Definitely the go-to for conscientious wildlife removal. Today I found a half-drowned bat in a toilet and was desperate to save it without putting the bat or myself at risk. I was a bit of an emotional spaz because I adore bats, but Rob was a great comfort on the phone, then Ryan showed up and expertly scooped it up in a jar and saved its life. Heroes all around. Hired Wildthings to come take care of my raccoon problem in my detached garage. My correspondence with Ryan was enjoyable and professional, he showed up when he said he would and introduced himself and his helper when they arrived at my place. While speaking with Ryan right away it was clear he really knows his stuff. The job went well, installing the meshing in soffit reinstalling the damaged soffit, installing one way door and chalking along parts of the soffit for extra support. The next day Ryan returned to deodorized the attic with a fogging machine and remove one way door. I would hire Ryan to look after pet problems at my place and would recommend Wildthings to anyone looking for an affordable safe human way of removing wildlife and eliminating the animals entry points.

Had a mom and baby skunks under our step outside our door. The 2 guys that came to check first time were great! They put steel mesh all around the step, bolted, and left a trap door for mom, so she could come and go to feed babies. I called yesterday and mentioned I thought they were maybe gone. There was no smell and it didn't look like the trap door had been used in awhile. When I left this morning, trap door was gone, the remaining mesh was put up and they tidyed the soil in the garden beside. Amazing staff and work involved! You could tell they cared about animals in the wild.

A realtor friend recommended Wild Things as she had heard good things about the company. Internet reviews were excellent so I called and the owner Rob came out the next day. We live in a home built in 1908 with siding added in 2014. We have caught mice from time to time but this Spring we found a nest of 7 and a few mice running around the basement. Rob said that the problem would not go away unless the outside of the home was sealed which meant installing screens between the aluminum siding and the walls, screening vents and pipes, sealing up any holes and resealing the windows. It was not cheap but his quote was 50% less than a well-known competitor company who I feel used a scare-tactic saying that there could be hundreds of rodents in the walls of my home. Rob didn’t believe that. Rob and his staff arrived on time and it took 6 hours of work. One-way exit doors allowed mice to leave but not enter. Shockingly, Rob said I had rats, not mice! A week later, Rob came by and set up some traps for stragglers, and three weeks later, he removed the doors. Rob offers a 5-year guarantee in his work.

I thought it was birds --Andre from Wild Things was very patient and finally, with the help of Ryan and his thermal imaging tool, located in my wall baby racoons. The mother had ripped through the top of the roof shingles. Andre and Ryan safely retrieved the one week old babies from the outside. Repairs were done so well you can't tell the spot where Andre retrieved the babies. Mama racoon came by later and took her babies away.

Wild Things humanely and cost-effectively removed a racoon that had taken up residence in my basement this past winter. After many visits (as this cagey critter was not to be fooled by treats inside a cage) it was finally coaxed out of the house the same way it got in--via the chimney. Once the critter was gone, Wild Things guaranteed in writing that the raccoon would not return; they had installed two strong one-way gates around the top of the chimney to prevent re-entry. Better service than we could have hoped for! We heard thumping around in our chimney and knew something must have gotten in. They sent someone out same day to come assemble some boxes on the roof and checked in to see how everything was going. When a couple days passed and we still heard scratching and thumping, I called back. Rob came out within a couple hours and found out the squirrel was stuck in our fireplace box. He was amazing about the removal, and was so gentle with the poor squirrel who had been stuck for days. We genuinely could not have asked for a better experience, and would recommend Wild Things Wildlife Control to anyone.

We are writing this review because we had a serious bat and mouse infestation. It went on for 4 months and the rental company did not take it seriously. After 4 months we were desperate! Catching 2 bats per night, never being able to sleep and always worried. We we also catching 1-2 mice per day. When we saw the bat crawl under a closed door to chase us we had had enough. The condo finally called Wild Things Canada and Rob came to our rescue! He took the time to help us, explained and finally took action to solve the issue! He went above and beyond for us and even checked on us on his day off because we were so nervous! We can’t thank you enough for caring, understanding we were scared and you took extra time to help. Wild Things came recommended from another pest control company that was no longer doing pest control. They responded quickly, had great communication. I had critters in my attic at my rental property. He visited the property on the Thursday to assess the damage. I texted him that night concerned about all the rain coming the next day and guess what! He had ALREADY installed preventative measures to stop any further damage-- from pest or the elements. The problem was fixed the next day. He checked back frequently to ensure the critters did not make a return. He fixed the soffits and damaged roof vents. You can't even tell the critters were there. Needless to say, I'm so happy!

