LOCAL and honest pest control company. This is not a franchise bent on selling services to folks that don't need them. The owner took the time to speak with me on the phone about WHY I suspected termites. After reviewing photos determined that I might indeed have a problem. Their inspector came out and determined that in fact there was nothing to be concerned about. Couldn't believe it. Will never call anyone else.

I’ve had them visit twice now. Michael is an awesome young man. He goes out of his way each time to make sure we have no more brown recluse spider issues or mosquito problems. He’s answered every question we have and even asked how our remodeling was going from the last visit. The customer service is by far the best and the prices are great. I called on a Monday and they came the next morning (they said between 9 and 11 and he showed up at 9:01 apologizing for not being earlier. I never leave reviews for anything but I really feel that STL Pest and Michael deserve it.

Woke up at 7am Sunday with a squirrel crawling along the top of my door frame to my closet. Left a message with STL Pest Control and they were out Monday to examine my home. The tech Mike, found an entry way just next to the front porch and the roof line. He laid some traps and explained the process and was very professional. He checked the whole roof for issues and that was the only hole. I never did find the squirrel that was in the house. I looked on top, under, around, inside of everything and couldn't find it. Maybe that's a good thing. Would recommend and will definitely use again.

What a good experience! We moved into our first house a few months ago and were disconcerted after glimpsing a few creepy crawly insects in dark corners. STL Pest Control has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced in home services. First, they are always on time. If they are going to be late, they call you! It seems like such a minor thing, but when you have a busy work schedule, its little courtesies like this that make the difference. Second, they have quick availability. In my experience with them, I can get an appointment the same week or the very next week. Third, they are affordable and make sure you are taken care of. STL Pest Control did my quarterly pest control, and a week later, I started noticing ants in my kitchen. I called to inquire why I was seeing this if my house was just treated. They calmly explained the issue, sent someone out the next week, and did not try to charge me extra for the ant spraying. Bottom line: this is a good business that seems to take their job seriously and value their customers highly.

UPDATE: The owner contacted me after I posted the first review, asking if he could come out personally to answer our questions. We did catch a brown recluse in one of the glue traps, so he used a special treatment and assessed our space in general. I wasn't home at the time but my husband was impressed with how thorough he was, and I was reassured by the fact that apparently we're already doing a lot of things correctly (limited clutter, etc.). I would go with STL Pest Control again based on their responsiveness to my concerns after the first visit. This was our first experience with a pest control company. We've had brown recluses and centipedes in the basement, so thought it was time to address those issues. I will have to say, the tech was very polite and sprayed all areas in the home, plus the outside perimeter. He also put down glue boards. However, he didn't have answers to my specific questions. I asked if there was anything we could do on our own to reduce the population (especially the spiders), but he didn't have suggestions -- just mentioned that he'd do the treatment and put down traps. I appreciate that he did the job he came to do -- I just wish he'd been more knowledgeable, as I didn't feel my concerns were allayed. Even talking with us about problem areas or mentioning bugs he saw during the spray would have been nice. Hopefully the treatment works, but I would probably consider a different company for next time.

we have been in STL for 1 year and this was our second time getting ant/spider treatment but by a different company. we got ant/spider/mosquito treatment by STL pest control in June. When we ordered our treatment, we were mainly concerned w/ ants in our deck and our laundry room window. It has been a crazy rainy summer so less than a month later, we saw ants in our daughter's window and the dining area window. It's the weather that's probably not helping the treatment(according to the company) but the company was understanding that since it has been less than a month, they came back and treated the windows w/ the ants. They actually responded right away and came back the following day after I complained. Anyway, from the start of contact to the end, the staff are very reasonable and understanding and consider customer satisfaction a huge priority.

I called with interest in someone coming to help me with a mouse problem that I had been having. I called and they were able to send someone out the next day which was great and convenient. The guy called when he was on his way and when he arrived I showed him all of the places that we had seen a mouse and he set bait and just pointed out some areas that they might be getting in. He didn't have anything to seal up the points of entry, which maybe I was expecting. The only reason I gave it four stars was the price/value. When I called and they gave me a price range, I wasn't sure what to expect where I would be in that range, but after he set bait blocks asked if I wanted to purchase an additional four bait blocks in a black container, like a mouse house, for $25 and told me my price was already at the max, I declined the additional item. Overall, it was nice to have someone come out and give me an opinion, but we've had previous company's set bait, fill holes, walk the perimeter of the house... for less cost. We get them each year, so I thought I would try someone new.

