Called into shoppers at 9:30 am to order an emergency prescription. By 3 p.m. the staff at the pharmacy still did not fill the prescription. The person who took the initial call clearly did not do their work...ended up insisting that staff call to fill prescription. Unbelievable that a pharmacy can be this unorganized and dysfunctional taking 5 hours to fill a prescription. Was told by April to wait...Ended up waiting till 3:17 without any service yet again!!!! One would hope that employed people would value their work!!! Were told to come back at 4 p.m. and by 4:20 p.m. we were still waiting! I think this location set a new world record for the longest wait time for prescriptions.... 7 hours.....whoo-hooo.. you call that Shoppers service!!! I would strongly advise those who need prescriptions filled....run....run far away. Go to I.D.A instead.

Horribly slow pharmacy. My doctor faxed my prescription over more than 4 hours before I arrived for pick up and was still asked to wait 25-30 minutes to get my prescription. This has happened every single time over the past year or two. I will definitely be switching pharmacies after this last time. Definitely not worth the high dispensing fees.

EDIT: Thanks shoppers for your generic copy-paste response. If you actually read my review you would perhaps want to speak with me. Oh well, hopefully someone will actually follow up with me and some of the other negative reviewers and address concerns with this store. There's a reason this store has a low rating. There was a 60% off sale on lindt chocolates (all varieties as per sign) and we picked up two bags, one milk chocolate (red bag) and one mix bag (silver bag). One of the bags (milk chocolate-red bag) scanned incorrectly. The cashier argued with us saying that the price was because it was a special variety which it wasn't. When she continued to argue, we requested the scanner code of practice (see photo). The cashier called her manager on the phone and spoke with her for a minute, then proceeded to tell us we had to come back in the next day because the product was already at a discounted price. We disputed this, and the cashier called her manager from her office. When the manager arrived, she said we had to call the store the next day because she doesn't have the authority to do the scanning code of practice. She gave us the correct price for the chocolate but we will be calling tomorrow. Throughout this entire interaction, the cashier was dramatically huffing and eye rolling, and the manager was no better. In addition, I counted six staff members working (three of which were high school age fooling around in the aisles, nearlywalking into me) yet there was only the one person working cash. Even during our interaction, where a line of four people piled up, there was no call for another cashier. Absolutely awful customer service and no common courtesy.

My husband had pneumonia this winter after having had a shot 5 years ago. Our Doctor prescribed the latest injectable for him and the first pharmacist said he was to come back after he was 100 percent better and the medication would 100 percent covered by AHS as it was considered to be a booster shot. We waited in line a long time while the pharmacist socialized with a customer ahead of as at the prescription drop off. Then when we finally got to the little room off to the side for the injection she informs us we had to pay for her to administer the injection and pay for our share not covered by our health benefits. We tried to explain what had been told to us a few months ago and she became very passive aggressive and stated she was trying to help. What! By taking our money.. we are a couple of seniors on a limited budget. No injection... No way we would go back to these rude inconsiderate people.

Brought in a one month prescription for my son. They insisted on breaking it into FOUR 'weeks worth' prescriptions so i would have to pay the $12 dispensing fee 4 times on one prescription. To make things worse - when it was time to get his 2nd refill - they don't even have it in stock!! Making an unnecessary detrimental break in his dosing. TERRIBLE

