Very knowledgeable and friendly employees. Also very quick email response to a question I had. They were on time and wore masks due to COVID. They put down traps to get mice in the shed and made sure to tell us not to let the dogs near them, which was extremely helpful since we frequently leave the shed open while doing yard work! So happy with them!

Imani, the Customer Care Specialist who answered the phone, really lived up to her title. She was so great at getting me onboarded and all set up. She was kind, inquisitive, supportive, and funny as we discussed what I needed to rid my house of. I told her that I had two young kids in the house, and she made sure to note that to the scheduler so I could seen quickly. Caring for customers is definitely her specialty!

Today I had the pleasure of having Fred as my service technician. Fred was absolutely awesome. Not only did he refill my existing bait station but he added another one as my wife was concerned critters were entering our home. Fred also took care to seal any potential entry points that critters could enter from. Fred also reminded me that I don’t have to wait for our quarterly service if we run into a problem or need a touch up; and there is no additional charge! How amazing! Fred, not only did you make our day with your service, but also with your professionalism and outgoing personality. So thank you Fred for giving us a Halloween Treat instead of a trick!!

Revision 9/3/2020. The service team seems to be constantly rotating and it's been a mixed experience of people who know what they are talking about vs. just waiving a duster around the house. I was using this service for prevention vs. extermination. Continuing to see wasps on the house and in our trees. The team is friendly and no negative feedback there. It's hard to justify the quarterly service fee for 10 - 15 minutes of work.

This summer, EcoSheild made all kinds of promises to remove ALL the webs and wasp/hornet nests that built up over the past year on our home which was our initial chief concern. We were reluctant to sign their contract because it was for a years worth of visits. The representative repeatedly assured us that they would go over the house thoroughly the first time and that we would be extremely happy with their service. They also reassured us that if we weren’t satisfied with their initial service, we can cancel and get our money back and cancel the contract without penalty, essentially guaranteeing that their service was great. After treating the house, they left over half of the webs and nests. We immediately cancelled our service the following day (two days after signing up) and went with another company which prioritized and took care of our concerns. Of coarse since we signed a year contract, we were obligated to pay a cancellation fee of nearly $200 which they wouldn’t relieve us from. Please, if you do use them, record the reps promises or you’ll end up paying a rather large cancellation fee.

My initial visit was great and Vern was fantastic. Explained everything thoroughly, walked me through what they were doing/the plan, and let me know what to expect. They were also effective: when we opened the garage this morning the moving ant mountains we’ve been used to seeing had disappeared! UPDATE: Follow-up Visits have also been great! Nate came out this week and explained everything, helped identify potential sources of access for mice and added a few bait traps to address. Was also very thorough with cleaning webs around all windows, eaves, and the garage. Thanks, EcoShield!

Eco Shield removed three live hornets nests of the 6 we asked them to take down. The problem with the removal was the removed them before the hornets were killed. Then one of the nests was in the sidewalk, with hornets still in it when we took our walk with our 3 year old. Meanwhile we were told that there was a repellent set up at the old site locations. I got our child in the house and I looked up and what was really there were a dozen or more hornets, maybe more, at the old nest site, back at work on rebuilding. I walked the perimeter and the nest in our landscaping was not touched. It was still active. How that is possible I don't know. The nest on the north side of our house which THEY pointed out to me, had not been removed or treated. Active. I wrote them immediately and told them not to charge my card and I would then not write a negative public review as mistakes happen in life and I would have Orkin fix this. Then 9 minutes ago, my card was charged, more than was agreed upon. It's a shame.

I’ve been with EcoShield for just over a year now. I have just had them treat the outside of my home to create a barrier. I haven’t had any more wasp nest in the treated areas, and barely any Box Elder bugs anymore. My house used to be swarming with them. They are careful not to get too close to my blooming plants to avoid pollinators. I just recently had a question about my bill, because I should have had a new rate. I had to leave a message because they didn’t have anyone available at that time. Brenden called me right back, was super friendly, and took care of the problem right away. I’m very happy with the service.

Do not waste your money. We specifically stated the issues we were having around the outside of our home. When the men came to complete the services they were at the house maximum of 15 minutes. They swept for spiders and treated for ants, however we specifically said we had issues with bees. They did not address this issue at all and we ended up treating for it ourselves. They said they would be back in 30 days, but they did not come back in 30 days. When we called to cancel they stated our first treatment they were on sight for 41 minutes, which is not true. Had to pay a cancellation fee of $150, which in our opinion is worth it just to be done with them! Go elsewhere for pest treatment.

I'm very Glad they stopped by my home and did their work for pest control at my home -- as I didn't think that any pest control company existed that could help me remove bad "no-seeums" including biting mites from my downstairs laundry area in addition to taking care of larger pests such as a beginning hornets nest, and some big sugar ant hills from my yard, etc. They also added a repellant around the perimeter of my house and lawn mower shed too, to repel pests such as spiders and mice -- all with eco-friendly pest control substances, that also won't harm my spaniel. They will be coming again in a month to do a follow-up application, and then quarterly for more pest control maintenance sessions. Things are already much better downstairs and around the house and yard. Thank you again, EcoShield personnel!

