I hired Family Pest Control for an $800 dollar Attic Remediation in January 2022 with a contract stating they would install a one-way door and seal all other possible entry points. They installed the door and failed to seal all other possible entry points. I continued to hear rodents in the attic. I reported the problem and they said they would "recommend a carpenter". I demanded to know what exactly I was getting for my money and they said "we are going to reimburse you". I received the reimbursement later that day. Family Pest Control did not honor their contract with me and they wasted my time and energy over about a three week period.

Thought I had a rat problem and wanted someone who could come out quickly. I called on Thursday, they were able to schedule an inspection for the next day at 10am. Bryce arrived at 10 on the nose and got right to work. He assessed the situation and wrote up an estimate which he emailed immediately. Very pleased. Update: Bryce returned to perform the work and again arrived within the specified time frame, reinspected the crawl space and fitted the various openings with screening to prevent rodent/pest intrusion. One further appointment is scheduled to complete the work and I'm sure it will be satisfactory.

We called family pest control after waiting way too long to address an ongoing roach problem in our kitchen. We put it off because we thought it would cost more than we'd want to spend and wouldn't be satisfied with the services. Really carrying the mentality from our last apartment into our current search. Family Pest Control showed us that a pest problem doesn't need to be more of a problem when you have the right approach. We ordered two treatments that included spraying our yard and the price was the best deal for folks who had similar offers. Gustavo carried out both sprays and was communicative by sending a text estimating arrival time, timely by arriving just before the actual appointment, and informative by engaging us in conversations about the work he was performing and additional recommendations we could perform on our own as a follow-up to the treatments. After the second spray, we caulked up all the tiny cracks in our kitchen as we can finally use it again without having to think about killing roaches left and right. Working with Family Pest Control has literally brought us peace of mind. THANK YOU. Highly recommend to anyone who is searching for quality services.

So far they came for the estimate and were very detailed on how the process was going to happen. I'm glad they don't just bait to kill. They give the animals a chance to get out on their own. Once we agreed on the price, they put baited traps out but left the openings open so they could get out. 2nd time they came they sealed up majority of the openings with a metal screening and mesh and put traps out in the yard around the 4 corners of the house. 3rd time they are setting traps to kill and sealing the rest of the openings. Last visit will be to dispose of what is caught in the traps. After that we have a 1 year warranty for the services paid. We are very pleased with the thorough process and walking us through it all.

Funny there is only one Google review which is most likely an employee or family friend. These people act very friendly on the phone and in person(Reuben).....when in reality they serve only those who never complain I assume. I used them in a rental house maybe 2-3 yrs ago and they promise to return in a 30 day period If you continue to have problems. Well I did with the rental property and had them return twice. I moved before the next treatment. Now I have married and bought a nice home so I called them again not realizing how they really operate. My name had changed and they happily set up my initial visit. Reuben, the same guy who came to the rental property showed up, did the service with a smile and then remembered me from my rental property. He said he remembered the problem I had with bugs and said he would cuss every time I called back(2 times). He joked about it but apparently they do not like call backs and I guess he went back to the office and said I was the girl who called back twice on their 30 day guarentee. Well the service was done on 7/31/2015, paid in full $146. Today on August 6, 2015. They nice little lady from the family company calls me to say that I am " out of their grid" (a whole 18min from their office) and they won't be able to service my home after all.( but thank you for the $146 on a slow week I guess). I have never encountered such a blatant lie from a company in my life. I will be posting my story and complaining about this money hungary unprofessional, untrustworthy company everywhere and to everyone who will listen. BOYCOTT!!!!! Don't let businesses treat people this way.

We have been in our house for four years and have not had any ant problems until now. I chose Family Pest Control because their reviews were mostly positive. They came out on Thursday 7/14 to spray for the ants; however, a week later I still saw them crawling around. I figured that it would take a little while for the chemicals to get to them. It's been about a week and a half now and I'm still seeing ants. I give the company 3 stars because it does not seem that their spray is very effective but their representatives are polite and pleasant to work with. Update: Family Pest Control reached out to me to remedy the little black ant issue. It's been a few days and already I've seen a huge improvement. I have to commend Family Pest Control on proactively reaching out to me after I expressed my concern. Their actions show that they truly care about their customers.