For some reason in 2018 they kept showing us as being insured by the Ontario Trillium Program. We are not as we do not pay for enough meds, nor are we 65, we asked it be removed from our accounts (both mine and my husbands). Skip forward to last week (Thursday Dec 12, 2019) my husband called in for his BP meds to be told he could only pick up the 10 owing as his insurance would not cover the next cycle of 90 for another 10 days, he told the girl on the phone we have no insurance and we pay for our own. (It's been removed from my account but apparently never removed off my husbands) On Friday Dec 13 he picked up his meds when I got home later that day I noticed he had been charged 2 dispensing fee's of 11.99. I called wanting to know why, no manager was available and the young man on the phone gave me several different explanations neither of which were true esp the one in which he said they called my dr to refill, I know thats a blatant lie and I said that because my dr does not do this we have to physically attend her office with our bottles in order to get new scripts filled, he also said its because we are insured under the Trillium benefit which I also refuted, he told me I was being abusive and that I was yelling which I was not, I have a loud voice and the phone was away from my mouth by quite a distance and it was on speaker. I told him we were not under Trillium and had asked a year ago for that to be removed from our accounts and asked why that had not been done and why I was being expected to pay a dispensing fee on 10 pills they failed to give my husband from the previous cycle.....it was a go round because again he said you are insured by Trillium again I said we weren't and I also stated when my husband called he clearly told the girl we had no insurance, he told me that was not the case, it was because I was right there when my husband called, even my husband tried to tell him this. We asked to speak with a manager more then once and we were denied this request, I again said I want to speak with a manager I want a call back or I will be taking our business elsewhere to which he replied well then you don't need to speak with a manager. It is now Dec 16 and no call back from a manager. We will be taking our business else where. We have to date ignored the rude service behind the counter 2 days prior to this my husband and I picked up our meds he had been given the wrong script and of course it was not noticed until we got home so we sucked up that cost, the girl behind the counter was less then pleasant. We'd also noticed that every time my husband was put on a new medication no pharmacy consult was ever done,this seemed odd as any other Shopper's Drug Mart we've used across Ontario, (we lived all over Ontario and whenever possible always used Shoppers) always did consults for new drugs. So many things seemed off. Being a retired nurse I know my drugs so I wasn't overly concerned BUT how many other people don't have this knowledge and don't know what to bad side effects to watch for. But this last episode and being talked down to like I was a moron and being told I was being abusive because I caught them in a lie and questioned what was going on and being double charged for dispensing fee's is enough for us I will not tolerate this beyond rude customer service and being over charged for something that was their fault not ours but being told it was our fault, not to mention not being allowed to speak with a manager!!!!!! FOLLOWED UP with the number provided below, didn't expect much and again nothing was done and Eric Sullivan owner pharmacist, told the Head Office I was abusive, I was in no way abusive and I told this the customer service rep at head office, I spoke to her in the same tone and volume and asked her if she felt I was yelling she responded "no" I"ve taken my business elsewhere and will not ever step foot in this location and will tell others of my horrible experience

I don't mind waiting for a prescription but when they say 30 minutes, I come back and am told it wasn't put through but "the manager is working on it". Cut to another 40 minutes later "sorry it's was in the wrong spot getting to it now" and finally another 30 minutes later I get my prescription. Didn't know they had to hand craft my 12 vitamin pills. Friendly employees but horrendous errors on the back end. Can't imagine how someone that needed insulin or something important would feel

This pharmacy is a joke. Poorly managed, and they have no customer service ability. Imagine not being able to speak like you're talking to another human being. I put in a refill request online on December 21st, 2021 (before holidays), and came in for my appointment that I needed it for (January 4, 2022), and they lied to my face about my doctor not getting back to them meanwhile they didn't send anything. Not only that, but as I went back to tell them, I was then told that the order was coming LATER TODAY. Ridiculous. This place is a joke and Shoppers should not include a pharmacy. Stick to one thing and try to get that down first.

The pharmacy there is terrible, the girls at the front are nice, but the service has not been, ive batteled with them every week for 2 months now and then when I called a week ago to get the medication I absolutely needed for Friday, I called before I went to grab It this week, as it’s always an issue and they said they won’t have it by the time I needed it, I’m guessing they just didn’t fill It in time, also the wait times are ridiculously any time of the day, whether you call or go pick up.

I paid for the outbound travel covid test through Lifelabs and I tried to book an appointment online with this location for the testing. I designated a date 8 days in the future and was told via email that I would receive a call from the pharmacy to confirm the time. I waited and never received a call. I tried many times to call the pharmacy and no one ever picked up. I tried calling many times over a few days and spent hours trying. During my testing window and during the original appointed time I had requested, I walked into the pharmacy to let them know I had a confirmation number from them and needed the test done ASAP as I only have a 24 hour window for testing for the flight. The pharmacist was very cold and told me that they were caught up to date on calls and they were fully booked for tests. I could not afford to wait any longer and I tried to tell her that I had been attempting to contact them and I did have a Shoppers confirmation number for an appointment that day. She wouldn't even check the status with my information or reference number. She just told me, "Try somewhere else". I told her I had been attempting to call and she said, "We pick up when we can". She was not interested at all in providing any solutions or helping me to investigate. I was flying out because a close relative has fallen ill and passed. I was already having a really stressful time trying to get all my documents and testing in order for this last minute trip and I couldn't help but feel frustrated and cry. As soon as I started tearing up, another pharmacist shouted, "Why are you stressed? Stop crying. Wave your hand in the air when you're done crying cause we can't talk to you like this". Both women were very unkind and I felt so awful being in the place. Eventually, someone came and told me they could fit me in and I was "very lucky" they had a pharmacist on site who could do it. I would not return to this pharmacy again for any service in the future. I heard them also dismissing other customers looking for prescriptions or vaccinations in a very rude way and others looked shocked as well.

