The photo section has been moved to electronics. AVOID! Over Christmas it was a nightmare. Machines not working then having to stand in huge lines to get help only to have to go back to another huge line just to get to back on one of the machines. Many left. NOT A SMART MOVE Wal-Mart. For photo related things will be going elsewhere going forward. The store itself is 4 stars. Usually well stocked and staff are generally very polite and helpful. The checkout area with COVID is a bit of a hassel when there are line-ups. You have to cut through them to get to other side of the store or go along the back of the store.

Original post: What is going on behind the skids of pop, all over the floor? There's meat, (formerly) frozen pizzas... which is disheartening when you have the same pizza in your cart... hope it didn't come from back there ugh! and about 50 dusty scratched up bottles of pop, candy etc... and the dust, holy.. the dust! There was a guy stocking it when I was there, there's NO WAY he didn't see the mess. Terrible.

I loathe self checkout and am a cash only customer, one or two live cashiers...gimme a break! Very poor management. Carts of new stock to be put away for DAYS on end, repeatadly out of stock for 5-6 WEEKS at a time on items I shop for. The theft losses in cosmetics are likely huge since there is nobody working the department....ever. I go elsewhere now whenever possible.

Busy, busy, parking lot with rv's! I know Walmart is gracious and allows overnight stays ..... but these units had their slides out, stabilizers down, trailers unhooked, probably no less than 20 units in the parking lot. Store itself was ok, lots of empty shelves, no bottled water, sold out, plus this location does not carry produce. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Far rather drive the half hour to Simcoe than half hour to Hamilton. Like a typical Walmart, it is difficult to find floor staff to assist when needed. Store is clean though and well stocked. Nice that it is a SuperCentre and can pick up groceries.

Electronics area is closed, still able to sell some items but they have to bring them to you leading to more contact than necessary as well as limiting customers from seeing pricing options between different selections. Printer ink is apparently non essential, however they have no problem selling printer paper. At self checkouts they have someone once again invading your personal space to rummage through your bags to make sure you are not buying anything "non essential". Had more contact with staff in the time it took to pick up a phone charge cable today than i have on full on shopping trips due to sheer stupidity.

I used to like Walmart as a place to shop. They were good to their customers. No longer. (I have since learned that they were never good to their employees nor their suppliers.) Customers are being pushed to self check out. There aren't enough cashiers, even though this is a phenomenally wealthy and profitable company. If I wanted to check-out my own shipping cart, I'd shop at amazon.ca. Walmart is my store of last resort. My first choice is to buy from small local businesses.

By far the worst Walmart I’ve ever shopped in Canada and the US. This was a Sunday at 530pm store was wide open and full of customers. I completely understand you need to stock shelves, but when it impacts your ability to even shop or walk down into a department. This was Girls clothing, and my 3rd attempt this week to shop here.

Wainwright Wal-Mart is typical of most of the chain. Standard layout and stock. Once in a while you will find a true gem of a deal but not as often as you used to. They have a decent sampling of goods and services even though Wainwright is a smaller center. Unfortunately you need to really watch the perishable items you can buy there as they can go off quite quickly or be off when you get them home. This is not the staff's fault but an issue that seems to happen in many of the stores as some of the cost cutting measures block quality. They do keep the store and washrooms clean and are fairly well staffed.

It is really a good store to buy grocery and other stuffs. But only problem is that it has only one halal section in the entire store and sometimes it goes out of stock as well. Has enough space for parking and wheelchair accessible entrance. When it comes to price it is good but not great. There are a lot of improvement can be made especially in the cutlery side. If you have multiple shopping needs great to go. Toy department is a bit on the small size but not bad. Tip if you are buying a big toy item check online first as I once found it cheaper online than what was in the store and they price matched the item.

