Lastly, we have been experienced by Hoyt's Moving of #SaintJohn how the #moving company grabbing money from it's clients by exploiting the situation. It's salesperson in Saint John Jerry Calhoun is having sever integrity issue. Though he is pretty much gentle and soft spoken by his approach but, it's pretty much disrespcful to deal with this guy. Giving heads up in advance to deal that specific guy...Be Catious. Long story short, last month we choose Hoyt's of @Canadamoving for our consignment from #SaintJohn to #Toronto. Once initial quotation was submitted it's quoted price was the highest, over $60 per lb. Even after then we choose Hoyt's due to other folk's word of mouth. Then, Jerry advised us if we could reduced our goods then, price could be reduced. Followed by that we reduced our significant number of goods but, not a single penny was reduced. Even after then, surprisingly Jerry charged us $150+HST for packing service which they didn't do at all and I spent almost whole day by email to settled it down. Lastly, once they sent me revised bill there I identified though that $150 related line item was removed but, $75 was charged by another name!!! Once I charged back Jerry with my finding then it was corrected by blaming it's own system! I wish the story could be finished over there but, no it wasn't. Once delivery date came up Mr. Jerry Calhoun again pop up with demand of additional $500+HST!!! Because, at delviery time on July 2 he identified in Toronto's Lawrance Avenue West they can't take their big trailer!!! Either we have to give that amount or they would throw our good into their warehouse!!! Feel nuts to choose @unitedcanada as well whose agent was that #canadamoving. Anyone would surprise to hear that Hoy'ts Misssuga warehouse just 15-20 mins far away from that delivery location and Jerry blamed Google Map for that mistake...lol. So, let's evaluate his integrity and expertise. Lastly, after paying additional $350+HST our goods was delivered.... So, whoever is in Saint John it's headsup to you again. We have shared the same with our all collegues and friends about such expeience with #canadamoving and #unitedcanada. Just a bit shocked by experienced such unethical stuff from one of the #BestManaged company #CanadianAssociationofMovers #BBBAtlantic .

Hoyt’s Saint John moved us today. I would highly recommend them. From the in-Home quote to the professional manner of the movers who never quit until the move, the entire process was painless. The guys made every attempt to put a sofa in the basement even though I was skeptical from the beginning, one team member repaired an exercise machine when he noticed why the heart rate monitor wasn’t working, and an enormous dresser that went to the second floor in error was taken all the way to the basement without complaint. Five star service for sure!

Make sure you opt in to their moving insurance. For us, it represented a 25% add-on. We opted out of their insurance because we were talking storage at the time which we were covered by our home insurance. They damaged our expensive tilting king size bed and we were out of luck for any significant remediation. No attempt to fix. No apology. Call the adjuster is all they would say. The default is 60 cents per 100 lbs. insurance. But deductible was too high and we had to take the $180. Apparently my bad for misunderstanding what they were offering. Don't do the same mistake! Take the insurance. You'll probably need it.

So i follow their process and submit detailed item list as well as a follow up email the next morning. I'm told "we're booked until the 3rd or 4th." I ask if they had any availability for the 27th \ 28th. I get an immediate response saying they have an opening on the 27th so I called and cleared with the new resident manager for those dates. I replied back in under an hour to confirm the move. No response for 24 hours until i sent a another follow up email. Response "no, sorry, we had a federal move come in and i cannot cancel." wow.. I hope the federal government brings you lots of business - screw the local residents, eh!