I fell ill at the check out one time and they went beyond the call of duty in doing what they could for me! They gave me bottled water and told asked me if there was anything they could do for me? I have been a loyal customer of theirs for a long time and always will be! For people who have experienced it differently , there must be a good reason why and not a fault of Shoppers Drug Mart! I stand by Shoppers! If the store was that bad why are there only a few bad reviews? I'm not going to let these few reviews change what I think about Shopper's drug Mart! I have never experienced more poor customer service and lack of care than at this Shoppers Drug mart pharmacy staff. We transferred here because we were new to the area and let’s just say I’m going back to my old store. The female pharmacist that I have dealt with is rude, not helpful and doesn’t provide proper indication of what’s happening or why. Her assistant is clearly not trained very well in customer service and provides no solutions to problems that we were facing. This is the third time that I have called and requested my medication to be filled, advised it would be ready,only to be told that they don’t have it and that I now have to pay because the only thing they have is a brand name. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. Luckily I’m an able bodied person and have the ability to switch stores, but not everyone has hat ability. Be very cautious of making this location your pharmacy. It’s a joke. The front store and cosmetics areas are lovely and I have never had a problem in there.

We called in advance to get advice from the pharmacist so that we could do a targeted shop. Amid public health advice to continue physical distancing, I'm pretty disappointed that the pharmacist refused to help us unless we came into the store. We explained that because of COVID, we wanted to limit our time in-store. They just said "no." We've called other pharmacists in the city for quick advice and they've always obliged. I understand that the stress of the pandemic has manifested in different ways for different people but I was taken aback by the rudeness and indifference in my most recent interaction with this store.

Dropped off a prescription before 10am today… was too sick to stay and wait so I asked if it could be delivered. Clerk said not a problem - it would be delivered later today. Well - it’s 9pm and no delivery. This is not the first time this has happened, either. I often call in my refills and most of the time, they aren’t ready when I arrive, even after receiving a message that they have been filled. This pharmacy has gone downhill significantly in the last two years - it’s definitely time to look for another pharmacy.

Staff are friendly and polite. I went here to take my son's passport picture and the manager was very patient, nice and friendly while he took my son's pictures. It is always challenging to take photos of a 5 years old because we usually smile when we take a picture, but he may not smile, he needs to stand up straight, and he may not move for a while for a passport photo. Unfortunately, the Passport Program rejected my son's photos because we could see a little bit of his teeth on the photos, so the manager took my son's photos again free of charge. I thought that I had to pay, but I was told free of charge to retake the passport photo. I really appreciate this kind of service!

I have yet to have a good customer service experience at the pharmacy and I've attended 5-6 times. It's not been terrible, but its just never been good. The Shoppers cashiers at the front, though are great. :) I've switched back to Shoppers on Fairway in Kitchener for as much as I can. 1) If a customer has a question, rather than saying 'I have no clue, sorry.' about a pharmacy-related product, go find someone who does or take my number so you can ask the main pharmacist. There is no excuse not to help as best you can. 2) It is apparently company policy to charge $15 to fax a refill request to a doctor so I went to another Shoppers that doesn't charge only to find out today, you've faxed the request anyway even though I declined? I already have my prescription now. 3) If I want to add to a pharmacy order for a product, don't expect customers to tell you their credit card numbers over the phone - it makes you feel like you don't trust us and I don't give out my number readily. I go to Shoppers in Kitchener now for insulin pump supplies - they call you ahead of time to let you know when 20x the points days are so you can order. You pay when you pick up your order. WOW!! It's the best service ever. We'll die without insulin. Trust me, when I order something, I'll pick it up and spend the money. 4) If I have waited 30 mins or more in store to have a prescription filled and you're busy don't worry I get it - you're busy. I work too so I totally get it, but maybe apologize, or give me an update when I politely hand in the buzzer and tell you I'll come back tomorrow. The point is it's these little things that make a huge difference and engender loyalty. Good luck with things.

While standing in line to pay for my items, I sneezed and needed a tissue immediately! I spotted some small packs of tissue by a closed register so I covered my nose with my hand and left the lineup. As I approached the counter, I noticed a female employee busy with something under the counter, I picked up a pack and I attempted to open it with one hand. The employee told me I can't open it until its paid for! I moved my hand away to show the mess and she stated " you still have to wait!" So I responded with "u do see my face right?" She responded with all items must be paid for before opening! Needless to say I lost it!... I won't name her directly since I'm in a small town but she was the asst.Manager at the time. I did call to complain and I'm surprised that I never even received an appoligy from her!

