I was sadly disappointed with my visit to canadale nurseries today. So many plants wilting with rock hard soil and im not surprised, given the care i saw from one of the employees watering. Dont get me wrong, canadales IS a great nursery but apparently not this one. I recommend better training for your seasonal or student help.

I could get lost here forever! Trees for days! Lots of garden decor and fairy garden items too! Even really cool mock homes with real gardens for examples and ideas. I just wish that they had some more affordable smaller plants for people on a budget. Seriously though.... saving up for a tree a year from this place! And if you're looking for a place to just walk around and enjoy looking at plants and garden items I highly recommend. Grab an ice cream from Shaw's down the road and enjoy the view. I bet you won't walk out empty handed.

Trees, shrubs, plants and flowers! So many trees to pick from, and great prices IF you come at the right time (closer to the fall season). Really helpful staff, especially if you need planting help, or which trees to pick. Word of warning though, delivery prices to London are quite expensive, so you're best off not coming in a small car if you want to pick something up.

My favourite nursery. Well worth the drive (I live an hour away). So much variety, including plants, trees and shrubs not available in most nurseries. Fair prices too. I love their sample/display gardens. And I love that each garden has a "map" so you can recreate it, or find out what each plant is so you can buy your favourites. Just a great store!

Really great selection of fruit trees! I was all over London looking for a Cherry tree but all the other garden centres/nurseries had only a few trees available, Canadale had TONS in multiple varieties and they were all beautiful and healthy. Staff was also super pleasant and helpful

Due to Covid: Children 16 and under are not allowed on the premises. We came to the store four times and turned back three times due to the long lines. They stand behind everything they sell with a one year guarantee so you know the quality will always be good. They also carry garden accessories, sell hot dogs etc in case you get hungry while shopping . I've been coming here for over 20 years and its been fun watching them grow over the years. It's always my first stop in the spring.

It is a nice place to go. When they are in full swing, in summer time. They have a good mixture of bulbs for planting . But the washrooms are not opened for young children , or adults ,only place avalible is an outhouse outside, in the parking lot. During covid so make sure you are not travelling far .lots of Easter ornaments for you too chose from and in door plants. Lots of nice clothing for women, but very expensive. We will go back when fully opened as they have a great mixture of out door plants.

Terrible customer service. They charge 10% fee if you cancel your order. Because of covid19 they are only taking orders online. Unfortunately as I see taking advantage of it. I placed my order and decided to cancel minutes later because of the long wait pickup time. I felt this charge was really unfair. My order was supposed to be picked up 3 days later, which means they hadn’t even moved my products yet. But apparently “they had” To charge the restocking fee anyways. I have had to cancel online orders before in stores such as rona and home depot and none of them charge this fee.

I love the selection of this greenhouse Stunning plants of all kinds plus they also have garden art, accessories and clothing. They have an incredible selection of trees, shrubs and perennials. On site also includes various outdoor garden displays for any garden area. Shade, poolside, sunny, butterfly and much more. All plants used to create these displays are available here too and they have customer appreciation sales and points for more savings. Spring time they bring in a wide variety of annuals, tropicals and vegetables. Perfect place to get your grow on! The gift shop area has candles, lotions, clothing, statues. Lots of crafts and gifts, really cute things ???? For the small city of st Thomas this place is fairly massive and provides lots of products, classes and helpful service. Oh and seasonal planters too !

There's a lot of selection but no one is walking around to ask whether they can help you- they only control the flow of traffic- at least that was my observation from the two times I was there in one day to get all my plants. That was the only disappointing thing, was feeling like I had to hold in my questions. Plants are beautiful and there is an array of them inside and outside the greenhouse. A little $$$ in all honesty but there is a guarantee on them that comes with your purchase.

Lots of beautiful flowers and a wide selection of different trees and shrubs. Staff is friendly and willing to help. The only negative experience I have had was that I bought a small cactus and paid more to get one that was flowering. After a few weeks the flower fell off when I was watering the plant and I realized the flower had been glued on the cactus. I was extremely disappointed and would not buy a cactus or succulent from them again.