Friday I moved into a new apartment where the appearance was very deceiving, what looked like a gorgeous newly renovated apartment turned into a nightmare my first night. It was infested with roaches!!! I spotted and killed about 40 roaches before I threw in the towel and had to find somewhere else to stay for the night. Saturday morning I woke up early and called around to a handful of pest control businesses who all happened to be booked... that was until Ray at Family Pest Control answered and was able to fit me in last minute on a busy day. The fumigator Austin was punctual, quick, and awesome! These guys are a prime example of exceptional customer service! It is now Saturday night and I can say with relief my apartment is no where near the way it was yesterday! Love this company! If you are looking for a Pest Control Company, I highly recommend Family Pest Control. My mom has used them for over 30 years and now I use them in my home. I was coming up on my quarterly treatment but I saw a few spiders and a scorpion near my front door, so I called them that day and they were able to squeeze me in that evening, and didn't even charge me extra! I have been a Family Pest Control customer for 20-years or so. It happens from time to time that a bug issue will not be successful after treatment. This just happens with any service provider. What differentiates FPC from the crowd is that a quick call results in a courteous response from Kelly and family and a rescheduled no-charge visit. I prefer to pay annually most years because there is a discount provided. The regular retail price is very competitive if not the best out there. I highly recommend FPC.

We just moved into a new house whose owners didn’t take great care of the exterior, so there was a big ant and wasp issue. We ordered a full yard and ant control service with the eaves as well. Employees here are friendly and supportive when it comes to your house issues. They provide guidance and support your decision to do your own work. They aren't pushy or will try to convince you otherwise. They are at a decent price range when it comes to pest control, but the construction to repair the damage or places the pests are getting in through is way too high. I fixed the problem with 3 traps for the squirrels and covered the holes they told me they were using the get in with wire and/or plywood for $150. They were going to charge me $600 for the repairs and about $200 for pest services. I can't dish out too much right now, but glad they helped me identify the problem and issues around my house and I was able to fix myself.

Family Pest Control is an absolutely amazing company. After buying a home and moving to San Antonio in July of 2018 we discovered we had a cockroach problem. Being new to the area I called several companies I found online. Family Pest Control was the only one that could come out the next day. They came out and treated the house, 2 weeks later we still had problems they came out and treated the house for free. We haven't had any issues since. They treat our home quarterly and we don't have to make appointments in advance. They send us a notice that we need to schedule our quarterly appointment the month it's due. They are always either on time or early. Our family highly recommends Family Pest Control.

I was having issues with fleas in my home, attacking me, my cat, and my child. I paid $300 for Family Pest Control to come out and apply flea treatment. The treatment did not work, as the fleas were still very much alive, and continued to eat at my legs. I contacted FPC, and they scheduled a day to come and treat again, free of charge. Again, the very same day after the treatment, I'm in my one-year-old's bedroom, and I find a flea crawling on my leg. I contacted FPC again to let them know the problem was still occurring, and they informed me that some fleas were resistant, so they wanted to come out a third time with a different rotation of chemicals, again, free of charge. At this point, I'm done with the company so I decline the offer and ask for a refund from the initial service. I went to Walmart and bought a pack of 3 small foggers for $15, set them off in the morning, and immediately noticed the difference that night. Goodbye, constant itchy feeling. To FPC's credit, they were very accommodating with the offers to respray, but if the chemicals used didn't work the first time, why would you not use a different rotation the second time? And if you did, then you have even more issues with your products than I initially thought. I know there's a difference between spraying and a fogger, but charging $300 for a professional service for something that $15 at Walmart took care of is absolutely absurd. I just wanted to get it nipped in the bud as quick as possible, and now I know the best way to, while saving $285. TL;DR - Paid $300 for flea treatment, did not work both times they sprayed. Paid $15 for a few foggers from Walmart, worked first time.

I contacted family pest control for a silverfish and spider problem at my home. They came before the appointment time which was set for 9 AM which normally is a good thing However i wanted to be there to decribe the issues I was having. A houseguest let them in and by the time I got there which was 9:07 and they were already finished. As it was a result I continued to have silverfish problems and called them and left a voicemail on a Saturday. And not return their voicemail and they showed up at my house and unannounced that following Tuesday again I was not there and they resprayed with instructions from the houseguest. I continue to have an issue with the silverfish. Due to reviews I assumed there would be more thorough. I would also assume they send a more experienced person for a new customer but the person said he was new. I'm disappointed and will not use this company again.

