We've had a horrid experience with mosquitos for as long as we've lived in our home (it's very close to a ravine). No more! For the 2021 season, we signed up with Buzz and WOW. Talk about a service that "does what it says on the tin". Huge difference in our back yard - we can actually use it again! I use the service for a 2ac rural property that was virtually unusable at any time of day during mosquito season. With the synthetic treatment I've been able to enjoy my yard for the first time in 4 years. The service is pricey but payment plans help a great deal to soften the cost. One warning is that the synthetic treatment for me uses the insecticide 'Dragnet' which is toxic to bees. I highly recommend the service but be aware if you have a local bee population. I will probably go with the natural repellent option next season.

This spring, I would coat myself in good bug spray before working in my garden. Then the mosquitoes would bite my eyelids! After Mosquito Buzz, I was able to work comfortably in the garden. I saw no reduction in the number of desirable bugs. Mosquito Buzz re-applied as required, every 3-4 weeks.

Before getting the treatment our yard was uninhabitable. We would have to completely cover up and/or run very quickly to do any type of yard work. We couldn't enjoy the outside at all. It's the same for all our neighbours in Carp. A month or so ago our neighbours got their yard treated by Mosquito Buzz. They told us it had worked great, but we were skeptical. So one day a couple weeks ago we wandered over to our neighbours' side of the yard. It was like night and day. Our side was a mosquito apocalypse and their's was clear. I got on the phone with Mosquito Buzz the next day and they were in to treat our yard in a few days. The mosquito were all gone! There is the occasional stragglers but we can now stand in our front and back yard and just enjoy it. Very friendly, professional and courteous customer service. Also very responsive when we had questions.

This really works! We have a wedding this summer and wanted to avoid having the guests carried off by our rather large mosquito population. We noticed a huge difference after the first treatment and it has only gotten better. I was out at dusk on a damp evening this week....no mosquito's to be found! Michael Simard and his team are great to work with and even arranged a treatment a couple of days before my daughter's wedding just to be sure it's perfect. I recommend the Mosquito Buzz team !

I had to admit, I was skeptical. I have a fairly big property, so it isn't cheap to get done for the year. May was SO bad for mosquito's that we couldn't go outside. 3rd week of May I made the call to Mosquito.Buzz and 30 minutes after they came, the mosquito's were gone. We were able to enjoy our backyard all summer long. They come every 3 weeks or so and re-apply, and if it rains when they do it, they come back the next day. They could be a bit more organized... I'd love a text the day before they come telling me they are coming, but the ability to sit in the hot tub at night in May, or around the fire pit is fantastic. You need tree's... if it isn't working for you, that may be why.

I used them for the first time last year, you could not be out in the yard for 1 min with out being bitten by mosquitos. We would have to dowse are selfs and our kids in bug spray just to be out side. After mosquito.buzz came and did their first application there was a notable improvement and for the rest of the summer my family were able to enjoy our big yard with out having to be hosed down with tons of bug spray. I also get the tick service as well just for piece of mind. There service is quick and easy, they will take the time to explain everything and answer all of your questions. A 5 star company in my books.

This summer, we hosted our daughter's wedding in a secluded meadow surrounded by trees..... and mosquitos. Sunday before the wedding the girls went up to put lights in the trees and were back within a half hour. We were referred to Mosquito.Buzz and I left a message for them to contact me. On Monday, Jay came out, took a look and gave us a quote. He explained what he could do for us. On Wednesday and Friday the guys came out and sprayed with a plant based spray that would not harm people or animals. I was impressed with all of the guys - the last minute call and they were willing to help us out. They were cheerful, easy to talk to and willing to make sure our wedding would happen without any itching. True to their word - they promised 80% and delivered almost 100%. We didn't notice any mosquitos and were really pleased they were able to help make our day and evening a great experience with many wonderful memories. Thanks so much!!

This could be a two word review: It works! That's all you really need to know. This is our third summer using Mosquito Buzz! Prior to having them spray our property it was uninhabitable. We couldn't be in our yard with being be attacked by clouds of mosquitoes. We couldn't be outside. Even bought bug suits just so we could garden. Now we roam freely unmolested by mosquitoes. So just get it already and stop thinking about it.

