units are clean and easy to access at all hours. you provide your own lock but they have those available as well and it's yours to keep. Renting is on a 28 day cycle so just be aware if you are trying to sync it with the start of the month. o Overall very helpful and friendly staff. Would use agaib when needed!

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AT THEIR FINEST!! They offer 1 mth for free When I called today and reserved my 10x15 unit, they said the first 4 weeks for free promotion doesn't exist! Why is it posted on numerous sites? Bad for Business!

Shawn at Access Storage is awesome and was very helpful. This is a clean place and I admire their professionalism and kind attitude.

Pro; Very friendly staff. great location. Con; after a month of storing i emptied my unit. my bed and several other articles soaked. The unit leaked. I've since had to buy a new bed and throw away a handful of items.. not what you expect from a place you pay good money to store your belongings. I never heard back when i asked for some form of compensation. I suggest you go elsewhere if you want your items looked after.

I rented for 3.5 months, pay the month upfront. The unprofessional behaviour at this establishment is by far disgusting, don't get me wrong there nice at first!!!

FELLOW STUDENTS, DO NOT GO HERE. They will steal from you! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, website mentions that they will “hold unit for free” however they DO NOT stick to their word on this and I was charged a $28.00 “administrative fee” to hold the unit PRIOR to even renting a unit from them. Called the next morning to ask for a refund and was told that the fee was non-refundable as my 10 minute call was considered “an administrative expense”. Not even legal experts charge that amount for 10 minutes. Absolutely unbelievable customer service, and the manager did not even have the decency to contact me back themselves, rather, had the same unhelpful employee return my call which of course, achieved nothing. To any fellow Nipissing students looking to store your stuff over the summer I STRONGLY urge you to take your business elsewhere after reading these horrible reviews.

Overpriced and poorly maintained. over $200 a month for a 10x10 unheated. Other places charge between 150-200 with nice maintained units. find somewhere else to store your things with a company that charges fairly for their service

From getting into a unit too emptying it... was a very enjoyable experience! Climate controlled so my stuff stayed dry and moisture free for the 4 months I was there! Very happy! Great experience. I was looking for a safe, secure storage site for a classic car. I had no idea what size I needed or how I would access the units. My first call was unsuccessful because all units were full. The Manager, Shawn Foisy, took my name and number and called a short time later later when the right size unit opened up. He was so patient with me and helped me sort it all out. He is very knowledgeable and extremely courteous -- my car is now safe and I am confident it will be secure over the winter months.

This was quick to arrange; I was able to do it from another city and is a great option for University students to store their household belongings rather than moving them all back home for the summer. Storage was fine, staff were great, automated messages about being past due when account was paid up until end of tenancy were harassing and unnecessary. Paid til Aug 3, getting emails and automated phone calls prior ro date (ie July 27th) that account was overdue. NOT APPRECIATED

Poor experience. No payment plan options only monthly payments and late fees are outrageous. Upon pick up of my unit all my furniture was wrapped and still full of mice urine and droppings and dead mice in my furniture. Live ones ran away as I emptied my unit Wood furniture destroyed and unreplaceable items ruined of urine. Contacted them and was accused I had food in there as a wrapper was in there. Which I didnt not place. Getting run around . was a small hole at back of unit. All storged was furniture washer dryer and boxes of glasses etc. Not recommended ..

Conrad and Shawn reduced the stress that my family had during our move. Everything was falling off of schedule, our house sold before the new one was finished and we had to store a 6 bedroom house worth of furniture. They managed to find us the multiple units that we needed at a great low price. The prorated the rent on a per week basis at the end of our stay which saved us A LOT of money. None of the other facilities in town work on the 4 week structure like they do and would've charged me a full cycle of rent. Honestly do not know why I am seeing bad reviews on here, they're great!

