This store is a joke, They constantly don't have the products they advertise or sale prices offered in their flyers. Should contact better business bureau about false advertising. If its in your public flyer- YOU should have it-Otherwise don't put out the flyer!! They always have excuses"-Flyer was done months ago!!- SO WHAT!!

The customer care agent was very helpful but the lady at the check out was not. All she could say was: " no" instead of telling us that the one free refill, was free when you purchased a new water bottle and not at your first visit for refill. It would of been to easy. The refill station stated 1st refill was free. The wording, at the refill station should state clearly.

Today we went in to buy paint and wood and the customer service was amazing ! The lady that helped us with paint was the most knowledgeable person we have ever talked to about paint and she gave us some really good tips! Then we drove out back to get the wood and we told the guy that we had to cut the wood up into smaller peices and the guy went through many peices to make sure we got one without knots in it. He didn’t just give us the first board that he found, he really took his time to make sure we were getting exactly what we needed ! Most people these days don’t always care too much but both associates went above and beyond to make sure we were successful in our project! Thank you so much !

On top of that; after doing some shopping around the cashier and another man -who worked there- were discussing how annoying it is when customers ask for help! Oh- I'm sorry and don't worry I won't be shopping at home hardware EVER again!

Was calling about a online return. I was put on hold for 20 mins, the hung up on. I called back and after 15 mins they hung up on me again. Finally got a service person after a hour of being on hold and hung up on. Was told to bring it in with paperwork. I told him it was a online order so no paperwork. His answer was i dont know we need paperwork. I try not to expect to much but with this world going online due to covid, this company needs to sort its self out.

Went here to pick up 6 sheets of plywood. Seems the price has jumped over $6 a sheet for 3/8" due to the fires in B.C. The only problem was the sheets of plywood I bought came from AB not B.C. I didn't notice this until I was home. Let the gouging commence on wood prices. Unreal!!! I'm quite sure the wood I purchased was manufactured long before the fires started. Talk about taking advantage of a situation. Don't bother trying to explain HHBC ... it's gouging at it's finest ... plain and simple. Will avoid this place at ALL COSTS in the future.

Was there on sunday. Younger employee advised me to cut my own rope. Older employee yelled over not to let customer cut rope. She then rudely asks me were the rope is I want cut. I show her . I tell her I need 6 meters. She again rudely tells me its sold by the foot. She cuts the rope and rudely tells me I don't have a lighter to melt the ends. I say thanks, thinking to myself , no lighter in a hardware store. Wow.

Always great service from store manager. During this recent pandemic, I had a chance to sit in the parking lot and observe the behavior of patrons who visited the Home Hardware store. I was totally amazed by the rude behavior towards the staff by a lot of the patrons. Most patrons didn't have any regard for the hard work by both yard and office staff. Yelling at the staff when they were having a well deserved break is just completely unacceptable. People should show patience and understand the conditions these staff members were all working under. Great job done by Bob and the entire staff.

Very disappointed in the behaviour of the staff at this location. I NEEDED some items to help fix a leaking roof. Due to all of the rain we are trying to avoid more damage to the inside of my home, mould ect. The first thing yard staff did was question weather I was listening to the news and I was told that more people should speak up and should be staying home. I was following social distancing protocol to the best of my ability in attempting to use an essential service. I totally agree during this crisis it is important to try to stay home. If you are not aware of an individuals circumstances you should not be harrassing them for doing what they need to for the safety of their families. That's what I get for trying to support locally owned small business. We Will NOT using this location even after this crisis is over.

Good health and safety precautions were in place and the store representatives were helpful. I was able to find everything I expected to find in store, and since I was looking for a rather specific furnace filters, I was surprised to see that they almost carried the exact one I needed, MERV 11 but different dimensions). I hadn't been able to find those in any other stores nearby so it was a pleasant surprise. Prices were also good. I got 3 dust stop filters for the furnace at about $2 each.

This is the worst hardware store I have ever dealt with. I have tried to let go of my bias’ to support local but there is a reason why no one shops at this store. I would choose any other store in this location over Trenton home hardware. Literally save your money and pay the gas to go to any store other hard ware store. Their customer service is the worst in town. Staff is rude. It apparently takes 7 days to receive an online order. You can’t cancel your 7 day pick up, despite Lowe’s being ready in 1 hour. Honestly I would be embarrassed to be an owner of this store.

The staff are friendly and helpful but I find that the store is almost overstocked to the point it feels cluttered and confining. I know this is not the staff's fault. It has to do with the store trying to have as many products as possible in store to meet as much demand as possible but I think sometimes less is more. I mean if there is an item that I need the store can, and has, bring it in for me from the main warehouse. Other than that like I said the staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are good and competitive and they do have a lot of different products to pic from. If you don't see what you want all you need to do is ask at the service desk. They'll look it up for you and if it is available in another store or in the warehouse they will bring it in for you. Ive been in 3 times past week. Walked around searching for too long then left. Many staffers talking to each other but look away when customers make eye contact. Even the so called "service desk" act antisocial. BEST Home Hardware in area is by far Gananoqua....1st class...staff chase you around store hoping to help you. Quite a contrast !

I phoned this store to try to get some help regarding some HIGH WIND SHINGLES that they supplied last year. The roof was completely shingled and finished last November. This week, the shingles started to fly off. I question the quality of the shingle and/or the Roofer. Bob, the Manager was completely uncooperative - would not help in any way and told me to contact ServiceMaster who supplied the Roofer. Unfortunately, ServiceMaster, Belleville's Owner/Manager Wayne Shangraw is being entirely un-cooperative as well and the Roofer wants $350.00 to replace the Shingle. Wayne Shangraw and the Roofer were paid around $22,000.00 for this job This is most disappointing and pehaps an example of the workmanship and value of a Warranty at this time of a Housing/Renovation Boom in our area.
