I was able to book in quickly, the friendly receptionist and technician gave me loads of information over the phone. I had never had to book a pest control application before and I've not seen another firebrat or silverfish since the visit and it's been a week now ???? very happy to not feel scared an insect is going to be scurrying around every time I open the bathroom door. We live in a bungalow style home and recently noticed that squirrels have made themselves an entry hole into our attic via the soffit. Despite their adorable appearance, we knew we had some unwanted house-guests and we had to have them evicted quickly. We could see them taking leaps and scurrying up the side of the house. We found gnaw marks around the house, under the fascia and wiring that had been damaged. There was lots of evidence that they were hanging around and wreaking havoc on our home and it was time these unruly squirrels had to go. We knew we needed to call a professional to deal with this and lucky for us, we knew exactly who to call. Stephen at Pest Check, helped us in dealing with large aggressive raccoon last summer that had damaged our property and frightened the children. 3 of them tore up our lawn and left us with nothing but a plot of dirt. Not to mention being confronted by these critters every evening and the stare downs that would take place simply kept us from enjoying our yard last year. Stephen is fabulous; he was professional and knows what he is dealing with. He implemented a live trap system in both situations, a humane way of dealing with these critters. He sealed all the entry points into the attic ensuring any guests had a way out and none were left behind. Best of all is there is no chance of these rodents ever coming back to our place. You are in the best hands. Steve is not only hardworking, kind and attentive. He also cares about the removal of the animals involved too. He tells you what he will do and do more than what he was asked to do. Before calling Steve, I had two pest control companies before Steve. The other were great, but their response time wasn't as fast as Steves. My mother who owns our house is a very frantic lady and Steve, took the time to explain the services as well as prepare our house hold how the raccoons will react as well as what we can do compose ourselves because raccoons aren't know for being quiet. Steve informed us the law of the government and when we were allowed to evict our squatters getting free rent. When they day came for eviction, Steve and his son Taylor made only one exit and it took roughly two days for the raccoon family to go find another house to terrorize. Steve came back on the third day, ensure the raccoons were gone and sealed whatever holes on our house and I never heard a raccoon trying to claim rent since. We did ask Steve to deodorize and clean out the poop the raccoons left and Steve took more time than we asked to ensure everything was spotless and leaving our attic smelling great. Steve even scratch his head in the process but continued complete a gruelling task. It's summer and our attic is stuffy. Overall, my mom was so relieved and grateful for Steve's services. Pest Check really cares about nature and the animals involved, this company takes their time to access, inform and complete. Steve and his son, Taylor puts in more than 100%. With such an amazing and caring Father and son duo, Pest Check's other services will be needed in the future not only for raccoon removal. Know you will be in the best hands once you've called up Pest Check. Steve really takes the time to listen and understand you.

Pestcheck was not my first call.... but was the best call I made for a wasp nest under my porch. I was so impressed that Stephen responded the same day to resolve the issue quickly. The next day all evidence of wasp activity was gone! The quick response was important as I was having my house exterior painted when the painters told me they were being attacked/stung by wasps. I had called another exterminator company and they let me down with a no show. The painters can now resume their job without worry. Stephen's pricing was very reasonable. Google lists this business as 24/7. It is not 24/7 as it does not offer after hours service which is what 24/7 means. I called for emergency after hours help, and was told that the company doesn't offer this which is totally fine but your listing is inaccurate. Please update your Google My Business listing to more accurately reflect you service hours as people rely on the Google listing info to be accurate. I was looking for immediate after hours service, not next day service. If you update your hours on Google to be accurate, I'm happy to update my review I'm aiming to save people in a similar situation wasted time when looking for an after hours service.

I can't say enough good things about Stephen. From the time I called him, I knew he was professional. He was here within a couple of hours and gave me the best advice on how to deal with those rats ( they were small). He set up the traps which worked overnight, and was kind enough to come back the following day to set them up again. After I tried ( and failed) to set them up myself, Stephen came back again to show me how to do it properly and didn't charge me any extra for that. All through that, he kept his distance and wore a mask and gloves. Would definitely recommend him to anyone that is looking for help dealing with pests.