I am not satisfied with the pharmacy service. The thing is my wife was prescribed some medicine by family physician. She received it on May 24th, 2021, paid in full 194$, upon arriving home she took just one pill as it was directed. In a few hours she started developing side effects (nausea, vomiting, dizziness, nose bleeding). The next day, on May 25, 2021 she came back to the pharmacy with the request to return this medicine due to these complications but she was refused in a full refund. The pharmacist said, that based on the pharmacy policy they can't make any refunds if medicine left the Pharmacy facility, because it is unknown where this medicine was and how it was kept. That is kinda wierd for me, it has just passed one day since the moment it was received, it was kept in the fridge. So, I am totally blown away with this situation. Potential customers, just be aware, when you got any medicine from there just immediately take it, to figure out if you don't develop any side effects.

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I drove in from Whitney to find a piece of paper on the door saying the hours are 8-8pm now. There's never anyone in this store to assist you even when it is open. Anytime I have ever been in this store, I have to check myself out and then the speaker says "how did we do today?" I always laugh when I hear it and think that I have to shop by myself, carry my own items, cash myself out with no staff around. Horrible is my answer.

This used to be my favourite Shoppers but I have noticed a decreasing level of quality and care in the place lately. Today was bad!!! The entrance - the baskets were all jammed together. I tried pulling them apart. Didn't want to break something. The cosmetics counter girl was helpful and she pulled one apart for me, put it on the ground and said "now you can sanitize it" ok. So I looked at the sanitization stand. Wow.(see pic below) I sprayed it and went shopping. All was ok till I got to the dairy section and found some cheese that was all moldy. Then went to the self check out. Scanned my cheese, different format, and it too was moldy. I suggest a check of the refrigeration system in the whole building because this product was due to expire in Jan 2021 so should not have any growth. Sadly, this store is heading downhill right when we need to be more care filled and vigilant. I am now going to avoid it.

This used to be one of the better Shoppers' location in town, but is now one of the not-so-better locations. The main issue is that the store is almost always horribly understaffed. Check-out lines are long (even the self check-outs), and the postal centre is always backed up. As good as the store's selection is, the fact that it takes forever in this store even when you only go in for one thing is what really lowers the experience for everyone.

This location has lost my entire family as customers and clients. There is an older female security guard there that stalks you around the store no matter how often you shop there. My fiance even caught her hiding behind a shelving unit like a creeper watching me as I was looking at hair dye. The male security guard also follows us around the store and stands beside us and watches us as we pay for our purchases. We spend approximately $200 (or more) a month there (not including prescriptions for a family of 5) and these to security tarts treat us like potential criminals and we have NEVER posed a threat or concern to anyone...all of the night time staff know us and usually strike up a conversation with us. We shop there at night because of our work schedules. Speaking of work, I go there in my work uniform, they have me on camera, name tag and all...so what threat do we pose? This self centered rent-a-cop in his too tight bullet proof vest he is always tugging on, asked my fiance to leave his backpack at the counter, which he politely agreed to, and the pop tart saw my fiances small knife he carries to protect us during our late night visits to Shoppers and called the police...all the staff came back from their break and then all ended up outside...AWESOME WAY TO TREAT YOUR REGULARS AND FOR STICKING UP FOR YOUR REGULARS...yep, a complaint will be filed against you all!!!! We were stopped by 6 Barrie Police cruisers with 1 - 2 cops per vehicle (over kill) and an officer would not stop coming at me even though I told him I was afraid of him and to stop...then when I called 911 in an absolute panic asking for a female officer, I was refused and told there were none available...all this so I could grab laundry soap and sandwich bags. NEVER will i go there again! NEVER! I experienced a horrifying night surrounded by way too many male cops (and I have a fear of men)! Definitely the WORST experience ever...and I have already had a bad night at work after a drug addict spit on the floor. :(

The people that work at this location do absolutely nothing to help their customers and treat their customers like criminals. I recently purchased my prescription of heart meds from this location and the pharmacist tried telling me that missing 3 days of meds is ok and wouldn't hurt me 1 bit. I ended up in the hospital for extremely high blood pressure 175 over 115, only to discover from the doctors that i could have died because i didn't take my heart meds for 3 consecutive days and was close to having a heart attack. I suggest no use this location to get medicine of any kind what so ever

Just moved here from Halifax. Needed a prescription filled, and do not have a doctor yet. It's not an emergency, but i have been on it for 7 years...so yes I need a refill. Big fan of Shoppers...always. Not looking for a narcotic, painkiller, antidepressant, or antibiotic. My Dr. in Halifax suggested I go in and talk to the pharmacist. NS policy will not allow them to send prescriptions out of province, and I didn't know that. The lady at the counter was not friendly or understanding, and at 1st said no. I questioned her, and she talked to the pharmacist. They reluctantly contacted shoppers in Halifax, who sent my refill schedule...but it only said 4 refills in last year...which would sound right as they would give me 3 months at a time. They took it to mean only 4 months of prescription...I think. Anyhow, I was told to go to Maple and get the prescription. I went on there...and it's a min. of $100 to be a member. I am sure she knew that when she sent me away. I never complain, and went to the same shoppers for 9 years in Halifax. They knew me there...and were always ready to help. So I am very disappointed in how I was treated and will go elsewhere with my prescriptions. Thankfully I am on a meet and greet with a new Dr. the 1st of Nov. here.