I am deeply disappointed by the fact that Canadale is forcing customers to wear a face mask and refusing service to people with existing medical conditions who cannot safely wear them. There is no consideration given to this whatsoever and now I cannot shop there. I understand the fact that they are trying to stay safe and I fully support and understand that thinking. However, a large part of their business is outdoors, where people can easily physically distance from each other and last I checked it is indoors or a confined space that the virus can easily spread. Inside their nursery, physical distancing can easily be handled by limiting the number of people within that space, which they are already doing anyway. The use of masks is meant for places where people cannot physically distance from one another so their insistence that people wear them is confusing and really just an extra precaution on their part. Furthermore, the government has not mandated that this is mandatory and has even said that where people are being asked to wear them, exemptions should be made in certain circumstances, such as pre-existing conditions and that people should be sensitive to these circumstances. I am being barred from a business because of a medical condition that is not in my control and that is terrible business practise on their part. They are the ONLY business that I know of which is actually refusing service to people with a medical condition. Other nurseries in the area are not doing so and I know because I have checked. I have been a long time customer but after this, I don’t think I will be returning and my business will go to those individuals who are reasonable and compassionate.

It might be a bit pricier than some other garden centres, but it's because "you get what you pay for," as the saying rightly goes. So, what are you paying for? Excellent service, free kids club activities, knowledgeable staff and those extra touches that make you feel like a valued customer - like free pictures with Santa at Christmas, and a fresh cut, a clean wrap, and carry-to-car service with a Christmas tree purchase.

Always a great walk around kinda place. Lots of neat decor items, as well as typical nursery plants and such. I find that the prices for decor items are marked up greatly and appear quite expensive. Was there on a Saturday for their Christmas workshop. The place was packed, but you hardly noticed because of the way it was run. They had reindeer outside for the children. Santa was inside. When one of the workshops finished the staff quickly cleaned up and set up for the next one. Very well organized staff. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and polite to the people who were creating their Christmas centerpieces. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Extremely disappointed with the way they treat possibly customer. Demanding you wear a mask before shopping in their outdoor facility. If you don’t have one they will sell you one that doesn’t do anything anyway. I chose not to shop there and as a result they lost a fairly good sale. Poor business practice. In my opinion. The masks that some of the people were wearing were ridiculous.

I went here to get a few plants for my balcony and wound up spending just under $100.00. The plants are very good quality and are thriving. Something I like about this location is their ideas section where they design and lay out different kinds of gardens catering to different tastes. There's also a huge selection of garden accessories and tools. It can be a bit pricey though.

Customer service is terrible, especially from Jess the manager. Spent approx $1500 on trees, paid full price, then offered no price protection as they had a sale two days later. I've never heard of such inflexibility in all my years. When we asked to contact ownership, she said don't waste your time as they are inaccessible and never around. I should add that when I returned a tree, Jess gave me a hard time and accused me of having already planted it. I'll never buy from there again.

I have been their regular customer for many years but now they lost me. Over the last 8 years I've purchased 8 fruit trees from them (3 pears, 4 apples and one plum). This year i finally realized that all the trees I purchased from Canadale bear no or very little fruit compared to the trees I bought in other places, even though they enjoy exact same conditions (quality of soil, the amount of sun, etc). For a long time i thought the trees were still young, but now i realize there must be some problem with them. It's not normal that seven year old pears produce no more than 3-5 pears a year. I think this has to do with their practice of replanting unsold trees in the fall. Last year I asked their associate when they usually have sales on unsold trees and she said that at the end of the season the trees that were not sold go back to the nursery. I was shocked. I am not a professional gardener but it's common sense that this practice is not good for trees, as they remain stunted for way too long. Not only are their prices the highest in London area, their policies also reveal greed and poor custom service. I wasted so much money and now it's too late to return older trees.

They seem to cary more anual than perennials as i was lioking for Aster, Delphinium, Hydrangea and Peony or Dicentr but they seemed to have none of these.

Good selection of products but that's where the positives end. Terrible customer service. Conflicting information given out, no attempt to be helpful. And their mask policy is inconsiderate and prone to creating conflicts. I witnessed a lady, who was forced to wear a mask, to breathing problems because of a medical condition. She was asked three times to put the mask back when she temporarily had to remove it. When I told the manager that it is not what the provincial recommendations are (no forcing of mask wearing and no asking why and if there is a medical reason) the manager said that they had their own rules. And picture that, a nursery is an open space, not a closed in space..you would expect a reasonable approach. This is bullying at its best.

We have been shopping at Canadale for years. Their tree selection is wonderful and their prices are very fair. The kids club craft area is great and my kids have enjoyed it. There are always lots of events going on so be sure to check out their website. We have also come to visit the reindeer and Santa around Christmas time.

