us to, (lane 6 or 7)did not wear a mask and was extremely unfriendly, telling me what not to do. The whole time she had it out for me.There is no consistency in the store and then you get someone with no mask on, to tell you about rules. In this hard times friendlyness and a little compassion and understanding goes a long way. If my husband wouldn't have been with me, I would have left my 400$ of groceries , because by then I had a hard time breathing and tried to calm myself down again.

The Pharmacy has no idea what customer service is all about. Rx went in Friday. Told me it would be ready between 5-6pm. Go to pick it up Sunday morning. I was told they only had one bottle in stock and they gave it to someone else. They would order me one right then and there and it would be in on Monday. I tranferred the Rx.