Possibly one of the greatest attractions within Canmore. This Shoppers Drug Mart is truly unlike any other. Friends were made, first loves were had, followed by an excruciating first heartbreak. This establishment is the epitome of life itself. All of my best memories are set in this Shoppers Drug Mart location in Canmore. I didn't much care for all the hiking and whatnot. The weird bagel place was okay, and I bought an extraordinary guitar from a rooster farm or something but by far the most life altering experience was fabricated within the four god inspired walls of the Canmore Shoppers Drug Mart. I have never felt such inner peace, and I would like to thank every single employee for making our experience so magical. Disney doesn't even compare, and should give up the tagline of "Happiest place on Earth," as it pales in contrast to the elation that the Canmore Shoppers Drug mart brings to myself and my loved ones. Thank you, truly.

WORST PHARMACY EXPERIENCE SERVICE EVER! I went to this pharmacy for a prescription A DAY BEFORE picking it up. When I went the next day, they didn’t have it ready, and told me that I had to be patient and wait, because they still have to prepare it! How is it not ready if I dropped it off a day before? They’re also rude on the phone. I simply called to ask if I can return a product that I bought from another location, and they said No. So I called head office to confirm, and they said yes, so I contacted the store again and asked to speak to the manager, and she said yes, but I need a hard copy of the receipt, and I said that I ALWAYS get e-receipts via email, and she said “do you? Okay then”. What the hell? Do you not know your refund policy?

Today I visited Shoppers Drug Mart in Canmore and I was not satisfied. When I came, the lady who is doing in the perfume section and the cosmetics asked what I'm looking for, so I told her I will just look around and the fact that I was actually waiting to open the bank . When I tried a tester of facial cream, the same lady crossed me from behind, asking, "What cosmetics do you use?" And if I know it's not good to put a cream on the face because it's dust outside and also the cream on my face is badly grease. Please, could you send this lady for a course how to talk to a customers? The lady seem to doesn't know the difference between the help and the harassment of the customer. If the customer promptly answers the question that he does not need help, there is no reason for the customer to persecute. A very unpleasant experience that discourages me from buying something from this drug store in the future.

Two horrible experiences with the pharmacy. 1st my wife called to get a refill and they would refuse to do it because they messed up their own label and they were saying she was only due for a refill in a month. Took about an hour to fix their mistake. Another yesterday, my wife called again at 1pm to get a refill ready for 4pm. Get there, they say it's not ready and they had put it for the next day, then said they would do it right away and they would call her name, about 5-10mins. 25 mins later she goes to see if it's ready and they said not yet, then she went to look for her paper, couldn't find it... Turns out it had been ready for god knows how long next to the "pick-up" cash register. Serious lack of communication from everyone there. Good place to buy eggs though, that's about it.

Was there because my child needed to get tested for school and I am so grateful this was the first time, but asking questions was as if I was bothering the assistant or what ever she thinks she was. The place to go for shopping is Saveon Foods Canmore prices are more reasonable, I found everything 2, 3 of 10 dollars more expensive that other places. . Example: Today I wanted to buy an eyeliner from Stilla which in shoppers Canmore location is 30 dollars, you can find the same one in Sephora or other locations in 22 dollars.( my advice just dont shop your make in Canmore it is ridiculous). I went here the other day to go about purchasing some perfume, as I was testing it since people in my household have scent allergies and I would like to see if it smells nice like anybody else would do before purchasing. I was told I wasent allowed to test them very rudely. I refuse to purchase perfume without smelling it first. I left after she told me that I could not test them. I was not pleased and I spent my money elsewhere where I could test the perfume and the sales people were a lot more friendly.

The staff from are always extremely helpful, I have had no issues with returns or exchanges as long as you have your receipt all is good. Any time I have asked for assistance if finding a product someone has either located it for me or gone in the back to see if they have any left, always with a smile and a your welcome. A couple of times I was shopping close to closing not realizing it and instead of rushing me and being rude as I have encountered elsewhere the staff just reminded me and asked in a courteous way that I finish up, even helping me find my last few items.

