Consulting with Humane Solutions provided meaningful and effective information that has helped to contain a mouse issue and isolate my suite in a building that has become infested. They exposed how I was being misled and misinformed by the property management and their pest control company regarding what was (and what was NOT) being done to properly deal with this situation, and in turn offered a proactive DIY game plan that so far is showing results. Wasps managed to make a number of nests in boxes that I kept outside; on moving day (moved houses) I was not entitled to receive my security deposit until my possessions were removed - who ya gonna call? Humane Solutions! They fit me in the next day. Rob, wasp removal technician, called me 30 minutes out from arrival so that I could meet him at the property. He was wonderful and calm and he was prepared for the removal. He went above and beyond by helping to bag my possessions, he even helped me to sweep up debris that wasps left behind. Angelica is super responsive; she is very courteous on the phone and her emails were very simplified and clear. Lots of payment options! I like that I can etransfer if I want to. It has been a very stressful last few days (moving, and nothing working out as planned) so it was quite the relief that Humane Solutions executed everything so well, and are very kind! Humane Solution technicians identified our mice problem & solved it efficiently and thoroughly. Recently we called them to deal with a prevention problem: a female mouse kept trying to enter our front door to nest. The technician came, set a wire fence where the mouse attempted entry. He also set one up on the other side of he door to insure the mouse had no alternative entry point. This is the kind of thoughtful thoroughness that we appreciate! We didn’t have any issues until 11 months later where I guess due to an old house, the rats found their way in again. They have a one year guarantee so they came back and sealed up any holes again. Their work is thorough, and the guys that came to initially inspect our home, and eventually secure all entryways and potential entryways into our home were both friendly, and professsional. And this year when we asked them to come back to see if the squirrels had returned (they hadn’t!) it was the same thing. They arrived on time and quietly got to work. When I asked for an update, the employee, Elliot, was super great at explaining what he found, and didn’t find. I manage a small older 9 suite apartment building that was infested with mice in 3 units on the ground floor and 3 on the main floor. the 3 units on the top floor had no mouse sign. All other pest control companies contacted would be placing some snap traps but they were mostly interested in placing (rental) poison bait stations with monthly monitoring contracts. I will need to coordinate with each tenant and attend those monthly just to watch bait stations refilled if needed, dead mice removed if any. Another company came to give an 'estimate' but when I suggested that he should at least walk around the building and look in some of the units, which he did, he then insisted that an 'inspection' (although verbal and undocumented) was made and is to be invoiced unless his company is engaged. Humane Solutions gave me a free estimate but upon my requested, produced an inspection report (for a small fee) for the worst infested unit documented with photos with descriptions so that I can better deal with the tenant. Jo, the owner of Humane also explained his approach and came up with a pest control plan for the units and the building in a very cost effective manner. It was humane, quick and simple. Tenants reported a diminishing mice activities after 2 weeks when Jo came by for a follow-up. I am looking forward to a mouse free building in the near future. Thank you Jo. Adventures with the raccoons started when I heard the sounds of babies in my attic. Called Humane Solutions to guidance and they came and reviewed the situation. As the babies were too small to move, we decided to leave them there and allowed the mom access, but Humane Solutions put up barriers on all potential access points into the attic. Best idea! The inspection happened pretty much right away and Ryan was great at explaining what was going on and how they could remedy the problem. humane solutions responded promptly to my request for a quote, and once I agreed that they could do the work it was done within a few days. I haven't inspected the work (it was on the roof) but from ground level the wire mesh looks like it was installed very nicely. My tenant was happy with the work they did..no more being woken up by the starling family that had taken up lodging in our roof. Humane Solutions communicated frequently though the process so I understood what was happening and what to expect next. I didn't give 5 stars because some small debris was left around the house after they did the wire caging. Would certainly recommend this company.

DO NOT waste your money on the competition. We had a family of rats move into our house, and we made the mistake of NOT contacting Humane Solutions first. The other company came, looked around, set a few bait stations, then left. They charged us the full amount, even though they completely missed the access points where the rats were getting in. Needless to say, the problem persisted. On a recommendation of a friend, we then contacted Humane Solutions. They came out immediately, and the whole crew - from the initial telephone contact right through to the guys who came to the house, were friendly, reassuring, and very thorough. They quickly found the access point the other company missed, and put a one-way door in place. And even though the rats found their way into other parts of the house, the Humane Solutions crew stayed at it until every hole was plugged and every rat out of the house. I cannot emphasize that it’s worth spending a little bit more for a thorough, professional job.

They both told me there was nothing more that they could do. I had given up trying to solve my pest problem until the renters started to smell What I imagine was a dead rodent. The first day they came to pest proof (rodents) the house, we didn’t have anything active but they spent the whole day making sure every inch of the house was proofed. I hired this company dealing with mice issues in my house based on their high google ratings. They had five visits to set and reset mice traps etc. They have removed all their traps and one-way door after five visits but didn't solve any issues at all. Total cost to me was about $1,600. We hired Humane Solutions to help us remove rats from our roof. Compared to the competition, they emphasized on securing our entire roof line which proved to be the right move as our rats stayed a few weeks and found new ways back in after the initial screen install and one way door. It took around 5 visits to fully stop the pitter patter on our ceiling but Humane Solutions was responsive every step of the way, reaching out proactively every week to see if the rats have left. Every technician who came was respectful and attentive, with special thanks to Cameron who figured out the change in pitter patter we were hearing after a few visits in adjustments -we likely initially had only adult rats in the ceiling but they stayed long enough to grow babies, hence the timeline and behaviour.