So I've had a bit of a recluse infestation, found them in my upstairs bedroom and verified that yes indeed that it was recluses. Stl pest control have come out on 2 separate occasions both of my techs Mike and Larry did a great job, they explained in detail what I was dealing with and proper action to take after they bombed the attic and sprayed the entire house inside and out. I'm a bit of an arachnophobic so you can imagine how an actually dangerous spider didn't sit well with me. The second time they sprayed I started to see pest the next day even after they used bombs for knats. I’m not sure of what the issue is but I feel like I’ve wasted money to still have the same issue

UPDATED: Rick, the owner, reached out to me personally and wanted to make things right, so I gave the company another chance and they've done one treatment with two more scheduled at recommended intervals. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I've been in my house for two years. Ever since I've moved in, STL Pest Control has come to "take care of" my bug problems. I've had brown recluse spiders living in the dormer room/attic upon move-in and despite near quarterly visits from STL Pest Control, I STILL have brown recluse spiders. I've had to tell the office not to send one guy over because my dog, who loves EVERYBODY, definitely, definitely did not like him. The second guy they sent told me to lock up my dog and talks down to me. I just fired him; they just left. Looking for a new company who will actually SOLVE the problem I hire them for.

I did not have a positive experience with this company. The gentlemen who came to the house were polite and efficient, but I they placed the traps a good distance from where the squirrel access to my house was and after two weeks we never caught one squirrel in their traps. I used a trap of my own, and placed it at another access point, and caught four squirrels and a possum. Because it was my trap, I had to relocate all the animals myself. So I paid $150 dollars for a couple traps, that essentially did nothing, and I did all the work myself. The company was also unwilling to try and patch any holes - they told me to call a roofing company. About six years ago I had a squirrel problem. I hired Critter Control, and they were efficient, trapped five squirrels, relocated them and patched all access ways to my house at that time. Unfortunately I couldn't locate the company anymore and tried these guys. They were nice, and pleasant, but I got no results, and they are limited in what they are willing to do.

Thought we had a critter in our attic! Called STL Pest Thurs evening. Received a call at 8 am on Friday. A very knowledgeable and reassuring conversation followed with an explanation of their services and costs. We made an appointment for Sat as no openings were available for Friday. A cancellation occurred and Brian arrived about 12:45pm on Friday. He performed a thorough examination of the outside and our attic. He found no evidence of critters. Thinks we might be hearing raccoons or squirrels on the roof or gutter. Said we could set a trap (for a fee) , but didn’t see a need to do that! The technician that came out was professional and worked quickly. We had a few mice in the kitchen and called to have them removed. When I called to schedule the appointment they were not clear on what I would be paying for. I expected a trapping and removal. The service we got was fine but seemed expensive to have some poison laid out. Any follow up would also be at an additional cost. I suppose I could have asked more questions but as the consumer I wish they would have been more up front.

I was very impressed with these guys. I called and was able to get an appointment that week for service (for spiders). The man texted when he was on his way, and even showed up EARLY!!! They were able to remove all of the webs and sacs (????) from the garage, dusted our attic, and sprayed inside as well all for a very reasonable cost. The best part is that it is pet safe, which was a big concern with me. All in all, I hope I never need them again but if I do, I know who I’ll be calling.

I very rarely write reviews and when I do its usually due to some negligence I think the public actually needs to know about. I get zero self satisfaction from doing this. Anyway... I have a pregnant wife and toddler, so when i scheduled the service, I specifically mentioned that the tech needs to wear a mask and gloves (DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC OF COURSE). Anyway, the guy shows up this morning (I wasnt there) without a mask. Lovely. Now, if you are a company that goes inside peoples houses during a pandemic, wouldnt you want your employees to take precautions not only for your customers safety and comfort, but for your employees? This guy who showed up didnt have a clue. These people are going into houses and traveling around town to other houses for treatment. They could be traveling around transmitting who knows what from house to house. Recipe for disaster. I'm absolutely disappointed that a company like this is going from home to home without safety being top of mind, at every appointment. Its not only unprofessional, but its a massive liability. What if somebody in my family gets sick? Has this employee been tested? Ugh. I'm really not crazy, but seriously. Even Papa Johns isnt coming near the house without a mask on and gloves!!! These people are coming IN to the house. Call another company if you need a good pest service. Furious.
