Every time I have ever dealt with this Rona, I have been met with huge failure, like yesterday, I wanted a sheet a oak plywood, ok order online says they have 8 sheets in stk. Go to the store, have to drive to the back to get my order and was told not to get out of my truck "Its the law" she said. asked the young guy after he put the sheet in my truck about the sheet, he confirmed it was, drove out to the road and checked, it was birch plywood, drive back, removed it, refunded.. and not 1 person i dealt with even said sorry, go back to Home Depot, they are a lot more accurate, never again Rona

Horrid customer service experience. The salesperson couldn't be bothered to look for a shower attachment I needed. He just said "we don't have those here." I went to another store who also didn't have the identical item I wanted, but showed me an attachment that would work, and it was also about $50 cheaper than the original.

I love Rona this brand, but not this st.cathatines location. We bought some stuffs from online and went there for picking them up yesterday, some of their employees are unfriendly and quite like unpaid. For picking up you have to go to inside of the store to find customer service, and wait for a couple of minutes since there's nobody. They give you a online order receipt but then you have to go to cashier to recheck your receipt, but the man in customer service don't tell you that. And then they direct you with unfriendly, inpatience attitude to wait at one of the cashier for that kinds of online order approval. You have to wait in the line for no reason since I've already waited at customer service for a couple of minutes. AFTER THAT, you have to drive your car to the warehouse of the store backyard, and wait for another 20 minutes even there's only us and another customer in the line. They just let you to wait there for 3 times to waste your time. Everybody's time is money and that's a online order just needs to be picked up. Next time I will go to Homedepot. I will never go to this location again.

Staff working was super friendly, they deserve 5 stars, company gets a 1 Star. So I had to buy something online, and I used a coupon. They emailed me back saying they couldn't fulfill part of my order. The refunded me less then the price of the item. They canceled part of the coupon price. My total order even without the item was still above the amount to use the coupon. "When an item is returned or cancelled it will not relocate the discount to the remaining items." Why is it the customer's fault that their online stock says it's available and it's not so it gets canceled, my total order is still above the min order to get the discount. They are refusing to honour their coupon because their online ordering system sucks. This is why I'd rather just shop at Home Depot or Canadian Tire.

Why do I come here. Never do they have what I need. The return section is sloooooow. 5 other tills open yet they only do returns on one. Yes the return line is the biggest.......staff never comes to ask if u need assistance. 08/18/2020: once again I give this place a chance, needed a 10amp fuse. They do not carry fuses and was told to go to Canadian Tire. I shall never step foot in the store ever again. TSC is down the street, they are 10X better. Wish there was a zero star rating for this. Closure of this location is heavily necessary......

Waited over an hour for curb-side pickup. Then when it was finally our turn the associates were actually balancing our items on their heads as they brought it to our vehicle. They were so rough on our items that some of them got damaged and they damaged our vehicle putting everything in even when we basically begged them to please let us do it. Will never EVER be back, nor would I ever recommend.

When I ordered my products online. I got an email 4 hours later saying that they didn’t have my product in stock. When I called into the store I was told their system is flawed and that they didn’t in fact have the product I needed. I tried to express how upset I was at the fact that I now have to place another order elsewhere and wait longer for what I needed and have to wait 3-5 days for my money back. When I said that this was unprofessional, I was told to have a nice day and was hung up on. Unfortunately, I have to say that this isn’t the first issue that I’ve had with this store. Lowe’s it is!

Always a pleasure to shop here for DIY projects or for contract projects. Terry at the Pro Desk is always a source of inspiration and a fountain of knowledge. The store manager runs a tight ship and staff is always available to help out. On many occasions Rona is able to match Home Depot pricing. Keep up the great work guys.

This year I was looking for a gazebo and thought to support my local Rona. I have to say though that my service experience at this location has been terrible. As I write this I am waiting for curbside pickup on hold for “service” for 15 minutes and counting. Called several times before being placed on “hold” only to be hung up on. My experience shopping was terrible as far as costumer service goes. I was in the store 2 times this season, once for over 45 minutes and was never asked if I needed help despite numerous “employees” passing me by. Now 30 minutes on “hold”. Had to go in the store which I was trying to avoid with curbside... there is clearly no order prepared. Yep.. no prepared .. a few young people running around asking me to go around back as they pick it. There is literally no point in ordering ahead for curbside. Kids were great... management needs to wake up.

