Edit#2: I have attached screenshots of the conversation - it's very clear that I gave plenty of opportunity for Ken to explain what services he was offering. Any sane person would not spend $400 for an individual to come and install a door - at no point was any other follow up or services mentioned besides the door, even when I asked. Not once did you mention an estimate, free or not. As for the cost - all I was looking for was someone who would get the job done, not just put in a door and leave it at that, as I said in my email, if you had explained your method when I asked the first two times, you would have had another customer. Feel free to investigate it, my review is honest, even if you don't like my experience with your company. As for my previous reviews, I have a lot of positive ones as well. I feel it's important to give both negative and positive feedback when necessary. EDIT: Ken reached out to me with a very rude and degrading tone demanding I remove this review. He stated that the review does not represent what the company stands for. Please be note - this is the exact conversation listed below... horrible customer service. Appalled by the lack of information provided. I reached out for an estimate on squirrel removal, spoke with Ken, and got no information to what I'd be paying for. I was told it's $360+hst and $25-$50 for further prevention areas. I replied and asked what this would include and the response I received was, "One way door installation for the squirrels to come out and not back in". Seriously? $360+hst for a door??? I questioned this by saying, "So, $360+hst is just for you guys to come by and install a 1 way door? Seems a little pricey for $15 in material... No clean up, or removal of babies if there is any? No follow up? Do you offer a guarantee? Do you do a full inspection of routes of entry? I'm looking for some details.". Ken replied saying, "It's not about the $15 dollars in material which is not by the way, You can call around and see that my prices are competitive in the industry i give 3 years guarantee on the areas that I work on. You are free to choose". No thank you Ken, I was hoping for some actual information, and a little customer service; apparently you have none of that to offer. Is it really that hard to let me know what you would be doing? Letting me know why it's worth $400. Maybe hire a customer service rep - I'm certain you could make use of them. Anyone looking for help with unwanted wildlife/pest - go elsewhere. This has to be the worst experience I've had trying to get information.

Brutal, once Ken has your money he is gone! He showed up, set up his one way door, after 2 weeks he came back asked me if the squirrels were gone then sealed it up. The squirrels are still in the attic. I called and talked to him and he has not returned.....beware the service is beyond poor avoid at all costs

He removed the birds and then applied metal grates to prevent any more wildlife from accidentally returning. Pricing was competitive. Ken was professional, prompt, and very knowledgeable. This is the first time that we have the raccoon problem in our house. We are really lucky to find a professional company- First Choice Wildlife Service. Before Ken started to do the work, he is really patient to explain the situation after the inspection and answer all of our questions in detail. When he and his colleague performed their works, it was fast and professional to ensure that raccoon will not coming back again. I had an ugly situation where a skunk was trapped in a window well under a deck. The pipe into my furnace was nearby and I guess it got scared or something and sprayed so the smell went into the house. It was becoming and emergency. I had no way of removing it without being sprayed myself. This is on a Sunday but Ken showed up in minutes and bravely opened the window from the inside and safely got it out of the window well and onto the ground. He placed some wood over the window well opening so it won't fall back in. I guess it will run away soon! Great and prompt service, and price was very reasonable! Recommend.

I am absolutely grateful to have come across Ken and First Choice. I have had nothing but excellent service. We recently discovered that we had a squatter of the Racoon type try to make himself a home in the lower roofline of our house. The little rascal managed, with Ninja like skills, to quietly pry up one of the roof vents and turned it into his own personal entrance. Of course, we noticed noises coming from our family room ceiling shortly after he moved in. Luckily, that portion of the roof is isolated from the rest of the house but we needed to evict the little bandit faced squatter immediately. That’s when I called Ken. I called Ken early on a Friday morning and he came out within a few hours. He confirmed that my guest was indeed a Raccoon and immediately proceeded to install a one-way door on the broken roof vent and secure the other vent with wire screening. Within a couple of days our guest got hungry and thirsty and made his way out one night to forage for food and found himself locked out and looking for somewhere else to live. I love animals but Too bad, so sad. Ken returned within a few days after to remove the one-way door and to replace the broken air vent and secure it with wire screening. So far, we have yet to see our hairy friend again, by that I mean the Raccoon not Ken. I hope not to need Kens services again but if I do, I won’t hesitate to call him. And if you are looking for honest, prompt and professional work done I recommend you call him as well.