Customers seem to be the main problem with Walmart keeping up with covid rules. People are not giving each other space while walking through the store and now when it's more important that you return your cart to a cart return spot so it can be cleaned before use for the next customer people are still leaving carts in the middle of parking spots. First of all I would like to start off this review by saying that this is not the first time this has happened to us at this Wal-Mart. There was an item marked wrongly on the shelf for less than half of what it came up as when scanned. There were multiple items there in the place so obviously it was tagged wrong I doubt that someone shopping would take the time to place all of the items there as stated by one of the mangers. The description of the item was also the same. After the regular managers not honoring the price which should be honored by the Ontario scanning code of practice, they had informed me that Wal-Mart only honors items based solely on the UPC number which is not correct and does not say anywhere on the website for Ontario scanning code of practice. I patiently waited for my girlfriend to get back with the full store manager. Which she told us we were correct and gave us the item for the marked price. I felt embarrassed and I already have social anxiety on top of that. The managers kept making it a larger scene than what was needed. Wal-Mart is a multibillion dollar company and they should honor the scanning code of practice. After waiting for all of this, I then had to wait another 30 minutes standing holding all of our items in bags which were quite heavy for a manager to come back to approve the price override. This is ridiculous. I doubt I will be returning unless in dire need. Attached below is a photo of my hand after waiting for so long holding the heavy bags.

Walmart is the best place to shop for general wares in New Liskeard, though I must admit Im having some problems with it. I absolutely hate that they expanded self checkout when a lot of the time I just wanna pay with cash, and it leaves employees with less jobs! (I assume they did this as a result from being short staff as I've heard they were looking for employees before this) They added a temptation isle in order to get to the checkout which I find personally disgusting as it shows how far this Walmart is willing to go to milk their customers. I understand it from a business perspective but that doesn't make it right. On the plus side, their electronic department has been very helpful with helping me find a potential new phone and the clothing is quite nice here and there.

But the whole point of ordering online for curbside pickup is to limit how much I have to go into the store, you know to "reduce the spread of COVID" but online orders you have to walk in and through the store to the exit even though there's a "curbside booth" right out front, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I needed to picked up a birthday gift for my grandson, but during the Covid-19 lockdown I had to shop online. I am not happy about it but I have no choice. But, then I found out that I didn't spend enough for free shipping so I though, no problem, I can pick i up. Then I found out during check out I had to pay a $5.00 handling fee! Again, because I didn't spend enough!!! I wouldn't have paid this is I could have shopped for myself. This fee should be waived during Covid-19 lock down!!

Overall a good place but whoever is responsible for the overhead announcement system needs to fix the volume. It’s too loud, when they start you can’t have a conversation and what’s worse it’s so loud the feedback distorts the voices making it difficult to make out what’s being yelled at you. I always shop at the south Wal-Mart for location convenience. I live almost an hour from town. Over the last 2 weeks they have a whole new set of clerks. I have now been charged over 10$ more for them double scanning only one item. This is frustrating considering it it the $8.00 or the more expensive item. If they cannot train their staff properly then I guess the thousand of dollars i spend will be spent elsewhere. I always watch and should not have to check and recheck my grocery bill before I leave the store!!!

I give this Walmart three stars solely because of the lack of entrances and exits into the parking lot. One entrance/exit being shared by two big box stores, Tim Hortons, Boston pizza and several other retailers is nowhere near enough. There is always a line of cars waiting to come and go from this parking lot. After a local man was hit by a car last year they announced that a second entrance was coming sometime in 2018.

The employee Mari loo was very harsh at customer service desk. I requested a mask but the lady refused and when I tried to cover my face with cloth tissue the lady yelled at me made me feel like a criminal. My experiences with Walmart in NewLiskeard have been 95% of the time good ones. Sometimes the shelves are lacking items, they seem to have problems keeping up with the demands. I find the cashiers work hard and are friendly and kind. Never forget everyone, yes everyone has a bad day once in a while. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars are the self check out machines. I will never use them and if Walmart goes strictly to those machines, I will not use them. Walmart has already lost my on line shopping which was a twice a month, sometimes more order. They changed the delivery rules again a few months back and that was it for me. The reason I liked this shopping experience was because they deliver to the door. I’m a senior without a vehicle and that service was important to me. So I went to Amazon who has as many choices. Sometimes i pay an extra .50 cents but its worth it, AND amazon ships in good sturdy boxes, as well as all liquids are sealed in a plastic bag.

