Dollarama in Port Hawkesbury does carry some great things customers need but, the staff never seems to smile and the manager Veronica is not the friendliest,either.Less than five years ago,I walked into this store and asked Veronica where the tarps were? I asked her nicely and she was so rude and nasty and actually raised her voice to me! I should have reported her to the corporate main office for verbal harassment.THAT'S A GOOD WAY TO LOSE A CUSTOMER. I think her personality is not manager like and i think they need a better manager.Maybe,then the employees will be happier and smile. They need to widen the aisles more and have more cash registers,too.

The staff has been good BUT the security here is horrible. Yes, they need to keep an eye for thieves BUT two different security guards here have been absolutely creepy with following people the entire time they are in the store. Today one guy blocked like 30 customers from doing business and blocked the exit because someone called him out for following them, even the Dollarama staff told this guard to leave and let them continue business. There is no excuse for behavior like that, even if the people had been stealing, you should not cause a huge scene and cause a big business block and pretty much actively keeping people captive who weren't even involved.. Northtown Dollarama at around 4:30pm. Thanks to the cashier who tried getting that security guard to back up cause that was nuts..

Great place, 20 dollars on hand to spend? Its like a paradise. I feel like a kid in a candy shop. With so many different helpful things. Jars, cooking wear, variety of hair, body products, kids toys, you name it. I agree this store has a wide selection of stuff but I refuse to support them because of POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I visited the store today and noticed some shattered glass in one of the aisle. With so many kids doing back to school shopping. I took it upon myself to notify them. After looking around and couldn't find someone. I went up to the cashier ( Asian lady ) I proceeded to tell her about the shattered glass, she never even looked at me and continued to cash. Not a word of acknowledgement, I walked away totally baffled. To the management, teach your employees manners and common courtesy. I will not be patronizing your store ever again.

Large store. Has a pretty decent selection on a variety of items (kids toys, bath products, seasonal stuff, dishes, arts & crafts supplies etc). Store is heavily trafficked and understaffed so the aisles get pretty ransacked and the lines for the cashiers are long.

It's always fun to go here. The staff always glare at you and seem annoyed but I worked in environments like this and so I get it. But usually every place has that nice extroverted person who makes you feel at home. ????‍♀️