I Called a few years ago for a quote to fence off our front patio, and stop the skunks from making it their home. We didn't end up dealing with it then, and regretted it ever since. We haven't seen the skunks in a few weeks, but their last visit left our garden destroyed. I called on a Thursday, they came on Friday, and did the work that day. Monday night the skunks tried to get back in and where "skunked" on their attempt. Extremely Happy with the service, quality, speed and efficiency these guys have. We purchased a house in June and thought we heard scurrying in only one wall of the basement. We believed this was mice. We never had or seen mice in the house and months prior to contacting Rob we placed mouse traps in the basement to be safe. The traps never caught anything. After hearing the scurrying once again, and the colder weather coming, we decided to contact Rob. Rob answered, and we booked something that worked for both of us. Rob came out and did an inspection of the exterior. Rob found what he believed to be the access point for mice. Do to upcoming renovations we have planned on the siding in the spring - Rob suggested on placing traps, and filling the few holes to save money and not waste it when we will be updating shortly. Rob didn’t try to sell the job, and actually explained the ease of patching the holes. Rob was definitely not out to take our money like other big companies may have. If he was, it would have been quite easy considering we are first time home owners and never have dealt with something like this. If anyone is looking at using Rob and his company. We have nothing but good to say. Very happy with this service. We hope nothing but success for Rob and his company. We believe it’s quite rare to find a small, local and honest company like this. Our cats alerted us to a noise in the chimney, upon inspection of the clean out we found a smallish raccoon. Rob gave some great advice on how to best annoy the critter to make it climb back out. He then popped over a couple of days later once it had left to cap the chimney for us. He was up, done and down by the time I found my cheque book. We had squirrels on in our attic digging and scratching. We called Rob at Wild Things and he managed to fit us in at the end of his day— same day. Not only did he inspect, but he also said he’d do the work right then and there. He was quick and efficient and even took time to talk to our toddlers who were asking a million questions. I first called Wild Things in August 2015, when I was having problems with a groundhog burrowing under my house, thereby causing heavy concrete patio tiles to sink into the holes that were being created. As the back of the house has no basement, this was of immediate concern because I didn't want the groundhogs to start digging under the floor. In addition, I thought something might be nesting in the crawl space under my bedroom, as I was waking up to a kind of "purring" sound underneath the floor. Wild Things was the first and only company I called: the first because of the humane approach to dealing with the animals that was shown on their website, and the only company, because I immediately trusted Ryan, who came on the initial call, to take care of the problem in an intelligent and animal-friendly way. Ryan rescheduled his work so that he could tackle the groundhog problem as soon as possible. In addition to installing a barrier at the back of the house to keep out the groundhog(s), he also "skunk-proofed" my garden shed by digging around the perimeter and putting wire screening into the ground to keep them out, with a one-way door at surface-level. At the time, there were about four entrance points to the tunnels that skunks were using as they criss-crossed the property to get to different yards. He then "mouse-proofed" my attic and crawl-space (not so animal-friendly, but necessary) and, finally, Rob came to look after the wasps' nest which turned out to be what was in the crawlspace under my room!! At that point, Rob joked that I was a VIP customer. I would definitely recommend Wild Things for their effective, intelligent, and humane solutions to backyard animal problems in the city!

Rob arrived at my house today on time and did a fantastic job of not only installing cages over my roof vents and securing the intersections on my roof, but I was particularly impressed by his willingness to do "more" while he was here. I asked if he could install eavestroughing guards while he was on the roof and he said, "No problem." I also asked if he could install some meshing over an existing exhaust vent at the side of my house, and he said, "No problem." There was also no extra charge. Rob's willingness to do things right away, all the way, and with a smile have served him well. That's why if there is ever a mouse infestation or a raccoon/squirrel/skunk issue on our street, we all know that Rob and Wild Things Wildlife Control is who we will always call first. Thanks, Rob! Great service from Wild Things Wildlife Control! We had a raccoon break into our attic at around 4am on a Tuesday morning. Initially we called Skedaddle (because they had high ratings and showed up first on the recommendations) - but they told us they couldn't get anyone to come by the house until Friday afternoon, that the assessment would have a fee, and then the actual wildlife removal would happen the following week. Not wanting to wait an entire week before we got rid of the raccoon, we tried calling Wild Things and thank goodness we did! Rob was able to fit us in for an assessment THE SAME DAY. He came by in the afternoon, did a full assessment of our whole house exterior for free! He pointed out other entry points that other rodents could be using to get into our house (we previously had a mouse problem as well), and was not pushy at all about having him fix those, just gave us the price and said it was up to us if we wanted to proceed with the other fixes, other than the raccoon issue. He then placed a one-way door over the hole the raccoon made (let the raccoon out without allowing it to go back in). The raccoon was gone THAT NIGHT - brought us a lot of piece of mind. And then someone came by the following week to fix up the other areas of our house. Everything was very affordable. Overall very happy with the service and the quick response! Highly recommend!