Just needed a replacement part for my shower. It was hard to get service, in fact when someone finally paged for service when the store associate arrived he helped a person who just arrived to the section instead of me. When I was able to finally get help I was told I would need to bring in the part to compare. Well ok, understandable. So I went home for the old part and due to the long wait I decided I would try any other hardware store but they didn’t have the part. Reluctantly I returned, part in hand and after the same long wait I was able to favor the attention of a young intern willing to suss out the matching piece. I get home and presto all is fine... until a few showers later that part broke!! I returned with part and receipt in hand and after waiting in line was told that only checkout 4 handled returns but not after 4pm. (No where in fine print did I see this was true.) I returned AGAIN the next day prior to the 4pm deadline and proceeded to checkout 4 directly. But Checkout 4 said that they can’t handle this type or return?!? And I had to go to customer service. This is where it gets bad. An intimidating employee at customer service told me he doesn’t handle returns checkout 4 does. I told him that checkout 4 said I had to come to customer service. He said ‘what do you expect me to do’ and I replied, ‘replace the defective part?’ And he said he would not. I tossed the part into the nearby trash bin and proceeded to Canadian Tire where I spent a bit more but got the entire shower assembly and good service for just a bit more. BTW - apparently after telling my family and friends about this bad experience I was not shocked to find they had similar experiences with this Rona location also. Shame on you Rona!

Terrible customer service. Just went in to get some underlay. Looked on the rack and the price was clear....10.99. Got up to the cash with 2 rolls and it came to $59. Proceeded to walk the cashier over to the rack showing her the price as marked with about a dozen rolls on that shelf. She said that was the wrong ticket. Asked where the correct ticket was and she didn't know. Then she procededed to stare at me blankly. At this point I told her I would rather pay more at home depot...I really tried to support the canadain retailer. Not anymore.

Been doing my online orders with this store since the out break great service every time from the staff. Went today for the first time in store shopping safety glass up for staff and customers at all tills and counters staff on floor ready to help you find you items. The yard is ran nice with cones and sings 3 guys were out back detecting your to your items and keep safe distances loading.

Terrible online ordering system. Items show in stock then email confirmation after you pay says it will be delayed more that a week. I’ve waited a week and a half now. I can be super patient, and understanding that things are different now but when the staff seem annoyed and are huffing at every question I have and cutting me off, that makes me not so happy with the service not yet received. Once this order comes in Rona will no longer exist to me. Too bad because it’s quite a convenient location for me. I will gladly spend my money at your competitors store that values there customers.

Fantastic smaller DIY spot with very friendly service. They've been around for decades now serving the community. I used the safe curbside pickup on Sunday and was treated with kindness and quick no trouble delivery service to my car. Definitely be back in the near future. Just a quick kudos shout-out to a young man Rona employee that was dealing with a very difficult "karen" customer while I was there in the parking spot next to me, and after i was listening closely and watching the lip-lashing that this particular woman was given the young man (she was 2 feet apart and she wasn't wearing a mask the entire time but the employee was), going on on how the website I formation for ordering particular project was not noted or described properly. I've felt he frustration in the past with that very concern, albeit like myself, if you look close enough the information is there. If she would have purchased that project type in the past, the she also would have known. Her handling of the situation was completely unacceptable. With the assistance of an additional senior staff member, she was able to get what she wanted and left. My point is, during these tough new covid difficult times, we all need to be more patient, understanding, loving, and accepting of each other and knowing that we are all trying to adapt on the fly and help each other out and do our best. The young man's attitude, dispotion, and handling of the situation was stellar. I pulled him aside after as a witness bystander, and told him just that. Don't let the weak and self-entitled of society bring down the strong and best ones. He is definitely a strong one and a valuable employee in my opinion. Keep up the good work!!

Purchased a new sliding door recently from this location. Yard staff were helpful and polite while loading, door was a good price. Only thing that I didn't like was the staff on the inside that processed our order of the door. My father, girlfriend and I were treated very rudely while the woman behind the counter, her associate Norm, (shoutout to Norm for being rude and wearing a nametag) and a third person who may or may not have worked at the store literally laughed and mocked us as we worked out the details of how we would bring the door home. I did not enjoy this, and ended up having to cut short their banter. I wish i had more names as overall the store was not so bad, just don't ask any questions or look for help from the customer service representatives as they will berate you and make a mockery of your efforts. Good times.

I have never had a good experience with this particular Rona. Anytime I call in I am dealt with in a rude manner (it ALWAYS seems like an inconvenience, one person at the service desk answered the phone with "what do you need?"). The only saving grace here is that the people in the yard are friendly and knowledgeable. I'd rather drive to the Welland Rona where I know my business is appreciated. Do better.