Went to the store in Bathurst NB on St Peters and tried to buy some tresemme products on sale as per flyer. When ringing our items through there was no sale honoured. The manager was condescending and rude and said the volume for the sale product (only shampoo) was indicated on the store sign which was not true it was a range of volumes and a sale for "selected products" with several products on display below the huge sign saying SALE. If that is not false advertising why don't we all just empty our pockets for this greedy company who treats us like idiots. The pharmacist was sharp....he flagged the allergy, contacted my GP and even got the prescription changed. The concern he showed for my well-being just blew me away. This pharmacy provides a level of service that is just amazing. Quite a few times I’ve been stuck in an emergency situation and they’ve kindly offered to help me out, just until I could get in to see my doctor. My greatest experience though was one time, I was stuck at home without a car and needed some medication urgently. There was no delivery service that day and I thought I was stuck, when like magic a half hour later the OWNER shows up at my door with my medicine. I have never experienced anything like that from any store. Like imagine if you ordered something from Amazon and Jeff Bezos shows up to hand deliver it; doesn’t happen right? Except here it does. The staff is great too, they all know me and my family by name and take time to greet us even if we’re not there for medicine; makes me feel like a real person, like I mean more to them than just money. I absolutely love this Shoppers I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Had a sale sticker up for a shaver. When it rung up it was 20 dollars more. I was shocked that they wouldn't honour the price they advertised. I talked to three different people and they all had similar but different stories as to why they wouldn't do it. I asked to take a picture of the sale sticker. They refused which makes me more suspicious. I left because the last thing I need to do is lose my cool with some old ladies. But needless to say I think this store has a real issue with ethics. If you advertise it, you honour it. Its not hard. I won't be back

When I looked at the receipt while in my car I realized I was $0.37 short due to senior discount I completely forgot about. I went back in and added a chocolate bar. I’m rating this pharmacy a zero!!!!! I had done everything that was required to have my pain medications transferred from Olds (also rating a zero) to Canmore so they could be picked up yesterday. As we were camping in Kananaskis & my refill/pick up date was yesterday. I’ve been taking same pain medications for years. I suffer from chronic back/hip pain My husband was unable to make the trip to Canmore shoppers yesterday. Today we arrived in Canmore.. my pain level is extreme. Hubby rushed into shoppers to pick up my meds. Unfortunately, he received negative feedback from them.. when he FINALLY brought the meds to me, they were INCORRECT!!! Totally unprofessional, in my opinion. He headed back & I called my Shoppers in Olds.. to complain. It’s been approximately 1 hour of waiting in extreme pain in a hot vehicle with 2 pups..waiting for my prescribed pain medications.

I would rate it a zero but that is not an option. A pharmacy. I am sick and need a prescription on a Sat. I came in and was told the wait would be 20 minutes. The staff was pleasant enough if distracted. I waited. After 20 minutes I returned to find a line up. I waited an additional 15 minutes. Was told only half my prescription was ready and I would have to come back at 3pm since they were too busy. I returned at 4pm. I was told only half was ready because the compounding room was locked. No apology. No understanding and a full day wasted since I would have needed to travel to Calgary to get the prescription filled. Something like this has happened to me three times with delays and promises undelivered. You'd think I would have learned to know they speak for convenience, take as long as they like with each customer and say, well were rocking here. Thanks for your patience. So busy. For such a friendly and seemingly well managed store, I find this upsetting especially given my discomfort and why I need my prescription filled. Thanks to the Canmore pharmacy team, I am getting in my car at 5pm to drive to Calgary to get my prescription filled. It was written at 7:30 this morning and at the Shopper's Drug Mart pharmacy at 9am this morning. Beyond disappointing. I would have appreciated being told up front what could and could not be done. I understand the busyness of a Saturday but consideration for something who needs some physical relief would have been nice. Shopper's Canmore pharmacy is not anything I want in a drugstore when I need it.

Drop my prescription off at 10pm on a Thursday night was told it will take 1-2hours or come back in the morning to pick up. Came back in the morning at 7:30am for pick prescription wasn’t ready was told I had to wait another 40mins for it to be ready. What the heck they did all night. Great place weather you're coming here to pick up some odds and ends or just a little grocery shopping chances are you'll find it and for a decent price as long as you keep in mind it's not a grocery store. We had a big cart full of things today at Shoppers in Bathurst. Instead of using a cash (which we wanted) they directed us to the self check out. They also told us which items we should group together as we packed our own items. While we did this the 2 cashiers talked about their plans for the weekend. They were not busy at all. I worked at 2 different Shoppers locations for a total of 9 years. I've been both a cashier and Supervisor on evenings & weekends. This was shocking to see. I would of never behaved that way in front of customers.