Carlos Sanchez the terminator came out to service my home and took care of mice. He was nice, professional and did what was asked of him. Great at selling their services, very poor at delivering. We had them come out twice within a few weeks and the problems they “promised” to eliminate are still present. Showed up late or too early for appointments, had to reschedule others. We asked to discontinue their service due to these issues 3 months ago and never heard back. They showed up today & provided services after we tried to cancel them and then they demanded payment without even having an appointment. We were hit with a $150 contract cancellation fee. I gave these guys a few chances and was met with disappointment each time. Major reason is due to lack of communication and sometimes unprofessional attitude. The first time they came out, they could only do part of the job - the guys were friendly and said they needed to come back to finish spraying the outside of the my house due to weather conditions and that someone would be in touch the next day to schedule that with me. Didn't hear from anyone as I waited 3 days so I had to follow up to remind them to get someone out to finish the job. Second round, I got a call and email that I was scheduled in for a Sept 10 appt. When no one showed up, I messaged them a couple times at the end of the day and proceeded to call a couple times that week (25 mins on the phone) to get someone on the phone only for them to tell me the person got lost that day. I didn't get a message or call about that! So I gave them another chance to reschedule me in and the the customer service guy, Victor, said someone would call me in a day or two actually do the rescheduling with me. After a week...NOTHING..! So I decided to call in today and cancel, talked to a Thomas, who said I "was" scheduled in for next week and proceeded to explain their communication process and that I would have received an email "today" about it (sure whatever you need to say). But after I said I'd like to cancel, he proceeded to read his script and hang up before I could say anything. The other reason is that I still see the same insects / problem around so it didn't seem to make an impact. This place is not worth the headache right now. *Update: Even though I called to cancel services last week, today I get an email tells me my next appt and that someone is coming out that day. That means 1) they didn't cancel my service so again proof that they lack communication, professionalism and 2) they're a headache. A nice lady did call me and said they'll take care of it but we'll see.

I signed up for the service and have to say that it was nothing but disappointing. Every time they'd come, i'd get a text message and email. After a while, I got none, and no one came. I then got a text saying that they needed to update billing. I said I wanted to cancel because no one was coming, and they forced me to pay a cancellation fee, despite the fact I was told by the salesman that there was no contract. How do i know they didn't come? Cameras all around the outside of my home. Oh, and a MASSIVE BOX ELDER infestation that had my property been properly treated, it wouldn't have happened. I'd avoid EcoShield at all costs.

I am not the person that posts reviews....but this was over the top poor and I want to save someone else. If they come knocking send them away immediately. I tried them for a year. They really didn't "fix" any of my house's problems. So, when the contract was up, I went to cancel it. Crazy amount of harassments around canceling the contract. This business has been asked multiple times to stop coming door to door in Plymouth or get the permit to do so. They continue to come and have never gotten a permit. Additionally if you sign up they will use your name with all of your neighbors to get them to sign up. They have no right to share this information or to use people as a reference without permission.

Xeng Xiong (my tech this time around) was so professional and explained everything to me about what a winter service would accomplish and what to expect from the services we already had completed. He made sure to let me know about what would be upcoming in my schedule and to let me know what I can expect to see as the snow melts and it becomes spring here in MN. We are on the quarterly home service plan, which includes a quarterly prevention visit and also states that they will come out immediately when an issue arises. I reported to them (via email because nobody answers the phone when you call) that I have been seeing quite a few carpenter ants inside the home, and that I would like someone to come out and take a look. Someone did respond via email, but just said they couldn't send someone out because they're fully booked through June. I am beyond frustrated. I don't know what I'm paying for if they can't get out here in less than a month. So for now, I am on the waitlist waiting for someone else to cancel. Unbelievable!

The corporate business structure of a recurring service contract is possibly a bit miss leading but bugs aren't a one time problem so this makes sense. The local group have been amazing to work with. Techs know their stuff, are nice to deal with and haven't had any problems with our dogs who think they're the center of any visit. We've had all our questions answered and they've even identified potential problems that we didn't know about as new owners of the house. It's early in the season so I can't really comment on the effectiveness of the product (boxelder bugs in the fall will be the true test) but all the interactions we've had with the team have been great.

Today was our 3rd visit from EcoShield Pest Solutions. Just like the other technicians, Nic the inspector was very professional and spent time reviewing what he was going to do with me. He thoroughly inspected the interior and exterior of the home and then walked me through the quote line by line. The service is significantly more affordable than competitors. With the first 2 visits we were very pleased with the results as we now have no indoor spiders or moths! Highly recommend!

I was offered a $150 first year special as I am a new customer. I was charged this initially, but then on the second service visit I was charged $150 again. When I emailed asking for this second charge to be waived, my entire service contract was canceled and I was charged for an additional $150 fee for breaking the contract. However I never requested my service or contact to be canceled. I called numerous times to try to resolve but no one picks up the call. I left voice messages as well as emails. Update : Finally someone emailed saying that each visit costs about $150 and they said they received a request for cancelation. So they are charging me for the cancelation fee. Looking at my service agreement I am finding it to be different than what I heard from the sales person. A hard lesson for me to simply trust what a sales person is saying but to actually carefully go through the paperwork. Dishonest sales people can make big money of off people who simply take their word. I feel bad. I ended up asking for cancelation eventually because I don't want to pay an exorbitant fee for each visit.

They came out to remove a paper wasp nest from our garage and left it in the middle of the driveway wasps. I have 2 kids and a dog, I expected them to actually remove it from my property. The wasps have already started rebuilding in the same place. The special you get for a regular contract is a joke. Overly expensive for no value. Don't do it.

If you planning to look for pest control, I would suggest to look else where. This company is a whole fraud where they come to your house and persuade until you signup without fee. Then one day you receive a bill of being charged on the service that you isn’t aware nothing was done on your property and on top of cancellation fees that they randomly throw in. I signed an agreement with Ecoshield for them to protect my home from ants and rodents. The used some light spot chemicals. After more than 1 year with them I got a puppy and my wife didn't want chemicals sprayed all around the house. After I go the puppy, they for the first time sprayed chemicals all around the house. They told me the dog might eat some of the granules in the grass also. We wanted to cancel. They said fine, but it would cost an extra $200 to cancel. I would like to not have to pay the fake cancellation fee that they charge because my circumstances changed since I signed with them. They were not helpful at all in trying to resolve this. They claimed it was a discount that they gave me, but I later found out that none of my neighbors had to enter a 2 year contract to get this "Discount" Basically just a scam

I am able to say these folks are professional, responsive, and on time. They sprayed inside and out, explained every step of the way what they were doing. The initial spray seemed pretty straight forward, knocked down the 4 wasp nests, cleared out the spider webs, treated for ants inside the house. I will leave another review to see what happens a month from now. But from what i hear, I should start seeing results after a month.