Since the lockdown, Rona has done little to nothing to assist its customers. I don't have a credit card, and they won't allow their customers to pay via debit at the doors. I don't understand why I can't call in, talk to a representative, place my order & pay at the doors (while standing outside). Their competitor, Canadian Tire, on Louth Street in St. Catharines is doing this!). Rona, it's no wonder your stores are second rate. Up your game! Poor management at best!

Then proceeds to laugh at us cause we had a bit of mud on us from wprking in construction.. the price for 3 locks was 35.99$ they charge us 47.99$ and say "oh well, we can't do anything" how is this ok?!!!! I did not want to drive through the back “mud” area so I asked the male cashier ( no name tag) if I could have the order delivered curd side in which He responded with “No, I can give you a refund or you can go and buy it some where else” so I asked for the manager which he responded with “go to the service desk”. The agent was helpful and arranged for the single item to be brought up from the yard. When exiting the store I mentioned to the male clerk that I understand the customer is not always right but the customer is a customer with no response or apology except from the female clerk who rudely asked me to leave the store, wow! I am in need of 700 sq. ft. of flooring and a new BBQ I will take the male clerk’s advice and go some where else...

You need to pay for them?” Tons of attitude. I’m sorry I did not know the patio stone purchasing protocol. That’s sort of why I was calling... purchased a large amount of the same patio stones at a different store for slightly cheaper

Go anywhere else. This Rona has the worst organization. I placed a phone order and paid for the item up-front using my credit card. The lady told me the item would be in within a week, but when I never heard back, I called in and they had NO contact information for me. No name or phone number. They said someone must have deleted it or not saved it. My credit card was already charged so after about 30-45 min on hold, they were able to find the order with my credit card info. After 3 weeks, the item finally came in (not within a week as quoted on the phone). I rented a truck for 90min thinking this would be sufficient time to grab an order and drop it off at my house. On Friday May 7th, we arrived at Rona St Catherine’s at 5:35pm, we called the number and after 10-15min someone came out with a paper and told us to get in the drive-in line-up (MAKE SURE you have the paper first). There were only about 4 vehicles in front of us, but we waited until 7:30PM!!! The staff were standing around throwing tape balls and taking smoke breaks. In summary, it took almost 3 hours to do curb-side pick-up for ONE item. I got charged DOUBLE for my truck rental because I brought it back late. This place needs to figure out a better system.

Was at rona st catharines today to price match and apparently because it's the exact same item but 1 store is not going to carry it anymore they will not price match what a joke that store is to think I have been purchasing all my building materials there well not anymore. I will now be dealing with home Depot as I went there and with no question asked it was done what a joke the rona company is.

I went to Rona today because I felt unwelcome at another hardware store. I never right reviews, but feel like I have to. The young man who I asked where I could find something was extremely helpful. When I found what I was looking for, he came over with another product and explained it to me. I then asked him for something else, he later walked over with the hose (unfortunately it was the wrong size). I didn't get his name, but customer service well done:) Thank you for making it a more welcoming more experience.

Due covic but we cant choice the own lumber at the price we paid the lumber twice and the lumber edge is so bad cant screw the sheet one side stand up and the sheet drywall not flush to get a better job and we install the baseboards going be bad finished.

Bought a bunch of flooring that was on special. They did not have enough boxes at the time of purchase. I Was told to come back in 4 days and it would be there. It unfortunately was not and I was notified that it wouldn't be there until january. The manager at this store named Mike went the extra mile for me. He sent a employee all the way to a Rona in Erin Mills to retrieve the flooring that I requested. I am very grateful for him doing this and I will certainly be coming back to this store for future purchases. That is what i call great customer service. Thank you Mike.

Yesterday I went to Rona, Dunkirk, St. Catharines with skew number in hand for two bone toilets. I couldn't believe the run around I got. Having called the day before to ensure enough stock I knew the toilets were there. Going to the cash asked for help and got nothing but the run around for over 45 minutes. I received comments like - no they only have white, and no one answered the customer page, the staff was absolutely useless. How simple can it be. Look on the computer, see the stock and then get it. In the end, now an hour has slipped by and finally they locate the toilets. NONE in the store of course but OUTSIDE, I had to pay for the toilets and then drive around to the back of the lot and in the MUD fish out my own toilets. Not at all impressed.
