Terrible service and unreliable professionals. Many in my building had good experience in the spider treatments with Orkin. So I called for a carpet beetle issue that had 2 separate specialists came in on site. Gone through the inspection and treatment just as directed. I also took prevention measures as inspected. Not only did the treatment not work, the service staff doesn’t feel provide the right resolutions and just make me pay extra again for something they never done right in the first place. Been back and forth with service staff for so long and I’m so disappointed in Orkin.

We have an annual home maintenance plan and our service technician is Ron Cole. He's professional, knowledgeable and extremely thorough each time he performs the inspection routines. The maintenance plan may seem a bit pricey but we have used other comparable services who offered cheaper rates and they were far inferior in the quality of their service and effectiveness to Orkin. We are highly satisfied and would totally recommend!

That is like one of the worst experience. As per instruction, we were told to empty all kitchen and washroom cabinets in advance. As you note, this is an extensive amount of work. On the day for the treatment, i took a half day off, the technician arrived our building 2 hours late and at the time he came to our apt, i said it is nap time for our 1 year old daughter so asked him if he can come at 3 pm as he will be in our building all day dealing one by one each apartment. He simply said no as he needs to reschulde another day. The point is he does not have any schedule or timing for any apartment. They basically say entire building to be ready any time. They need to understand that they are getting paid , that is not a voluntary service and u need to be flexible and a little smart so that u can meet others' schedule within the certain time frame. I would not recommend them anyone.

We had a another pest company treat the entry in the soffit on the outside of our home where yellow jackets were flying in and out. Unfortunately, we saw a large number of yellow jackets in our home over the coming days. We saw them coming out of our vents so knew there was still an active nest probably in our wall. It was so difficult to find a pest company who could provide a real solution. Many just said to treat them with Raid and wait for the change of season. Orkin was the first to respond with appropriate concern to yellow jackets in our house and sent out an emergency technician to investigate on the weekend. The customer service team contacted me daily as they tried to arrange two technicians and an extension ladder to check our roof for the nest. Finally, Orkin was able to do a fog treatment in our home and we haven’t seen a yellow jacket since. I was so impressed with the compassion and client service Orkin offered us.

Orkin is great. I love the annual subscription. It ends up being much cheaper than one-off contracts and they are easy to schedule (but you have to do it ahead of time, it’s not an emergency service).

Had a mouse problem in our house in January 2019 and a technician came out was nice but did seem knowledgeable. Now in April we still have mice, throughout the last 4 months we bought our own traps and caught 6 mice ourselves. The same tech came to our house 4x and still no changes. I called orkin 3x to get a refund as their website site claims if you're not satisfied with their service. A manager was supposed to call me back 3x now. No refund and no call back. So disappointed. Never again.

I thought I had an infestation of bedbugs so I called Orkin for an inspection. An inspector was brought in two days after I called (which is amazing). I was given the time frame from 10-12 and Brittney always came in at the earliest time. Super professional, answered all of my questions, and timely. I was allowed to contact her if I had any more concerns and every time, Brittney answered. It really comforted me to know that I had a professional at my reach who was willing to go through the many photos of what I believed were signs of an infestation. Canine inspection was called later on and again, came at 11 when I was told 11-2, and was responsive with all of my questions. Orkin really came through with the customer service aspect and was punctual with everything.

Twice was told there wasn't much they could do to help me rid of mice. Other than traditional traps. Didn't even look around much, left filling holes myself with steel wool. The Ant treatment did work, didn't get much instruction and how to get ready for the treatment. Guy that showed tried to turn down the appointment because I wasn't fully ready? Then proceeded to ask me every 3 minutes if I was ready yet. Also, only called 10 min before arrival. Leaving me having to get a newly adopted cat into a carrier in a very rushed manner. Won't ever use them again.

Overall my experience with Orkin was extremely disappointing. When I first called explaining that I thought I had raccoons in the attic they told me it wasnt likely and convinced me to have a tech trained to look for smaller pests come. He came and while friendly he asserted we didnt have any pests in the attic but we had a hole in the roof. I called my roof guy and he showed me pictures that proved I was correct in the first place. When I called Orkin back on 2 separate occasions to request their wildlife team they said both times I would get a call back and nothing. I have now wasted several more days with lots of rain coming in my roof because I cant get it closed until the animals are removed.....so I will do all future business elsewhere.

