Phantom took care of a wasp nest under the decking on our balcony. The nest was hidden but they used a few techniques to ensure that it was taken care of. I strongly recommend Phantom Pest Control for your extermination needs. We had a silverfish infestation caused by my parents hoarding their home. I called 5 companies and found Al and Myka to be the best - they were knowledgeable, responded quickly and thoroughly to my email questions, and were kind and respectful re: the hoarding. Their professionalism carried on to treatment day: they called to let me know when they were on the way, arrived within the appointment time window, and finished the job quickly. The silverfish are dying as I type this and I am very happy with how extermination day went. In addition, Al and Myka left us with instructions on how to reduce the risk of the silverfish coming back and let us know they are available to answer questions - so they also provide good aftercare. The hoarding and the age of my parent's house made it a difficult and stressful situation - a situation that could have set us up to be taken advantage of. In fact, after being told of our problems, one company said that it would be impossible to control the silverfish, that we could only maintain lower levels of silverfish, and that we needed to commit to regular appointments. Contrast that with Phantom Pest Control - even after learning of the challenges they told me that their goal is one treatment. I hope we don't have pest issues in the future, but if we do, I'll use Phantom Pest Control again.

Phantom was who we chose after looking up other Pest Control companies in our area and calling a few of them. We do not regret our decision. Al was accomodating our very short notice and very tight schedule for exclusion work (preventative measures) to protect our new place and us from rodents and silverfish. On the day: he came on time, was polite and personable. He did a thorough check of the unit and then sprayed against silverfish. He came back with a colleague two weeks later to close up any potential entry points for rodents. Again, both were polite and were working away while we were doing our own work. I found this business online and I contacted them. On their website, they state that they provide a free quote. When I spoke to them, they said they charge between $350-450 for a house. I explained that we only need to focus on a certain part of the home so Al said that they can provide a discount after seeing the place. So I booked an appointment. He asked me to provide my address and information via text so I did. I then wanted to confirm what was mentioned in the conversation to make sure that we didn't have any surprises. So he said that it is usually between $350-450 and will provide a discount if applicable.. He mentioned that there is a 90 day guarantee if we follow all the recommendations. But during our conversation, he mentioned that they seal entry points so I had to confirm what they do and don't do. So he explained that they will seal small entry points but not those "outside their scope". Then he goes onto say that given they haven't done an inspection, they won't know for sure as to what is required. He said that inspections cost $75 which will be waived if we choose to use their services. So I mentioned that on his website that it says free quote. He said that's what he provided on the phone. So I told him that he provided me a general range but he hasn't seen the property. To that, he responds with the assumption that their services won't fit my needs. I then respond by telling him that I still want to move forward with the appointment and that I just wanted to clarify the details so there were no surprises. His response to that was "we've decided that this job is not right fit for us." This is a business that cannot answer simple questions by a customer. I wasn't being difficult. I was looking for information as I found them online. The fact that they didn't want to answer questions and pushed my business away leads me to believe that this is a sketchy business. I normally don't do reviews but felt this one had to be done as they pride themselves on a 5 star rating. It's important to see who they really are. Book with them if you like to be surprised and okay with vague information. I explained on the call that the issue was in the crawl space and the basement. They were able to provide their service at that time but when I asked for clarification, they felt that they no longer could. They don't like to be question. I have also included our text message exchange. I honestly have nothing to hide. I am truly disappointed and I am making sure others know what they are getting into as most people find them online so need to have some idea of who they are and what they will do. I think I was being reasonable with my questions. I was not being rude. This company is not trustworthy. Only companies that have something to hide are afraid of questions. I asked simple straight-forward questions which is clear in our text exchange. I'm actually thankful that they declined their "service". I was able to get better service with 3 month guarantee for $220. He is a licensed professional and he came right away. He put lots of traps, poison, sealed entry points. No fuss and happy to serve his customers. I am sure there a lot of great options. You can get great service and price at the same time. So my advice is to those looking for pest control specialists, look around. I called many companies and I was quoted $250. No ranges or anything. I am a person that likes to know what will be expected. So having a price helps. So lots of people within the lower Mainland that can do a home for $250 in 2021. They offer the same services and guarantee. So shop around. They are all local, small businesses.