I was sold this service when a gentlemen came to our door back in June. He did a great job selling - however, I have been disappointed since. Their first visit, they were there for 10-15 minutes. Knocked down spider webs and treated for ants. I was told they’d be back in July for the second round of treatment for ants. Midway through August, I had not seen them and noticed giant ant colonies forming in my yard. I reached out and they set something for August 26th to return for another service. That day comes and goes and they never showed. Would never recommend. EDIT: to the owners response, I did call back and spoke with someone. They said they would take care of cancelling my account and would take care of the cancellation fee, which I thanked him for. Lo and behold, I get an invoice a few days later for $161. What a joke.

I have experienced the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen anywhere from EcoShield Pest Solutions. The technician called in sick for two services in a row, then showed up on a Saturday without an appointment. My home was not protected as promised. I have left messages and email with Mr. Thomas Mitchell, who promised to close my account without fees or further action. He promised to call me back at a specified time, I waited by my phone and all I got was crickets! I'm now getting letters threatening collections. They want to get paid, but won't even show up on time, answer calls or respond to emails. All problems were experienced in Summer and Fall of 2021.

Smooth talkers. You're paying a lot of them not being able to go inside your home during the pandemic. We had an issue with bees that wasn't able to be resolved the first visit. The follow-up seemed uncoordinated, lacking the necessary information to take care of the problem. Be sure to read the fine print about being on the hook for a significant chunk of change ($150) should you opt to cancel early as we did.

I was very impressed with my first service and was excited to get the notification about my second service. The notification came roughly 3-4 business before the actual scheduled service. I knew under COVID that I would need to call and set up an appointment if I wanted the tech to enter my home. I called immediately after getting my notification. I specifically requested cobwebs be removed from my garage and deck (the deck is accessible by ladder or through the house). I also requested that the tech spray these areas. My third and final special request, which I was told was a part of my package, was to spray for crickets. Needless to say from my 2-star rating, the tech arrived and nothing I specifically requested was done. I still have cobwebs in my garage and on my deck, and cobwebs all over the side of my house in my deck area. Likewise, the visit summary indicated nothing was done to treat for crickets. The only thing I noticed, was there had been some sort of liquid sprayed on my sidewalk leading up to my front door. That was it. Also, the sales guy told me rodent protection was included in my package. After two treatments NOTHING has been done to prevent any sort of rodent issues. Nothing. After the first service, this service was a complete let down. Edited: I have also called and left multiple voice mails, and NO ONE will call me back. This company is appearing to be more and more shady as the days go by with answered phone calls and no returned voice mails. The concerning part is that this company has my debit card information, and despite not fulfilling their end of my contract, they keep deducting money from my account. BUYER BEWARE!

While the service people are courteous and professional, I don't know about their product and whether it is effective. They tout it as organic. While they sprayed for wasp control, my wife and kids had been stung by the wasp within 2 days. They came back and sprayed again, but my wife was stung again. I got $2 spray from Home Depot and took care of the wasps. But the ant activity reduced and mouse activity was nil. So it is a mixed for me. But watch out for their sales guys. They are usually bait and switch and want to get you signed, without much info. You cannot cancel if you dont cancel on the correct day and if you dont, you are signed up for a year.

Rating 2/5 Not very happy with the service I've received to be honest, and sad that I am In a contract... I call to set up times, yet they don't show up during the requested time... I work from 5:30am to 2pm so I request that they come at 2:30 or later so what happens today they came at 12:30pm...... IM NOT EVEN THERE! The first time they were suppose to come to our house no one showed up, and I wasn't notified at all. $200 dollars I pay 200 and they cant even respect the times you ask or stay home for. common courtesy of a company would notify you before they arrive or if they have to reschedule you I pay way to much to have this happen, I shouldn't have to call all the time just to end up having to leave a voicemail. How do I get out of this contract!?

Trying to end services takes about 3 phone calls. It was unnecessary and time consuming. They want to know why you’re stopping services, who you switched to, and what their rates are like. We don’t even have to provide this information.

Overall, for the company I have been skeptical of their service until today. I was VERY pleased with the technician who came out for our regular quarterly treatment. He came during the scheduled time frame and let me know he was there. He took time to answer all my questions and walked around the house to discuss a few areas of concern. They come sporadically (they say quarterly, but don't always show up - we have cameras). Pests have gotten worse, and are refusing to cancel service. We're unable to get through to customer service and haven't heard back from voice mails.

This company has been really great to work with for the past year. They communicate so well and show up on time and are very professional and polite. They have different options for payment and come whenever you need. A few days after they came last week a hornets nest (or something like it) showed up on the deck and they came right back to take it down. Highly recommend for so many reasons. We have never had any problems with pests beyond what I mentioned above, but we like the peace of mind that with this company we won’t have to worry about it.

Although the product EcoShield uses didn't quite work for our situation (Heavily wooded), the customer service is next to none. Shelby was an amazing advocate to resolve our issues.. Also, the technicians are very courteous and respectful. If our pest problem wasn't so out of whack, I would have gladly kept them on for service for at least the next couple years. I would still absolutely recommend EcoShield to any friends and family.