I called them after seeing 1 mice inside our house. I called a few companies and these guys were the only company that responded right away at 7:30am and showed up the same day. Steve and his son Cruz came in for an inspection and set off some traps and we caught 3 mice right away and the problem is gone within a couple of days after their first visit. They were both super knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. They took their time explaining the issue and what to do not to have the problem again. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with them and their service. Would definitely recommend.

My tenant spotted wasps flying out from a crease in her basement suite door frame. Found Pestcheck's ad on the website of a local newspaper. It was not the first one on there, thus I called them second. The price quoted was better than the first. More importantly, we called on Saturday of BC Day long weekend, although I did not push for immediate help, he offered to come on Sunday. That's what I call service above and beyond!. I definitely would recommend Steve of Pestcheck.

There were a few areas that still had some ant activity about two weeks after treatment. I called Pestcheck and they came back and re-treated the area no questions asked. We have had nothing but good experiences with Pestcheck. Last year we had problems not only with wasp nests in our garden, but also in our house. The garden issue was resolved quickly however, it was extremely difficult for Stephen to find out where the wasps in our bedroom were coming from, but he persevered until he was confident that they were all either dead or had fled the house for greener pastures. We have had Stephen check our house for carpenter ants and wasps for quite a few years and have always found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I would have no problem in recommending him or his company to anyone.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. The women on the phone is horrible and terrible customer service. I was inquiring about cockroach removal the first time I called and she was not able to answer my question and rudely said, I am not a technician but advised that they use a bait gel. After doing some google research, I decided that doing a bait gel may be more beneficial than a spray but I read online that if you used a store bought spray it can make the gel bait ineffective. Therefore, I called back today to inquire and the the women was incredibly rude and said they use a commercial grade product and cant comment on what I used and how effective my product worked. This was not even my question to her, she just ignored it. so I re-explained and she said, I don't know, I'm not a technician. Then I asked to speak to a technician to determine if the spray I used will make the bait ineffective. She said "are you actually planning to use our services because I don't want you wasting the technicians time with your questions". I let her know she was being incredibly rude and this was poor customer service. Her response was, "I'm sorry you feel this way". I explained that is not an apology and of course I was seriously considering using them because I would not be calling back otherwise and wanting to speak to a technician but before hiring someone and spending $300, I would like to know what the technician does, and if the spray I used would be useless for him/her to come in. She said that she did not want my business and hung up. Everyone else I have spoken to when exploring quote and method used have been kind and actually explained the process and what they do. If a technicians time is that restricted that you cant even speak to them to find out what they will do, and if your own attempt counteracts what they plan to do, just imagine the type of work will be done. Will it be rushed? The receptionist, I am guessing must have a miserable life to be that rude to customers or must think her job as a receptionist answering phone calls for individuals inquiring about pest control is a very important job even though she is not the one doing the actual exterminating and feels that she can talk to people inquiring about services as if they are beneath her with her attitude. She definitely needs a reality check and hopefully the technicians see this review and speak to her because they just lost a costumer. It sounds like she may be the one responding to reviews, so if that is a case, this may be another situation where an employee ruins it for the company.

Pestcheck offered a plan of isolation and elimination of our ant pests from our 90 suite complex. The ant issue kept recurring over many many years with other pest control methods not eliminating the population. Pestcheck attacked the problem as a complete building and eliminated the entire population within 6 months. The systematic action and follow up succeeded where previous attempts failed or just moved the population around the building or split the colonies. One year later the ants are still gone although monitoring is still ongoing. Great work. Thank you.

I can't thank the staff at Pestcheck enough for their expertise and support . I live next to a vacant property filled with garbage and ideal conditions for rodent reproduction. They made their way into the exterior walls of my home and living between the walls (so gross).. I called several companies and Julie was prompt in her response and transparent in the costing - which was so appreciated. Tayler came and assessed my home and the situation. He was helpful, dedicated and honest. I especially appreciated that he didn't oversell a service I didn't need!! Tayler was respectful of my time and budget as a renter.
