I had a yellow jacket problem. I called a couple places and initially went with the first one to call me back. Bad decision as that place never showed up - spent an entire day waiting - and they never called me back to explain why. So, I contacted Maximum via their web site, got a quick emailed response to call them on the phone. Did so, got their voice mail, thought "here we go again", left a message. Had a call back within minutes! They showed up when they said they would and appear to have done a good job eliminating the problem (this review is written the next day). These guys could write a book on quality customer service.

When I first checked this business out and saw the raving reviews, I thought it was too good to be true, however when Ash arrived, on time as promised, it didn't take long to realize that he was the "real deal"! Very friendly, courteous, professional, and certainly knew his stuff. Ash was totally upfront about it being the end of my yellow jacket hornet problems, going further to educate me with regards to their habitat, dying off in the winter and not returning to the same location twice. Straight up, he insisted I didn't need any treatment, provided a complimentary fumigation at the point of entry to ensure that their existence had been completed terminated. Great business to deal with and one that I would highly recommend.

No one ever wants to admit they have a rodent problem in their house. When we had our air conditioning replaced, it was relocated to the other side of our house. The installer plugged the old wiring holes in our brick wall with spray foam. This was easy pray for rodents to get in our house and cause a lot of damage. We realized we could not handle the problem ourselves, so we had to call in the professionals. We have been using Maximum Pest Control for the past 4 months, and have had great success. Maximum came to the two building that Im Assistant manager for. They came and did a full inspection on all the unites in both buildings. Found some critters contained them to where they were. They have sprayed all infected units and are coming back in 14 days. These people have great communication and are always on time for the job. Also, it seems a high likelihood that the appointment was never recorded, as I am sure that if it had been properly logged, you would have no doubt offered excellent service. You can't have computer records if no entry was made. Was it possible that a temp was working the office switchboard in the month leading up to the holiday? It would explain a no-show appointment, and this seems to be a reoccurring problem for your business after reading some of the other reviews. The receptionist hung up on us twice when attempting to put us on hold. When she said someone would call us back, no one did. We waited over a week. When we asked her about sending someone for a consultation, she booked us in for an appointment, I took time off work to be home for it and no one showed up. We gave up on them and tried to figure out an alternative solution. I am sorely disappointed, as I have heard good things about this company. I hope our experience was singular and not an overall representation of the company, though I am not sure why it went this way.

You sounded like that your policy is NOT to ask people to pay before the job but only to sign the paper? But there is no place for pre-job signature. We already confirm the email. Where to put the pre-job signature ??? The old gentleman stood there by the door waiting for me to get my check. It took me a while to understand why he is not moving but just waiting. So I had to go upstairs to find my purse first. It's quite strange. That's when I said: "why is it so URGENT to get paid first?" Then the word "URGENT" became "ASIAN" to his ear. Now I really wonder if ALL the customers are supposed to do the pre-job payment, or in another word, are ALL the customers being treated equally? I'm going to get some feedback from people. Your company policy sounds very interesting. ========================== This company is ridiculous. It took them quite a while but still got my name spelled wrong. Not so sure that was the reason that their appointment confirmation email went to my junk mail. But finally after an appointment setup, an old man came at my door around 1:30PM. He demanded to get paid first before anything else. That was strange but that's their company policy. So I said:" why is it so URGENT to get paid first?", then the man thought I was saying:" because I am an Asian so you want me to pay first". He got upset and decided to leave while I was getting my check book. He did apologize for confusing over "Urgent" vs "Asian" but he still decided to cancel the service. I'm wondering if there's some kind of Race issue going on? I don't mind he canceling the service because there are many companies can provide this service and we are not in an emergency situation. But being so sensitive to the word "Asian" and to an Asian, that just made me wonder.

Got an appointment with Maximum Pest Control Service to assess a bee hive at my house. I was told a professional has to come and assess the hive situation before a quote can be given. Appointment was made and I was told to be home during this time. Took 1/2 from work to be at home when they came. No-one showed up. When I called the next day, they told me that They do not do bees and they are not certified. Why was the appointment made in the first place? If it was a mistake why does the company refuse to call the client and let them know there was a mistake? Instead I wasted a half vacation day for a lack of customer service. Not happy

Disclaimer: I didn’t use their services for the fumigation treatment. This review is about the inspection fees and the pricing. I asked Maximum Pest Control for a quote for an investment home I recently purchased. I was told that an inspection was required. Ash (the tech) was a great guy. He came to the home on time and explained things clearly. On the other hand, I later found out that the $200 that I was charged for the inspection/quote was essentially not necessary. I called 3-4 other pest control companies, and they were able to give me a quote right away with some basic information (such as the square footage of the house, the number of rooms). When I finally received the quote from this company, it was $3000. That’s almost 3 times more expensive than all of the other fumigation services in town. I doubt that their quality of work is worth that sort of markup. Maybe someone in the industry can correct me if I’m wrong. Lesson learned: if you know a house has bed bugs and are going to get it fumigated anyway, don’t pay for a 200 dollar ‘inspection’ to tell you what you already know.