Big shoutout to Epiphany and the GM, Robert, for handling a previous poor experience I had with a gentleman from their org. Everyone has a bad day, so I'll throw the unnamed culprit a bone, especially since Epiphany and the GM cleaned up his unusually profound mess beautifully. Once the job in question is finished, I'll come back with a final, detailed review. Until then however, I do applaud the customer service, as anything short of excellence in how they handled my situation would have resulted in me taking my business elsewhere. A friendly young man came door to door this past summer and we decided to do a spray around the outside of our house that was supposed to help with ants and spiders. The spray did not make any difference with our bug problem. We bought our own supply for $10 and that is what ended up taking care of our spiders. But not only did the service not do what it was suppose to but they also came to our home without our knowledge and charged us for a third session we did not want. We had previously agreed to them coming out twice and paying for those two sessions. They came and did a third session while we were out of town. We could see no difference in cobwebs or anything on the outside of our home/windows. We only found out they had been to our house a third time because we had been charged over $100. My husband called to get our money back because we didn't want the service to continue and they came to our property without our permission. Their customer service said we could not get our money back. Either we can cancel our services and pay a $150 fine or do two more services for $200. Absolutely not happy with this business and we are normally very easy to please people.

One of our Edina customers was told by the Ecoshield sales rep that our service has changed (it has not) and that the rep will cancel the service with us so she could take advantage of their offer. She stayed with us. Come on Ecoshield - get rid of unethical salespeople. This is not the first time it has happened. Others have said we have sold or are going out of business. Unethical sales reps give your company and the industry a bad name.

This is the second trip with Ecoshield and I am very impressed with the level of service and professionalism exhibited by the service technicians. I have never been able to reach the local office by phone to ask questions. Finally I picked option #5 on the voicemail and was connected to Bea. She said our local office was suffering a staffing shortage so phone contact was being managed nationally with a phone service. Bea was able to answer all of my questions ans was polite and professional.The 3 encounters I had with employees at my house providing the service was very positive and they answered all my questions and were polite and professional. Once it was pouring rain on the scheduled appointment day and the employee suggested we cancel the appointment, which they did despite the 24 hour notification rule. One question I asked Bea was how do they treat spiders outside in the winter. She said they use a dry formulation instead of a wet formulation. My husband and I were surprised by how quickly new wasp nests formed between treatments. And appreciated seeing them get knocked down.

They came to the door just when I was dealing with an ant problem. Seemed like a good deal at the time. The techs were very personable. Came out on special call for ants. But once winter came, scheduling issues cropped up. I wanted inspection for mice, and remediation in same call. Scheduling and call backs were poor. I cancelled after two payments. Called a local pest control person who cam when I asked, did a consultation and no mice. Will follow up in spring for spiders/ants. He helped me understand ants, what to look for and figure out which kind I have. He's local, he's reasonable. It's not a subscription for newly built property.

A few things about Ecoshield. They do not answer their phones, you are instead sent to an out sourced customer service agent. They do schedule appointments for you, but without asking when would be a good time for them to come. They do try to scam you out of $215 by locking you into great deal! They do offer less than satisfactory service. Complaint has been filed to the BBB, stay away from companies like this.

Friendly technicians and decent price. 2 stars originally for a few reasons. First, wasp nest was not fully removed and the techs missed one in a windowsill...no chemicals on it at all. 2nd, they did not spray around our shed out back as promised by the tech we made the appt. with. 3rd, our gate was left open when they left which allowed our dogs to escape (and then kill a chicken). An innocent chicken lost its life due to their carelessness. Lastly, I requested a wasp nest removal in our shed during the appt. booking and they didn't perform that either. I expect more details when paying for a service over $150 with a contract. Update 7/8: Technician came today to remove wasp nests from shed. He was very kind and waited as we did not hear the door. We had honestly given up waiting as we did not get a clear time frame noted for the visit and he arrived at 6pm. Unfortunately we don't believe he got the message about spraying the shed with initial chemicals and the wasp nest in the bedroom window was missed again because of a miscommunication on our part. A follow-up call prior to leaving or a recap of work completed could have remedied these items. While I appreciate the follow-up visit to address concerns, there is still a need for more details in the work notes for jobs and customer recaps at the end of services provided. Update 9/3: After scheduling issues on their end, a tech showed up today but was very friendly and apologetic regarding the cancelled previous visit. I walked trouble areas with him and he took care of it all. Great work! Thank you!

BUYER BEWARE: EcoShield "sold" me their services with a door-to-door salesman. An appointment was made for the services to be rendered and EcoShield no-showed. No worries, we understand that "mixups" happen. A second appointment was made. Again, EcoShield no-showed. We followed up and scheduled a third appointment for which they did not show. Applying the "3 strikes and you're out" principle, we requested a refund figuring that if you miss 3 appointments and don't even call to say you are going to miss or be late, you are not worth dealing with. Went through a lengthy process to request a refund and was told a refund was coming, but we are still waiting for that refund. Followed up on the refund request and were then told "upper mgmt" needs to review the refund request. Waited a week and were told we didn't qualify for a refund. If EcoShield decides to treat customers appropriately and professionally by doing what's right, this 1-star review will be modified. But until then, a 1-star review is representative of their "fraudulent" practices.

This company is a scam! We had a sales rep come to our door selling Eco Sheild and promised that they would do a better job than the previous company we had. They require payment upfront and require you sign a contract. They want me to pay for services that I only received part of. They were at my house for 10 minutes and they want me to pay $200. They kept trying to come early every time I scheduled. The day they did show up it was 40 minutes early. The tech said “his paperwork stated 5:00 p.m.” I have my paperwork and it states 5:40 to 6:00 p.m. I wanted to be home for the 1st service. My wife was home, but she doesn’t like dealing with this. I would not do business with this company.

