Here you have all the information of people who have information of the products of Halifax Seed Co.Inc. (Pest Control) in the area of Saint John (Canada).
Currently the business receives a score of 4.2 stars over 5 and that score is based on 122 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is really good, and it is based on a very high number of opinions, so we may be pretty sure that the rating is quite faithful. If people have bothered to value when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Pest Control is included in the category of Garden center.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Wide variety of products
Knowledgeable friendly staff. Wide assortment of products.
Best place for small engine repair and wood cutting supplies and parts.
Kinda pricey, but great service.
Great Staff, Excellent Company
I picked up some spare parts here today, it took 2 trips though. My first stop the 2 parts counter guys were swamped with customers so I waited a while. The entire time there were 2 employees at the seed counter chatting with each other. Obviously during the winter the seed desk would be quite slow. Why wouldn't these 2 employees come over to the parts counter to help out waiting customers? Maybe they are not trained, maybe they should be crossed trained so all employees could help at both counters. I ended up leaving and dropping back in to get the parts later on. The guys were freindly and served me well. They had a good selection of Honda, Toro, and Husqvarna snow blowers.
There starting to get it together as far as hydroponic items but they have a ways to go and they need a really grow expert there to help the growers out they try but don't have the experience with marijuana maybe I should apply and get the ship sailing in the right direction were talking that store could bring in a million or more in no time what a spot and great people
One of my favourite places to go. Dangerous for me, because I want to spend more money than I should in this store.
Love this local gardening store! Always have great service! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have lots of grow equipment and nutrients. Pretty much a one stop shop for anything gardening and growing.
Service work done here. Did not keep all the old parts like asked, and broke a part on it and are not taking responsibility for it. However the machine does run smoother now
Good service and stock are available
Not what it use to be but will see in spring
Great selection of gardening supplies
I had Bad Luck with them this year. Very discouraging that they do not have their very own delivery system and rely on a third party delivery system, who know less about snow blowers than I do. I asked if they would take a new snow blower I bought from them just this year on a trade in for another, even though I knew I would lose money on the deal, the answer was no. So I went elsewhere to another dealer and bought a new Honda.
Good selection of items for all seasons and friendly helpful staff.
Excellent quality seeds! And garden equipment, tools soils.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Excellent service and support, good prices and always have what I need in stock
Staff are kind and knowledgeable, and they have a very good collection of seeds and fertilizer
Halifax Seed has many outdoor power tools.
Good knowledge staff prices alittle high
Great staff!! Many choices ☺️
Great Selection and Prices. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Terrible customer service, high prices and hard sell on chemical growing. If you're going to shop here for cannabis growing save your money and time, just buy miracle gro/monsanto they both have the same ethics.
Always good information and trained staff !!
Approximately four weeks ago I dropped a push mower off at Halifax Seed for a small warranty job. The spring had broken in the starter recoil. After two weeks I called to see where it was and they informed me that because they do so much warranty work that they had not gotten to it. Now four weeks later I called them for an update. Remember this is a spring that needs to be replaced and can be done in 15 minutes by myself. They told me it was done and that they are not sure if it is covered under warranty and that I will have to wait longer for this to be cleared up. Of course he said that I could just pay for it if I really need it. So, the conclusion is, Halifax Seed's warranty work is slow, and they will end up trying to charge you for the warranty work in the end. Based on this experience I will never buy something from them and the warranty isn't work the paper its written on. 2 Weeks Later: All things have been sorted out now. Halifax Seed charged me $122 for replacing the recoils starter which included a $5 "enviro" fee. I'm not sure what "enviro" has to do with a starter. It also apparently took them 45 mins to do the work which involves taking three screws out, then putting the same three screws back in. I called Troy-Bilt who graciously agreed to refund me the cost of the repairs, now that is customer service! No more Halifax Seed for me.
Very helpful staff and great selection of growing supplies indoor/greenhouse/and outdoor garden alike. If they don’t have it they’ll get it for you. Keep up the good work in helping to keep thumbs green.
Lovely shop for all your garden needs. But as per usual this covid stuff made it so they didn't have what I wanted in stock. But the ladies were very kind and helpful.