After weeks of rain this spring, it became very humid and some ants started showing on my 2nd floor bathroom end of May, which never happened before. I tried DIY approach and bought Toro and other ant baits and traps. They did work for about a week, then ants returned and ignored those baits. After battling with these little creatures for one month, I decided to switch gear to call a pro for help. Going through the reviews and making a few calls, finally I picked Maximum Pest Control. Looking back today, it was definitely the right choice. Angie was very nice helping book appt time of my choice and answering all kinds of initial questions; Dr Ash shows up on time a day later to do onsite assessment. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient and answered every single question I had. He provided quotes for both year round solution and single treatment with new customer discount, and advised that more than one treatment might be needed. While walking around the house, he also provided very useful tips on how to keeps ants away. I then called him back asking more questions and decided to go with single treatment. Randy came over on 2nd appt and treated both indoor and outdoor with mask on. He was following the protocol and giving clear instructions. I phoned Ash again a week later to clear up a few more questions and he was as patient as talking to me for the first time. Surprisingly, when he learned it rained two days after the spray, he offered one FREE treatment to ensure the effectiveness. It was impressive! Update for owner comment. The owner comments missed 2 important information and provides 1 misleading information. 1. The company tries to charge you a lot more by providing unnecessary services. Eg."when technician founds no animal in the attic, the company suggested to install a trap first to catch the animal coming from outside and then close the gap, versus closing the gap immediately (no animal found back then). The company can charge a lot more money by installing the trap. 2. The fee for doing inspection and closing the gap are$199 and $99. By adding the unnecessary trap, it becomes $199 and $720 plus tax. 3. The services is for animal inspection. It's ridiculous that the company say it provide mice service at no charge. It means the company might charge you extra if it finds the mice. It might charge you extra if it finds other animal. The rating is rigged. I have called a services to inspect the roof because my tenant heard some animal noises. The company sent an technician, did the inspection and report there is a gap on my attic but found no animals on spot. They charged $199 plus taxes, which I agreed. Here comes the worse part, the company wants to charge me $710 plus tax to install a trap first and then close the gap next. It makes no sense because why not closing the gap right away instead of installing the trap if there is no animals found in the attic at the scene. I called them the next day and asked how much does it cost to do inspection and close the gap together the reception said its $199 for inspection and $99 for closing the gap. I told her my situation and she told me she was missing some file and would call me back. When she called me back, the price of closing gap jumps to $375 from $99. Her attitude is also very rude and saying that the price is decided by the manager that I can do it or not. I inquiry other four pets control companies and all they said this is very unprofessional.

I had some ants problem in my house and I found Maximum Pest Control after reading that many positive reviews on Google. Ash showed up punctually after my appointment was made. I was impressed by how knowledgeable and professional Ash is. He thoroughly inspected all the spots in and out of the house, quickly identified the issues, helped clean up the dusty areas in the garage, then applied the ant spray. A month later I noticed there were some dead ants at one of the treated spots. Unsure of what's happening I called them for another inspection. The receptionist was very friendly over the phone, she made another appointment for me as quickly as possible. Purchased a new home in Oakville and discovered a mice infestation. Needless to mention, it's a very unpleasant surprise, especially if you have small children. After some research, called maximum pest. Love that seemingly weird guy (Ash), had a good conversation and laugh with him, and most importantly, he seems to have resolved the issue very quickly. I did follow his instructions very closely, as obviously there are things you will have to do on your home once he identifies entry points. If you think you can handle the issue on your own... think again, for two reasons. First, he has experience and knows better than you. Much better. Everything he had told me day one turned out to be true. Second, you don't have access to the same poisons professional services do. They are regulated. Since I mentioned poisons, you may have doubts whether to use them or not. Poisons are used because they work, and they work much better and faster than anything else. You will see a lot of discussion whether you should use humane methods, and how poisons don't resolve the problem. It's a complete treehugger's nonsense and my advice is to ignore this - you will likely end up with more mice than when you started and expose your family to serious health risks. You need something that kills mice quickly to prevent them from replicating, and second-generation rodenticides are it. Ash places them in tamper-proof boxes where no creature other than mice can access them. Since I found one dead mouse, I can confirm that there is no smell - it dries out as apparently nothing will touch it. I highly recommend this service for mice problem, and specifically Ash personally.

The absolute laziest people. I had heard birds in my oven vent for months, once the noise stopped I started noticing bird mites on my stove top and in the cupboard above my stove. This poor excuse for a company came out, didn’t even take out the fan to check and guaranteed me there was no nest. Since then I have called someone else and this is what he found. The vent was literally packed from front to back with a bird nest and everything g filthy thing that comes with that. It was disgusting not to mention a serious fire hazard as the fan motor had no room to breathe. Please do not use these people, they clearly do not take their job seriously and it could cause serious repercussions for you. Also, when he left, he had the nerve to ask me for a 5 star review, are you kidding me? I have half a mind to sue these people for negligence. Needless to say I do NOT recommend them.