All in all, we have really enjoyed Eco Shield. The first few times they were out here we didn't notice much difference at all with the ants, mice and bugs, etc. We have talked with several individuals over and over and they have sent people out here a few times at no charge. We had some nests in our attic and come to find out we had very old insulation that doesn't kill the bugs and they just hide in it. We were paying a very high heat bill as well so they were here today and Andrew and Tim did amazing job. They even cleaned up the huge mess they made, which NEVER happens when people come do work on your home. You are usually the one cleaning up the "aftermath of destruction" These two did great.

When I finally was able to get a call back in regards to setting up our final contracted inspection, they told us they didn't have an inspector for the past month (when all 4 prior NC/NS were scheduled.) Asked for a manager who could assist me and was told they were the manager. I told them to cancel the account then since they were not professional at all and they hung up. (yes, I was a little heated while talking to them as well). We couldn't even get someone out to the house for a complimentary "pest retreat".

We thought we were being treated for pests but started seeing dead mice around the yard, ask for them to come out and they lied about when they would come out AND when they finally came out told me an opening where mice can come in….which was on the side of the house too tall for even me to reach….said he saw mice droppings but still did absolutely nothing other than tell me it’ll cost almost 400$ to cover the vent…go with a better business. EcoShield contacted.me. and came out to my home. They then billed me for the vist.....Not what I expected at all. Update: the guys who’ve come out have been fantastic. But they’ve rescheduled a ton. It is unclear if I need to make the appointments or if they do it. Their communication is very poor. JJ came to our door and was kind, patient, and informative. He was willing to explain everything and be respect of my decision. We have it a shot and so far so good. I had them come back out because I saw some more ant hills. They came back within a few days and retreated those spots without charge! Here was my review of one employee: Isaiah was kind and patient. He took time to explain what he was doing and why. He continued to ask me if I understood throughout our time to make sure we were getting all of our spots that needed to be worked on. I would love to have Isaiah come back and do work on our property anytime! Other than JJ he is the nicest employee I’ve yet met.

I did not call this company, however they were working in my neighborhood and one of the crew came to my door to offer the services that several of my neighbors were getting. This is a newly built area and I have always heard that when you disrupt the ground in a previously wooded area, you are apt to get bugs that don't want to leave. I hate bugs - in my home - ok outside. I agreed to the treatments for this first year in my home even tho I have not been bothered by bugs yet. The young man that spoke to me was knowledgeable and seemed very sincere. They gave me notice when they were on their way and came to the door and introduced themselves and asked if I had any questions. The whole process was professional and I have not seen a bug this summer, which was my goal!

Save yourself numerous headaches and find a different pest control company. We first signed up with Ecoshield after the smooth talking salesman came to our door multiple times and promised we wouldn't be locked in a contract and could cancel anytime. Lies. We were fine with them until they called and said we needed to schedule a treatment in the middle of winter, in Minnesota. I figured it must be a joke since not only was the ground frozen, but there were inches, if not feet of snow on the ground. I tried to talk to multiple managers to tell them we will gladly pay for a service, but we would like to push it to the spring when there's actually pests to treat. Nope, they said we either had to do the treatment or pay a fee to cancel. At the time they told us we only had to do 4 treatments then we would be out of the contract. Yesterday my husband gets a call telling us we are in a 24 month contract when we were previously told we were in a 12 month contract (after not agreeing to a contract at all). I called back today since this is clearly unacceptable and the woman was able to change me to a 12 month contract which means we only have 1 treatment left then can be rid of them, hopefully. Whether or not their treatments work, I honestly can't say a positive thing about them because of how terrible and inconsistent every interaction has been. They seem so slimy, threatening to charge fees and bullying people into more treatments unless you refuse to take no for an answer and push back enough.

The MN office is next to impossible to get ahold of. I recieved an email notice at 6pm on the 4th for a service at 1pm on the 5th. They require 24hrs for cancelation. Since I can't get ahold of them and the corporate office is closed for the holiday, I don't know if I'll be charged.

This is the company that uses shady practices involving third party contractors to attract new customers. They push you to sign contracts on the spot for two years. While doing it, they misrepresent the number of applications and overcharge for each of them. The charges are $144 for each application that takes about 10-15 min of work. While It is difficult to judge if there are any real benefits from these applications, one thing is for sure - they want to enrich themselves for your expense.

I left voicemail to Jim - nothing . Go figure ... 3. People of their customer service seem like have no basic education and ethics training - rude , rude and rude 4. Expensive - again, for no reason and obviously for nothing as I mention above 5. Please read reviews below and DONT choose them . You will regret for sure . 6. There is no communication between main line and their techs - so what you think you gonna get doesn’t mean it is true . So be careful.. Anyway if that’s not enough I don’t know what else to tell you to convince you. Up to you, my friend.

The service was fine until I ran into a problem and needed to get rid of some mice. I was quoted just over $1000 to fix the problem. After 3 no shows someone finally arrived. When I asked to see what work was going to be done, only 5-6 holes needed to be filled. The paperwork showed over 20 items they were going to fix. I was flat out lied to by the sales guy. I told the guy to leave and I cancelled my quarterly service only to get an email for a $864 bill for services that did not happen. That is what prompted this review. This company has shown itself to be inconsistent at best and fraudulent at worst.

They require payment upfront and require you sign a contract. 30 days later they charged my credit card again. The customer service rep stated the 30 day follow up is the start of the quarterly service. I just paid $400 in 30 days. Total scam! Do not do business with this company!

