They are really great at getting cluster flies under control! We live in Bragg Creek where this seems to be a problem for many people. They don’t even charge extra for coming out here! We are so happy that the flies are no longer taking up residence in our home over the winter. I love that they call to make sure that the problem is taken care of and are willing to come out for extra treatments if the problem isn’t resolved. Great customer service! We used this company a number of years ago and were more than happy with their service, knowledge and professionalism. We were having work on our tile roof and the roofer was stung by some angry wasps. We called this company and when we discussed the event they came out immediately. The problem was solved and the roofer was no longer "bugged". Today over the phone an ant issue in one of my raised vegetable beds was discussed. I was given some excellent advice, there was no fee attached, and I believe we might have figured out the source of the problem. All in one short phone call. Thank you Japco. I rate JAPCO Pest Control a 10 out of 10 score. My country home was under siege by ants of all types. Especially extremely harmful Carpenter Ants. We tried large quantities of most consumer grade products available from retailers like Home Depot and spent a fortune on them. More than the flat fee I paid JAPCO. Right from the first call I made to JAPCO staff and every dealing with their Technical Experts we were impressed with their knowledge and execution was top notch. Our situation was very serious and most concerning as they breached the foundation and ran rampant throughout the house. James and Mike, the Technical Experts were very personable and knew their stuff. With the shear number of Carpenter Ants it took a few applications but it is now one week since the last application and we haven't seen a sign of these damaging insects. I called JAPCO on 3 occasions to schedule visits and JPACO worked the appointments into my schedule. With the one year warranty I can sleep at night knowing they have my property and best interests in mind. There was no nickel and diming like some of their competitors as they worked on a flat fee. We were so very impressed with Japco Pest Control. We had a major problem with voles making a home under our split level deck, and had made at least 16 holes in the back yard. They responded to my plea for help immediately. They were very helpful, friendly & professional!! Not only did they pay attention to the existing holes, but also searched around the entire property for any other problem areas. They gave us guidance on when to fill the holes, and said they would be in contact with us in 2 weeks. Exactly two weeks later we got that call and we were very happy to report no more holes! The large ants were on our property for several years before I knew that they were Carpenter Ants and the damage they can do. Last summer, when I realised what I was dealing with, I did a ton of research, tried tackling them on my own, called in another company whose price seemed way over the top and after some more research discovered Japco. Luckily, I spoke with Melanie, who totally understood the problem, assured me that James would get to the bottom of it and stood behind it with a one-year guarantee. By then, the ants had found their way into our home; fortunately, not a total infestation… yet. James was excellent, very thorough and determined to get them. He happily accommodated our request to spray the interior at a convenient time for us. Melanie reminded me to watch carefully for signs of ants in the spring and when I found several dead ants in April, Japco followed up without any complaint or problem. They happily did the job as promised. Hopefully we’ve seen the end of them, but I know Japco is there for me if they come back. Thanks Japco for the great job!