Edit: I am updating this review because my concerns were promptly rectified by the regional manager, Stephanie. Stephanie was polite and very helpful, and I am satisfied with the solution that was offered to me. Original review: I don't usually write reviews but unfortunately I have been having difficulty with this company for the past few weeks. It has been 3 weeks since I originally e-mailed with a concern about rent increases with no notice given, and the staff at this location have yet to help me. I have had to call them several times to try to make contact, as they have seemingly ignored my e-mails and phone calls. When I did speak to Shawn originally, I was told that I would receive a response from him the following week. After no response that week, I called again and this call too was not returned. Shawn, as the site manager, was not helpful in assisting me, and I'm very disappointed in the service I have been receiving as of late.

It seems like within the last year, my review was deleted and a bunch of 5 star reviews came in from people who only reviewed 1 or 2 places within the last 12 months, most the last 6 (suspicious). Long story short, they get broken into 2 or 3 times a month. This isnt an assumption, their corporate office and staff told me themselves after fighting with the insurance they provide. Insurance needs their office to call them and tell them its broken into. They wont do it. Called well over 15 times to get this done, head office, everything - they ran out the clock, highly suggest filing your own police report (even if they say the company needs to, insist on it for your records) and using your own insurance because i bet the reason they wouldnt call is they didnt file a report (when it wasnt just me either who got broken in to, the whole line of units did and speaking with a few, none of them were able to claim who had their insurance). Also, clean is not a word i would use to describe, anyone who says so hasnt been at the building long enough as there is very evident a rodent problem. To this day, you can see the problem just looking at the buildings but also its out in the bush so any cloth, mattress or textile will get ruined regardless of food or no food (they blame it on that from talking to past customers). Easy proof, lean on the walls, push on the ceiling -- look for rodent droppings as these are metal sheets.... You may also notice you can stick your hand into other peoples units doing this (its flimsy metal after all so if 1 unit has rodents, they all do). Save yourself the headache, find a place that doesnt look like they paid for reviews or offered a discount for a 5 star review from someone there less then a month. Its deceitful to say the least and suspicious considering it went from 1.8 stars to over 4 in less then a year (mice dont disapear that easily when in the bush i can tell you that much). When things go well, its not the worst: easy payments, 28 day cycles and always vacancy but what matters is when things go wrong and the support is just not there for it when it does.

Staff is amazing and facility is dry and secure. They are on a 4 week payments and do prorating when moving out. I have stored at a monthly facility in the past and they charged me a whole month when I only needed the unit for one week. I would 100 % reccomend Access Storage. Thank you for making this so easy. I have since moved out but will return if I need storage again.

DO NOT GO HERE. UNTRUSTWORTHY. This is one of the most unprofessional places I have ever been to. I was charged an additional hour of moving because of one employees incompetence. There was never any indication that there would be a lock on the door when I moved in. I even told the man when I would be moving in. He had no explanation for why there was a lock and then quickly left after unlocking it. Later the movers told me that this establishment has been known to do this to people previously. The movers said they would help me with my case if I required so. I called the head location in Toronto and they said I would have to take it up with the local office. When I called the next day the office was open, I was met with rudeness. He had no sympathy. Makes sense because he was the reason I was upset. I asked for an explanation and all he could do is lie and say he told me things he never did. I then told him I could call the movers and they would back me up, he said "I don't believe that," to which i replied "okay you can call them." He said he would but I doubt he did because he knew very well he was lying. He was stumbling over his words and could not give me a clear explanation as to why this incident occurred and why it has so many times in the past. The way he dealt with my complain was by far the worst part. He basically just told me I was a liar and he's right about everything and disclosed all the information. This was the most unprofessional encounter I have ever experienced. If you want to rent from a place that is handled by a very untrustworthy person, who will later turn the blame to you rather than resolve the problem, then this is the place.

Terrible customer service. Paid a deposit/hold before we could see the storage unit. Didn't take the unit because it was a tiny box unit on upper floor. Was supposed to get refunded 3-5 days but it's been 2 months and still nothing. Spoke to at least 5 people and every employee has a different answer.