We noticed some univited visitors (big black flies and small flies) roaming around the house and wanted to deal with the problem ASAP. One of the first company that came up for pest control was Orkin. Assuming a bigger company would mean quality service and work... Wrong! Orkin dispatch assured someone from their local office would be in contact with me (still no call to date!). Narrowing down my search I came across Phantom Pest Solutions. I will be honest to say I was skeptical and unsure what service I would receive. I decided to call based on the 5 star reviews and testimonials. I spoke to Al and right away he was professional and asked many pertinent questions to narrow down the issue and possible solutions. I made an appointment and Al (and his assistant Laura) was at my house on time within the next 3 business days. Adhering to COVID 19 protocols Al and Laura wore masks and respected physically distancing throughout their work. As my pest issue appeared to come from the crawl space, Al conducted a full parameter inspection (interior and exterior) of my house. Al was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions regarding cause and prevention. To make a long story short, Al located the source and was able to remove and treat the affected area with non toxic solutions. In additional, Al also made a couple recommendations to prevent other pests from potentially enter our home. The service was quick, effective and very professional! In just 24 hours we have noticed a significant improvement throughout the house. I found this business online and I contacted them. On their website, they state that they provide a free quote. When I spoke to them, they said they charge between $350-450 for a house. I explained that we only need to focus on a certain part of the home so Al said that they can provide a discount after seeing the place. So I booked an appointment. He asked me to provide my address and information via text so I did. I then wanted to confirm what was mentioned in the conversation to make sure that we didn't have any surprises. So he said that it is usually between $350-450 and will provide a discount if applicable.. He mentioned that there is a 90 day guarantee if we follow all the recommendations. But during our conversation, he mentioned that they seal entry points so I had to confirm what they do and don't do. So he explained that they will seal small entry points but not those "outside their scope". Then he goes onto say that given they haven't done an inspection, they won't know for sure as to what is required. He said that inspections cost $75 which will be waived if we choose to use their services. So I mentioned that on his website that it says free quote. He said that's what he provided on the phone. So I told him that he provided me a general range but he hasn't seen the property. To that, he responds with the assumption that their services won't fit my needs. I then respond by telling him that I still want to move forward with the appointment and that I just wanted to clarify the details so there were no surprises. His response to that was "we've decided that this job is not right fit for us." This is a business that cannot answer simple questions by a customer. I wasn't being difficult. I was looking for information as I found them online. The fact that they didn't want to answer questions and pushed my business away leads me to believe that this is a sketchy business. I normally don't do reviews but felt this one had to be done as they pride themselves on a 5 star rating. It's important to see who they really are. Book with them if you like to be surprised and okay with vague information. I explained on the call that the issue was in the crawl space and the basement. They were able to provide their service at that time but when I asked for clarification, they felt that they no longer could. They don't like to be question. I have also included our text message exchange. I honestly have nothing to hide. I am truly disappointed and I am making sure others know what they are getting into as most people find them online so need to have some idea of who they are and what they will do. I think I was being reasonable with my questions. I was not being rude. This company is not trustworthy. Only companies that have something to hide are afraid of questions. I asked simple straight-forward questions which is clear in our text exchange. I'm actually thankful that they declined their "service". I was able to get better service with 3 month guarantee for $220. He is a licensed professional and he came right away. He put lots of traps, poison, sealed entry points. No fuss and happy to serve his customers. I am sure there a lot of great options. You can get great service and price at the same time. So my advice is to those looking for pest control specialists, look around. I called many companies and I was quoted $250. No ranges or anything. I am a person that likes to know what will be expected. So having a price helps. So lots of people within the lower Mainland that can do a home for $250 in 2021. They offer the same services and guarantee. So shop around. They are all local, small businesses.

We have had other pest control companies work for our building, but they all seemed to do the same, leave some food bait traps... periodically come back when called, and repeat. Phantom came and did an inspection, provided education, not only about options, but also providing feedback about good things about the building and things we were doing well, and/or can do ourselves. The main difference maker for me, was they had a "prevention" plan, to locate and find potential entry points, not just treat after the fact. As a total pest control company, they provided other suggestions in a report, for considerations. You don't want to need them, but if I have pest control issues, I would call these folks again and recommend them as well.

We called Al from Phantom Pest Solutions to take care of a silver fish issue at one of are apartment blocks, we spotted a few in one of the vacant units and called him late on a Friday night and he came after hours where others would not! This is not the first time we’ve called upon him, we had an issue with a new tenant that moved in and brought cockroaches from his previous apartment, we called him for this issue as well and he took care of the problem, no cockroaches ever since he treated the building!
