Lost my wallet at this gas station, tried calling numerous times to get in touch to see if anyone had returned the wallet, they don’t answer the phone. After phoning for about half an hour someone finally answered she was EXTREMELY rude and said nobody brought one in and she can’t check if it’s outside. Not the gas stations fault obviously that I lost my wallet, it is the extreme lack of customer service this lady had. When I went back to ask her in person about my wallet she was extremely rude in person as well and was ARGUING with me! Honestly will not be returning to this gas station because of her alone. I wish I have gotten her name but I will be contacting the manager/owner about this experience so they know how their staff treat customers. Not to mention I just spent $75 filling my tank there, and fill my gas there at least once a week.

Grabbed fuel and cigarettes..wasn't comfortable with the lady behind counter physically touching my ID. She became exuberantly aggressive and without any warning accused me of being "the one" that harrasses her staff in the evening...meanwhile I live 45 mins away and have a life enough to not spend time at a gas bar when not pumping gas. Extremely rude. Extremely miserable (forgiveable as she probably has a mundane existence) and extremely aggressive and rude. Avoid this store if at the least for convenience as location is horrid and a gas station exists 30 seconds away with much better accessibility. Terrible employee. Completely off putting. And an adult to boot that acted like my 7 year old daughter. Followed me out and screamed obscenities aswell. Real mature for 60 years old...

I brought my truck in for an oil change, came back to a $140 oil change bill rather than $70 -$80. They used synthetic oil without offering me the option of conventional oil. They said that my vehicle has to have synthetic oil. I disputed this based on pages 232 and 255 of the owner's manual, as well as contacting the service manager of the Ford Dealership who was actually disturbed they would put synthetic oil in my truck, as they discourage it in the owner's manual for Canadian versions of my and most Fords in fact. Canadian Tire's response was that in the United Sates they recommend synthetic oil so they say they were correct to use synthetic oil. I brought to their attention that we are in Canada and that my vehicle is Canadian registered. It even says on the oil filler cap use conventional. I offered them the opportunity to take the wrong oil out of my truck and replace with what they should have used. They refused and James their Service Manager was actually rude insisting that I pay the premium amount for an option was not offered. I did pay the full amount with the understanding I would research the facts, as I did and the facts support clearly the truck does require and in fact it is not recommended in the Canadian version. I can absorb being ripped off $50 but the principle of the matter is that they may be doing this to millions of customers across Canada, many times each per year. Check you past invoices at this location and if they My recommendation is that you do not trust the Canadian Tire on 4th avenue in St. Catharines - managed by Mr. McMaster and bring your owner's manual with you to any service shop and use the oil recommended by the manufacturer not the service people, synthetic has huge mark up compared to conventional oil and some manuals will tell you to not even use any additives in your oil as it may harm your engine, that is what mine said and synthetic is full of additives. Check you past invoices at this location or any Canadian Tire and if they used synthetic oil, check your owners manual see if you requires synthetic, chances are you don't. With Fords it is pretty much only Hybrid vehicles and one version of the Mustang. They can keep my $50, I plan to alert their customers through every avenue on social media so that they protect themselves.

Our truck broke down late on a Sunday afternoon, we were 4 hours from home and this was the only place we could find open with a mechanic on duty. They went out of their way to get parts and get it repaired before they closed. Exceptional customer service, the mechanic was great, and they even helped keep our dog from getting bored while we waited. Highly recommend this Canadian Tire.

Normally I don't bother with reviews... but I went here this morning about 9:30 a.m. to get rolling papers and I was ID'ed which I had no problem with .... I have been a customer at this store for nearly 5 years, it's not uncommon. However, I was then told by the lady working who was completely ignorant and NOT wearing a mask that I HAD TO REMOVE MY COVID MASK IN THE STORE so I can further prove identity... I told her I wasn't comfortable doing that because of the "pandemic" and was informed by her "that's to bad she's not serving me then!" I told her that's ridiculous and unsafe, only to get a shoulder shrug!! I told her I would be reporting this behavior and she said "O.K go for it!" So I left a report with head office and this review... I went down the road to Pioneer Gas Station and didn't have a problem with my ID and didn't need to remove any protective equipment to be served.... I don't think I'll be shopping at Canadian Tire Gas bar on Forth Ave. St. Catharines any further. I have shopped at this store Canadian Tire Gas bar for the last 5 years and never had this problem... I thought masks were mandatory?! Well not according to this employee!