They had a early black friday sale on Hp Chromebooks. I called the day of the sale to see if they had them in stock as we don't live in town and would be making a special trip for it. I was told by their customer service that they were sold out. My spouse decided to go in anyways and maybe find an alternative as it was for a Christmas gift. Once she got there she noticed 2 of the Chromebooks behind the register for sale. After asking the cashier if they were in fact the ones on sale and confirmed she wanted one and was just picking up another item. By the time she was back (5mins) the cashier had sold both units and told my wife she was sorry and that was that. She then spoke to the sales manager who said she would try to locate another one and would contact her by the afternoon. This didn't happen. When we informed head office we were given the impression it was our fault for not purchasing it right away and walking around the store with it to continue our shopping. You aren't allowed it until you purchase so we couldn't have put it in a cart. No wonder there's 3 other pharmacies in town. Very poor customer service.

An absolute exercise in frustration. One calls to get meds transferred from one pharmacy to Shoppers and it doesn’t get done. One asks Shoppers to Fax your doctor for a prescription refill and it doesn’t get done. One phones in advance to confirm that the scripts are ready, and gets told they are only to find out upon arrival that NONE have been filled. That leaves my wife having to wait and wait. Patience has worn thin to the point of no return.

Yesterday I went to go get my covid vaccine. I made an appointment at 10am and by 10:35 I was still waiting to be seen. I forgot one number on my health card on the form and the lady came over and snapped at me saying she needs my health card then comes back and basically yells at me for forgetting one number I even apologized and she just grunted at me. I ended up leaving because I was already nervous about getting my shot but then I get someone who’s extremely mean to me. That just pushed me over the edge and I got up and left, and I also had something to do at 10:45. I thought making an appointment means you get in at that time but I guess not. Very shifty business practices at SDM. A box of 10 packages syringes will cost you $45.99. If they don’t have a full box to sell you, Pharmacist told cashier to charge me individually. So she proceeds to charge me 6.49 x 9 = $58.41 told them to keep their needles. Had same scenario at Walmart a few months back, no problem there in fact found 9 x 4.50 at Walmart day after.

This is the most either understaffed pharmacy or disorganized one. They just took 22 minutes to come to the phone, and when I asked them to order in an over the counter medication, they said they aren’t the qualified person to put the order in but have written it down for the correct person. This is not unusual for this pharmacy, and what usually happens is that it never gets ordered, so I have to repeat the process until I finally luck into the correct person.

Just made us stand there at least 5min feeling totally foolish while we were completely ignored. I get they were in the middle of a task but they could have at least acknowledged our presence and advised it would be a minute or two or whatever. We were totally fine with waiting but there was no need to completely ignore us. We decided to go to the shoppers pharmacy on Fairview, which we should have done in the first place. As I left, I said to the girl "you could have at least acknowledged that we were waiting" to which she replies "oh, someone will be with you shortly". Went to shoppers on Fairview, arrived at the counter and within seconds, we were greeted and quite pleasantly. Skip this pharmacy and go straight to the one on Fairview Rd, they'll treat you properly.

Went to the Shopper’s Drug Mart to drop off business mail. The person behind the counter was not wearing a mask. When I asked her to put her mask on, she refused. I asked another staffer to speak to the manager. The manager insisted repeatedly that Amy didn’t have to wear a mask because she was more than six feet away from the customers. Why they argued about this is a total mystery. This happened on January 19, 2021 at about 7:30 PM. at the Quinte Mall branch in Belleville ON.

Came into wellington store 24 hours later and nobody had called Orillia. 45 minutes later still waiting. Tomorrow I will transfer to another store. This is brutal

When I called this evening with a dilemma, the phone was answered by Kero (the Associate/Owner Pharmacist). I had never met or spoken with Kero prior, but what a positive, upbeat and professional gentleman he is. He was able to help me out (all without knowing of my previous knowledge and experience as a pharmacist). I could not recommend this kind, friendly and helpful Pharmacist any more then that. Like the store, it's just their checkout system is very annoying They are always pushing customers to use the self check out. I have nothing against self checkout , I use them at other stores. The shoppers self scans are not designed good, too crowded, too small. Its is very annoying to keep getting asked to use them everytime I go.

This pharmacy and location needs HELP! The staff is kind, but they are significantly understaffed. It’s upsetting to rate anyone trying this hard 1 star - but Management needs to get involved. As mentioned over and over again, it takes HOURS to get through on phone, and it’s almost worse in line / in person. I had a phenomenal experience with Krish when we first moved to the area, but unfortunately we just can’t continue to wait like this and will need to find another pharmacy in Barrie that is better equipped to support their customer traffic. Best of luck to the team there. They are going to need it if you keep them this understaffed and overworked. Please don’t reply with your 1-800 number to call … I’ve spent enough time on hold. Use your resources elsewhere.

