Chris came to my house in 1999 or 2000 when he was first starting his business. He screened the vents in my attic because I had roof rats. He almost got stuck screening the vent over my garage, it was such a small narrow space. He told me he almost didn’t do the vent over the garage, but I am so glad he did. After that little adventure, Chris returned to screen the top of my chimney because a grey squirrel was building a nest in the chimney using branches from the laurel bush nearby. Chris used a coat hanger to fish out all the laurel branches the squirrel had stuffed into the chimney before he screen the top of the chimney. Chris was originally recommended to me by my cousin-in-law and it was one of the best recommendations I ever received. I was a single mother with two small children and I can’t thank him enough for seeing me through those times. I would not hesitate to recommend North Shore Pest Detective.

After battling with pantry moths for a while, we had Pest Detective come in and spray the cracks and crevices in all our kitchen cabinets. Of course, we had a lot to do to prep for this, cleaning, sorting, tossing but that's a good idea anyway. The fellow who came was very personable, quick and efficient and a week and a half later, we've only seen one dead moth in a kitchen drawer which is good. We'll continue to be pro-active and vigilant but Pest Detective seems to have done a good job.

These are the best folks I have met in this business. Howard in particular takes on his "detective" role with great determination and has a ton of experience. We had a really tough furnace room for him to work in, with confined spaces, and he showed great energy and resourcefulness. Howard also does not over-sell or suggest an overly high number of visits. Some companies want to build you into a monthly cycle which may be too much. Dealing with him and the company is a pleasure and the results have been great.

We've used Pest Detective three years running to spray around our property for ants. The first year was in response to ants in the house, the second and third years were pre-emptive sprays to prevent ants coming inside in the first place. (These were successful - we haven't seen an ant inside since year one) Every time, the person who's shown up to work has been on time, pleasant, respectful of our requests, and quick. Payment is quick and easy via a payment app the rep has on their phone. We'll use them a fourth (and fifth, and sixth...) time for sure!

Austin came in and immediately took care of business! He listened to my wife's concern with the neighboured Owls preying on rodents with poison. Austin explained the process and how it would not affect Owls. After one visit and setting traps in the most strategic places it worked. By the 2nd visit the activity had stopped. We now await the final visit to plug any holes. Austin is professional , courteous and works clean and quickly. Owning a service company myself i wish i had a few Austin's on board. They were wonderful at explaining the process of getting rid of an aggressive raccoon and helping with strategies when she wasn’t caught in the first two weeks. Great customer service and their technician, Gary, who was very helpful, walked me through the process patiently about how to use the trap and how to bait it, and then he set the initial trap in a good location. Finally after a successful night, he came back and picked her up. This raccoon has attacked our pets, dug up the yard, thrown herself at the door, etc. It’s good to have her taken away after many years, no thanks to the neighbour who has fed her.

On April 27, I went to Gibsons from Langley, BC, to meet with your technician about exterminating a carpenter ant infestation. Shortly after I arrived at the house, the technician showed up, but he was looking at the house next door. When I told him the work was scheduled for my house, he said no that he was supposed to do work at the house next door. He checked his schedule, and, sure enough, I wasn't on his schedule. Because this was a follow-up to last year's work, he said that he would fit me in, and he started work immediately. He courteously explained what would happen in clear terms, and within a few hours I was able to re-enter the house. My experience with the technician was very positive.