She was a breeze to work with and genuinely seemed to care about our concerns. Nick was professional and incredibly thorough. 07/28/21 update: -we had another service performed yesterday by Xeng. He was a very impressive young man. Took the time and effort to walk around the house and evaluating for entry points. He answered all of my questions and scheduled me for a free consultation. I felt that I had to give him a good review because I appreciate how thorough he was. Great experience. There was a mix up with our services after we moved. I spoke with Ashley who promptly took care of the issue and scheduled a visit the following week at our new property. She identified the issue, responded in a professional manner, and resolved any concerns. We have been a customer for several years now and are confident in the companies abilities to manage any issues we face. The customer service team and the technicians have done a superb job every time we are in contact with them. Highly recommended.

I am from Georgia and have had a pest control service my entire adult life, turn to my move to Minnesota. My new home had a spider problem and mice in the walls/garage. The EcoShield sales rep was nice and informative, the techs that have come to my home have been friendly. The problem: A tech showed up to my home without an appointment, I work nights in a hospital and he woke me up at 1PM and I wouldn't let him service my home without an appointment. I scheduled an actual appointment after calling the office which was fine. Push forward, I still have spiders and mice. The tech didn't treat the inside of my home to do an in-home service for my 30 day and treated the yard and outside of the home. They didn't change out the mouse bates in the garage, and obviously not the ones in my basement. For what I am being charged for this service, I can treat my yard and put mice traps down and save hundreds. Worst part is I'm locked into a 12 month contract for sub-par service. I understand that we are in COVID times but, then don't charge me for an entire quarter of service if its only partial service. I am going to be calling the office in the morning to see if they will send a tech out to re-treat my home properly. I will not be renewing my contract with this company. If I could get out of it now, I'd run and use someone local. Hope this helps... I should have been more careful but, pest control is normal where I am from and your "bug guy" is like family. This is defiantly not the case up north. Good luck.

Salesman stopped by our house yesterday with no mask on, named my neighbors by name and asked if I knew them but I've never seen them around. The salesman and I spoke for a bit because we actually just happened to be looking for an exterminator. We discussed the terms and I specifically asked if we would be locked in to a contract. The answer was an unequivaqal no. I was told that they would give us a call in 90 days for a scheduled visit but we could decline with no penalties. I want to be clear here, there was no room for misinterpretation when he told me this, he clearly stated that we could decline service at any time with NO penalty whatsoever. I decided to go ahead and do it. I gave him my info and scheduled a visit for the next day. Fast forward to the next day, I get a call from my girlfriend asking why she is being asked to sign a contract. The contract stipulated visits every 90 days at a %50 increase from the initial visit. The contract also stipulated that a penalty would be charged if the contract was canceled within 12 months of signing. My girlfriend asked the guy who was there to provide service and he confirmed that indeed we would be charged. I went against my better judgement allowing a door to door salesman talk me in to something I should have searched for myself and he proved our suspicions by lying to my face and saying whatever he could to get us to agree to their services. Do not hire this company if you value honesty and integrity, you will find none here.

Sales rep stopped by on 8/25. He caught us at a good time, we recently had a nice size hornet nest and some nasty spiders. We talked, walked the perimeter. I didn’t mind the price or the sales pitch — heck he was going door-to-door in nearly 90 degree heat. He said they would take care of the spider webs and lay down some chemicals to kill them off. The issues come with the service provided. Tech arrived the next day on 8/26, 2 hours early - which wasn’t an issue at all. We talked, did a shorter walk around the house, I didn’t have much time to spare as I working from home. I told him our big issues and our request to help eradicate the spiders. What surprised me was he asked me what areas id like service. To me, you’re the professional, I shouldn’t have to tell you how to do your job or where to spray for bugs. I asked him to do the inside baseboards. We came up here from Arkansas, that was standard down there, figured I would see the same thing here. Instead, he came with a few spray cans and sprayed on the corners of just our basement. Never mind the main floor or second floor. Fast forward to the service has ended, I didn’t have a chance to chat with him - not a big deal. I went to the front door to grab a package, cob webs In the corner of our front door. The very door I greeted him through, the very door he came in to spray our basement. I realize this isn’t a housekeeping service, but really? Then the fun began. I let our dog out in our fenced in yard. 3 minutes later I get an alert from our security camera of motion in the front. It was our dog. The tech left our gate open. So now I’m trying to chase my dog down with a toddler and an infant in my hands. Man, that was fun....thank god no one was injured. It gets comical at this point, he also left our double gate door open. Two gates, left opened. Extremely unimpressed with the service and can’t believe someone who’s job is to go into yards every day would not know to shut the gate behind him. I’m locked into a 12 month contract or I have to pay a fee to break it. I’ll be looking into all options of immediately cutting off our service. Advice for future customers: know exactly what you want performed before the tech comes, Walk off everything with the tech before they leave. Check your gates. Edit: The service tech called me at 9:15 PM on a Thursday to confront me over my one star review. When I said multiple times, to call me at an more appropriate time, as in any time between 8AM-6PM, he insisted to argue with me about how much he went above and beyond for my household. All while I'm trying to get my toddler ready for bed. I can't understand this level of unprofessional-ism. I've attempted to call the local and corporate offices multiple times, its a pre-recorded message instructed to email them instead.

I'll start by saying that I am not a customer, but I don't trust this company based on their sales tactics. An Ecoshield guy knocked on our front door and said he doesn't normally go door to door but he was in the area servicing some other customers (he name dropped one of my neighbors), his truck is around the corner, he has some downtime between jobs, and he could get us in at a good discount since he's in the area and visits the neighborhood often. We need a few pest control services so I heard him out and said we would look them up and consider them, I didn't want to sign up on the spot. Glad I didn't- the next couple days I saw him and his partner going door to door in other areas of our neighborhood. They got in and out of a little sedan- no service truck in sight. If this business is willing to lie to you to get you signed up as a customer, what else are they willing to lie to you about? I note some of the reviews of them showing up for extra services and charging people for them. Hmmm....

