Went to HH Woodstock looking for items shown online as being in stock. Staff insisted they did not stock one of the items, ever. One staff member was not helpful what so ever. Went to another HH. This store in Woodstock is a 5+, Nancy in paint was fabulous, knowledgeable and was all about the service and products, she put all my information in a binder with rooms, explained the paint stamp cards program and that the cards are my property, not the stores, gave me contact information for head office and St Jacobs. The store was bright, spacious, well stocked, you could easily turn your cart in the isle, I had several staff in various departments approach me and offer assistance, the cashier's were cheerful and sent me off on a very positive note, wish me a great day. Thanks to the owners, management and staff for such a positive customer service experience. I have my new hardware store.

I just found railway ties, item 2838-479 on the website. Site said I needed to choose a local store to find pricing. I selected my local store, and then the product was deleted and I needed to search for it again. (Poor web design). The product now showed with my local store and said "call store for details"; this is an awful web experience, and maybe appropriate for 1995. In 2019, you should not force customers to call a store to waste everyone's time. Called the store, and was transferred to another department after the answering person didn't know what to do. "Customer service" department said they could not provide me a price over the phone, and not sure if they could get the product. Stated "I would have to call around on Monday to see if anyone has this". This is literally absurd, and not even 1995, but more like 1985, that even in-store can't see pricing or availability on products you sell. People that have jobs need to use the weekend to buy home improvement products. I won't be surprised when home hardware goes out of business, because they run their operation like it was 30-40 years in the past.

Everyone at this location is so friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to see if they can order in something if what you're looking for isn't a stocked item. It is never difficult trying to find help when needed. Furthermore, they are a pet friendly establishment (before covid and now). I really enjoy taking my therapy dog in the store to get him accustom to face masks and different procedures since the covid pandemic. They always welcome him with treats and some pets. I find their prices comparable to other hardware stores in the area and they always seem to have decent sales going on throughout the year.

They are also close to the north east end of Woodstock; something most big stores can't claim at all. They have a huge lumber yard. Once I needed lumber for a decorative project and an associate assisted me with finding the most aesthetically pleasing lumber for the job... which was going above and beyond!

I only had good things to say about this store until a very rude man with a grey/black shirt made me feel extremely unwelcome. He completely violated my privacy and demanded that I show proof of mask exemption even though I politely reminded him that he is not permitted to ask those sorts of questions due to my personal privacy. He then proceeded to follow me around the store and harass me. Eventually I left the store due to feeling extremely violated and they did not have what I needed in stock anyways. DO NOT give this discriminatory establishment your business!

This store has become nothing but desperate and hit a low in the community in the fact they went on to put a grocery isle in a hardware store to try and become an essential business for customers to actually go in the store. What happened to protecting your customers over GREED? While covid19 state of emergency is in place. Im glad it was put back to curb side.

The website is horrible. Nearly unusable and the staff are generally inept at helping find anything but frustration. They have some how managed to get even worse and slow since the start of covid rather than perfecting the new measures with time as most stores have. Everything about the way they operate at this location is infuriating to the point that it is worth the extra 20 minute drive out of town. This hardware store needs to be replaced with one that functions well.

Home Hardware Woodstock has let me down, I do understand that these are not normal times for any operational business; however, the customer service at this location is been horrible. I called last week to place an order and was told that someone will be calling me back the same day to take the order, I did not hear back for 3 days. I called again (late last week) and still have not received a call back. On the other hand, Castle Allen Lumber has processed my order within hours for pick-up and highly recommend them for your building needs.

Took an item for exchange not refund (yes over 45 days), but they waanted a 20% restocking fee!!!. I paid the bloody fee and walked out without exchanging my item. I had $50.00 worth of goods to buyl. They lost that sale and any future business over a restocking fee. Th person in charge at that time basically said he didn't care, to quote when I told him they would be losing that sale and any future sales. "Thats OK" I did not tell him I was planning on getting Quartz counter tops and cupboards refaced. With that attitude it will be a frosty friday before I go in that store again.

Another rave review for this particular Home Hardware. I wanted to change the outside lights on my house, but they weren't a stock item. With all this mess with Covid it has taken a while for them to come in, and a while for me to get in to pick them up, but Rob obtained them and held them for me to get in and pick them up. Great place. I arrived on a Saturday night at 5:30 (closing time), looking for a microwave. (I thought they closed at 6pm) The guy let me in, helped me look, and carried it out to the car for me. Of course I bought one - when they were so helpful. (I was back in my car by 5:36, so I didn't take advantage of his kindness) -- OK, a year later -- all i can ask if = what has happened to this store. Twice recently i have been there and cannot find anyone to help, or if i do find someone, i know more about what i'm looking at than they do. I'm just a regular person, no special knowledge. Good staff is getting more difficult to find.