He was extremely professional the whole time. He is very knowledgeable and investigated further areas where activity would likely occur. He answered all my questions and explained my options. I took advantage of their one year service which includes ants and mice issues for the year and external and internal controls. I’m so happy!!! Love that my house is on a ravine, but sucks when it comes to exposure to wildlife. What is also important to mention is that when I first contacted Orkin, they were very personable and friendly and explained everything to me. So no surprises. That seems to be rare nowadays with businesses.

We have used Orkin for many years after our composting site in our Toronto property - well intentioned to be as environmentally friendly as possible - unfortunately attracted the attention of some rats that did not hesitate to invade our shed and - freak us out. About 15 years ago, the wonderful Milan from Orkin was a treasure in helping me get rid of pharoah ants and carpenter ants and my sister also had Milan help her to get rid of her mice. My house backs onto a ravine. When I moved in last year within a week I noticed mice boldly doing the catwalk in my backyard and the odd one made their way into the pool. I spoke to my neighbour who recommended Orkin. I called Orkin and someone came out within short order, did a full assessment and made recommendations to ensure the mice did not make it into the house. In fact his recommendations contradicted that of my home inspector, but were spot on. They installed bait stations outside and I followed their instructions for the home. They come regularly to top up the bait stations through the year (except winter as it is not needed then). A year plus now and no mice have made it inside my home (yay!). The ones outside eat the bait and disappear. No more catwalk and none to fish out of the pool. Thanks Orkin! ????????‍♀️

Unfortunately, this was the worst experience we have ever had dealing with a company. Our home is newly renovated and unfortunately the floor expert we had install the floors installed ones with powder post beetles in it. We contacted Orkin to explain the situation and had set up an appointment for one of their inspectors to come to our house when our contractor and his crew were there. I asked Orkin if they could give us an hours notice since we wanted everyone (contractor and his crew) present when the inspector arrived. The inspector, Mohamad called me at 3pm on Monday and said he will be arriving at 4pm. 4:30pm hits and still no Mohamad despite everyone being present waiting for him. Mohamad shows up and knows absolutely nothing about Powder Post Beetles. I thought that Orkin would at least brief their inspectors on what house call they are making so they can do some research before showing up. Mohamad contradicted himself several times saying "I guess we can spot treat the pieces of wood that have the beetle" and then later said "if we spot treat the beetles, they will just move to other pieces". Nevertheless, Mohamad had stated that his crew could arrange to be at our house the following Monday to treat the whole house. He asked our contractor to pull up several pieces of wood prior to then in preparation for the treatment. Our contractor paid Mohamad despite us not thinking he knew anything about the beetle. We expected to hear from Mohamad within 48 hours since this is a time sensitive matter. No word from Mohamad or Orkin at all. In fact, I called Orkin 3 days later complaining and the woman on the phone said she would have a manager call me right away to discuss. Two weeks later, no word. Extremely disappointing and I have no clue how Orkin has such a good name. Its embarrassing that someone can show up to a house not knowing anything about what they are "trained to know" and collect money and then never follow up. Update: Service Manager, Miles Klimczak, followed up promptly and resolved the situation as best as possible at this point.

He set traps and told me that I have to fix some holes even though I've been told by the sales person on the phone that he will fix the small holes. Another thing I didn't like is that he set up poison traps and when I told him I don't want the mouse to die inside my wall and stink, he told me that they go outside to die. It sounded like bs to me and after he left I googled it and discovered that I was right. His traps didn't manage to catch ONE MOUSE! I called him and asked to place more traps and he told me that there are enough traps. On the 4th day my husband went to Canadian Tire and bought high quality traps. The morning after we discovered that our traps cought the mouse. We paid over $250 for cheapest kind of traps . and a usless dude Save your money by either choosing another company or buying your own traps.