Bad service. No one showed up for the appointment that is booked. I actually read the reviews that they will not show up. But somehow manipulated by the door salesperson and signed the contact. Please don't do business with this company. I called for finding out whats going going on, could not get them directly, I have to call in as a new customer and got connected. And exactly as stated in the previous reviews by other customers the lady who answered the phone was very rude. No care about the customers. I requested for cancellation of the contract, it will be a struggle for me to get hold of them. Please dont get into this mess like me.

We have used a different pest control service in the past for wasps, and that company just did the bare minimum of what we said was the problem, and charged more money. Door to door salespersons totally ignored the NO SOLICITING sign on my door and I have a clear video of the male salesperson attempting to OPEN THE LOCKED DOOR EVEN BEFORE RINGING THE DOORBELL! When I saw them in an adjacent neighborhood they said they would never bother a home with such a sign and he had conveniently just given out his last business card. No soliciting means NO SOLICITING and I should never have to think that he would have entered my home had the door been unlocked! For this reason I would not use them if I had bugs taking over the whole darn house!

Worst company ever! If I could give 0 stars I would. After the first service they have not come back despite charging my card repeatedly. They will not communicate at all. Have called and emailed for months now with no response. Initially I requested mosquito services as well and was told they made a note to my file and when they came to do my first service they would add that. They did not do this and no one ever contacted me about it. Although they did increase the amount they were charging me so I believe they did add that service however they never sprayed for mosquitoes. Warning! Do not use Ecosheild! They have my bank information and continue to charge me without providing service or answering any attempts at communication. Update: Your reply with another email address to use is a joke. We have reached out to that email address several times with no reply. We finally threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau and you finally responded by apologizing and asking what the issue was via a chat service. My husband responded to that message and we never heard from you again. We have contacted the BBB and will continue to tell everyone we know not to use your fraudulent services.

The service never seemed to work as well as they said. I had problems throughout the couple years I was with them. This year was bad. They said they sprayed for boxelder bugs and spiders, along with putting out bait for the voles and mice. I cut my grass a couple weeks ago and several voles ran through the grass in front of me and I couldn’t even enjoy my deck over the last month or so the boxelder bugs were too bad. I told them about it but they still wanted me to pay full price for services that did not work. I complained, paid and then told them not to call or stop by again.

DO NOT USE ECOSHIELD! I’m super unimpressed with my recent service, the technicians were only here for 9 minutes (they told company 30-35 minutes), and did a pretty poor job while here, one did a quick exterior brush to knock down webs, and the other did a quick granule spread by hand near the walkway, and then a quick spot treatment with a sprayer near the foundation and some doorways and were in the truck and gone within 9 minutes of me meeting them at the door. Also, the description of services from signing up were not the same as when I called to ask what I was supposed to expect, the amount of work was different, lawn granule became 6 feet from walkway, full house barrier became spot treatment, inspection for pests became none. Also, I called and left a voicemail, and sent an email and didn’t get a response, had to call back again to finally get a hold of someone. They also required a "cancellation fee" of you to pay back any discount of the service from when they signed you up, even though I thought the service sucked in the first place. So you have to pay for the whole treatment even if they didn’t do it properly just to cancel them from coming back and screwing you over again, talk about a scam. Again DO NOT USE ECOSHIELD!

Yesterday, a sales representative showed up at my house as I was plating up dinner for my family. He followed absolutely no social distancing guidelines and did not wear a mask (mind you, this is in the middle of a resurgence of COVID-19). After telling him its not a great time he persisted and asked to see my back deck. I have no problem with colloquial language, but a salesman ought not to swear multiple times and call a prospective customer 'man' or 'dude'. Hire some more professional representatives, because my one experience with your company has turned me off for good.

An EcoShield representative came to my door and made a pretty promising sell. I signed up, very pleased at the idea of a natural/eco-friendly pest solution. We had them come out three times. One for the initial treatment, one for a 30-Day egg cycle treatment, and one for moles. At the initial treatment, they set out bait boxes for the moles to "see how bad the problem was." This drastically increased the mole activity we had and thus nearly destroyed our lawn. Naturally, we then needed to pay extra for the mole extermination service. The product itself lasts MAYBE two weeks. They came out less than a month ago for that 30-Day egg cycle treatment and all of our windows and doors are COVERED with bugs. We also have plenty of spiders and centipedes inside too. The stuff you buy at Target works better than this. The only reason I give them two stars instead of one is because everyone I talked to at customer service was very nice and helpful. Regardless, I broke my contract and will be looking elsewhere next spring for pest control.

Told the guy to leave and they still charged us $139.32 for what little service he started. Spoke to customer service. Manager at corporate had to call me back. Was very unreasonable and threaten to send payment to collection if we don't pay. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN! *** Response*** Their message that was sent out was asking to "Confirm" the appointment or "Reschedule" which neither was done. Service wasn't wanted. So they they just send someone out and bill you for it. To them, after the first time, they can come onto your property, work on it, WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT and just charge you for it. Their manager, you try to contest it, we'll threaten you. Right Dani? This was my experience with this company. Yours may be different. Best of luck if you wish to work with them. I would NEVER be desperate enough to call this company again though.

