Amazing, Art And Nature Coming Together

Michelle S

An unexpected discovery of a world of artistically crafted concrete statues on trails, tucked behind Crosby's Plant Nursery in Liverpool, NS. Discover the many statues - from human forms to a dragon - as you stroll the trailways. Amazing!

Joel Herzog

What a stellar display. This spot may be off the beaten track, but it’s well worth the diversion. The sculptures are amazing, with wide ranging pieces both large and smaller. You could spend hours wandering through the beautiful gardens, as each piece offers a 360 view worth walking around to see. Find the time and stop in here. If sculpture gardens is your jam, don’t miss this. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ????

Richard Hastings-James

Cosby's is one of Nova Scotia's best kept secrets as a natural art gallery. Pretty sure anyone will be blown away by this display that keeps drawing you in deeper, especially if you are into art, gardening, landscaping, and nature. What a sensory delight. They accept donations to keep the craft going. Pretty sure if you save your donation for the return walk, you will increase it based on what you have seen.

Teena Risser

An amazing beautiful place. An artist/ gardeners fantasy land. I have never been to a place that made me feel so much like I was walking threw a story book untill I visited Crosby's.

Chris Cocek

Cosby’s is just out of eyesight from Liverpool proper, but well worth driving around the corner for! Set behind the garden centre, the nature path is a wonderful escape! The creations are all so unique and detailed that it will take some time to see them all. Be sure to leave a donation on the way out!!

Ian Hopkin

Beautiful walk through nature with incredible concrete sculptures. Definitely worth a visit.

Anton Sibiryakov

I am a small fan of sculpture and art. but we had visited in Liverpool and my wife persuaded me to stop by this garden. I was very impressed and surprised. I was expecting to see a small workshop with all sorts of incomprehensible statues, but here there was a large park with comfortable paths, very beautiful and neatly planted flowers and bushes. and of course the sculptures: on the one hand, everything looks very natural, simple and logical, on the other hand, some statues make you think. I really liked it and I will recommend it to all my friends. Thank you Ivan

Barb Adams

A hidden gem. Lots of love and hard work went into creating this charming and enchanting sculpture garden. Admission is free, but there is a donation box in one of the sculptures.

Very deceiving in the beginning. You think it's just a garden center with the odd concrete statue. But then you wander to the back of the garden centre and Wow!

Tina Boutilier

This truly was an awesome amazing place to walk around take in the creations that they have here.. beautiful surroundings..lots to see..so many concrete creations .. beautiful grounds....a must see for everyone...and please give donations to allow them to keep this a free experience for all. Every little bit helps. Well worth any amount of a donation is appreciated.

Mark Hewitt

Amazing 20 plus years of sculptures, always amazing

Tanya Dellewell

This is a super cool place to stop. From the front it looks like a greenhouse. Which it is. But then you walk past the greenhouse onto the gardens! Oh my! The gardens have so many interesting varieties of plants! And the sculptures! Pictures do not do them justice. The artist's imagination and skill are spellbinding! We spent over an hour walking through the gardens. Lovely little gem.

This is one of the most interesting places I have visited. Cosby’s Concrete Creations and Garden Center is an off the beaten path kind of gem! It is a nursery and garden centre as well as an outdoor cement sculpture garden set in the woods. The natural background with the garden, designed paths, rocks, plants, and sculptures makes for a stimulating journey of discovery. You can imagine stories that narrate you through the creations. You can play seek and find games to entertain children and the meandering paths keep the walk interesting for them as well. It’s like a fantasy, entering another world. The sculptures can be viewed from most angles and in some cases the placement of the creations is also important. This trip off the beaten path was worth it. I will be returning annually to see the new creations by Ivan Higgins. Free will donation for the garden.

Krista Cummins

Wow!! You just have to go. This wonderful place was recommended to us by friends and we were so glad it was. The creative details of the carvings are stunning plus the landscape, flowers, plants and trees were an added bonus. The beauty was overwhelming. There was no charge to go only the option of a donation but once you see the hard work and effort it must take to maintain this amazing place you cant help but to give something. Please take the time to go to Liverpool and take in this experience for the eyes it will not disappoint!!