The item I was looking for said it was in stock online but because this item is so hard to find, I called the store to confirm that the websites inventory was accurate, and told the person on the phone the specific item I was looking for. Without any hesitation the employee told me that the websites inventory was accurate. So I made the 30min drive to this store and it turns out they didn't have the item at all. Upsetting that the inventory and employee were incorrect and I made the trip for nothing.

Walmart Yellowknife This is a normal size Walmart, not a Supermart. They have groceries but no cooler for milk or orange juice etc. Still a good stop with plenty of items. I want to point out an employee whom I asked where to find Krazy Glue. He knew of three areas and I went and found what I wanted. Great job on his behalf knowing where my item was located. This location is clean and can be busy. Good size parking lot and they have a McDonald's inside.

I resent being forced to do a cashier's job at the self check out without being paid or getting a discount for my services. Then, after dropping several hundred dollars each time I shop, I have my receipt checked at the door like a common criminal. The return service has now changed and is not as flexible as it was. That was what set Walmart head and shoulders over the competition and it will be the straw that broke the camel's back to undo them. Obviously Walmart's are now foreign owned by those who are clueless about customer service.

The customer service was impeccable and the establishment was very clean with a wide selection of product that suit a variety of needs from groceries and pet items to a variety of electronics. Their prices are always some of the best with amazing deals everyday. They also offer online ordering with curbside pickup. Their lines move very fast and with it being one of the more popular places to shop they always handle every rush with grace.

My experiences there were mainly positive. My only negative experience was this woman at the customer service counter. I had done all my Christmas shopping 2 days before Christmas, and had this cart piled high with toys, and had been there 3 hours. For some reason beyond my control my debit card was declined and the cashier(who was very understanding) brought me to the service desk and we asked if I could leave my cart there and run home and get my husbands card. The woman at the counter was very rude and said “half an hour! You have half an hour to get back here, or all this goes back on the shelves! Do you understand?!!” I was almost 9 months pregnant and huge and exhausted and was close to tears. I guess I took too long to start hauling my pregnant butt away and she says”GO!”. I lived on the opposite side of town and had to really boot it home to get back on time. My husband had to go pay because I was too upset and tired. I wish I had complained about her! But I guess that was like, over 7 years ago now, so hopefully she’s history!

Definitely a great place to come if you need a quick snack, this store has pretty much everything you ever need. Groceries, toys, sports equipment, books and furniture. The prices range from very cheap to moderately expensive, however most things of the Great Value brand you can find for very cheap. I always have a love-hate relationship with Wal-Mart because it always seems to be out of stock on items I want, even if they are not on sale. However, as a general rule, the customer service is great and the selection is definitely decent in the entertainment area. I find that ad match makes them competitive with other places, but I believe that also contributes to the lack of stock that always seems to occur.

A variety of items are available that I cannot find at other big shopping centers. Good selection of alternative items (gluten-free, dairy- free vegan etc). Always clean. Staff are usually helpful and friendly although sometimes you need to track someone down for help.

It is a one-stop shop, I mean c'mon ..it's Walmart! - Open early & closes late, holidays are no problem either as they're very reliable when it comes to finding a store thats open for some of those last minute gift shoppers, like myself.???? Good knowledgeable and friendly staff, very welcoming and helpful. From food to toys to furniture to camping supplies -they have it all. I am Appalled that as a Senior with hip issues, that you ONLY have 2 sometimes 3 working motorized carts. The last 4 times I have come to your store there are ZERO carts available. One day I waited 1/2 hr for one to be returned and Finally LEFT YOUR STORE!!!! I have decided that my money is not needed at your store. Bad produce but the prices on toiletries, medications, etc. are pretty good. Pharmacy staff are great, other than that though the staff don't really know what they're doing and aren't very helpful, if you can even find someone to help you. I wouldn't buy anything from here that you want to last, like a tv or furniture, because it probably won't.