I found a opossum under my kitchen sink so I searched for a 24 hrs service on google. The technician came immediately and removed the opossum surprisingly within 15 minutes with care. Excellent and fast service from beginning to end! Definitely recommend First Choice Wildlife Services! We had raccoons under our deck for over a year now. However within the past month or so we’ve been seeing them roaming around during the day as well as finding them climbing up our house at night which started to really concern us as we know the damage they can cause to homes. So we started to call around and spoke to Ken at First Choice. He came over the same day to assess our situation and provided us with quote to help protect our house and deck. The quote was to cover all our vents on the roof as well as trench and screen around our whole deck and install a temporary one-way door where the raccoons were entering and leaving. The quote was large but fairly reasonable for the work that was being done. We had called around to others and there were two things that stood out with First Choice right from the beginning. Firstly and most important was that he was kind and patient through the whole process. Secondly he was able to do the preventative measures the following week while others were saying they wouldn’t do the trenching/screening until the spring which Ken advised would be too late and a bigger problem as the raccoons would most likely have babies by then (which was actually our situation last spring). We felt like they were knowledgeable with their recommendations as well as knowing their work was guaranteed for 3 years was also a great reassurance. The following week Ken and his team came and did all the work within hours. Then a couple weeks later he came back to remove the one-way entrance and seal it up like the rest. Since First Choice came, it has been a relief and stress off our backs knowing that the raccoons have moved on and that our house is protected. Thanks again to Ken and his team for their amazing work!

Woke up by noises from my roof soffit every morning in the past week, got some concerns of if that were squirrel visits. Called FirstChoice, and Ken, a very nice gentleman, showed up at my door. After a few checks he said that would be birds and made a small opening on soffits to let the them out. After a short waiting, two birds flew away from the opening. I was so shocked by how quickly and accurately he could identify the problem. Ken and Shawn came back the next day to cover all the gaps/vents with wire mesh to prevent birds from going inside. Had a racoon that made its way into my attic in the middle of the night and I called a couple of places including First Choice Wildlife Services in the morning. Decided to go with them as they could come out within a couple of hours. Called First Choice Wildlife Removal as I had "what I thought" was a Massassauga Rattle Snake in my backyard. Ken picked up the call and was able to come out within 20mins. Upon seeing the snake he assured me it was not a Rattlesnake but something that looks similar - Eastern Milk Snake. Nonetheless, he was gentle with it and took it across to the middle of the field. I would definitely recommend this removal service as they have splendid customer service and efficient workers.

I called Ken and received a prompt call back the very next day. What impressed me the most is that he showed up exactly at the time he committed to. He was observant, knowledgable and came up with a plan to tackle our issues pretty quickly. Birds were getting into vents and we had been skunked a couple of times within 45 days just beside our air exchanger, which brought fantabulous (not) smell into our home! Metal covers for the vents were affordable and quick to attach. The project to get rid of potential skunks under our patio was a bit more elaborate. It required removing some stones and attaching a wire mesh to the deck and bringing it out a foot or so to disincentivize pests from digging under easily. He put in a one way door that allowed any guests to leave and came back in five days to remove the door and finish the job. I didn't have to call him and remind him (I had already paid for the job). Very professional. I can't comment much on the cost because I didn't call in competing quotes, my aim was to just get it all done, but I would call Ken again in a heartbeat should I need his services again.

I highly recommend First Choice Wilderness Animal Control. We had a skunk nest in our attic and she gave birth to two little ones. Ken was quick to respond and resolve the issue of our unwanted intruder and her little ones-all were out safely within 48 hours. We have had a problem with a Possum and skunk each alternating sleeping arrangements under our porch. We called around and finally settled on First Choice Wildlife.