Last night after a highly successful dinner party where our guests left at 1:45am, my husband and I noticed a mice scurrying in our kitchen. I was literally paralyzed with fear. It hid under our stove and after many attempts to prompt it to move from under the stove and outside to our balcony door, we called Maximum Pest Control and left a message around 3am. At 8:30am, I got a call from a highly professional employee explaining what could’ve happened and would schedule a tech to attend our home between noon and 1pm. Ash, the tech, couldn’t have been anymore wonderful. The reviews on Google all reflect his professionalism, in-depth knowledge and passion for what he does. He took the time to explain how the mouse could get in (we live in a townhouse so each house is connected and there was a gap behind our stove), showed us videos of how they gain entry similar to our situation, and more importantly, explained how to prevent the mouse from getting back in (closing interior and exterior holes). He even got down on his knees to examine our fireplace and gave us recommendations to cover the holes. Ash didn’t try to upsell any costly service that we didn’t need, but better believe we will be calling him back should we ever need to. Ash, thank you for your kindness, time, and professionalism. If I could give you 10 stars I would.

Maximum-Pest came to our house very quickly and sprayed the infested area of wasps. The area was cleared within 2 hours and we were wasp free for a week. The wasps however were so determined to come back and build their nest again. We had a 3 month guarantee, so we called to get it resprayed a week later. Within 1 hour they were at our front door and ready to take care of the problem again. The exterminator was super friendly and within a few minutes the job was done. My husband and I are so pleased with service we are getting and will not hesitate to use their services again should we run into another infestation. Keep up the good job!

We have a problem with bees that were hanging out under our pool deck and attacking us. I called Maximum Pest control after hours and was able to speak with someone immediately. Ash came the next day and was able to tell us that the bees were just carpenter bees and that they weren't living under the deck only hanging out there. He told us that we wouldn't need his services but added that all we needed to do was fill the holes between the cement and the grass and that would get rid of them. He also said that they only attack if you swat at them. He didn't charge us for the call, which we thought was very nice. If we ever require the services of a pest control expert again, we won't hesitate to contact Maximum Pest Control.

Would not ever recommend this company for insect pest control. Very disappointed. Ash was knowledgeable yet somewhat pushy, knowing we wanted to rid ourselves of our pest issue we had been living with for months. We had two days to prep a multi level home with multiple people and animals during pandemic restrictions and Ash assured us what we accomplished would suffice in allowing them to conduct the service needed. Due to our animals most of us stayed away for a few days. Upon returning, within a couple days we started seeing pests again from all the same locations as prior and by two weeks nearly as frequently as prior to the service. There were 4 mouse glue traps laid down and we did find evidence of residual spray in a few cupboards yet it didn't explain why the issue seemed unchanged. Due to our uneasy feeling about the cost incurred, the lack of results and no guarantee additional service would result in any change we chose to cancel any further treatments. We chose another company and had one service which was nearly half the cost and guaranteed for 6 months and we have had no issues in over 2 months.

Had some issues with wasp nests around back patio door, at the top of our roof where the pitch meets the brick wall. There is an unusual/unfinished opening that is covered amateurishly by a piece of random roof flashing. (Why it was never filled with, um, brick, I’ll never understand.) Wasn’t a bother until it became like a game of dodgeball getting in and out of the door. Called Maximum earlier this week and in less than 45 minutes, Ash arrived to investigate. Murphy’s Law, of course, he couldn’t see anything coming or going from that spot. Instead of putting on airs and “treating” the space needlessly, he simply stated that he could not treat what he cannot see. No charge! He could have easily have treated it...to no avail...and charged me for my piece of mind, but he was a consummate professional and chose honesty as the best policy. I would not hesitate to recommend Ash and The crew at Maximum Pest Control. You have nothing to lose aside from the very pests you called them about in the first place!

He was very helpful explaining the situation, how to get rid of them, and also provided preventative tips and suggestions (he was also quite funny)! We had Ash come over and map out a plan to get rid of rats in our backyard!! We couldn't believe that we had rats!! He assured us that He was going to take care of the problem and in a few short weeks they would be gone. Well, he was right!! Everything he said, happened and we no longer have rats in our backyard. We had a moth infestation in our home. I called Maximum Pest Control on Friday morning, and they sent Ash on Friday afternoon to deal with the issue. I was impressed with the speed of the service. Ash was very knowledgeable, knew straight away where to look for the nasty little buggers. Whilst he was looking around for the moths he also noticed that we have had another problem due to the previous pest company Orkin not dealing with the issue properly and thoroughly. I was Renovating the inside of my house. As we were removing walls in one area of the house we noticed wasps flying in the house. I called Maximum Pest Control and I the lady that answered the phone was so polite and really went out of her way to help us get an appointment with Ash the same day! Ash arrived on time and ready to help me out. Ash went above and beyond the call of duty because he helped educate me of all the pitfalls I had around my house that could attract unwanted animals/insects.