Nancy Sievert

This little gem has been getting more popular every year for good reason. The gardens are great, but Ivan's sculptures are AMAZING. An incredible place that is so unique. A MUST see in Liverpool. If you are looking for great gardening advice and unique plants this is the place to go!

Corey O

Amazing!! Very well manicured gardens with tons of cool statues to explore

L Silver

Delight, whimsy and awe in every step. Be sure to travel at a turtle's pace to ensure you don't miss a single creation or botanical treasure. All this for just a contribution for the upkeep of this spectacular space - be generous! It is worth it!

Me mack

What a beautiful place to be. We had a wonderful time. I enjoyed it so much

Liv MacIntosh

One of the most incredible hidden gems in all of Nova Scotia! Even if you have to drive out from the city or further it's worth the trip! The gardens have no admission price but I strongly encourage you to support the effort/donate however you can. Waking through the concrete gardens behind the main garden center is like stepping into another world of whimsy and contorted limbs. Friendly and thought provoking artwork of the highest caliber lies just beyond every corner and behind ever tree. Children will be delighted and amused! Adults will find something of themselves in their work. It's also filled with exotic plants some stark and obvious and others more subtle yet still alien to the norm. The choice of plants shrubs and trees is so diverse and interesting. Even permaculture instillations show us a forward thinking glimpse of how we might live differently and more enmeshed with nature. All I can say is, "thank you!" for sharing your work with the public as you have.

April Barnes

A great place to walk through. A hidden gem in Nova Scotia. So easy to drive by or miss.

dany bisson

Mike Ashton

Absolute gem to be discovered. Beautiful gardens and stunning sculptures. Highly recommended for kids and adults. Don't pass it by!!!

Kirk Greek

A great place to visit some concrete sculptures and has a nice variety of plants to purchase

Nanette Morris

Unreal Creations by Ivan! This is a Bucket List place to see. The pathways lead you around through the gardens which are filled with Ivan's Concrete Creations. You must walk all around each structure as it may have a surprise on the other side. The garden centre has the first structures so it will give you an idea of what you are in for. Just remember the first ones you see are his first and as you walk through the gardens you see all the years of work in session. A must see for sure!!

Terry MacBurnie

Amazing work!!! So much time and care goes into both the art and the gardens! Definitely worth visiting! Wow, just wow! ????

Francis Laframboise

The MOST underated and undiscovered, well kept secret of the area. Be nice to your waiters you never know... they often have the most valuable tip! ???? I am totally amazed at the collection that was built out of sight over the years and keeps growing... Beautiful, peaceful walk through the woods discovering each piece in a setting "made for it". Some are off of the beaten path a bit for even more fun and adventure. Took us an hour and really could have taken 2 easily if we had tried to really see them all and contemplate. Each piece feels alive and has its own "feel". We will definitely be back and bring others to rediscover this place as it grows in the future. All the best and thanks again

R Dog

May Zhagro

I highly recommend stopping by and visiting Concrete Creations. Google Maps will lead you to a plain parking lot of the garden centre and you would wonder why you decided to come here, but once you start walking to the side of the garden centre, you’ll discover so much interesting art all over the large property. There were many trails that led to some very interesting creations. The sculptures themselves are so detailed; you can really see the expressions, the muscles, and even the clothing creases. The fluid movements of the sculptures are captured so precisely that it was hard to believe that the sculptures wouldn’t come to life at any moment! The ground itself is huge and somewhat wooded, so don’t forget to bring some bug spray and sun screen. Admission is free, and there is also a donation area within the grounds. Definitely recommend supporting them for the creation and passion of the arts!

P Pahl

So artistic - just an amazing collection. We were in awe. Bring your hiking boots! Free admission, but based on donations. We gave them $7 and put it in the pot (first photo). Many acrobatic type of sculptures.