Absolutely recommend this is the first company you call if you have an unwanted pest. Austin was our technician from Family Pest Control and he was honest, on time, and thorough. As new homeowners we were understandably upset to find what looked to us like squirrel activity in our attic. We called a different pest control company and they quoted us at almost $800 to trap the squirrels. They went on the roof and showed us pictures that they believed were the entry points, they pointed out a single piece of squirrel “poop”, and even told me that if left this unattended the squirrel would chew through ducts and possibly cause a fire. $800 seemed like an awful lot so we called family pest control for a second opinion. Austin came out and after a very thorough inspection assured us we do not have pests in our attic. The misplaced insulation was from a piece of siding that had came undone. And the squirrel “poop” that the other company pointed out was a freakin coffee bean! So grateful to Family Pest Control for saving my family $800 and offering us peace of mind. If we are ever unfortunate enough to get pests they will be the first call we make.

Within an hour he was extremely sick, throwing up and foaming at the mouth and drooling plus shaking his head. So I gave him Benadryl and after an hour he was ok. A week ago our neighbor mentioned our shared fence may have termites. My husband and I were getting ready to list our home for sale and quickly had a pest control company come take a look. They confirmed it was termites and after inspecting the home said there were NONE inside the house. Two days later our usual pest control service came for their inspection and said there were NONE in the fence BUT termites in the home (the opposite of what the first company said). At this point my husband and I were totally lost which is when we found family pest control. We called an hour before closing on a Saturday and explained the situation-the owner was at our home the NEXT DAY (on a Sunday). He confirmed there were not termites in the fence and even went in our attic (none of the other companies did that). After a very thorough evaluation he determined that there were NO active termites. IF we were not planning on moving I would absolutely switch from our current pest control company to Family Pest Control. VERY professional, knowledgeable, honest and dependable.

Not very satisfied because i think the company overcharged us. The pest control people came, sprayed a couple of places around the house and put bates at a few places only. When I called, the descriptions sounded like it was very extensive spraying and bates. We are still seeing roaches around as if no spraying had occurred. Really no change. I had them service a property that has German Roaches and I called 3 days after the treatment was done to let them know there were still a lot around the house. They told me I needed to wait two weeks before calling back to have them retreat. I called today to see if they could come sooner and not only did they tell me that there would be an additional fee but that they would no longer be servicing rental properties. Very interesting. Beware of additional fees and if you have rentals don't bother calling them because they don't want your business.

No show and no call or message to let us know. Had an appt set up, received text message confirming the appt, tech never showed up. To address the office response: your response is very unlikely. Very unlikely you or the tech attempted to contact me. Also very unlikely at the time of the appointment 1600-1800hrs that the tech would sit there for 15 mins when there are so many people coming into the neighborhood, just like any other service or delivery, he would have followed them in. When I spoke to the office clerk there was only a note from the tech that he/she had attempted to call multiple times with no answer. Now since I wrote a review, now there are records of your office also attempting to call me. I don't buy it. Do yourself a favor and continue to look for a different pest control company.

We had just purchased a new bed and when the delivery people came to carry out our old bed the driver said we had bed bugs. We had never been bitten and so we were sure it was not a bed bug, but the delivery guy wouldn't carry away our old bed or set up our new one without a exterminator, and he wanted it to be Orkin or Terminex. You call them and you get someone from India. I called Family Pest Control and spoke with the son of the business. I sent him a picture of the bug and he had their entymologist verify what kind of insect it was...Not bed bugs. Furthermore, he came to the house the next day and did a thorough inspection of the bedroom and told us it was carpet beetles. So nice and reasonable!!! We will use them again!

Good experience. Caleb was friendly but ran a little late. Office staff friendly some confusion with contact numbers and had to reschedule my first appointment. Overall good service with quality employees.

I do business with Family Pest Control for one reason: Reuben Roque. Reuben has been my technician for many years, and I trust his judgment, and appreciate his professionalism. I will cease doing business with Family Pest Control if they don't stop their incessant robo-calls, and robo-texts to remind me my quarterly service is due. One text, or one email, is sufficient. I will not do business with any business that badgers and harasses its customers with robo-calls, and robo-texts. Such are Bad for Business, and are not effective, other than bothering me unnecessarily, and wasting my Time. I will NOT tolerate such business practices directed to me.