It's an expensive service but it works very well. We never put bug spray on anymore, and we back onto a forest, some of it a bit swampy. Without Mosquito Buzz the mosquitoes here are awful.I appreciate that they tell me one day ahead that they're going to visit, and the guys who apply the product generally take their time, are thourough, and ask us if we have any concerns or areas to avoid (like a veggie garden). We've been using this service for 4 years now.

This is an update to my previous review which I deleted. With a great deal of hope we were looking forward to this working. Sadly, it did not work for us. I have to give them credit, they went over and above to try to get us relief from our big mosquito problem. They made extra visits, a few days in a row, and tried everything. They wanted it to work for us so bad. I felt like I was being overly fussy and felt like I was wasting their time. I offered that they refund me for the remaining visits only and not bother coming back. Much to my pleasant surprise, they refunded in full. Completely not necessary but goes to show that they are indeed a very reputable company. So we're back to using our mosquito vacuum and zapper, with good success. Thanks for everything.

Great service! We got both the mosquito and the tick control service. We live in an area with a LOT of trees and water not far away. Even with the inability to spray near the water, we were able to use our yard all season and we had ZERO ticks this year (compared to 5 last year) on our pets. Will be using next year for sure!

Trespassed and sprayed my property. We caught them when they were spraying. They called us lairs. They were told to get off the property but they stayed in the driveway for 15 minutes. They also left garbage on the property. Now I’m not sure if it’s safe to let my dog outside.

I'm a new customer with a heavily treed yard. Inside my back yard we are virtually mosquito free. On the other side to the trees tonight I was walking my dog and was almost eaten alive. I have to say I was not sure this would work that well, but so far so good! Even at night when we have lights on in the upstairs, no mosquitos are buzzing around the windows!!! We used Mosquito.Buzz for our daughter's wedding. It was expensive and it really didn't work. I called after the first and second sprays right before the wedding to let them know that we still had mosquitos and that I was concerned. After the wedding, I let them know that the bugs were pretty bad and we were not at all satisfied. They said they'd come back to set traps and do another spray as a courtesy. Even after following up with them several times they never came as promised. I wouldn't waste your money.

Called on Wed early August. HELP, family party this Sat and the mosquitos will eat them alive. First monthly service provided that Friday and not a peep from my bug averse family members the next day. Great service that we will use full season next year. My guys worked on a property next-door where they sprayed just the smell was sickening and then we witnessed a lot of bees dying there were a few of them on my truck, you could tell they had been poisoned. I wanted to wait until the second application was applied to leave this review. I this point I am convinced that whatever Mosquito Buzz is doing must be witchcraft! We live in a rural part of Ottawa on 2 wooded acres and for 12 years the mosquito infestation at our place made it impossible to enjoy the outdoors. We would have to run to the car in the morning and then spend the first 10 minutes of the drive killing the buggers that got in the car. Note that the problem was not just at dawn and dusk, but all day long and in any weather and any temperature. It was so bad that no amount of Deep Woods Off was enough to protect you. After the first treatment, I was absolutely amazed. Not a single mosquito in sight. Being a skeptic, I figured we would get a few mosquito free days, but 2 weeks later I can count the number of mosquitos I’ve seen on one hand. Mosquito Buzz, you have saved our summer and I can’t thank you enough. For those of you considering this service, do not hesitate. Do it and reclaim your yard!