These people are great. I live in a Slum Skyline Building that has had squirrels in the roof for years. These guys have worked very hard to deal with this issue. This must be a phenomenon where so many positive reviews has led to so much business, they can't handle the call volumes. I called and left a message on Oct. 20 and sent a text message to the owner's cell on Oct. 21. One week later and no response whatsoever. From the few negative reviews available, I'm not the first to experience this. I hope the owner views this as an opportunity to improve their service. In the meantime, I've had to look elsewhere.

This company showed integrity from the first contact with Rob until the final contact which included more staff. We had squirrels living in our roof. They ensured all critters would not be harmed and nothing toxic would be used. It took around 3 hours for the work to be completed. We were called 2 times as follow up ensuring the squirrels were evicted and that we were satisfied. We would highly recommend Wild Things Wildlife Control for any pesky issue. They are as concerned about the humane treatment of wildlife as we are. The price was also fair considering what job entailed.

We had a gang of raccoons living under our deck and subsequently beneath the floors of our kitchen! Rob was able to barrier our deck fairly quickly (within 2 weeks, I think they are really busy this time of year and it was a bigger job). The raccoons managed to find a new way in after a few days and he promptly re-secured the perimeter at no extra cost. It's been a few weeks and there's no sign of raccoons now. Final cost was exact same as quote at a very fair and competitive price compared to other companies. He was very friendly and explained everything, easy to communicate with.

I wanted the animal unharmed since it was most certainly not the animals fault he was in the predicament that he was in. We are so happy with the service provided by this company. We discovered a noise in our closed off chimney stack this weekend, and after calling around to a number of companies on Saturday, we got a hold of someone from Wild Things, even though they were closed. They knew exactly what the noise was and were able to come out this morning. It turns out we had baby raccoons living in our chimney. The gentleman from Wild Things was able to take them out in a very humane way and didn't have to kill them or the mother. He will come back to cap off our chimney in a couple days after the mom is out and has relocated the babies. The price was very reasonable and we were so impressed with how everything turned out. This year it is a squirrel in the roof. Five years ago it was a racoon. Rob solved the problem 5 years ago quickly and effectively and set up prevention to protect the vulnerable spot on our house. It worked and still does today. So when the squirrel found a way into the roof, we called Rob because we know he is professional, effective, and he will advise/fix the issue so we don't have issues in the future. And he has delivered again. These issues are common on wood-trimmed houses in Wortley Village, and who you choose to fix the problem matters. This company always delivers.

After discovering a raccoon in our attic, we promptly got on the internet to read reviews for the best company to remove this cute but destructive animal. Hands down, the best reviews were posted for Wild Thing Wildlife Control. We called the next morning and got a very good humored and very knowledgeable young man named Rob. He came out the same day, and he checked all the walls and floor with a heat sensor and it did not indicate that there was a animal in the attic. He surveyed all around our property and checked for any entry and found an area that could potentially been the entry point. Rob had a strong suspicion that when we shone the light on the raccoon the evening before that it probably had frightened the critter off, but to be safe, he put a one way door to be sure. Seeing that this is the time they have their babies, Rob said if it had gone out and there were babies in there, the mother would rip the shingles or whatever to get back inside to her babies. We checked the next morning and there was no evidence that she or he had come back. When Rob came back a few days later, he said it looked like it had tried to get back in the door, but not aggressively, as it would have, if it had babies in there. He also went around a checked, and fixed all entry points. I can only say, how professional and funny he was...he has an amazing personality and he makes the day a little brighter with his sense of humor and his expertise on wildlife. He is caring and we could tell if he had found any animal he would have been very kind and gentle with it. Trust me when I say this gentleman will put your mind at ease and he will do his job carefully and with a precise skill. I would say, this man was raised properly and his parents must be very proud of his integrity and honesty. I would recommend this company hands down. As a foot note, I would say, it is very scary during Covid or at any time to let someone come into your home, but he wore his mask at all times and kept the appropriate distance, and respected our home. I hope you will never need this service, but if you do, don't hesitate to call this company!!