I've been using this Shoppers since moving to Barrie 15 years ago, love the pharmacy, they really try to help out, no matter who's there. Also the store staff, warm, friendly, helpful. The other day a couple of young Men didn't have masks on, the pharmacist on duty, said 'We can't make them.' So disappointed at this, you can make them, the owner is choosing not to. Of all places, where sick people literally congregate. I don't get it.

Did not have the makeup i was looking for and I was told by an employee who works in cosmetics that they don't call other locations to verify if that other location has it. When i went to the other location, thankfully they did have what i needed, however I was told from the other location that i went to that employees are able to contact other stores on behalf of customers to verify that they have the product in. Makes me feel that the older lady working at this main street location is lazy and shouldn't be working in customer service. I will not be going to this location again

This rating is specifically for the pharmacy in the back. I'll only go here if I'm desperate because I find the staff to be snobby and rude. Once I was picking up a prescription and asked to purchase a plastic bag, so she rudely informs me, "well they ARE 5 cents, that's why I just gave you the paper bag". Seriously? Do I look that destitute and pathetic that I simply couldn't afford the 5 cents? Just another example of why I would never recommend the pharmacy to anyone. The 24 hour is appealing and convenient but it's not worth it when you're treated like that.

Had to get a prescription filled after midnight at this 24 hour shoppers. Pharmacist was very rude when we brought in prescription and was told had to wait for 2 hours to get this filled. We were told there were 20 phone orders ahead of us, so apparently they take priority over people making the effort to come in to store. Pharmacist was much more pleasant when we picked up prescription at 2:30. Security person was very pleasant and helpful. Will not go back

I've been a loyal customer for years and years but recently every time I'm ready to check out I'm asked to use a self checkout no matter how full my cart is. I don't mind using them when there's a line up and I only have a few things. Most recently I had a cart full and there were no other customers but 2 workers were waiting to direct me to the self checkout and while I fumbled and juggled my products they chatted and had a great visit. It was brutal and I'm done.

I being an individual who is not considered essential, having my career put on hold because apparently our field is too risky to operate. I go to mail out essential items and pick up some groceries and I unfortunately use the self-checkout, they had notable gunge building up, you could see (oily) finger prints and could tell they were definitely not being wiped down between customers. I was going to take a picture but I figured I would go back in and just talk to somebody about it, with the employee seeing very UNSURE if they do wipe them down between customers!? Then said she would do that right away (only after I came back in to make a point of how gross they were) I'd like to see sanitary measures upheld if these kind of stores are allowed to be open. What a disappointment, sorry but not impressed.

I am very disappointed with Shoppers especially during these Covid times. My husbands prescription ran out so he went to Shoppers to hopefully get a few pills until he could get an appointment with the doctor. Shoppers refused to fill the prescription, he had to see his doctor. The doctors office was closed so he could not get an appointment. Back to Shoppers and they charged him $15 for a prescription! Its not the money it is the principal of the thing. We have been patrons of Shoppers for years and since retired. All our prescriptions have been filled there with never a problem filling prescriptions. This pharmacist is very impersonal, instead of talking and explaining why he would have to charge my husband for his prescription he just whispered to the girl behind the counter something. He never looked at my husband or payed any attention to him at all. Now we have since called our doctors office and got an appointment..... Talking to other people in Bancroft we have learned that the other pharmacies are more personal and would not charge you for a prescription renewal like that Shoppers pharmacist did. For all we know he may have pocketed the money.....We have since moved to another pharmacy and won't use Shoppers again.

You need to educate your cashiers on scanning code of practice. A refridgerated item on a shelf with a price on the shelf is considered an item on a shelf. Your employee was very rude and argued with me over the item. The product and was not magically floating in the air it was sitting in the shelf.

Terrible. Had prescription sent in afternoon from another pharmacy. I followed up with phone call to say I was driving through and asked if it could be ready in about 2 hours. They confirmed other pharmacy and prescription details and said it would be ready. Arrived about 3 hours later and was told "we are just putting it together, come back in 10 minutes", so I wandered around the store and went back in 15 minutes, was told same thing, "we are just putting it together come back in 10 or 15 minutes" I went back in 15 minutes, was told same thing, 3rd time... "we will put it together right now come back in 10 minutes"... 60 minutes of of my life I won't get back..... due to other commitments I had to leave without my medication. Now I will have to decide if I go without or drive the hour each way to this or another pharmacy tomorrow. Take your buisness elsewhere.