Our neighbour hired this company to spray their yard for the last three or four years. I asked the sprayers repeatedly not to spray into our yard but they kept coming back and doing it regardless. The chemicals they use are toxic to cats (permetherin, deltamethrin), bees, fish and many good insects that help keep annoying insects down. They affect the human nervous system and reproductive system and it is against regulation to spray anywhere where humans are present. Nonetheless this company sprayed both me and my husband bodily many times so that we were covered in the stuff and had it in our noses, eyes and throats. These chemicals are class 3 pesticides- poison. You do not want this stuff on you, around your kids, bees, or your animals. They continued to spray directly into our property through the chain link fence, over and under the solid fences. they sprayed on windy days (which is against the regulation for some of those chemicals, one of which is deltamethrin (in Deltaguard)) and sometimes the first clue we had they were spraying was we could taste the chemicals wafting through our open windows. They also sprayed into our drainage ditch which goes directly into the Rideau & the water table and the chemicals they are spraying are toxic to fish. When I asked what they were spraying they told me "an all natural product made from chrysanthemums." Hate to tell you but all chemicals on the Earth are "all natural" that does not mean they are not toxic, poisonous, harmful. The company seemed to not be informing our neighbours about any downside or danger - not sure they would have listened anyway. I do not trust this company - they are sloppy and don't inform their customers or apparently their workers properly. They wear masks and gear so their employees are protected even as they spray other humans without warning. We cannot let our cats out during or after they spray, or afterwards since our cats like to much on our grass and the residue lasts for up to 6 weeks after which the company comes back and sprays our property again. We have a violent neighbour and this has led to threats of violence against us. When I told the MOE about their practices the company simply dropped our neighbours as a client. The MOE told me it is this company's policy to do that rather than risk legal action or having their license taken away. If all of this doesn't convince you, just look at the areas they spray: does your lawn turn yellow there faster than anywhere else on your property? Are your cats sicker than usual? Have they been diagnosed with any digestive or stomach issues? Just be aware that there is always a price to be paid for a fast toxic solution to a few nagging insects.

Product does not work. We are constantly chased inside by swarms of mosquitoes by 9pm every night. Waste of $700. Spend 80 bucks on a Thermocell and a few pads and you'll have much better protection then this so called barrier. Edit: Changed from 1 to 3 stars as I was contacted after this review and an angry email I sent off. They are very motivated in changing my mind. A senior technician came out to the house and reapplied the spray. I will reserve judgment on the effectiveness until I have more time to see the results. It seemed better around 9pm but I didn't notice any mosquitoes off the property either when I went to my neighbor's. I'll update this weekend when I'm able to sit out later.

We are thrilled with the results of our first treatment for mosquitos and ticks. The first day was amazing and the days that followed were just as great. We live in the country and have standing water behind our property and there are no mosquitos, even after 2 days of heavy rainfall last week all is good. So glad I found out about these services when Mosquito Buzz was working at my neighbors house. It made a big difference in the # of mosquitos in our back yard. We were able to use the yard all evening throughout the summer.. that was a first for me.. Additional feedback.. on 2 occasions I called because there were lots of mosquitos after the service techs sprayed, and Mosquito buzz admin were very friendly and responsive and someone came out and sprayed within a few days of my call. Great responsive customer service !

Prior to using the services of Mosquito Buzz you could not spend any time outdoors, day or night, on our property. We also had an abundance of ticks that were repeatedly found on our dogs and kids. Our property is heavily treed and after using Mosquito Buzz we have yet to see another tick and can enjoy our yard mosquito free during all hours of the day. This is now our second summer using this service and will continue to do so in the future.

I read the reviews for Mosquito Buzz and I concur with all the glowing comments that have been posted. My husband and I initially contacted Mosquito Buzz for our daughter's wedding reception which was held in our mosquito infested yard in mid-July 2019, and after talking to a Mosquito Buzz rep we ended up signing up for the summer season. This was a smart move on our part. The wedding reception was basically mosquito free, as was our entire summer! Mosquito Buzz has transformed our outdoor living experience. Had Mosquito.Buzz done last year out of desperation. We live in a small wooded lot. Our zappers were not keeping up, fogging gave us only a few hours. We resorted to wearing mosquito suits. The applications were effective immediately and the crews were on time for each one as per schedule. I was able to BBQ in peace. I was so happy I'm a repeat customer this year.

Ok, so I am the biggest skeptic on the planet but thought that of this even works a little bit I’ll take it. After just one application, the mosquitoes are gone from my property. Keep in mind, I have 3 acres surrounded by mixed bush. The mosquitoes are treacherous. I spent the entire last weekend without one mosquito bite until I left my property. Like magic, they’re gone. Don’t believe me, try it……simply Amazing.

I noticed a difference after the first spray. There are significantly less mosquitos. We can sit under our Apple tree and in our hot tub without the swarm. Much more enjoyable.
