I've been using McCarthy Pest for a couple/3 years now. They are consistently fair priced, professional, call the day ahead to confirm appt, techs always show up on-time, prepared for anything I've ever requested last minute like the carpenter bees drilling into the eaves, always ask about issues from previous visits like the tech read their notes before arrive! Their product continues to kill the normal household pests past the 6-month mark of my bi-annual treatments when I've skipped a treatment. When I had a spider infestation, they came the day after I called and came a 2nd time to re-treat per their 30-day policy at no charge and actually at their recommendation! They answer the phone, return calls promptly, charge my cc without hassle or additional fees, work around my messes. Exactly what I need: a company that does their job (expertly) without me having to follow-up with them, reasonably priced, knowledgeable staff and genuine delivery of customer service. RARE find this company. All around 5-stars since I started doing business with them. Neil has been my service tech the past few visits; his professionalism and down to earth style give me a sense of partnership in caring for my home related to pests. Great hire, McCarthy!

We recently hired Tim McCarthy and his team to fumigate our home for brown recluse spiders. From the pleasant and responsive office staff to the grounds staff who carefully positioned the tent to salvage much of our landscaping, to the follow-up checks by Tim himself -- I cannot express how impressed I've been with this organization. Highly recommend! Having brown recluse spiders in our home was incredibly stressful, and Tim and his staff took the time to calm us, to educate us, and to provide a professional service that we feel has given us our lives back. Tim literally walked every room in our home, identifying areas to address/seal up/watch. And, during the fumigation, he sent daily text messages to keep us aware of the progress. This is the kind of attention to detail and personalized care I haven't experienced with any other pest control company.

We had some issues with the service as far as the timeline they originally told us so I'm forced to give them 4 stars instead of 5. I was worried because it looked like the boring beetles were back. Mr. McCarthy assured me that it was likely just old signs of activity that had not been properly cleaned up, but that I should contact a local pest inspector who is familiar with boring beetles. After a full inspection and several return visits, it turns out that Mr. McCarthy appears to have been correct all along, but in the meantime, he supported us in our investigation every step of the way. His integrity is super impressive, and I feel a great deal of gratitude about it. I would have to recommend McCarthy Pest Control for anyone who has a big problem and is nervous about getting hung out to dry on an expensive procedure. McCarthy really stands behind his work.

Really good experience. They came out for a consultation. The communication was excellent from start to finish and I have not seen a bug since they sprayed a couple of weeks ago. They do not seem to be so big that you don't know who you are talking to, but not so small that they are difficult to get a hold of. Just what I was looking for, a small business that supplies really good service at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them.

I highly recommend McCarthy! We had a brown recluse infestation and decided to have our house tented and fumigated over the summer. The owner worked closely with us to ensure we knew exactly how to prepare for the fumigation. He even called each day during the fumigation to let us know how it was going and sent us photos of the home with the tent. It's been over 6 months now and we have yet to find 1 brown recluse! Such a relief!

We moved into the Central West End and had problems with the type of pest issues found living near large cities Many of our neighbors were using McCarthy Pest Control, so we thought we would try them. Tim, the owner of McCarthy, came to our home and accessed what we needed and put a quarterly plan together. The results have been wonderful. One of the things I really like is that it's always the same McCarthy service tech, Neil, who comes out to do the service. He's professional, knows our home and what the goal is of our particular service plan. He monitors the results of each service and makes adjustments when needed, we've never had that with any other pest control service. I would highly recommend McCarthy.

We recently discovered some active termites and started researching pest control companies. After looking at BBB and online review checks we narrowed it down to several companies and had them come out to perform home inspections. I found that most companies offer the same mitigation options for termites and the prices I received for initial treatment and annual maintenance were within 15% of each other. The same was true of the home inspections which were similar but McCarthy took more time to educate me on my problem, assess the damage and explain how their mitigation worked. Bob Richardson handled the home inspection and has been my technician going forward. Bob helped calibrate my concern about our problem by helping me understand how termites progress and the rate that they can damage a structure. He explained that while mitigation was needed my house was not on fire and I could the take time I needed to select the right company. I felt this was important because a worried home owner could be pressured to act immediately by a salesman and sign a contract quickly before more damage occurred. Bob was the opposite telling me to take my time with my due diligence and reach out when I was ready. Since July Bob has been on-site every 3-4 weeks checking on some targeted mitigation he suggested which seems to be working well. Bob is a well experienced technician and clearly very good with people. I trust his advice and would be very comfortable recommending McCarthy and Bob Richardson to anyone. Every contact I have had with McCarthy has been positive. My initial call and every subsequent conversation with office staff has been very friendly. The technician that did the initial bait station installs was on-time, considerate of my preferences for station locations and very professional. Finding termites in my house was an unwelcome surprise. Finding a company like McCarthy to address my problem was the silver lining to that experience.

I wish I could give McCarthy WAY more than five stars! We had a brown recluse problem at our house and didn’t know what to do...we consulted with several local guys who all said that they could provide solutions to manage the spiders, but told us that the recluses would be impossible to fully get rid of. Tim was the ONLY guy who told us he could FULLY get rid of them. He was right! Tim came from out of state with his crew and high tech fumigation equipment...was able to gas the spiders to kill each one, including all of those INSIDE THE WALLS AND ALL OF THEIR EGGS! It has been six months since he treated and we haven’t seen a single recluse since. McCarthy was a HUGE blessing to our family and Tim has continued to provide fantastic follow up with us post-treatment. If you have a problem with recluses - these guys can FULLY solve it! I cannot possibly recommend them highly enough...their unique service and capabilities have give us peace of mind that everyone else told us was impossible. THANK YOU MCCARTHY TEAM!

Absolutely the most honest business with which I have ever dealt. My wife and I had severe termite damage we had to have repaired because we hired what turned out to be perhaps the most incompetent, dishonest home inspector anyone has ever had the misfortune to encounter (absolutely do NOT use Pillar to Post home inspections, especially franchise owner Randy Maynard in the Eureka, MO area; we immensely regret it, and you most likely will, too). We used McCarthy for a couple of years and decided to try a "door to door" type service when we moved into a new house. We were quite displeased and decided to switch back to McCarthy. At the first inspection, they found a few very undesirable (dead) pests in old glue boards due to poor servicing by the previous company. Following that appointment, Bob came out twice to consult and inspect to make sure the problem was completely eradicated - for no extra fee! Additionally, they generously renewed our service at our grandfathered price previous to our pest control switch. Also, something else that is important to us, our technician was in the military. We have a family member who owns their own pest control company in another state who is also a veteran. Because I have been told some companies have less than ethical spraying practices, I always like to see what chemicals they are spraying and he was more than happy to report them to me. We have been very pleased and would recommend them.