This garden centre gets 5 stars due to the selection of unique varieties and over all selection and quality of the plants/trees and shrubs. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Most plants, trees and shrubs guaranteed for one year from purchase date.

A great place for those hard to find plants and general nursery stock. But if your just looking for bedding plants etc then you can go to any other local seasonal garden center and buy your plants for about 15% less at any of them. If your in St Thomas check out Briwood Farm Market. I found plants there at a good price that even this place didn't sell until fall and I needed them now as they were perennials that didn't come back this yr. On a side note these perennial were @ 6 or more yrs old and close to the sdwk and between driveways. I think salt may have been a factor even though I am very careful not to throw any salt treated snow on this bed. I can't control what the city does

very organized and large. The trees and plants are very good, and they have guarantees on some of the items. The staff is very friendly, and the check out is fast and courteous. They have sample gardens so you could get inspired as to how to organize your own. It is very EASY to spend money at this place because it is always fun to shop for beautiful plants.

Today we returned a tree we had bought last year, which had died, as it was guaranteed. Prices had changed from last year's so we had to pay a $10.00 difference. Why did we have to pay extra? This does not seem right!

DO NOT buy houseplants from Canadales; I bought a Gardenia from there and about less than a week later it was so heavily infested with aphids it almost contaminated my other house plants. Family Flowers always has much better quality plants and pest free 110% of the time. I called Canadales and they basically told me 'too bad, that's not our problem they can't be from our greenhouse we have no aphid problems here and we don't do refunds' not that I want more plants from that greenhouse or to even go back but a little friendly customer service ever killed no body.

I really enjoyed my visit yesterday! When I got there I was politely greeted by a young gentlemen in a ball cap (I think his name was Tanner from what I overheard) I wanted to purchase a nice cactus for my room and he was amazing by directing me where to go!! This place is an electric factory. From the minute I entered I knew this was the place I wanted to get my shrubbery from. The customer service was on a new level, I felt like a VIP wherever I went. I will never go another nursery again. Stop by if you're in the area, it is a MUST.

For about a week, my wife had been calling the local London nurseries to find a Himalayan Birch tree for our front yard. She eventually called Canadale Nursery in St Thomas. Canadale Nurseries was the only company that returned her call! The sales associate confirmed that they had stock of this beautiful tree. I went to the nursery on an extremely busy Saturday in mid May just to have a look. The greeter introduced me to Sebastion when I explained I was looking for a tree. Sebastion was professional and quickly showed me the current stock, advised me on how I could easily transport the tree in my minivan and how to properly plant the tree. I was very impressed with how simple the process would be to transport and plant the tree by myself, that I made my purchase decision in less than 2 minutes! The price was very reasonable for the large tree I was getting. After paying, Sebastion efficiently and expertly wrapped the tree in burlap and secured the soil in the planter (from falling out in my vehicle). Next, he brought the tree to my car and loaded it with care. All I had to do is basically guide the leader branches through the inside of my vehicle. Sebastion secured the leader branch so it did not bend in the wind. Forty-five minutes later, I was home in London and my wife was absolutely delighted to see the beautiful mature tree. Overall, I can say that I had very positive and pleasant experience with Canadale Nursery and would recommend this facility for buying trees. I look forward to taking my wife to this nursery for all our gardening needs in the future.

A little disappointed. Each year my wife and I grow hot peppers because I enjoy the heat and flavour of them. They are $9.99 which is a bit pricey as their is a store on the north end that sells them for $4.99. I bought some 7 pod and Trinidad Congo Habanero and a few other ones. The 7 pod is coming up as Chocolate 7 pod which will have a different flavour. I had one that was mislabeled last year as well. Might be time for me to make a switch in places.

Very disappointed! Went in and had several items on the cart and then was told at 5:07 the store is closed and all the tils were closed so i couldnt even buy the items selected. Walking out there were at least 6 - 8 employees watching me walk out. Couple hundred dollars worth of sales and someone couldnt open a til??

Disappointed to say the least. Came with my daughter who is three, we also showed up with masks to abide by their guidelines that they have listed on their website. When we got there they denied us entry due to my daughter being too young to enter due to their Covid guidlines, no age requiremenr on website. ( even though she was going to wear a mask) But what I found stupid was they were letting people over 60 into the facility whom are in more harm of the Covid. Was my first time there and will never return.