Overall - Sales Tech and Sales Rep were nice and professional. Service - VERY underwhelming as this is my first month with EcoShield. I am paying an additional $60/quarter over my previous service. The first initial service was great, on time, social distancing, did everything that was told of them. The 30 day service, I got a text message the day of at 9am that they would be here today. No time of service provided. I then had to reach out to the Sales Rep who provided his number to ask if someone was still coming at almost 6pm! My house was not serviced until 8pm and the service seemed rushed since they weren't here for very long. The tech did not look at the prior service history - I have a wasp nest congregating (8 days later) and called customer service and the sales rep to notify them of my problems. Customer service no one answered and was forced to leave a voicemail. Texted Sales Rep 10 minutes ago, TBD on how that's going to work. Hoping someone contacts me by 5pm, but as a "new customer" this is underwhelming at best especially when I'm paying more for your service.

STAY AWAY! Unfortunately I have to give this company 1 too many stars. They were suppose to provide a service that included treating ticks in my yard and pocket gophers. The gentleman who I spoke with said that they could take of it along with other things that came with the package. The greatest sales pitch lie he told me is that if I noticed anything to call back and then they’d retreat my yard. Well I did. I found ticks on my dogs 2 days after. Emailed them back and forth to get them to redo the service only to find out that I didn’t get what I paid for, and it’s illegal for them to target pocket gophers. I’ve been fighting with company for months now for my refund. They lie, cheat you out of money. And it’s not just from the salesperson but also management. They said they would send me my refund and wait 10 business days. That came and went and no return. I would urge anyone and everyone to stay away! DO NOT hire this company!

A very nice gentleman came to our house last summer and sold me on pest control with the understanding that I could cancel at anytime with NO FEES. They did a sub par job and we no longer need these services so I called to cancel to find out there was a hidden fee of $150 to cancel. I find this to be very deceiving and unprofessional. We are current customers and have been trying to get an appointment for touch up service for over a week. We have called twice and no one ever answers the phone or calls you back. Our service schedule is off because EcoSheild came in January and March. EcoShiled is apparently not able to track coming every 3 moths and now the bugs are really bad. As soon as we are able to get ahold of someone we will be canceling our service. Definitely disappointed in customer service. Not worth the money and hassle for a bug service.

Our experience with EcoShield was not a positive experience. After speaking with the sales staff before the service and giving detailed information in regards to our home and pest control needs, the service fell short. The service staff did not have the proper equipment to perform the service agreed upon. When the staff performed service from within the home, there was a lack of attention, causing minor damage. There was no inspection of the attic space; the service staff merely looked from the ladder and ended the inspection. One positive is the service staff was polite and courteous.

Their first visit to spray for spiders ended up discoloring my 2 year old steel siding. They took pictures and I talked to a manager about discontinuing the contract. He said he would call his district manager (last year Sep 2020) and take care of it. Short story - i have now received a collections letter for $160 to terminate the contract!!!!! they never answer ANY of their phone numbers and do no respond to emails. I have sent both and many! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!

I switched to this service after being told they’d spend more time treating our property. The reality was that they actually spent less time than the previous company we used, all while charging us more. They spent maybe 10 minutes on our property. The results were sub par as well. When I requested a follow up, they failed to show up on the scheduled date. After following up with them (I had to, they never bothered proactively rescheduling), they scheduled another date and simply said the tech was sick and couldn’t finish his route that day (nice to know their techs are working while sick). When I asked why they didn’t let me know the appointment needed to be scheduled, their response was “ We are getting a lot of emails and voicemails so we try our best to keep up with the ones that are coming in”. Glad to know they can’t keep up with customer communication. After the 2nd no-show and no communication that the appointment was missed and would be rescheduled, I cancelled service. This was simply disappointing and frustrating that we were misled on the quality of service, and worse, a complete failure on customer service. Their sales staff take zero caution with COVID as well, no mask and no distancing. Very unprofessional organization.

EccoShield missed four appointments, without any phone call or attempt to reschedule. They seemed shocked when I canceled service with them. They completed 1 insect treatment on my home, and 1 treatment for mosquitos. They then missed the next home treatment and the next 3 mosquito treatments. Now they have the audacity to try to charge me a cancellation fee. I have been leaving weekly messages and waiting for a callback for 2 months. This company is the worst that I’ve ever done business with. Please consider any other option before entering into a business agreement with this horrible company.

Total scam. When we signed up we were not told they wouldn’t be treating inside our home due to COVID-19. So we were expected to pay full price for half of a service to be done! After two visits we had just as many bugs outside and even more inside of our home. Decided to cancel due to that reason and also because the outside treatments were not worth the cost. They randomly threw pellets around our yard and sprayed around windows and doors with a can of chemicals. Two things I can easily do myself. Was forced to pay a $150 cancellation fee for their unsatisfactory service. Very disappointed in this company! Update: response from owner shows what kind of company they are. Didn’t acknowledge most of my complaint. Didn’t offer any kind of resolution as I CLEARLY stated I’ve already canceled their services so I can’t/won’t call them out to do more treatments. Most of their good reviews are probably fake. At this point I will be reporting to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU for lying to get sales and stealing money when the customer isn’t satisfied. I was FORCED to pay the high cancellation fee in order to discontinue their services! Told me they wouldn’t cancel without immediate payment of fee. Also was over $160 instead of the $150 they told me. Disgusting scammers.

They cane late for one appointment, had to reschedule two others. We asked to discontinue their service due to these issues and we were hit with a $150 contract cancellation fee. Buyer beware.

I was told by door salesman I could cancel at anytime, when the truth was that if I cancelled I would have to pay $160. The service was garbage. I did not notice any difference in my issues and the customer service was rude and basically told me I was SOL and had to pay the $$. I felt I was lied to and will never recommend this company. I will make sure anyone I know will hear this as well. Edit: Responding to companies response. I will never ever call your company. I spent countless time on the phone dealing with rude customer service reps. The only reason EcoShield will ever be uttered from my mouth again will be to let people know to steer clear of your company.