We live on an acreage and have used Japco on 3 occasions, twice for pocket gophers outside and once now for mice inside. They are my go to for pest control. On all occasions, they were very knowledgeable and very polite. This last time was for a mouse issue (the first after living here for 18 years). I called around Christmas and even though they had limited staff due to the holidays, James came and set up the feeding stations. We was very professional and knowledgeable. He told us where they may be getting in and what to do to close it off. He has been back a few times to check and know we are mice-free. He was amazing. I recommended Japco to our neighbour who had a problem with pocket gophers. She had used another company which was more expensive and didn't solve the issue. She was very happy with Japco. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. Like most people, I’m sensitive to having any kind of invader in my house. Luckily, I’ve never had any unwelcome guests more than a spider or two - except for one event many years ago. Our apartment building in another province had become infested with carpet beetles and larvae. Of course, our apartment was eventually affected and it was so horrifying and out of control until the exterminators came. Fast forward to present day, a few days ago, I noticed a couple of beetles in my bedroom, and some larvae. I think something got in through my open window and terrible screen. In any event, based on my last experience, I panicked thinking my house was somehow infested. Turns out, that was not the case at all (phew!). I called Japco in a state of utter panic. I spoke with Melanie about the issue and possible treatment. She was so kind and knowledgeable and offered so much information and great guidance. She advised that it didn’t sound like I had a problem - just a few bugs that lots of extra cleaning (like vacuuming a couple of times each day and checking all my closets/drawers) would likely take care of. But, because I was so distressed, I asked her about treatment options. She completely empathized with my sensitivity based on the severity of my experience years ago and made the efforts to book me in right away. She discussed the treatment protocols thoroughly. She asked me about my hardwood flooring, to make sure they used something that wouldn’t cause any damage - I would not have even thought to bring that up. Based on the unique flooring I have, she consulted with a few of her service technicians to get their recommendation for treatment protocol, and they all came back with the same plan. In the end, Melanie spent 3 days speaking with me and over half an hour with me during our last call. She actually advised against me treating the house - she listened to all my fears and concerns, and responded with knowledge, compassion, and exceptional solutions. She emphasized Japco’s core value of starting with the least invasive treatment necessary. She advised that, based on the information I provided, this problem was likely to resolve itself and was nothing near the problem I feared it was. She recommended some glue boards just to keep an eye on things and said if I continued to see things, to call her back, even if i only saw 1 or 2 (not a sign of a severe problem) and I was anxious about it and just wanted some further advice or reassurance. She also said that in the unlikely event it gets worse, to just call her back anytime and she’d book me in right away. I was so impressed and appreciative. She checked in with her service techs as needed but, as office manager, was incredibly knowledgeable herself. She told me everything like species variance, food sourcing, movement patterns, etc. In the end I agreed with her advice to hold off on treatment and just monitor the situation, as it was not severe and seemed to be a one off event that was under control. Because she had spent so much time with me, and helped me solve my issue, I offered to pay a consultation fee as an appreciation of all their time and effort in helping me. She graciously declined and said this is just what they do. This company clearly operates with a high level of integrity and credibility, and I feel so fortunate to have found them. They could have easily booked me in for hundreds of dollars of treatment and taken my money, that I was willing to pay. Instead, they provided me with an honest solution, even though it was at no cost benefit to them. And they certainly made a stressful situation so much more manageable. While I sure hope I don’t need any future pest control, if I ever do, Japco will be my only phone call and I’d happily recommend them to others.

We called Japco to help us with an external mouse problem on Wednesday Aug 1 and Brandon their technician arrived promptly on Friday Aug 3 at the scheduled time. This is the second time that we have used Japco and both times we have found both their office staff and technicians to be friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. On their first visit their treatment for an awkward wasp problem was successful and never had to be repeated. This time their proposed solution was completely safe for children, pets and birds. It is too early to see if it will work but I have every confidence that it will.

I called another company (8:45 am) which took forever for them to even answer the phone, when they finally answered, they agreeded to arrive between a certain time with a 40 minute window for me to drive to the location. I waited all day with numerous phone calls to the company, with NOTHING, no word, no phone call, no explanation why the technician hadn't called me? At 4:40 pm same day, I called JAPCO as I saw their great 5 star ratings. The very helpful person (Melanie) I spoke with tried to get a technician out the same day for me however, it was too late in the day. JAPCO made an appointment with me for the following day, they were there exactly when they said they would for the appointment. James, the technician, was prompt, professional, courteous & thorough, he did not rush through the home just to get the job done, even though it was the end of his day. I sincerely appreciated James' strong work ethic & his care with a resolution with the mice problem! I should have called JAPCO first, we have other properties in Calgary & if there are any other future issues, I will be certain to call JAPCO first! I highly recommend JAPCO, definitely 5 Stars, thank you.

I contacted Japco this afternoon to inquire about skunk removal at my residential property and spoke with Mel who was VERY informative and pleasant to deal with. Mel was able to privide me with some very useful information about skunks and how they integrate into life in your backyard!! Mel described what to look for, what they eat, the time of year it is best to have them removed and how to remedy the issues that got the skunk there in the first place. That being said, she certainly put me at ease given I have 2 small children and was able to book me in to have a trap set the following day explaining what to look for and to call when the skunk was caught. The price for the removal is very reasonable and the customer service I received from start to finish is some of the best I’ve had in years in any customer service based industry! I would definitely reccomend Japco to anyone in the future based on the customer service alone, the skunk removal seems like a bonus for me. Thank-you JAPCO! We can now walk the tree lined backyard at night again!

Every few years we find a pile of sawdust around our home and we know that this is part of living in a log home in the country. I always call Japco because they do a good job of eradicating those pesky carpenter ants and they guarantee their work. They offer suggestions on how to decrease the risk of getting carpenter ants and they look for the main nest as well as all satellite nests. The Japco employees are polite, friendly, on time, knowledgeable and they really do fix the problem. Thanks for coming out two months ago. I won't be calling you for a few years again!

Excellent consultation service! I had a wasp invasion problem in the house late Fall and had tried to call numerous pest control providers. Their answers were all very vague and that they won't come if I cannot find an active nest. The lady at JAPCO explained to me very clearly the life cycle of wasps and although there was nothing they could do at this point (wasps abandoning their nest and will die off), I was very relieved.