Do not buy anything from the Rothesay Ave Halifax Seed if you expect them to honor the warranty they are so proud to tell you about when you get sucked in to buying from them. Three year warranty on a Toro snow blower the sales man said... Nothing to worry about for three years... Nothing but BS!... They find a way to talk away any warranty claim, and will charge you to look at the machine before telling you if there is a warranty claim. You are at the mercy of this outfit and they have no mercy. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HALIFAX SEED SAINT JOHN N.B
Just found out that they are getting rid of lawn and garden parts and service especially equipment as this is the location I buy all my equipment that sucks that I have to find another supplier
I purchased a Toro snow blower that I was told had a warranty of three years. When I went to have the equipment fixed under warranty they didn't honor it even though the salesman who sold it to me told me "no problem with this. If any goes wrong in three years we will fix it". I will never do business there again and I will let everyone know how I've been treated. I a widow who lives on a fixed income and can't afford to be lied to.
Very knowledgeable
So much available, with some much knowledge. Great staff. Love going to store.
I've always had good experience in this store there's a lady that works there she was a retired nurse, what a great help. Me and my fiancée love this store:)
Very disapointed with this store. I have spent a lot there. I wont be back after todays strange episode. The staff is very unprofessional. I bought a bag of promix and the kid brings out 2 bags that are busted up and taped. I tell him i bought 1 bag and the bag he loaded is showing mold surounding the tape job. The other bag looks completely fluffy and half missing. I told the kid I don't want those I'd like to have a new bag. he completely started getting nasty about it telling me there's nothing wrong with them. I told him I have had issues with bugs in soil before and he told me that's completely normal. The bottom line is I don't want any busted up leftover bags that somebody has repaired and let mold and possibly get bugs. Promix bx is sterile inert grow medium. Its not up to an employee to argue with a customer about accepting damaged merchandise. I said i dont want it and it became an argument. No need for that in any way. The staff in general is not knowledgeable about their products and they give bad information and service. Be very careful shopping there. Do not listen to any advice from employees there. They will sell you anything and tell you anything. In addition to their poor service they also have very limited product availability. Months at a time without regular common inventory items. At least 50% of the time they don't have what they had last time. Very poor Inventory management. Maybe the kid was having a bad day. Proper training could avoid losing more customers. You cant get in arguments with customers even if they are wrong. Expecting me to accept a product that is damaged and arguing about it is a guaranteed way to lose business.
Great advice very helpfull staff
Got great advice on the purchase of an echo chainsaw!
Very busy but staff was helpful
Quoted $80 for a repair. Charged 150. A new machine costs 159. Crooks
It has been quite a while since I last visited this business. Gone is their power equipment sales and service and now their focus is on gardening. A good variety of indoor greenhouses and of course various seeds for vegetables and even microgreens. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and I will be back.
Brian is a wealth of knowledge. If you're new gardener or seasoned you will be amazing by his knowledge!
Pricey, but they have the best stuff!
Knowledgeable staff and a large selection of gardening needs.
Mislabeled seed packets a big problem for me. I bought seeds labeled bush beans and bush peas - they were not as labeled. Now I have to buy tomato cages to contain them. The very thing I was trying to avoid.????
Best prices/service in town. Great variety and lots of stock
Prices are above fair ,very knowledgeable staff and sell excellent quality product ????
Fantastic staff, and great pricing
Stopped in today to purchase a gas trimmer and was told there was a $15 pre-delivery inspection charge...on a gas trimmer! Never heard of that before and when I questioned the charge, the guy at the counter said he was just doing his job and had to tell me. He said it covered placing the trimmer in the system for warranty coverage. I reluctantly decided to move forward with the purchase as another shop I prefer to deal with was sold out of the model I wanted. With the transaction complete, I was asked to wait another 20 minutes for them to retrieve the model I wanted. I was short on time and had already been there 20 minutes so decided to get my money back. That wasn't received very well and the counter guy pushed the return change aside when I placed it back on the counter, mumbling something about the time it would take to process my refund. I was willing to wait at this point. When I left I decided to contact the dealer I normally do business with to ask if they charged PDI's on gas trimmers, they chuckled and said they never heard of that before...well they have now, because I told them about my experience here. They ordered the model I want and I will pick it up Tuesday.
Good selection of plants and lots of the other items gardeners need. Helpful friendly staff and a focus on keeping customers and staff healthy and safe.