We arrived to see a line-up to get in the store. It was about 40 -50 people long but it moved quite quickly. All the social distancing measures were set up and everyone was happy to comply. We were entering the store within 15 minutes. We found most of the items we wanted quickly so the next people were able to come in as we exited. Although some items have increased in price most are still very reasonably priced. The staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We used a self check out and had very little problem navigating the system...we even missed a few items and had to go back into it to add them. We needed help with fruit and vegetables that needed to be weighed. All in all a great experience

today they forced people to put their groceries in garbage bags. I have carpal tunnel and dont drive. thus was forced into pain and embarassment of carrying groceries home in a garbage bag down great northern road. and before I got home the bag ripped open and spilled everything everywhere because they refused to provide more than 1 bag per customer.

Worst customer service ever!! Your reps are far too pushy to get people to use the self checkouts! I do not and will not support them. When I say NO I do not wish to use them I mean NO so back off!! Don't keep hounding me. This employee hounded 3 more people after me the same way! None of us were impressed. I have already stopped shopping at your store less then before and now will lower my trips there again. Shame on you Walmart! I just tried to call the woodstock location to speak to the manager and was on hold for 15 minutes to only get hung up on. Then I called back and was on hold for another 10 minutes to get told the manager wasn't in and the assistant manager failed to take the call!!

This is worst store in whole canada, im a trucker i went there day before easter on 9.03 they got closed 9 bt doors were open staff was present self check out was opened too. I requested them to let me have one case of water cause all stores were closed and gas stations were out of stock. I beg infront of them for help and told them otherwise i have to drive whole night withouy water bt the staff was so rude and they not let me have water i parked my truck infront of gate to show im actual driver bt they said no.. one hand these people being live on everywhere saying thank you truckers and on other hand not even help to get water. Shame on you guys for doing this in this bad corona time.

This place was real busy and the customers were rude. Power went out while we were there and the staff (like any retail safety program I've seen) instructed the customers to go to the front of the store. There were a lot of mouthy customers and just plain ignorant people. As for the store the housewares area was trashed... Groceries were ok... What I expect from Walmart. Don't know if that's good or bad.

Tried to purchase a video game that was cheaper at EB games and they would not allow me to price match with them. They also said they would not price match any online ad. Had to search around to find the same price at Best Buy for them to price match. Ill just go to EB games next time. The price matching policy states "We’ll gladly Ad Match with proof of the current in store retail price of any competitor’s ad (printed or digital) for an identical item, provided that the item is in stock."

Walmart does pretty good at keeping the stuff I want in stock. I shop at Walmart only because my wife work for Walmart for a couple of years over the winter. The thing that stood out for us was there training program which was good & stressed respect for the individual. Of course they have there flaws, but don't we all. The Supercentre has a Canadian Tire which is a great resources & I visit regularly & Mr. Submarine which makes a sub close to the original I enjoyed in the early 1970's when I use to visit my grandmothers in Toronto.

It has everything you need. I used self serve checkout and I have to say I was impressed as there was a worker who cleaned each machine between customers and guided you to the clean register. This is the first time I’ve seen this happen and it was nice to see.

Its not so much the Walmart itself it's the people that go there, I've had a few unpleasant encounters as well as the amount of garbage just left around the store. No customer is allowed to leave without a receipt being marked and never, I repeat NEVER use their bathrooms.

Inside the store has always been great. BUT their new grocery pickup has been a joke! Theres no lights in the back area, staff has been on the phone everytime we go, I had to get out and load myself with 2 kids after 15 min of waiting, this time they didnt even answer the pickup phone line! We had to call the store and still no groceries... it's been 20 minutes. Will not recommend to anyone.
